Seen one or two guys who could do that on Texas Country Reporter years back. Could just pick up a pencil and start replicating photos of horses. They didn't draft movement lines or anything, just started in the top left corner and moved to the bottom right and the entire photo just.. appeared from under their hand.
I'm not sure if you can call it a skill or not, something's just wired different in them.

Trying my hand at the pixel art games! this is an edited version of Alex from the "Bara Bachelors" portrait and sprite Mod to be more close to vanilla, but with the "cuter" face design, as well as the laying down sprite that was missing.

just look for round areas and then more sharp plane changes

best way to learn shading is to learn the planes of the face

and where fat will accumulate

so round areas like shoulders and cheeks and boobs will have soft shading

then sharp changes like
under the neck to under the chin will have sharper shadows

and transition colors so the shading doesnt look super bland
