Did anyone here have had the red shoe bug before? I read about it online and apparently it's caused by some mods affecting the save files. It changes all shoes in the game to appear red on the player when worn and apparently the only way to fix this is editing the save file

If you are having issues with all of your shoes turning your Stardew character's boots red, your boots internal data has corrupted. Thankfully, this is mostly a benign problem, and can be fixed by spawning new boots and throwing away the old ones. To spawn new boots, type debug fin <boots> in your console, replacing <boots> with the exact name of your boots without spaces (e.g. Space Boots become spaceboots).

Now I don't know if pytk actually broke it and if there's any portrait mod I can use. Portraiture doesn't work for me for some reason.

sadly boots data is accessed from the save load menu so it's likely the corruption happened from something going wrong when that was loaded, i don't know a faster way
Hello! I'm using the DGA conversion paradigmnomad made of his PPJA because I'm tired of the JA shuffle thing and I don't know why I'm getting JA warning "No idea what ------ is"? Some warnings appear twice with the same item like vanilla or shallot for example. I've updated all the manifests who's dependencies include PPJA from "ppja.moretrees" to "ppja.moretrees.DGA" for example but some mods don't have dependencies in their manifests despite their requirements of PPJA mods and I don't know what to do for that.

also json shuffles are mostly not a thing anymore and the "no idea" stuff is harmless

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

btw, regarding the red boots thing. I spawned new ones using the method described to me before, and sure enough I got brand new space boots. Cool! They even look purple on my character. So I put them on, went to bed and saved the game then quit. After I restarted the game, sure enough my boots are red again. Are you telling me I'll have to spawn new boots every time I play the game?

fish are more like objects compared to the actual animals that you have in barns and coops, its different
and those are done with Json Assets anyway, not CP
(Json Assets cannot make farm animals either)
Ok, Paritee's Better Farm Animal Variety uses deprecated code (IContentHelper.AssetEditors) and will break in the next major SMAPI update.

(Also, the MARGO thing - that's actually pretty simple. Go into MARGO's folder, take the dll for CommunityToolkit.Diagnostics.dll, copy that over to AtraCore's folder)
that'll temporarily fix that issue
the actual issue is that SMAPI expects only one version of each dependency, and right now it loads whatever is the first one it sees and not the newest. So if you have two mods that share the same dependencies, the one packing the newer version needs to load first.

you can temporarily disable a mod by renaming the folder so it starts with a period

margo is such a good mod but it adds some weird bugs, i had to disable slingshot bc it was doing like millions of dmg
Also, I don't know if you missed it earlier, but the reason why MARGO was throwing that red error when you updated it is because SMAPI doesn't really handle mod dependencies well
so if you want to try to update that again (I would back up the copy of MARGO you have), take the CommunityToolkit.Diagnostics.dll from MARGO, make a copy, and put that in AtraCore's folder (overriding the current version there.)
oh yeah i read that but since it was solved by downgrading one update (3.1.2 to 3.1.1) i just kept it like that
the tl;dr is that AtraCore and MARGO share that dependency, so when the versions are mismatched, you get stuff like that
you can trivially fix it by copying MARGO's newer CommunityToolkit.Diagnostics.dll to AtraCore

Hello! in need of some major help I'm loosing my mind! my game wont progress to the next day/save so I'veplayed Winter 3 Year 2 like 4 times now
on Windows - Everything is up to date game and mods wise - I've updated my PC, verified everything on Steam, Deleted and re downloaded SpaceCore and JsonAssets and its still not working! I've put the smapi log into a notebook file (it was all i managed to do before it closed) I've put a pic of all the mods I use and the SMAPI log doc too - any help greatly appreciated

Your save file should be fine - and it won't work anyway with Multiple Spouses installed.
Free Love is the successor to Multiple Spouses - it does the same thing.
So install that and you should be fine.

this shouldn't happen anymore unless there's an error before (or in the middle of) the schedule fixing, i checked it on almost every npc including some modded ones, in multiple states (even things that unexpected to happen like elliot appearing before day 7)

