Okay I tried the commands(the randomize one) for A&S but Smapi tells me the command is wrong even though I typed what was on the Nexus page for the mod.
And it's weird this issue only affected the barn and coop animals, the rest are fine.
I just realized I might not have the debug stuff for the mod turned on, will have to check after I finish eating dinner.
wow i really am in the same situation I was earlier this year, trying to remember the mod I found/used that lets you craft better sprinklers with lower level ones, better bombs with lower level ones, and do more bar transmutations, including to and from prism shards and iridium.
time to search through old mod collections

I was right, I needed to turn on debug for the mod first. Everything is fixed now. I don't think I'm going back to AT though although I will miss the fancy TV and the presents I wanted for under the tree. Wish I could get those for CF.

other than that, you have multiple copies of marriage dialogue, 7 hats is an empty folder, and the tailor mouse is missing mail framework
(7 Hats in an Empty Folder should be a band name)

cleaned up everything, apparently what happened is that the creator of the mod of Kawaii Hats Revamped .json file labeled it as Puppy Ears, one of their other mods. so it went by the json name within the errors rather than the actual name x'3. also fixed all my errors incase anyone was worried lmfao
If the amount of mods used is relatively small, easy to teach people how to read log

okay, but even large logs may have fairly few errors that can be easily fixed

since it would only change your game, it might be okay, but usually we say have the other person get the same mods too. and make a backup of your save incase it goes downhill

Do you want sve on the multiplayer saves or not? If not just make a singleplayer save for SVE purpose only. And also mod that change interface is safe to say to be used in multiplayer as long as it doesn't change the layout of the map and only the player that use the mod can see the change.
but it load the smapi too for singleplayer and multiplayer, and I dont want to change my multiplayer to SVE... isnt that the problem?

Well its pretty simple, FarmTypeManager.LargeResourceClump was not expected. that seems to be the start of all of this and the files it is a part of have saving issues becasue it is not the right type of file or so windows says, Use the XmlInclude or SoapInclude attribute to specify types that are not known statically. this is what it says to fix it so I may have to code something, something I do not know how to do
after that main error it quotes where all those issues are coming from
if I find what mod, or pack that has those all I should have to do is delete it if it is not an important mod

I edited the save file by changing the farm map from the forest map (which was replaced by a mod) to the vanilla hilltop map.

you have a farm replacement mod that changed one of the maps, then you changed the forest to the hilltop?
Sorry, I had a tiny farm mod and it's configured to take the place of the forest farm.

At the very base, they edited their save file to another farm. I'm guessing the confusing part is that they said they were using a custom farm map and the way they worded it
yeah, what i interpreted was a farm mod changed the forest map, then they changed the edited forest to the vanilla hilltop

I have Walk of Life, got Fishing from 9 to 10 during Night Market, choose Luremaster profession.
Next day during Night Market I ate Dish O' the Sea which took my skill to 13
I can only catch base quality fishes, even with perfect catch.
Can I somehow debug log my actual fishing level or some other details why it happens?
EDIT During the first day of Night market (with 9 Fishing + 3 from Dish O' the sea) I only caught fishes ranging in quality form Silver to Gold
Console shows my fishing level should be fine: [Walk Of Life - Immersive Professions] Fishing level: 10 (15000 exp)
tried this and it says that the command wasn't recognized.
I think fish quality is based on how far the tiles you're fishing in are from ground

which mods can or can't be added into a running game?
A mod that change how the game look (like recolor things) or change the ui looks safe to be added for an already running saves. But for a mod like Stardew Valley expanded, the description said a new save file is required. Some mod creator state in the description so always read description before trying to install any mod
Also better ask in #modded-stardew about mods. Here is for troubleshooting sone error

I did just notice when I save the updated json file it now changes it when you reopen it into format like this. I assume that would be causing red screen smapi. But i got no idea why its doing that then
when i open config.json, there's already shipping bin line right below MachineOverrides. you can change that true into false. i open the original config.json
When I open mine off a fresh download and launch of the mod mine doesn't come up with shipping bins at all its just blank for the machine overrides like I posted here

looking at the log it looks like a lot of map errors. So probably the modmaker needs to go into tiled and change some file paths for the tilesheets.
Could the name of the tilesheet path a reason of the error?

honestly - CCC works for me. I also forgot to tell you the workaround - start the save with the minimum number of mods needed to start (ie, your farm map + any dependencies for that), then add in the other mods day2

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance.
download that, disable resampling if you don't want the smoothing effect

Technically the resampling makes it load even faster, but then you get the smoothing effect. (Even with none on both of the resampler thingies - apparently that's still done under-the-hood.)

As East Scarp on its own is somewhat small.
A lot of those characters are currently in beta or something like it on ES's discord
There's also several one-off NPCs but some of those might need PyTK
And do not download PyTK with your mod load speed issue - it slows loading times nowadays, so it's the opposite of SpriteMaster

So on only one of my saves, all monsters do only one damage. I've unloaded and reloaded all my mods, 15 at a time to try to isolate what it is but couldn't find anything and there shouldn't be any mods that change monster damage. Anyone know how I can find out whats changing this one profile ?

Well it's from Nexus. I did just do a save edit test and changed Henry's name to what we ACTUALLY call him (HENYA!), and the error went away!

I'm having an issue where when a dinosaur egg hatched the game basically locked up. Looking at the logs, BFAV crashed because it couldn't find an asset, but the asset is there. I'm not sure how to fix this short of removing the mod entirely and I'd rather not do that. Any suggestions?

