Hm, perhaps go over where the light source in the room is. While you do have shading, perhaps if you can pinpoint where the light source is from you can add more in depth shading depending on the point of light.

I know some characters don’t have much of an eye color with their portraits, but you can usually see it on their sprites; like, there was one time where someone asked if Sam’s eyes were green or blue and after re-looking at his sprite instead of his portrait, they appear green

For some reason whenever a character is happy or blushing their eyes turn green and it makes me go

I don’t think Harvey is the only one who falls under that, I think there’s a few others; like, I know Penny’s eyes get a red glint when she gets angry (which is kinda scary tbh) but that makes sense. 5 brushes in default and doesnt have many features shortcut keys like that wouldnt be a problem

just go on youtube and look for a tutorial that shows all the features ands tuff

i would shift the shadows behind the main part to be a little lighter, and add some colors that would blend in easily with a background, like blue

like keep the edges of the shadows behind the gem facing and make a reclected light in those shadows, itll give more dimension to the object and make it look more transluscent

i'm on a new laptop now and i redownloaded clip studio paint (i own it legally in the proudest way i can) and it had a bunch of brushes to start out with, my fave was the graphic design pencil

on CSP now i only have like 2 pencil brushes and i downloaded extra assets and they still were not there

does anyone know how i can get these back? i never used extra assets from csp, only the ones on the program itself

Best thing to do is to take a 15 break and then get back to it; usually that 15 minutes freshens your mind up a bit

you can focus on colour zones of the face
but how you shade will depend on whatever style youre going for
