Does anyone know a Ui suite mod that still compatible?
- Deleted all the loose zip files, PyTK, and Custom NPC Fixes.
- Movement speed and Time freeze haven't been an issue before now, when the game is trying to give one of us the overnight event asking if we want to gave a kid. If the issue persists, I'll remove those mods too. I'd rather not if I can help it, tho. Movement speed has worked with no issues for the both of us, we can independantly change how fast we move and it's never caused any problems. Time freeze just freezes time whenever one of us is indoors or in a cutscene. Only issue we've had is if one if us is in a cutscene and the other in combat, monsters freeze in place during the cutscene, and that's not a big deal, it goes back to normal once the cutscene ends
- Temporarially removed shop expander from mods folder to see if that is the issue. IDK how that mod would be affecting the "have a kid" event, but mods are weird and sometimes go poking around in things they have no business messing with. I'd like to keep that mod if possible, it lets me buy sprinklers from Pierre and stacks of 999 wood from Robin and stuff, and IDK how else to add things to shops like that
- I'll go get the other player's log as well. I'd like to note that yesterday when we were playing and had this happen, when I quit out of the game, it let the other person (who was hosting) finish the day and save
- I already updated all of the mods that my log was telling me to update

Hii I just downloaded SMTI whatever it's called to run mods on stardew. Can I run those mods on a world I've already started on vanilla stardew or will I need to start again?

and once mods are added and you sleep, can not turn the save vanilla again
Hi there! I started modding 2 days ago and yesterday i decided to fix and update all the mods with errors. after that my original modded file got stuck on the loading screen and i would have to close smapi due to it not responding. I figured i just needed to start a new file so i did and it ran just fine. Now the new file i played yesterday wont start and gets stuck on loading. In general, you can figure out whether a mod is (most likely) to work with the current version of Stardew Valley based on its update date. This is not a guarantee things will work or not work, but is accurate for most mods.
- 2016: Do not install (meant for incredibly early versions of Stardew)
- 2017: Do not install (meant for pre-multiplayer Stardew)
- 2018: Unlikely to work. If a Content Patcher mod, it might work, but in general it is not likely the mod will work.
- 2019: Content Patcher mods can be tried from here fairly easily. C# mods should still be mostly avoided.
- 2020: Content Patcher mods should work, but may be buggy. C# mods may work, but due to the 1.5 update there may be conflicts.
- 2021+: Should be usable.
Not really sure where to ask about this, but I went to buy a cow from Marnie's today after having several issues with mod crashing (I believe related to incompatibility with Animal Produce Expansion.) I'm trying to test my hypothesis and purchase another cow to see if the crash continues to happen, however, after removing that mod my cow price is now 15,000 instead of 1,500? Is that a bug or am I missing something? I'm relatively new to the game, but I could have swore the purchase price was only 1,500.

Ok, getting rid of Custom NPC Fixes and PyTK fixed it! I had a kid and it did not break the game! IDK which of those two mods was the one causing problems.
However, deleting one or both of those mods made me unable to visit the Stardew Aquarium and Mermaid Island

One more thing: My fiancée is having trouble triggering Olivia's 14-heart event. She has seen both parts of her 12-heart event, and is going inside the farmhouse at the correct times while Olivia is home, and the event is just not happening

Specifically, it can't be spring or the 28th of a month. There's also a potential bug but I can't verify that yet especially since my mods are a tiny bit behind at present

heh, nope. IDK where that was read, but until 1.6, the only season related event condition is that it cannot be a season
so it would have had to say z summer/z fall/z winter for that
(That or you'd need EPU for an inverted condition, e.g. !z spring)
One more thing. Deleting those dependencies made it possible to visit the Aquarium and Mermaid Island again, but now a lot of our items got changed to different items? IDK what got changed to what, but I suddenly have 49 pecan saplings in my fridge. A lot of items are categorized as the wrong things too, such as a lot of cooked foods and ingredients being seeds

Shuffle should have been completely excised outside of fish ponds. I would more assume you guys have mismatched mods if you managed a shuffle
i.e. you have those two locations, but your fiancee did not do the same and therefore has no access to them or the items, causing shuffle.

