i fixed it :D i downloaded a retexture pack for PPJA's More Trees and it seems to be broken i guess, trees have been restored!
I have a problem with immersive festival dialogue mod. my spouse's dialogue won't work (goes to vanilla) but all the others continue to work fine
anyone else have this?

Alright, so what it looks like is your initial impression is correct, with a few notes. Since Relationship:Married is not included, it will default to vanilla dialogue

First, in the "Target" field, add .xnb to the end of the target. I think it would work without it, but I'm comparing with True Love Valley, which I edited over the weekend, and that has xnb in it, so that might solve part of it

The "More Food" one is in one of the PPJA ones, Kylie. I don't use it, but the log indicates you're missing (paradigmnomad.morefood), and paradigmnomad is the mod creator of PPJA
so it's in one of your PPJA mods that you'll need to reinstall

The way dialogue mods work is that they all generally either add or overwrite certain dialogues, and last one wins
You have at least three, and two I know for a fact have festival dialogues - mainly because one of them, to my hilarious surprise, is true love valley, the one I spent the weekend recoding

So, here's how your Sebastian festival dialogue works!
It loads Immersive Festival Dialogue, which attempts to key Sebastian's initial dialogues. I'm not certain how Sebastian Expansion works, but I'm guessing it then already overwrites that or something similar

Here's what I'd do. Clear out at least the four I mentioned (Immersive Festival Dialogue, Sebastian Expansion, True Love Valley, and The Only One for Me), then reinstall Immersive Festival Dialogue, change the relationship key to "married" on one of them, and test it out
If it works, one of your dialogue mods is overwriting the others at the festival

Sorry, my recodes are for personal use
Mainly because the recodes are meant for A) Abigail and Leah so their spouse dialogues are correctly done at festivals with Free Love and B) you can edit it yourself fairly easily

True Love Valley's festival dialogues are a bit off because they only occur under non-marriage conditions
i remove the mods once all the lines are used up
i.e. it only edits "Abigail", never "Abigail_spouse"

So a simple thing to do for true love valley is to copy the same dialogue and put it under "Abigail_spouse", and it works... until you get into free love, because then if Abigail's not the main spouse, she doesn't get the dialogue
my whole set is personal recodes, but i admit i leave mods in there and neglect to take them out
im not using fre love mod myself so that should not be a problem
So I had to then recode conditions so that the dialogues would work if she was relationship married rather than just "spouse"
And more importantly, the game goes under at least two separate documents for festival dialogue
so, I ended up doubling the documents, duplicating the code with several relationship Marrieds, and adding a line or so of dialogue to differentiate the stuff so it worked. It sucked XD but worked!
i moved a few things over to only one for me because that became my go-to to edit all sebastian's dialogue on its own rather than go through several other mods to do it
it sounds like whatever you are doing is on a whole other level xD

Even if it is damage you could just get new copies so those mods. Also maybe just go back a day or so to B4 the problem showed up

Your log doesn't mention a crash of the game. Did it say anything in the SMAPI console when the game crashed?

A Json Shuffle is when your Json Assets items rearrange their numerical IDs or different players have different numerical IDs assigned to the same object. See here for details: https://stardewmodding.miraheze.org/wiki/Json_Shuffle.
Anytime you change your JA mods you can risk a shuffle. In multiplayer, you need to have exactly the same mods in exactly the same order as your friends.
Anytime you have a shuffle and then solve it, old objects may remain affected but new ones should be fine. You can sell or trash the old items, and spawn in new ones if needed with CJB item spawner.

Apparently someone who had PPJA mods but no one else did got kicked and I think it might have somehow jsonshuffled their CC or osmething

ok it seems to be some sort of save issue. i moved all mods out except for error handler and it still crashes

even though the game is messed up with bundles i'd reccomend backing up your save before trying this and then put
debug shufflebundles
into the console window that opens alongside your game when you launch modded SDV after everything's loaded in the save
and see if that fixes it
you probably also need to be the host to do, but i assume you are the host of this farm

oh the thing with the smapi log parser is that it only takes from the most recent launch by default, so try to see if you can cause those errors again and then share that log?

also downloading error handler (reinstalling smsapi) can be helpful, it can mitigate errors in the game that might otherwise crash your game on its own

Rename the bed to farmhouse_tiles after choosing which version you want (3 versions to choose from blue, purple and red) then place the farmhouse_tiles.xnb in the assigned folders, into your Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Content and Maps folder.

A lot of what you just stated is not only an XNB mod but really old too
I wouldn't. I would just look for a content patcher version of your mod

this mod can help you change configs for all mods that allow it (in general) on the main menu and in game so i'd recommend using it to see if there's an option, otherwise its just a feature of the pack you have

The only place SM would ever be anywhere near the top is during warps or day ends where it forces GC. That shouldn't be perceived as "lag".
Profiler cannot meaningfully profile SM because SM doesn't really use events
Both NPCMapLocations and LoveOfCooking are taking more than one frame
needs to check that SM's patch for that is still working
GameLoop.DayStarted gets called once per day at the start of the day
NPCMapLocations and LoveOfCooking are the only ones that stand out.

