hmm. if the magic mod is messed upā¦. honestly iād delete it, run the game so it cleans out magic skill, then reinstall it again. you can debug your skills back to where they were but thats all i can think of doing qq
i know my high level luck skill bugged out with 5.1.5 for some reason so i had to like clear it out entirely
and then reinstall it with 5.1.4. but i am not sure about magic
It appears to be an inability to get a thing.
Maybe if the magic skill from the mod saved the professions list as a variable and returned that, instead of returning a new list every time?

And when I start it with SMAPI then I can't select co-op at all.

hi, i used to play stardew with smapi a lot, but i hadnt connected it to steam. so on my steam profile i do not have all the achievements i wouldve gotten if i played on steam. is there any way to unlock these achievements without starting a new farm and doing it again? i now have my smapi connected with steam btw

i have a weird problem where my clothing mod, which adds extra clothing randomly comes up as different pixels and when i restart the game sometimes goes back to normal and then sometimes only some go back to normal then some remain weird/glitched and it changes everytime i start the game

Does anyone have experience with manually installing SMAPI? I want to play the randomizer mod which only works with 1.5.4. However I can't use the auto install for smapi because it says that the game is 1.5.4 or earlier. And when I tried to manually add in the files from the older version of smapi, specifically 3.14.6, it just doesn't launch. All I really want is to shake up the game the way that this More Random Edition of the randomizer mod does. Assistance would be appreciated.
Hello! I'm getting a common json asset injecting error when logging into local co-op, and was told atravita had cooked up an updated mod to fix it.
3.14.6 is way too new to use with Stardew 1.5.4

I can go lower, I just chose that because it was around the last time that the randomizer itself worked was around May of this year. It also hadn't been updated since January of this year. I chose 3.14.6 because that was around that time the game was still in 1.5.4. But the issues I run into are two-fold, if I do the auto install, it says that the game is 1.5.4 or earlier and won't install. And if I follow the manual install, it just won't launch. So I feel like I'm missing a step or something
3.14 definitely requires Stardew 1.5.6
can you post a photo of what your clothes look like when it happens? it sounds like the thing that happens with my clothes sometimes (and if so, it's probably related to json shuffle, but it would help to have a visual)

likely when Daisy went to do her most recent update, saw that they were hidden, knew she couldn't do her update and still include yellog, and decided to remove? (she also removed support for foliage redone finally so that leads me to suspect it was tied to the update)
It's fixed in the latest experimental build

Nope. Just pick one. Either download from smapi.io or nexus
The one from nexus is latest version 3.17.1 while on smapi.io is 3.16.2 (i'd say stable version)
I downloaded smapi but whenever I try to download a mod from nexus or mod drop it does nothing

There is a Unix executable file you can launch, but it's kind of annoying to find in the game folder and there's two that are almost identical

That particular mod is a file replacer.
To use it, you'll have to replace the files in the game files with the exact pngs or convert the mod to a content patcher mod.
I don't personally touch the content folder without good reason so I'd advise the latter.

Correct. you'll have to put those in the Content folder, replacing the Abigail pngs there. If, as I suspect, there's XNBs in there, that is an incomplete mod and you'll have to write a basic Content Patcher mod to put those in.

you also have a few outdated mods
your version of PyTK is outdated, and so is Custom Furniture and Health Bars
they aren't tho, the newest version of custom furniture is 0.12.0

I don't think you'd hit any errors because SVE isn't loading in the first place, but best to just keep things clean and neat

you can download mod using vortex feature in stradrop, just connect starrop using Nexus API. the cons is you got no zip file as backup as stardrop will auto install the mod to Mods folder

For you acorn you need to run SMAPI's installer in the extracted SMAPI folder
so extract smapi, then go into the new folder and click "install on windows"
It will come up with a command prompt - yes, a command prompt, don't be scared. Just hit 1, then enter, then 1, then enter
(Since you have on Steam, it should auto-detect the filepath)
Let me know when that part is done and we can do the final steps.

Once you've edited the launch options, you can play right from Steam

If you set the launch options, Stardew will always launch modded.
If you're already in game, you have to exit
probably that mod has two versions the English one is essentially maybe the same thing except translated?
if you don't, but you add it as a non-Steam game, you can always click play on modded or click play on Stardew Valley to launch vanilla
If it launched in vanilla, it won't swap to the modded version automatically since it's basically two separate programs.
If you double click StardewModdingAPI from the local files, it will launch modded, but you will have to go to your local files to launch it every time until you do one of the first two things
But since you changed your launch options, once you exit your current game and restart from Steam, it should be the mod version
Alrighty also 1 more question I think, do I have to make a whole new game play now that I have the mod or would it be in the game regardless of if I continued a previous game play
So... tricksy question. You can continue a previous one, and with your Sebastian mod I believe it's all Content Patcher so since it's just dialogues you should be fine.
Would it be better to start new? I don't mind i wasn't that far in the game either way
Normally, however, mods applied to a save will then always be on that save and then will deny you the ability to launch the save in vanilla
Depends on what mods you use. If mods added new character for example, best start new game. If only cosmetic or retexture, you can continue a save file

Technically, Yandere Sebastian is just cosmetic, because dialogue. But advice is to start a new game, especially if new.

PyTK is an older mod that SMAPI generally has to force compatibility mode for. This means any loading improvements are out the window there. Compound that with your older computer and no SpriteMaster (a performance improving mod) and your load times are likely going to be very long
Some people wait 20 minutes for load.

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance.
First, install that, and disable resampling in Generic Mod Config Menu if you don't want the smoothing effect

Honestly, delete any mods in red. Keep deleted any that SMAPI says are not a SMAPI mod.
Reinstall ones that say "no manifest.json"

When you say you completely installed a new Stardew, does that mean you've played and modded before, or you're new to it?
Yeah as long as you have the red in your log and as bad as it is, you are unable to do much. And you have at least 30 mods which are problematic, and that's being nice since your SMAPI has 73 errors

Several of those are popular from all time and are outdated
They have so many downloads and endorsements because they were posted years ago, lots of time for people to use them before 1.4 and 1.5 came out and broke stuff.

And if you're new to modding, it's not a good idea to get a ton of mods right away.
I would love to help but I literally, physically cannot, nor do I have the time to troubleshoot 30-40 completely broken mods. Start with the steps I outlined above, then move forward with asking "is there an unofficial/updated version of XYZ?"
you should also pay attention to when the last update was
if it's too long ago, they will likely be outdated

Don't delete the entire folder; there's a few in there that are necessary for SMAPI. Just the red ones.

they just haven't received updates for the latest game version then. they might have unofficial updates
yes bus locations, for example, has the unofficial updates... i got those too
not sure what you mean by unofficial update for BusLocations? it was updated earlier this summer....