We shouldn't have mismatched mods. I did all the changes on my computer, copied my mods folder to a flash drive, deleted her mods folder, and replaced it with mine

Reset Terrain Features (https://smapi.io/mods/#Reset_Terrain_Features) is a mod that lets you reset, clear, or generate everything that spawns on a map using an in-game menu. That's especially useful when changing maps mid-save, as the debris will otherwise use the old layout (causing things like trees in the water or bushes blocking exits).

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

Issue: On a separate "cheaty" farm I have a few greenhouses (the base that comes with the farm) and two that i've had roblin built (mod), the one that comes with the farm DOES load the mod I have in the folder to make the greenhouse bigger. The two I've had Robin built just load the normal greenhouse (that would load with no mods).

Okay, the game froze on us again. My game specifically, my SMAPI log was filled with red. As soon as I quit, my fiancée (the host) was able to progress and save the game. As soon as I quit, fiancée got the 10,000,000g achievement, so I am gonna guess this problem may be related to that?

Lance for me, Olivia for fiancée. I have a kid in the crib, fiancée has a baby on the way

Before you go to sleep next, try "debug whereis Lance"
It MIGHT be farm type manager being out of date? I thought I updated it, but turns out I didn't. Laptop decided not to download the updated version, and I didn't notice because I had a dozen other mods to update that did download. All my other mods are up to date now.

debug whereis Lance just asks "okay, Lance, did you walk straight off the map again."
I know where Lance was when we went to sleep. He was at the Fable Reef
We went to sleep at 3pm, and I had seen him there a little bit earlier in the day
The game has an issue where occasionally it just loses track of NPCs
Like, they try to warp from one map to another and just fail
And end up on NEITHER
That's basically the only way I can explain that error (unless Lance somehow just popped into the movie theater)
The error is "well we can't find your spouse. Anywhere."
Band-aid solution is to just quit if my game is causing us to freeze like that, and join in the next day. I'd still like to get to the bottom of this issue and fix it, if possible. Quitting and rebooting the game every few nights/every night sucks
So there's nothing I can do besides "debug whereis Lance"
Will that even fix it? Or will it just tell me "IDK lol, but this means you are gonna freeze the game when you try to sleep so get ready"

My game broke when it was trying to do the baby arrival event every time. Getting rid of Custom NPC Fixes resolved that issue. This is the first time it has happened since then, and my baby is now over 2 in-game weeks old
Only thing different about tonight compared to other nights was us getting the 10,000,000g achievement overnight
If I recall correctly game is trying to get Lance to ask you for a second kid

He can't be, our 1st baby is still in the crib. Now that you mention it, this day my game just froze on was the first day my baby was interactable, standing up in the crip opposed to lying down in it
Spouse can't ask for a second kid if the crib is occupied by the first
And our first kid isn't even crawling yet
If I recall correctly, the code dies before it gets to that check

The other thing is to check Lance's schedule for "places NPC often disappear from" but I actually don't know late game SVE maps well

He a busy guy with First Slash responsibilities and can't spend every night at home
Npcs have issues walking around on Island South East, have always had
(Ie, an NPC walking from Island South East to Island South will vanish.)
Gosh, this is the type of thing where I guess the next step is to follow Lance around to see if he tries to vanish, but that sounds like a lot of work for a bug that should only happen 5% of the time or less and is fixed in the next game version
Fiancée and I even unintentionally followed him today! She saw him at the Wizard's house and commented that she didn't realize Lance goes through the Wizard's basement to get to Fable Reef. I went to Fable Reef to see him there because I was also curious, and he was indeed there.
We went to sleep at 3pm, and at that time, he is supposed to start heading inside the building there. So if he did disappear between maps, it was the transition from Fable Reef to inside the First Slash Guild

I can check that map for issues, the primary one is in how warps are set up

So you need to update, any previous ones probably won't work.
Prob 3.2.7 because I removed 3.2.8 for not saving at all (I am the developer of save anywhere)
Unless you saved when you were stuck it should get you unstuck

xnb mods are bad but they shouldnt cause your save/mods to disappear but i guess anything is possible on android
If you've got a backup from before it then you can use that

Everything installed fine and it doesn't mention any errors, the application just doesn't open.
I'm running the game with SMAPI, UI Info Suite 2, Lookup Anything, Data Layers, Content Patcher, and a few cosmetic mods (BAGI, BAGI Mead, Ancestral Trees, Anthro Characters Continued, Burnt Sienna Wood and Gold Craftables, Elle's Seasonal Buildings, Fancy Artisan Goods Icons for BAGI, Nady's Beehouses, and Seasonal Seed Packets). How much of this would a friend have to install in order to join me? I know that Content Patcher and all of the content packs for it aren't required, but could they join without having SMAPI installed? If not, is SMAPI the bare minimum or would they need other mods as well?

You can mod your multiplayer games, but to avoid any hiccups, all players' mod lists need to match. If players have too many mismatched mods, you will experience bugs in your game - even if the mods were working fine earlier, there is no guarantee that they will stay that way, and strange things may start occurring. There are a few exceptions to this - cosmetic mods usually work fine with no glitches, and some C# mods work as well. Mods often include information on whether or not they work in multiplayer in their descriptions. However, in general, your mod lists should match exactly.

not sure if anyone responded, but the cellars made my game super laggy but I was able to use
Interesteing (mostly harmless) bug I discovered. IDK which mod (if any) is causing it, but it is probably a mod because IDK if this happens in Vanilla.
I have an excessive number of bombs, so I've been just heading to skull cavern and using them to blow up as much iridium as I can. None of the ore nodes I've been blowing up were dropping prismatic shards, only ones I break with my pickaxe and monsters drop them... or so I thought.
Turns out, the prismatic shards that were dropping from the iridium ore nodes I was bombing were indeed dropping. Just not for me. They'd spawn on whatever map my fiancée was on at the time, and her magnet rings would suck them up towards her.
Only mod I have that affects Skull Cavern (as far as I'm aware) is Skull Cavern Elevator. It's not a problem that needs solving, I just thought it was an interesting glitch and wanted to see if anyone here knows why it is happening

Hi all! I'm running a new save with Adventurers Guild Expanded and NPC adventures. Im not sure if there might be a conflict there but after my intro cutscene for NPC adventures, i was in the area of the adventurers guild interior that was adjusted for the adventurers guild expanded, except when i tried to exit out the lower door it jumped me to the right of the interior of the guild and it was just black and had to exit the guild by entering the doorway. No errors on my SMAPI screen either. However looking at it the guild isnt showing the expanded interior.

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

Can someone help me? Trying to use debug commands to force myself to hook the pufferchick. IDK why I can't catch it. Aquarium is completed, and I have picked up an egg in a coop I had Robin build, laid by a chicken I purchased and named. IDK why it isn't letting me catch it. I want one for my fish tank at home and it is the only fish I am missing in my collections tab, and that's bothering me

debug fish 4101 (I believe that is pufferchick's ID) says "Sent debug command to the game, but there was no output."
I am doing the debug command while my fishing pole is cast into the water
If you're sure that the ID is correct, you could input debug caughtfish 4101:1
Maybe I read it wrong and that's for the number of fish as opposed to a specific fish ID.

I have an item spawner mod, but just giving one to myself doesn't count as catching it.
debug fish 4144 starts the fishing minigame, but if I hook something else in the process, the new fishing minigame overwrites the one for the pufferchick
And the console still says "Sent debug command to the game, but there was no output"

OK I figured it out. I had to run the debug command while I had a fish hooked, so the pufferchick fishing minigame would overwrite whatever else I hooked

The guild isn't added onto until you complete the expansion quest. When it is changed, you access the rest through a door on the Guild's map

Honestly it looks like your mod has a bad map edit with the updatewarps
And that's putting aside... everything else... red in that log
(Seriously though, to help troubleshoot, it's best to pare down a log to just your mod and content patcher. Having that many mods, plus with all those errors.... it's nigh impossible to pinpoint the singular issue.)

