I'll try it, but I have to wait for my friend to come back as shes the host and shes afk cooking, but it works fine if i'm playing solo, its only a problem in multiplayer, thats when portatiure doesnt work
That error just means....portraiture doesn't work in multiplayer and you would have to recode bits of it to get it to work

I goofed and updated it again thinking the error got fixed but ran into the same fatal error and this time I don't have any older versions in my recycling bin (the one I used that worked was 2.2.7 but I don't know if there are any versions after that that work or not)
nexus doesn't let me download archived files and the only other site I found with anything was gitlab and I think that was the source code or something because I have NO clue what 90% of those files are

I can't tell exactly what is wrong, but I think some of your json mods are likely conflicting with each other. did you install any mods recently? updating mods could also help

The item is too big I think is what it's saying, i.e. you have JA items that extend beyond the set parameters that they're supposed to
My guess is you have some JA hats or something that are bigger than they're supposed to be and PyTK isn't working to scale them like it's supposed to, OR the PyTK jsons that're usually included with items that are bigger... are missing.
that would make sense. i noticed that content patcher is unable to load one of the mods as well. reinstalling might help

i don't think it will cause any issues, it just won't load all the images relating to MSVE for some reason. i would try reinstalling it and make sure you are adding the full folder to your mods folder

Alright y'all I got a head scratcher here. Whenever I fight undead or bug monsters it at first attacks normally, but then after a few kills it turns to mummies only taking 1 damage while all other undead are instantly executed. For bugs however it results in all bugs taking only 1 damage at a time. I've tested with each weapon type, slingshots and explosives and am at a complete loss as to the cause. Now I will clarify I've added quite a few mods to this save and removed some as well so things likely have been shuffled around considerably, I'm mainly asking to see if anyone thinks this can be fixed or if it's a safer bet to simply jump ship and start a new save.
is there anything certain i have to do with retextures? or like textures that change the farmhouse to other? the same for animals… i had tried a few packs but i was unable to figure them out 😅 as far as actual mods go, like stardew valley expansion, i got that down… just not the other way 😅

it depends on the type of retexure. CP ones should make the change automatically, but if it was an Alternative Textures mod then youll typically have to manually activate those yourself using a special item on the object/character
for one thing you have a lot of errors 
there is a few things in the log that stand out, but i don't know exactly what could be causing it. I would try repairing your game, as it looks like there is a lot of errors the game is throwing out.
2 mods are unable to be installed, they will likely either need updated or removed (reset terrian features and Toshinori 1.0.5\Alternative Portraits )
and if you can, these mods seem to be casuing the most errors, so might be the first ones to remove when testing:
NPC Adventures, Stardew Realty Framework, and MUMPs
also some of your content packs are conflicting, which is likely unrelated but would be why neither are working
Two content packs want to load the 'Data/Events/WitchHut' asset (Alecto the Witch and Witch). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.

hi, there's a glitch that whenever i use the train to go to the aquarium, the train sound keeps playing after i'm done using it. is there something on my end i can do to fix this?

Update: I have tried playing the game without mods, and the flickering is gone. I'm thinking one of the framework mods is doing this, but I do not know which mod is causing it.

So, how do I disable all the weird scaling on SpriteMaster? I succeeded for the most part, but the snow particles still look weird.
And yes, the point is to make the game look pixelly again.
there's an option for the snow. i'm not sure what it is but it's separate from the resampling
(I know b/c I have resampling turned off but I keep the snow b/c I think it looks better than the normal snow. I would suggest fiddling with the settings at the beginning. Ameise helpfully included an image of what the stuff looks like with the various settings and there's definitely a snow image to play around with)
It looks better, yes. But I would've liked the sprites without the weird resampling, and it seems to be an either/or.
yes I get that and I don't need you to agree with me (it's ok to not like the resampling stuff--I don't like most of it myself); my point is that the snow is definitely a separate setting that can be toggled on and off.
check under the Advanced Settings
In the advanced options of spritemaster way at the bottom there is a toggle for the snow

first set the UseCustomPortrait option in the Farmer Portraits mod config to true with https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5098. then donwload the Template Content Pack from here https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/11398?tab=files, overwrite the portrait.png file in assets folder in the [CP] Farmer Portrait folder that comes from the Template Content Pack download with your portrait file (so that the name is portrait.png). then move the [CP] Farmer Portrait folder to your Mods folder and it should be done
For some reason my PFMautomate mod isn't using the PFM better bonemill mod. The mod works just without automate
as in it doesn't use the new values for the bone mill outputs. Since with the mod, quality fertiliser and speed gro are impossible but if I use a chest to input the bones, it yields quality fertiliser
So my issues continue. Have that SpriteMaster mod, still get flickering.

