It's kinda hard to just give broad anatomy tips without knowing what you need.

Trace pictures of people maybe? Then try to replicate the strokes without tracing (thats where the learning kicks in). I bought an anatomy reference package and thats what I use personally but I'm sure there are free options that you could use.

Though if you post a traced drawing of an image you should still credit the model/photographer

Always make sure to make it clear where your references come from

Even if it's from a pixiv or other character creator; somebody originally created those sprites and need to be credited

Ok, who here uses a HUION Kamvas 12 screen tablet?

I am in need of help bc I've never used a HUION before and somehow, fucked up the setting up part so bad that now, the pen works without a functioning screen, and the screen works without a functioning pen.

I need to know if there's an easier fix, or if the tablet itself is broken and I need a replacement

The only thing I usually caution people against is painting in your values then doing a color overlay. In my experience the colors just interact really oddly if that’s the approach

It can, it's just always pretty easy to spot for me. The real issue (I think) is that a lot of people use it as a short cut, when in reality I believe it actually requires more color theory expertise and knowledge to pull off well

Because a lot of the time, a change in value for a color doesn't always mean that color but just darker or lighter. A lot of the time it means a whole new color

At least when it pertains to art that falls under the realism spectrum

I never really noticed but I suppose I naturally use my elbow/shoulder to draw my lines

I swear lines can sense fear. If you run a line with no anxiety it looks great, but the second you try to force it in, it looks flat

I try to worry less about getting it right the first time which ngl does make traditional art harder

And yeah, shoulder and elbow activation is crucial. Drawing all your lines from the wrist is a recipe for wonky lines
