Hey anyone here able to help me get pressure sensitivity working on Photoshop? I just got a Huion H950P tablet today and everything works on it the drivers are installed and settings show pressure sensitivity working, but when I go onto Photoshop with the pen icon on, it just doesn't work and I'm not sure why.

hmmm few suggestions I would guess, try unplugging your tablet and plugging it into a different usb port on your pc, if that not works try restarting photoshop

also when installing the driver for the tablet you need to search up your exact tablet on the website and install its exact driver software

Yeah I already did both of those

The tablet works fine on its own driver settings when changing sensitivity and I've done different USB ports but Photoshop itself just doesn't like it

I restarted the PC and Photoshop multiple times after changes

I did try turning that off and when it didn't work I turned it back on but same result both times

I'm not sure if I said it in this chat but I do have a screen tablet that I only use as a second monitor now because it was buggy but I was certain I deleted all old drivers before I ever plugged in the new tablet

I can't find any traces left but that's my only final guess as to why it won't function since Photoshop DID work with old tablet

It was sneaky but I was looking for Windows Ink and found a little shortcut for my old tablet driver settings and it still opens and works!

So I could not find the old disc driver... BUT I downloaded Krita and it works perfect there.

Photoshop I'm not sure what your problem is but Krita is doing fine

Having all of it aligned to the centre than the right makes it look better, and for the background a dull cyan colour fits the colours yellow and red nicely and is a better background colour than black (any kind of not bright or too dark Cyan colour will do)

Maybe with this one, if there are pockets of light pushing through, maybe punch of specs of light for some contrast? Sometimes the saturation of the background color looks a bit even with the other shades of greens, so maybe mix up a few levels of value. Maybe stuff in the foreground can be darker or something like that?

use lighter tones in the back if its misty and use darker more blue tones if its not

yeah I tend to stick to those saturated colors a bit too much. Maybe I'll just dull it out and work from there. Getting the light through the trees is a technique I have yet to master 🙃
The forest floor has so many colors I guess I don't even know how to start with the tones that would fit with that lighting technique properly. I'll try to find some pictures tho and work on it

dont be afraid to use layers for the tricky lighting, also many colors that are more grey in tone will look super colorful in some respects, its about tricking the eye to make it look saturated

like dont be afraid to color pick from some paintings to see what colors they actually are

You can try a pill called Dramamine to help with that as that is what I take and also I get these motion sickness medicinal pads you put behind your ear and it really works well>!>

i went into a 6 month long slump because i burned out, i didnt draw anything from november to about april-may. what got me out of that slump was my friend telling me about his ocs

If you can also, I draw a shitton of trees to figure out how value works, but don’t try to spend too much time on each. I also do pleine air painting sometimes if I can. The tricky thing about painting live is that the lighting and temperature changes frequently if you sit in a place too long. But I think with the lighting values are very important figure out. I use the hard brush quite a bit to figure out how to control edge control and the like.