Yes. The game puts the error. It says something like spritemaster failed to load, fatal error. And then closes within 30 seconds
When i tried downloading the sprite master, the entire game crashed immediately and pytk started bugging

It's just weird because I can load sprite master alone, sprite master with all of my expansion mods, Sprite master with raffadax, wildflour, ppja and expansion mods. I have about 100 mods in a folder labeled "new items, crops, recipes" it doesnt load with that folder. I did half/half and Sprite master loaded with each half. Idek what the problem is lol

there's probably multiple mods touching the same parts of the game's code
and when all of those mods touch the same parts, the code actually gets invalid
I'm just going to start taking mods out of the folder I mentioned 5 at a time, and see when the game loads. When it does I'll at least know which set of mods it's in
yeah, your half/half probably didn't hit the right combo of mods
unfortunately debugging a combo of mods not working together is pain
i considered pinging Ameise (the author of SpriteMaster), but that log would probably also be useless to them

Content Patcher Animations makes my game laggy 
At least in conjuction with SpriteMaster (it takes a couple of seconds to unpixelize even though usually it's near istant)

They would show up there regardless of donating

not really sure, since vpr seems to pretty much be abandoned i assume it worked properly at one point and then sve updated and messed up the way the textures were patched somehow

Anyone know why all of my mods aren’t working 😭 I have have been playing with all of these for a few weeks now and never had a problem with any of them. I even played last night. However when I got on today none of them are working. I see that it says the files are empty or missing manifest.json, however I haven’t even touched my computer since last night when they were working just fine. So idk why anything would be missing or different 🙃

The PyTK mod is now obsolete. You can delete it from your mods folder, and all your mods should be safe.
If you get an error saying you're missing PyTK, open the mod(s) manifest.json and change the PyTK dependency from true to false

I see a new error with Dialogue Display Framework - I updated Dynamic Dialogues Framework today so I think it stems from that. I have been dealing with the Loraxikiel thing for a while so that isn't it.

how can i figure out how to make my rasmodia have the correct portraits? currently she has the default portraits in like 90% of interactions, but i have like probably three different mods that are supposed to change her portrait to like an anime one
Yes, there is a difference, and Adopt n Skin in SP specifically lets you have more than one horse
- CP mods change the horse texture for all horses
- AT mods either randomly change horse texture or you can control which texture each horse uses with in-game tool items
- Adopt n Skin allows extra horses
- BFAV (sort of) allows different types of animals, but it's kind of borken
and it persists even if you delete and reinstall both mods? 
does it happen with a new save that just has those two mods? (+ their dependencies ofc)

unfortunately i figured that out with BFAV. i am going to redo it in a little and try again with SP/adopt n skin… thank you for the explanation. i think thats why i may have been having trouble yesterday. understood the mods… just not the dependencies, if you wish to put it that way

shift right click on the stardew folder (where the game exe is), press open in terminal and type .\StardewModdingAPI.exe
just to be clear, does it crash without you doing anything? or are you clicking on it and it goes not responding, then crashes?

i searched the lastest version of the mod that was giving error
if it's taking a long time to load, you click and it crashes, it's most likely pytk. it's an older mod that increased your start up times and lag by a lot

theyre the monster crops, you get the seeds by slaying monsters in the highlands
each monster drops a different seasonal seed
are they all just in the first "woods" are that comes up or do you have to explore the whole map?
to kill all of them
uhh a certain type of monster will only spawn around the lake i believe

