I can't explain why whenever there's a save that takes more than 10 seconds and while there's red text in smapi console
that is pretty weird
if there's red text in the console while saving, we'd see error on new day or something similar
It's happening once in a while. What I do is quit, delete two files, and rename the old ones
you should always just wait out saving. 10 seconds is obscenely short for a save time
but mods told me that's how I got my save corrupted
(I mean, we're not mods, we're modders, but yes, it's probably why)
So, the xml errors you have are really weird

Root element missing is usually from quitting out
If you get errors on save and they look different then it’s probably something else
But said something else would be in your log while saving regardless
I suspect the outdated frameworks
smapi will read outdated frameworks in light yellow letters

I always delete. That way if something is wrong with the new version I still have the old one to fish out of the trash since sometimes mod authors immediately archive old but perfectly working stuff

Atra means a log when your save file is getting corrupted, not when it is corrupted
i.e. when it's saving
you... get the log as it's spitting out red
or close the game and don't reopen it and get the log that way
Reopening will overwrite the log

You will see this in your commons folder in steam. click the folder then scroll down and you will the smapi api.

I know that the solution is to just play in compatibility mode with 32 bits, but I want to play with mods with my friends.
Is there a solution for this kind of audio glitch? I tried looking on forums, but nothing seems to work for me.
I know that the new framework MonoGame from 1.5.5 might cause this issue, but the games works just fine, until I open discord, at which point is start the glitching, and even if I close discord, the problem still persists until I restart the pc
Hi! I can actually answer this rather than needing to contact Ridgeside. You're currently playing on the Beta version of NPC Adventures, which is not yet widely supported (packs are coming out for it, but it's not widely adopted yet). Ridgeside's is meant to work with the stable version of NPC Adventures, version 0.17.5, which is also downloadable on the Nexus page for NPC Adventures, and which most packs that aren't legacy work with. You can remove that pack if you intend to stay on NPC Adventures Beta, or you can revert back to stable to use RSV NPC Adventures.
Should I ask for support with getting my list to work in MP or is that just insanity

Right, that's.... odd, though. With an XML error it's normally almost entirely save corruption. And normally when you say "loading screen" eventually they would connect after they leave it go without touching it for a bit

So, question. I've been using mods for a while, but haven't played in a number of months, so just about everything needed updating. I updated everything, and tried running, but just got this screen, and it didn't change after waiting for a while. I tried uninstalling everything, from SMAPI to Stardew itself, and removing all the mods from the folder, but I still get the same screen. Anybody know what might be happening?

It's not that its taking forever, I think it's just crashing as soon as it tries to boot up past loading the mods. At least that's what I think is going on. I've never had this issue before
Check to make sure your antivirus isn't quarantining smapi
....someone else had this issue recently, we couldn't fix it but they somehow did

Yeah, the screen position is in pixels, with the top left of your "main" screen being (0,0)
so unless you had like three screens and two of them were 4k screens a number of 5k didn't seem valid

Can someone help me out with the interior mods? I installed all the mods related to Industrial Interiors. The kitchen, country interiors, Rustic Town Interiors etc. But the only mod that seems to work (at least visually) is Warm and Cozy fireplaces. None of the interior mods show any changes. Well, you don't actually need pytk for anything, SVE seems not installed correctly, Custom Music isn't used for anything in your mod group

I stress the taskbar search bar. If you're typing it in the window that you're looking at with the mods in it, you're typing it in the wrong place.

i think my earlier message got lost. but is anyone familiar with the cats and dogs mod? sometimes my cat will sleep on my bed and then it won’t let me go to sleep. someone in the mod’s posts said they were able to set it so that they can stack over their pets so they can walk through their pets but idk how to do that since i’m still new to mods. can someone help?
I personally use Adopt n Skin for multipets, so sadly I don't know there

vanilla behavior is keep walking in the same direction to bypass the pet/NPCs
But when two NPCs/pets are in the same spot you can't. Adopt n Skin at least makes it so 2+ pets doesn't bar you from your bed at least but not sure about Cats and Dogs

Custom Cask Mod, Miller Time, BugNet, Gender Neutrality Mod Tokens, Sprites in Detail are needed for some particular mods to load

So uhh, I’m trying to get PPJA redux to work, but I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong cause nothing from the artisan valley mod is loading. I downloaded all the required mods and followed the instructions, but it seems to be not working.

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).
TL;DR use the JA versions, not the DGA version of PPJA

Okay, yeah. So I can see what's happening
First, you have double the Ridgeside stuff. Clear out any Ridgeside stuff in your mod folder and reinstall
The same is there for DaisyNiko's Tilesheets and Earthy Recolour fix
You need to install Lumisteria's Indoor AND Outdoor Tilesheets to use East Scarp, and to use RSV and SVE you need to install the SAAT mod
You need to install the main Happy Birthday mod to use the Happy Birthday content pack, and you need to install "More Grass" if you want to use Wildflower Grass Field
That should cover the errors you have

I probably did. I had a lot, and I mean a lot, of mods. Heaps weren't even mods. Most were frameworks of some sort. I could run SDV by itself barely and I have no idea to this day why I decided to download over 100 mods over the course of hours and not expect a crash.
I think I'll try download a few Nexus mods at a time and trial it through that rather than wasting hours downloading 100's of mods for it not to work.

IIrc, if you press F10 in-game, you will see a list of your mods. If you choose Yri's mod, you'll then see a menu with the available options and choose what you want

The good news: The mod deletion removed the big problem error that kept repeating!

yeah, i don't remember how the story goes/don't have SVE installed. But I think that vineyard requires you to have a certain friendship level w Apples the junimo.

...the only thing i can think of is that i believe i added the dots (to disable vanilla tilesheets) while the mod was in my downloads folder. Does that make a difference?
cuz I've had plenty of NPCs w vanilla tilesheets left in their folders and when I disable them for recolors to override the assets it works fine
even if it had a CP version, maps have changed a lot.
I wouldn't use a farm map last updated for 1.4
damn that sucks because i love maps that are very open like that
most map mods are way too overstimulating for me
...maybe.. somehow I saved the map in Tiled w the dots and confused the whole thing 🤔
i think I'm seeing a difference in the sheets it's asking for..
so I tried re-downloading, fixing the dots I put in the tilesheet names in the downloads folder (even after deleting it from DLs they still persisted - unless a couple tilesheet names did have dots in the og mod DL) -so removed all the dots. Opened map in Tiled, saved and closed. then put dots in the vanilla tilesheets names in the mod's folder in my Mods.
I hope any of that makes sense and it'll fix it. But i'm so confused now i really don;t know 😵💫

Sounds like a bug in the creator or you mixed something up trying to create it