does anyone know if skipping a cut scene will affect friendship level with an NPC, if I would have had the chance to select certain dialogue, but didn't, because I skipped it?
I had to repeat a day because a mod crashed my game, so I kinda skipped it without thinking
I believe that skipping the cutscene also skips the friendship points you could have gained or lost depending on the dialogue options you choose

I'm not sure why but I'm playing in a world with my bf and for some reason everytime I try to go into the mines the loading screen pops up and then disappears and then when I try to warp somewhere else I'm still stuck in the mines And I can't even move around or anything I'm just stuck until I close the game and this is even happening in the quarry I'm using imerrsive farm and Stardew expanded

My guess is that you didn't do what Rose already did to get Error Handler back and removed Xtardew
at which point your save kinda needs Error Handler to yeet the old data

But in short, for the both of you, Error Handler is needed to remove the effects of old mods. Without it, your save won't load.

In the morning, he was in my cabin when I woke up at 6am. Almost immediately left the farm because on Tuesdays he goes to the Adventurer's Guild. IIRC I watched him go to the highlands as well, I passed by him on my way back from there. Watched him walk up to the boat to warp to the highlands, and he vanished, but I didn't think to go back to the Highlands to check if he actually made it there.
Also, his wiki says he isn't even supposed to go to the highlands anymore once married, but IDK, the wiki has some wrong info in it (like the wiki says that the 1st part Olivia's 14-heart event can only be triggered in Spring, when in fact it can only be triggered in a season that isn't Spring)

Ok, combine many rings seems to be the problem. I'd guesstimate that 99.9% of her log is Combine Many Rings spamming stuff about a bunch of combined rings. I threw away all of my rings and cheated a bunch of new ones and manually recreated them, in the hopes that whatever error it was giving me in my game would be resolved. Instead, it looks like every time I combined some rings, SMAPI had to re-log every time I had combined a ring in the past, so every time I combined new rings, it just got longer and longer.
Line 10,234 is where the CombineManyRings spam starts. And it goes on until line 7,682,658

You have multiple mods patching the tree terrain assets: Project Yellog Modular Tree Recolor and Magica Trees.
I'll delete one of them and see if that helps
The crashes weren't caused by the CombineManyRings stuff.
According to other people in this chat who looked at my logs, it is because I married Lance, and he keeps disappearing, and when we go to sleep overnight the game tries to make him ask me for another kid but can't find him so it freezes. Even though the crib is still occupied by our 1st kid, and we cannot have a 2nd kid yet because of that.
The CombineManyRings spam was just making it hard to share my fiancée's SMAPI log from that session, because it made her log way too big.
These crashes keep happening even when there is no CombineManyRings spam in either of our logs
I ended up just reinstalling the yellog mod but it's still the same just green now
And got rid of the other mod
So uhhh... Dunno if anyone else has had this problem, but here goes. I have MARGO, with it's Blade of Ruin Quest. I also have the Magic mod, which is compatible with the rest of MARGO so I figured it wouldn't be an issue. However, I can't progress with the Blade of Ruin Quest because Magic makes the Yoba altar I need to talk to for the quest into it's magical interaction thing. Any advice???

Basically you can't have both.

I think it's probably possible that this is just a problem with me having too many mods installed at once, but I just finished making sure all my mods were solid, opened the game, made a character and went to start my new save- as soon as I started it, though, it immediately got stuck and crashed after a few minutes waiting. Do y'all know if this is a common issue with heavy mod folders?

(Ping on Reply) I'm having issues with theShop Anywhere mod I believe it is. I have been submitting items for CC bundles using it. I finished the fish tank, but inside the CC doesn't reflect that, but the button for it is gone. I also still have the Rat Problem quest and the boiler room button isn't there yet I have submitted stuff for it. Anyway to fix this? I don't want to get to the end of the CC in this playthrough for it to not complete. Any suggestions or ways to fix this? Commands or something.

Yeah I tried that. I thought there was a note on the groun in the cc after talking to the wizard you could read it, but it was never there
it should have been there before you get to talk to the wizard actually, in the state where you can't read it. but maybe cjb cheats menu can complete it and the following quest and let the cc work normally though