You need to turn the option for "Custom Portraits" on in the config for Farmer portraits
Also, you should probably use the remove background feature in the character maker, if you want the costume background to load
Oh, you're using the Template and a custom mod made by you, which load the same files. Remove the one you don't need (Guessing it's the (CP) Seasonal Farmer Portrait Template one)

The rescaling in pytk lite doesn't work and you'd have to go back to the old pytk which is laggy. The portraiture version doesn't use pytk at all anymore

Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle that I can't seem to find where the issue is; I downloaded Overgrown Flowery Interface https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6166 and they have a Comptability Folder included for other Mods like GMCM, FashionSense, LoveOfCooking but they don't show up in-game and there is nothing on the page that tells me how to install them, what can I do to fix this?
Essentially I tried two things;
1- put the Overgrown Flowery Interface mod in /mods and started the game as it is, everything worked except for the compatibility mods
2- I took the compat. mods from the compat folder and put them in the assets folder and after starting the game, that also didn't work
Do I have to modify the content.JSON ?

yeah so i figured something was odd and yes, i can craft items infinitely. when i go to crafting tab i can just do Shift+CTRL+left click or just shift+left click and spam to craft items without my resources getting actually used from nearby chests. I have better chests and convenient inventory among others. anyone heard about this issue?

Hi! SMAPI terminal isn't appearing, even though the game is clearly running with smapi and mods working. I think it's a linux issue because of something I saw elsewhere and because this is my first time playing Stardew since switching to Zorin os.
The game seems to run fine, but I rely on the terminal for checking mod updates, broken mods, etc. Does anyone have an idea for how I can make it appear?
and i dont quite like it cuz it works from everywhere and i dont really wanna use a legendary fish for sashimi for example

maybe you get some info from it if you launch smapi from a terminal (i.e. open a terminal in the game directory and write ./StardewValley + hit enter)

I don't mind launching from the terminal. And since it does launch smapi even when starting from steam- it just doesn't show the console- I can launch from Steam whenever I don't need to check the console for mod updates.

Two content packs want to load the 'Maps/Woods' asset (Farm Extended and Stardew Valley Expanded). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of the content packs, or ask the authors about compatibility.

Correction Kindle version was the latest but after getting smapi from github for android it lost sound in normal game too

If you mean bugs or anything like that, I don't believe there's any so you should be safe to update. I would certainly recommend you close the game before updating though

either rolling back to the previous npca version, or removing npca for rsv and wilford (which also isnt working)

can anyone help me? so i have seasonal path and flooring, and seasonal fences installed by Hesper, and i noticed that the item icons in my inventory for fences have the default texture, but when i place them theyre completely fine. the textures for seasonal path and flooring show up retextured in my inventory/chests but there is no retexture for the fences. i know its a small issue but its annoying me lol

but like, i'm not sure what's possible and/or smart
my two ideas so far are to rename the mod folders so i can manipulate the alphabetical sort to group certain mods together (like all mods that change portraits)
or to put those mods into a folder
will either or both of those strategies cause some or all mods to not work?

I go to the East Scarpe Inn wearing a ruby ring and/or carrying a ruby ring and it won't trigger a cut scene. Anyone have any ideas?
You have to use a specific ruby ring
It's not the vanilla, normal ruby ring but one you get somewhere else

when you update mods, do you delete them from the folder first and place the newly update one in it or can you just replace the file?
for cat and dog retexture, config file will be made when you load them up in game and you can change config using Generic Mod Config Menu on main menu
safest bet is to delete and then place the new one in

cuz sometimes mods rearrange how their files are organized between updates and that can lead to issues
there might be an addition or else that come with an update so it's recommended to delete old version and put new version
I've run into a ton of problems overwriting files until I started deleting and fully replacing the mods

- go into folder, copy config to, say, your desktop
- delete old version
- install new version of mod
- paste your desktop config file into the newly installed mod

youll have to get a scissors from robin's shop, then you use it on the horse and choose the desired texture

2 lumisteria bagi pack are for lumisteria crops and meads while wildflour bagi packs is for base game jellies, pickles, wines, juices and honeys unique sprites. for other item such as normal crops you need CP packs instead
But normal BAGI should take care of that

btw youre missing some framework mods required for the alchemist of ferngill so make sure you grab those if you want to fully enjoy it