I have the Diverse Stardew Valley packs installed and the mermaid pendant overlay isn't appearing for my spouse
I don't know why but for some reason my coop and barn's animals skins(from A&S) keep resetting to vanilla each time I load the game and at the start of each in game day. It started doing this after I installed AT and is still doing it even though I removed that mod. Can anyone help me figure out why this is happening and fix it? I want my animals to keep their looks and not have to rerandomize them every in game day and time I load the game. The horse and pets are fine it is only the coop and barn animals affected. Note that some textures were changed recently on the tilesheets so you if you're using the ridges on WaFFLE they will look weird. This will be corrected in v5.0.0 of Waterfall Forest.

When playing the soundtrack called "null", the game softlocks and fills the SMAPI console with errors, leaving me no choice but to force quit the game. I believe the soundtrack was originally from a mod I had previously installed that came with its own music, but I later uninstalled that mod

Okay, so the mod suppresses that unknown music cue, preventing the softlock
But I was wondering if it was possible to remove the music cue altogether since it's broken due to it being part of a mod that I uninstalled
@dusty totem @scarlet quail The mermaid pendants only show up when indoors in spring, summer, and fall because otherwise we would've needed like 50 different files so that it'd look right against the different outfits 😅 Just imagine that if you can't see the pendant, your spouse is wearing it under their shirt

I recently created a new folder for a different set of mods. I've downloaded all the ones I need and after doing a quick test, they seem to be working fine. However, I've noticed that unlike the other sets of mods I've set up in past, the mods folder I've created is missing the ErrorHandler, SaveBackup and ConsoleCommands folders. Is this normal?
yeah, they won't be there unless you copy them over
you might accidentally delete those. those come with SMAPI installation

I've never seen Steam do that before either but it would explain having not seen it with SDV . I can try.

what is the correct way to update mods ?
Delete the old mod, place new mod into mods folder. Only thing you should really keep from the old one is maybe the config, or any edits you've done

If you go into the settings in GMCM Better Chests and scroll down, you'll see the options for Mini-fridge and stuff

hi! I'm playing a pretty heavily modded world with two friends, and yesterday we started having an issue when one of them would go to decorate their house. Once the day ended, it would essentially crash trying to roll the day over. I've updated all mods and made sure we had pretty much all the same mods minus a few smaller ones. Are you sure you have the same custom furniture mods
Yeah, we have all the same furniture mods, afaik, just different clothes mods
Your friend don't have one of custom furniture mod, DTANaDaWTNaRW mod
Your friend log doesn't throw any error, so the crash might be from you that has a lot of error about custom furniture

Try reinstalling ui info suite 2 too. The first error occur is that mod error
TY so much, I literally don't remember installing it. UI suite hasn't been working since I 'updated' it like smapi was telling me too and I've already redownloaded it like three times
To update mod, it' better to delete the mod then add the new one rather than overwrites it
Hey all, I updated some mods using Vortex and now my game crashes while loading. I get all the way into the black loading screen after clicking the file and then it crashes. Vortex then says "failed to run tool" and gives me an error log. Not sure what I did, but deleting the start up preferences didnt solve the issue like it has in the past

Latest version of vortex? Some people have problem with vortex lately. A lot of people (including me) refommend using stardrop mod manager. So consider to change the mod manager

The newest log said you installed the 2.2.5 version. But the error it gives is the same as th log you send before (2.2.6 version). I'm afraid i don't have the solution for you. Please wait for someone else that has more knowledge than me to help you

Hello. If anyone can help me, I have stardew valley downloaded on my Mac and I downloaded the expansion mod (and all mods it needs to run) but when I open the game, SMAPI loads and gives me an error that says zip error: nothing to do! and the mods i've downloaded don't appear in the game

i deleted the game and redownloaded it the first time it didn't work and when i followed the mods go here: link to a folder it took me to a different mods folder than the original one they were in. 🤦🏼♀️ it's working now. thank you both still haha

PyTK will slow you down. So will large expansion mods. However, in theory, SpriteMaster can offset the slowdowns to a large degree

Mods reordered the tilesheets
so what appears to have happened with the greenhouse is a reordered tileset thingy. That can happen via Vortex or something usually, but it might also be mod person error
surprisingly, your SMAPI actually managed to fix that error
normally when I see that it's red and it goes "nope, can't do this"
I've never used Vortex for SDV since I know it can be wonky with updating mods
(I’ve seen that as a warning plenty of times with SMAPI, more often than red—and it is usually a mod author error)

So, having a sudden issue: SMAPI was literally working fine earlier today and running smoothly, but it started to get a bit choppy so I restarted my computer. But now it's running unbearably slow. Opening SMAPI to it starting up Stardew took literally 30 minutes, and then when it finally did it got stuck loading the game
This just happened today, I've tried messing with the priority, I didn't install any new mods from when it was working to when it stopped working. Not really sure what to do :/

Hello, I've been using the PPJA collection (fruits, meats, artisan valley, mizo's flowers, etc), and SMAPI keeps telling me I need to update a few of them, but when I go to the Nexus page, it tells me I've downloaded the most recently uploaded version. Smapi.io doesn't have them on the compatibility page so i can't find a different mirror (unless I'm just somehow missing them?); if there's anyone who's proficient or involved in these, can I get pointed in the right direction? I have PPJA (JA versions) and they are up to date so I think you may have downloaded the wrong ones? If you downloaded the PPJA Megapack for example those might be out of date. You should generally download them individually as they are more up to date. Also make sure to download the JA (json assets) versions, not the DGA ones. It looks like you've done that for the most part but Artisan Valley looks to be the DGA version

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).
