Does Mod Updater work for anyone here?
I have tried to run it before and it always crashes on me. I was wondering if there was a special way to install it or something. The Nexus page is remarkably terse
so .. i havent played sdv for a while, but i was / am a very avid mod user. i have 250+ mods installed but lots of them need updates... and im wanting to start playing again, but im concerned that if i dont update stuff i might have problems. what do i do lol.
not sure how long a "while" is but your best bet is to indeed update them, even if it's tedious lol

The situation is like this, we play in the joint game mode. At some point, objects on the location began to disappear.
At first it was as shown in the picture: leaving the house in an almost empty field.
Then, after the earlier save was launched, everything worked +- well, but when you go to the Marnie location, there is a similar picture - emptiness, the game freezes and crashes.
How to fix or what you can do mind not apply. Playing with mods, same problem for the host too. Updated SMAPI

Okay so it looks like the second one is having an error the first is not (you guys already did better than most who walk in here by having the same mods). Specifically: your Wild Animals pack is having an issue with the Russian Translation on the second log
I'm not certain where you're getting a Russian Translation of it from, as Nexus doesn't indicate there is one. However, that is the source of your problem - if you're playing in Russian and the game is trying to get a Russian translation where there is none, the game will freak out and crash. This will happen when you "warp" to Marnie's because the game has to draw the things that don't have the Russian translation
Trying a new playthrough with modded. Does ridge work with SVE? I saw some post saying theres some lags and bugs but that was 2 yr ago

its meant to recolour the child bed (which is what i mainly wanted the mod for) but its staying as default
It's an alternative textures mod
You have to buy the paintbrush at robin's
and apply it to the bed
The furniture you can customise are the Artist bookcase, birch dresser, birch chair, colorful set, deviner table, green cottage rug, green stool, luau table, china cabinet, classic lamp, country chair, child bed, festive dining table, grandmother end table, house plant, luxury table, ornate window, small crystal, small plant, mahogany end table, snowy rug, strawberry double bed, sun 44, yellow armchair and yellow couch.
Or any of these items

what is the unique ID?
it's an id that smapi uses to identify mods i guess is correct enough way to put it. but that's a mistake by the mod author, unless the manifest.json file got corrupted somehow

anyone can help with the repeating red errors?
anyone work on portraits mods on right now? im working on one for personal use with my friends so that it can work with smapi but for some reason i cant get the wizards portrait to work. everyone elses portrait is working except for his, and were not sure why
looking at nexus comments it might be an incompatibility between moon misadventures and custom backpack framework
uninstalling the moon misadventure mod seems fixed this
there is a bigger backpack compatibility patch, not sure whether it works for custom backpack framework though
so hey, is it possible to make organizational folders for mods that won't mess up smapi? like. i want to play a slightly modded game with a friend, but i want a super-modded experience for myself, so could i make a folder to put all the "extra" mods into so that when i play with a friend i can pull that folder out and put it back in when i play solo?

renaming the folder with "extra" mods to begin with . also makes smapi to ignore it
so, if i'm understanding the mod groups right, i basically make alternate game .exes so it launches with one group or the other? or am i misreading that?
(i am... moderately computer literate, but complex stuff isn't my strong suit)

Make alternate folder. So you can make folder 1 and inside that folder is mods for heavy modded play and make other folder for mp play
Or also use stardrop mod manager. So much easier to set profile for your own play

How does the CCCB installation work? Im trying to download it for SVE but when i put the mod in my mods folder it doesn't work. So is there anything i need to do for it to load?

One of the dialogues indicates it doesn't have an expression tied to it

i played stardew before 1.5 hit an it was a very long 3+ year modded file and i took to long to update the mods and now i can't figure out how to salvage or update my save file
what mods did you have?
a good number of the more popular mods have been updated (including the required files) post 1.5
so unless you have a more obsque (less popular) mod then it should have a updated alternative.
unless you had xnb mods then it might be slightly more dificult.
i had stuff like expanded, east harbor, that apartment mod and puts that place behind the buss top
a good number of custom npcs and couple character expansions, pretty sure i had all the proper framework
those seem alright
send a log w errors for help debugging
first step is make sure you have SMAPI correctly installed and that will go a long long way towards helping

3.13 is, by our standards and the coding it handles, extremely out of date
They need to update SMAPI first, then log us

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

Claire was never talkative in the game before, like she was glitched from the getgo
she even disappeared after i built the theatre, mwhich im pretty sure she wasn't supposed to do

so for some reason i can't find the music file...i looked through my mods folder and don't see anything left from SVE, and i even tried uninstalling and re-downloading the game
but the custom music file is still there even if i run with no mods
I am thinking about running SVE, adventure guild expanded, ridgeside village, and east scarp with all optional npc mods all together. Is that a bad idea or should they work fine all together?

I dunno what to tell you tbh, dawg. Removing SVE should have been as simple as deleting the SVE folder and being done with it, error handler should have done the rest

So i don't know what good the log is here but my game is now practically broken, alot of things are not rendering correctly, either using vanilla textures or more often than not none at all, i don't know what's going on all I know is that this is an issue with modded stardew, the vanilla game loads everything just fine

!log if you didn't find the mod where it's coming from, do send a log and we should find it, unless the reference is just stored in the save file (the custom music ids are added to the jukebox after they get played once as far as i know, not sure if they are ever removed). although playing correct custom music ids via the jukebox can crash the game as well

I would definately not try parsing it into any 'save editor' you might find, if they even exist anymore, as its quite likely to destroy any modded content if you save it, if it understands it at all

Technically that's modded farmers, channel wise

There are two. Adopt n Skin has been around longer, where you can adopt a cat/dog for a fee at Marnie's and you can have as many cats/dogs as you want
and can give them "skins" (although you'll have to put the originals in the AnS files to have the full range)
The other's more recent so can't give you quality assurance on it but it's something like Cats and Dogs

so i use dsv, but when i recently tried to play multiplayer with it on i wasnt able to host games and when i joined games it would make my friends games freeze. i only know it has smth to do w dsv bc i took all the dsv packs out of my mods folder and i was able to join games again with my other existing mods. i really wanna play w dsv enabled since its my favorite mod for sure so if anyone can help me figure this out i would appreciate it so much

You're missing Shop Tile Framework, the mod. This is dominoing to screwing over SVE and RSV
Second, you have IF2R and Grandpa's Farm, and if you try and load it with both installed, you will cause a crash. Only one can replace Standard at a time. (And if you want IF2R, you've installed it twice inside your mod folder, so please just reinstall that after deleting the folder)
Finally, please get rid of the SMAPI zip in your mods files
I also don't see why you're running PyTK but I'm betting I'm missing a mod that's dependent on it. I'd remove it though to see what's up there
ALSO Unlimited Players is unnecessary, CA already has instructions on how to play with 4+ people

hm. seems he's just supposed to send you a letter about it after you reach 4 hearts. Then you see a heart event where he introduces it at the tower.

Just a short explanation: I verified your launch options were completely correct for being on your E drive. Since StardewValley.exe is there, this means the launch options is not correctly locating StardewModdingAPI.exe .
Given that doesn't appear to exist in your folder, a fresh install would probably fix that. If it doesn't, we can attempt to edit that "config" to get rid of the .config extension
by reinstalling smapi did you want me to completely get rid of its files in the stardew folder or just do the uninstall in the windows installer smapi file ?

SMAPI strict mode prevents mods that have not been updated yet from working. Unfortunately, many popular mods have not been updated yet. Do not use strict mode
Also you have East Scarp in your mods folder twice
You still need to use the non-strict SMAPI, but even with non-strict you'll bug out there. Erase the 2.0 version since 2.2 is newer
not a really important question, especially since i’m just on my phone rn and not my laptop, but is it possible to have certain mods be applied to certain saves? like, for example, one save has the Seasonal Outfits mod and the other might just have a dialogue mod

hey ya'll, i was playing my game earlier today and it worked fine, but now it won't load at all!

i cant install smapi it confuses me, my partner said he will do it later when he is hoe from work
ive just checked i have the ErrorHandler mod ive had it since early august unless it dont work if Smapi isnt upto date?
currently nothing is loaded except the game and the somewhat old smapi. i think it's best to start installing the farm after smapi is updated and the ErrorHandler etc. are installed too (mods are loaded from D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods in this log for reference)
and smapi doesn't report anything being ignored so likely the Mods folder doesn't have anything else in it

i did download skins for ridgeside
i'd guess you're supposed to replace the original files in the corresponding RSV mods with those files (SMAPI ignores image files in general so it reports those folders as being empty)
if not, try removing and reinstalling the mods first i guess
are the assets within the asset folder supposed to be inside individual folders?
it's up to the individual mods how they decide to organize them
but often they are yeah
i downloaded SVE recently and there are some bushes and trees overlapping some areas, especially at ||emerald's farm|| . i am playing on an old file. is there a way to resolve this? i recall the author recommending reset terrain mod when playing on an old file, but that mod is no longer compatible
you can find an updated version of reset terrain features with smapi.io/mods probably (unless it broke again recently)

The love of cooking mod's food regen over time seems to be bugged .
It was working at first but suddenly it stopped regenerating stamina value when eating food . The total staminal stack keeps increasing but it never regenerated . Although the stacked HP value kept decreasing normally .
I couldn't find any smapi logs related to this bug and everything seemed to be loaded fine .

hello I just tried to update my smapi to the latest version but it says "access denied". The 3.16.2 smapi does work tho so I don't know why this one doesn't. I haven't had any problems before. Anyone know why this happens?

Your Project Yellog recolor mod's manifest failed, likely due to a missing comma. You can edit it yourself, but I'd report to mod author if reinstalling doesn't fix the issue.

If you're just going to reinstall, download the latest installer and just choose the "install" option. SMAPI should clean up after itself