Hi there! When I try to download a mod from Nexus it tells me I must first have SMAPI installed. Which I do. I have restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled.
Any clues on what the issue is?

Pretty much no fix for it yeah, you kind have to do every item one by one and pick up every machine and then sleep
Those work for multiplayer
Some stuff will be for the main player only
and the farmhands (The other players) will be able to walk around during cutscenes and cause problems
so if you are safe and careful and okay with some weird visual stuff you will be fine
No mod breaks with multiplayer
Some just look weird
Isn't this also true with the base game? Pretty sure I saw my co-op partner round around in one of my cutscenes.
You will run into quests that only the main player can complete, stuff like that

I have put XNB files in my mod folder, but that usually does nothing.
By accident of course.
I wouldn't use XNB mods because they're a pain.
If you loaded in a save with those in there that could be the cause of the shuffel
content patcher mod using Load with an outdated asset is pretty much the same as replacing the xnb in the game files

shuffle is mainly caused by other Json Assets mods, though it could be caused by an xnb or CP mod as well

hm, to clarify the problem, do the tea leaves and such exist in the game at all?
In my experience the shuffle happens most when harvesting a plant, or removing a product from a producing machine. It usually doesn’t persist, meaning that after removing, for example, a lemonade from an oil machine, the next time a truffle is put it in will produce oil correctly. To be safe, I usually pick up the machine, save. Close the game. Reopen it and place the machine back down. If the problem is happening with a crop like tea, I tend to just replant.
I’m not sure what Vibel would be looking at specifically in the log. But for what I would be looking at any log in which you’ve experienced a shuffle would give a list of mods to poke and prod at. Vibel is definitely the authority on this stuff imho so I would refer to them although I am happy to try and help. I find that too many people helping can sometimes be confusing so I apologize if I’ve brought any undue confusion.

JA shuffle is JA items only
If it is a persistent problem I would lean towards something other than the shuffle. But a picture of both items alongside the regular un-tainted leaves would help.

Never heard of this one before. Do you have any mods that change the inventory? Which teleport mods? Linking a log is always a good place to start when asking for help here.

No other mods that changes inventory I will try reinstalling the game agn etc. For teleport mods i tried the fast travel and map teleport. It works for my friend but not for me. Will try all these steps and upload the log if the problem persists.

How can I do that? I'm worried if I open anything while SMAPI is running, it will just crash. I've had this happen before when I opened my browser by accident.
Step 1) wait for the game to load, get to where you are walking around, walk outside, look at the grass, ponder who you’re going to marry
Step 2) type right in the smapi log the two sets of code above

That blinking white rectangle in the smapi log, click on it, and type:
patch export Data/ObjectInformation
patch export Maps/springobjects
Then go to your patch export folder right alongside the mods folder in your SDV directory and behold! Magic! The data required to solve the issue.

I have been thinking about it and I see what you are are saying... perhaps it is an artifact of using profiler in part, since it does start "profiling" on startup and again at days end which is when the game gets closed down to pull the log & look at what profiler has tabulated, But there is extra time spent on those occasions... warping and days end and whatnot that is noticeable

I have no clue how these shuffles work, I don't think a JSON shuffle would completely remove items. Or cause them to be classed as error items. If it's caused by adding and removing JA mods then why does the issue pop up in fresh, unaltered saves?
Nope. I still have missing items and it's a fresh save. The items that are missing are vanilla items too!

Doesn’t usually cause lag while in the game, the startup stuff is mostly a million patches fighting
If lag in the game it’s because SMAPI is disabling performance improvements
But that’s not something pytk is doing, it’s more something it’s not—it would break if SMAPI put those in so SMAPI is holding off for now

hello, for the past few months after i downloaded the game into 1.5.6 strangely i cannot seem to play or load the game at all even after updating most of my major mods like smapi, cp, PYTK, TMXL and custom furniture altho my problems mostly lie on the PYTK part in my log, i was wondering if i could ask help on what exactly is wrong because im getting quite annoyed not playing the game at all

Implemented in version 1.5.5, MonoGame is the latest framework that Stardew uses, and was implemented to solve problems such as Memory limits and audio issues. Unfortunately, MonoGame has a bug which affects random computers, not allowing them to launch Stardew. This bugs randomly targets computers, regardless of your operating system or hardware and is out of ConcernedApe's control. There is currently no known fix. See !legacy or !legacymodding for how to get your game to work.

I noted that and that it was perhaps an artifact of the way Profiler works, but that is a hang at daystart, I have often scrolled over to console view wondering what gives & all I see is Spritemater.

If it weren't doing that at day start, it would be happening during gameplay. It's triggering GC.

@lavish marlin well I restarted a new game, and Custom Community Center is working now, buuuuut nooooow NPC Adventures isn't working. I didn't have all these weird errors until I downloaded Sprite Master. NPC Adventures and Custom Community were working before I downloaded Sprite Master. Now they're bugging out.
Well, it's not SM doing it :/
BUT these errors were not happening UNTIL I added SM to my game
And I keep starting NEW GAMES
And I keep getting these weird errors

I pulled that Deng Deng's Crop mod out. I'm not running it anymore, and it was before i downloaded sprite master. I downloaded SM after removing Deng Deng's crops.