Are you on mobile? Pinch and zoom in on your screen so you are kind of close up on your Farmer and then open cjb spawner. Hope that helps it needs to be the right distance to be in frame

Unrelated - You have some duplicates for Artisan Valley which is causing a ton of errors. Idk what that No Soil Decay error is about, you'll likely have to find a new mod to do that if you really wanted

Sure!, i used both slingshots, master and normal, the bug happened with any ammo, it happened from one day to another(iirc it was a season change but i dont think it has anything to do with the mod?) i think i chose miner and spelunker for profs(didnt prestige any yet at the time). Disabling the slingshot module solved it, although now my hammer acts as a sword(but it isnt gamebreaking so i haven't tried to solve it)

it did like 8 digit number damage
i could do it with snowballs

like 2 blocks apart from the wall iirc
more than that and it didn't hit
unless i used explosive ammo which had more range
that one could hit me like 5 or more blocks apart

Pytk is updated and I just haven't found the file that isn't pulling the update correctly. Don't think that's it as it has been running fine with the same notification for awhile, but I could try removing it

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false
seems like nothing has changed. Colours might be deceiving, because this is a direct screenshot from the game with my ReShade active

That mod is an xnb mod, iirc, which means you would have replaced the content files. These kinds of mods are known to cause issues.
you can read through your mod descriptions for incompatabilties or install noclip and enable it during cutscenes

If you want to mod Android then you will need the old game version with smapi 3.7.9. the newest smapi does not work well, won't load any CP, JA, or DGA mods

I have a question. I had the farmer to florist PPJA mod installed, and there was an error with the newer version where the items/recipes sent in the mail didn't go through. I have been playing a save for awhile so I unfortunately missed those recipes since they require you to be a certain skill level to receive them and I have already passed those levels. I downloaded an old version of the mod and it now works, however I dont have those recipes. Would there be a way to somehow cheat those recipes into my save or resend those recipes through the mail. i have considered also just creating another save file and cheating my way back to where I am...

Try rebooting your computer. Don't open the game at all.
Then delete. If file explorer still says the file is in use, we'll have to figure out where.
Any one have tips on how to figure out which mods are the biggest cause of slow down? I’m trying to get my setup to load faster on a steam deck. Hate to have to sacrifice mods so trying to be picky about it

No problem. Sometimes the lag issues can be fixed by amending a mod's config. For example, by increasing the tick intervals in Automate.
for some reason lag only occurs more often on mine when I have played the game too much
It runs pretty smoothly considering I have 200 mods. just the load in the beginning/new day and with the latest batch of mods I threw in there’s usually a mid day black screen.

So, animation canceling might be the issue, since it's not native to SDV; SDV has a FPS cap.
The only way around that is to use the Fast Animations mod - and even then, there's only so much you can do

oh I just noticed that vpr for sve (albeit being so bold and using grandpa's farm and IF2R as its standard) has no dependency set for those two maps
I mean, why would it? You can’t require one or the other map in dependencies, and neither map is required for SVE

I edited the dependencies, so you don't have to, simply replace the manifest.json inside VPR for SVE's folder with this one and it loads after grandpa's farm
it will be fixed for grandpa's farm or IF2R, vanilla maps will always look off
if you want all of that fixed you'll have to get redraw pelican town

I think you have a mod that replaces the vanilla buildings on the map, but it works only for the vanilla map, going by the locations they are in

Anybody knows why my game keep getting stuck when saving? It's not freezing, it just can't finish for some reason.
It keeps happening, and the lost progress adds up at this point

afraid nothing I can do, Waterfall Tilesheets has no recolour support

If you got a legit copy smapi detects it automatically
Right click on your SDV folder and press "Copy as Path".

ok, get rid of FeTK and Tool Upgrade Delivery Service. replace them with Mail Services Mod
At first i would get the mail everyday but it would just go away after reding it. Worst case i close the game and reopen it
FeTK is old and has a bug that causes infinite mail

How can I fix this:
