Okay so in general using HD Portraits will require a converter to convert from the PyTK portraits to HD Portraits

hi i would love some help figuring out if a mod broke my game or not or if i just fucked myself over
im a litle frantic and panicked right now because i think my save file ive had for almost 4 years/has over 200 hours in it is gone and im kind of freaking out
no! just updated and the issue wasnt going on all night until i closed and reopened my game for a second time
i have a save backup mod, and it had created duplicates on my load screen so i was going through and deleting some of the duplicate saves, and it somehow deleted my main save? even though they were on opposite ends of the screen. and the only saves that are loading arent even my saves, theyre my friends saves because we library share with each other, but its my own copy of stardew
and i have the save file in my save backups because of that mod, but my game isnt reading or recognizing any of the save folders/files
and i dont know if a mod is doing it, because i took all of my mods out and it still wasnt reading the saves
smapi makes save backups automatically
yeah and im trying to load up one of the save backups and theyre not showing up on my screen when i boot up the game
i even extracted the files from the smapi backup and replaced the files in my saves AND data folders (%appdata% and steamapps) but theyre not being recognized by my game

hm, do you have get glam installed? it used to show duplicate saves on the save screen but actually they were the same saves

i think fashion sense is usually used instead of get glam nowadays
i have both but ive always been scared to delete get glam lol
Get glam is likely the one causing the duplicate saves.

Hi~ it seems they're out of date for the smapi version you're on and the mod author will need to update them (or a unoffical update needs to be released)

Ah I figured it out, I was using the Strict Mode version of SMAPI.
That can be ignored, I need to clean out the mobile specific files.
but the mobile specific files had different requirements, which you also have installed, and won't need if you switch to the latest PC version
like PyTK, TMXL and Custom Music
iirc Custom NPC Fixes is no longer required either, unless you're using TMXL
looking at Mod Updater's page it pretty much doesn't work either

Hi pals, I dont know if thats the good place or not, but Im going to try.
Me and my pal played on modded Stardew for couple of days already and there was never any problem with connectivity, yet today I played one day without him and suddenly the game doesnt want us to play together - connection failed. We tried to connect by everything, codes, invites, join game via steam ui, restarted games, pcs, even our internets, everything. I tried to connect to his game, he tried to connect to mine, nothing worked. Could there be any issue with the servers or something? Or can we do anything to help it?
Our games are modded, but still there is no error info in smapi and we both had the same mods, so there should be (theoritically) no issue. Any help? we are going crazy atm :(

i see a million LoC errors. and the worst part is my inventory menu is not accessible at all in the game. no idea why! lots of IndexOutofRangeExceptions at the end

Either delete the folder from one of them, or rename the item in the files

If it doesn't work, back to the drawing board 
the game menu inventory will not come up. it shrinks the backpack inventory and moves like it's trying to bring up the menu but then it fails :< game is not really playable without that part

All I'm seeing there is Dynamic Game Assets 
I followed these directions and after it showed the notification in game that I got all my ahcievements again but it still isnt registering in steam. I've logged out of steam and logged back in and everything.
In steam it still says I only have 21 hours and 5% achivments but in game it says i have 85% achievements and 95 hours.
I can send screenshots if that helps

I never even used any mods. I just tried to edit my game file to go back a day in game. It didnt work and I undid the changes to the game file right away but since then my achievements and playtime in steam just dont register

I opened my game today and saw that I needed to update some mods so I went ahead and did it through nexus but when I tried to open the a new game or a save file it would crash so I went back to smapi 3.16.2 and it still crashed. Idk if this could help your crash problem but can you install better artisan good icon mod? You have the fix one but it needs better artisan good icon to work

I wanted to use the DGA versions of PPJA but they aren't getting loaded.
There are two lines in my log that might show the cause that issue, but that's just an estimated guess:

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).

i will just say that I don't know if that's causing your issue or not, but it's most likely not helping
Only Dapper has vortex, me and Cozy don't
backsearch some message and it's better to delete Custom Furniture mod. And also if you can, try to not use mods that need PyTK as much as you can
i can purge vortex and reapply mods to mods folder manually but i highly doubt vortex would have caused this, if it did then its on me
but if you guys don't want to delete PyTK mods, consider to update it as it gets official update in nexus. as for Looking for love problem, i haven't get any info on mod page so i hope someone else could help you guys

I've been trying to find videos or articles to learn how to convert my portrait mods without PtYK but I'm having the hardest time finding anything so I've been debating just sucking it up and downloading it
I want to pop back in to clarify that I never meant your issue was caused by vortex. But I would still recommend you use another mod manager (Stardrop) or install manually, since Vortex has a lot of issues on its own
You can use HD Portraits. From what I've heard, it's easy to convert to though I've never tried

because I cook, but there is no exp bar or anything like the other skills
maybe reinstall or maybe it's conflicting with something? the experience bar shows up with no problem for me
You get XP by cooking. If you don't care to level the skill normally, once you have a lot of money you can just mass cook bread to 10
(It's what I did)

howdy, im running into some trouble with a custom npc
i was testing it out on my multiplayer save, but theyre not interactable nor do they follow their scheduled path
but when i tested it out on a new file, she seems to be working just fine
when i checked the files and crossreferenced with a modding guide for npcs, everything seems to be done properly, so im not sure whats going on
there doesnt seem to be any errors on smapi either so yeah

Doesn't matter the NPC, if you have a room then almost universally they'll have a two-heart room restriction
The screenshot could be from the two heart event, or after they got two hearts with sebastian. It could even be that they no-clipped through the wall to him

ironically it looks like theyre updating the mod or responding to anything on it anymore since the comments are locked. guess were just gonna have to start on a new farm so the mod works properly

LOL, yes I found the mod stressful too though I do want to try it again. You can try like shutting off water first (change to false). If that doesn't help, you can fiddle with this setting: MaximumTax: No matter how high your tax bracket becomes, you will never be taxed more than this. Defaults to .7, or 70%.
It is a fun mod to add and it adds more factors to the game. I want to have more realistic playthrough after my first farm. I was just shocked that 70% is the taxes, I was thinking about 30-35% are taxes HAHA

Remove all DGA mods, check if error is fixed. If so, add DGA mods back in 1 at a time until the one that is causing the error is isolated.
I have an idea of which one it might be as one of them just got updated and the errors were not there before that update. I reported to the mod maker and am going to try going back to the previous version to see if I am right.

The mod in question is the greenhouse furniture mod from StarAmy. Several of the items in it are now throwing the DGA errors and 2 of the new items(the hatcherys) are invisible everywhere, inventory, catalogue or placed. I have reported it on her page for the mod.

Yeah then you've got a case of the load times problem. As I expected to find looking at your log, you have PyTK and no SpriteMaster
But I do remember loading even more add-ons on older versions of Stardew Valley
PyTK used to be good but is now very old and as you can see in the log you enable compatibility mode which disables some load optimizations when it's on

On older or weaker computers this can make load times skyrocket if you only have PyTK on
So you have two solutions
#1: Yeet PyTK. I'd have to relook at it to see how much is dependent on PyTK for that to happen
But let's assume you need it for lots of stuff
I'm in that boat myself. I have a lot of mods depending on PYTK and no idea what spritemaster is plus an older computer.
#2: Install SpriteMaster and, if you hate the smoothing effect, disable resampling

SpriteMaster cuts down on load times significantly
Without PyTK it makes mod loading a breeze. With PyTK it balances it out to, y'know, normal loading times
Again, however, please note that it comes with a setting that smooths out graphics and that may not be your speed - it is not my speed personally, so I simply uncheck the resampling box and everything looks normal, and I get the load time improvements

But a fair few go "ew I hate the graphics change" for whatever reason, so we always have to disclaimer about the way to undo the graphics changes. For the record, there are ways to customize the effect and Ameise (the creator) has worked hard on those as well, so do give them a try if you feel so inclined
Does it change the sprites in a way that would stop other mods that do so from changing them? I have so many of those.

All scheduling is done overnight
But the game keeps track of every npc no matter where you are

Okay, so I erased the clock part of Overgrown Flowery's clock and calender, but now I've got no clock at all. I have the clock hand, and in fact that overwrote OFI's clock hand sprite just with the false dependency.

Sounds like you have some general PC issues and you didn’t test enough to be able to tell it’s UI Info Suite being the cause, or even SMAPI or Stardew

Honestly this means nothing - if I drop a phone, it’s gonna be dead no matter how old it is. Also, a RAM stick could have been damaged since the very beginning, but you just never hit that part of memory in that way until today

Enter the hosts local IP address. You can find out your phone's IP address in your phone's settings, under About phone or Status. You might have to search a bit, every Android phone is different. Mine for example is 192.168.2.102, so that's what I enter:

Give the log, but that just sounds like your SVE content file isn't found and you should reinstall the main SVE file

Portraiture isn't going to change the portrait for the npc if you don't have any portraits for them inside of Portraiture

The image needs to be named after the npc themselves, so the ones just called portrait ain't going to do much

Plat had it laid out like this on the mod page;
- Create a folder in "Mods/Portraiture/Portraits" that you name however you like, for ex. "DCBurger Hi-Res" and extract the portrait files inside it. (If done correctly the file for Abigail would be located at "/Mods/Portraiture/Portraits/DCBurger Hi-Res/Abigail.png")

First up, just based off your log, if you mean do the RSV people have schedules that go into Pelican Town, yes
Second, your initial errors is a PPJA misinstall, as you have several duplicate folders
Some are in [MFM] Fresh Meat, some are in [PPJA] Fresh Meat/[MFM] Fresh Meat, etc.

third, Champagne wishes has some bad translation jsons - I wouldn't use them personally since for some reason they released like that (any modder should probably see something that loads before the load button is hit)

go up to the mods folder
you'll have literal duplicates in the mods folder of what's in your PPJA folder

Your yellog stuff is missing a desert file, but I don't think that's in the yellog that's compat
i searched the folders and installed older and stuff but couldn't find desert file anywhere
Might just be updated yellog versus unupdated tilesheets

because at least to my EXTREMELY limited knowledge of understanding. I think the game is saying that the expected value for the tool is coming up as null. so it can't find it?
so something, somewhere, is targeting the tool in an unexpected way so the game has no idea what to do

ErrorHandler was removed by mistake as it was one of the 4 mods I added before erroring
Uuuh i think you should put the errorhandler mod back cause some error only be shown from smapi after errorhamdler is loaded. Just like the first log you sent
its named in the errors you’re getting
so take it out. also add in error handler again