Look I will say this. SpriteMaster, from what I have heard is really good. If I didn’t think it is a good mod from what I have heard and seen, I wouldn’t download it. I see you have a lot of pride in the mod, you should. I do think it is a good mod, I’m just having my own bad personal experience with it at the moment.
I'm just saying that SM has literally zero interactions with NPC Adventures

It should. Maybe and I’m just spit balling here… the faster load time has to be causing some errors
If there's something going on, it's incidental, usually the additional pressure from SM causing something else to fail
either from bad memory (memory that wasn't getting used before now is), something getting garbage collected and a mod wasn't doing something right but it was 'OK' before, or something like that
(though NPC Adventures doesn't appear to have any weak references)

Don’t have the log available since I’m doing the MemTest. Again, have to wait. I know you want to help out. A 30 min break will be great for both of us while I wait for the memtest (And if it does turn out I have bad Ram, I will be giving you an apology… and yes I will be embarrassed about it and will want to get through it as fast as possible.)
more than likely you have some weird combination of mods or configs that fails under unusual conditions
(and you have PyTK which often causes issues on its own)

Update on the mem test. It has detected hardware issues, this wasn’t the case three days ago. All I can say is, it detected hardware issues this time around.
so im having a small issue with ppja farmer to florist. nearly every day, i have the same letter from the florists association thanking me for my commitment. started spring 1 of year 1, has continued through to fall of year 1. its not a gamebreaking thing or anything, but its definitely annoying to think i have mail and it just ends up being that again.

(I'd be surprised if RAM was actually causing it but you should certainly fix it)
Memory allocations are effectively random when hidden behind block allocators, page allocators, and such
So any bad RAM can cause weirdness

The host wouldn't be doing anything and your GF could probably play that way
But AFAIK there isn't a way to swap her to host, but others can correct me if I'm misinformed
We can also try this one. I try to change the save file and swap out characters but the game still loads my character as the player 1 without issues 😛
okay so i just created a new save with the same map and idk why i can't see the rain puddles on my main farm i'm using all the same mods and i didn't change anything so idk what is causing this issue? (dynamic reflections is the mod) i already tried redownloading it and it didn't fix the issue
I'm not sure for this mod but at the title screen, bottom left the settings button, click that and there should be your mods there then you click on your dynamic reflec mod and turn on or turn off some stuff
BUT I'm not sure if it's like this for dynamic reflec mod,
I think the R key configures dynamic reflections
Also this is what I do on mobile so idk if it's any different on pc

SpriteMaster (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4922) is a mod that resamples the game's graphics to be smoother and improves performance.
PyTK is somewhat less maintained these days, and in particular depends on some SMAPI features that are going to go away soon
Those SMAPI features impact performance, which why they are going away
Be sure to disable resampling if you don't want the smoothing effect from SpriteMaster but DO want the performance improvements

That's the thing. Way I see it, there's no way to disable the mods without refusing their connection. They'll probably get annoyed, go "WTF WHY CAN'T I CONNECT", then a whole argument will break out over the cheats
Instead of going the passive aggressive route of just enabling the Anti-Cheat server, just get the argument out of the way and deal with it that way. Or maybe everything will go swimmingly and they'll go "Okay, I'll remove it" and there's no need to go around their backs about it

Hi, I'm back to the game after being gone a long while. I am using PPJA-Farmer to Florist but am having an issue with the mail in it. I get the letters but no attachments or recipes from them. I tried the mod page(no where to post a bug or question) and the modding discusion page(it looks like it hasn't been responded to in a long time). Does anyone here know anything about this mod?

The latest released version of PPJA (Project Populate Json Assets, a popular mod) is a conversion from JA to DGA, but it has some bugs in it, and the mod author has retired. Sticking with the older JA version is probably your best option.
You can download the JA version from the Old Files section on Nexus, or by downloading the latest versions of the standalone components instead of the megapack (except for Farmer to Florist, where you would need to look under Old Files in the standalone version).
I have both JA and DGA installed, is that okay? And I will see about switching to the JA version. Will that cause any issues in my save game? Other than I guess I might not have the recipes from the letters I've all ready gotten.
It...shouldn't, but unlike most modders in here I don't use PPJA so I don't know for certain, but I know that's the common issue.

Ah. Well, good news for you is that Better Chests is configurable, so you can literally have it as just vanilla or add in stuff. If it's too much, you can change it later
To be honest, I've never used any mods for any game yet except translation mods haha
Personally, I use it. I don't increase chest sizes or labels or anything, with two exceptions - unlimited shipping bin since it already technically was, and I made the mini-shipping bin slightly less mini (12 spots, not 9)
I do use the find thing because searching through a bunch of chests is a little ridiculous and you can't tell me that's "part of the game's charm" to search through 50 chests
That's good to know. I'll go with that. I've selected 3 mods now. Lookup anything, NPC map locations, and better chests. Chest multitasking was something I missed in my normal playthrough.
You would need to delete any items you have from the mod, and you might have issues with the letters as you say. If you can get the letter IDs you can probably forget them with debug commands
