I need some help figuring out 2 words to describe the eye of a storm.

The 4 terms is

1. before the storm
2. the movement of the storm
3. the start of the storm
4. the storm itself

but then I need help on describing
5. the eye of the storm
6. the reintroduced threat from the eye of the storm

I was thinking maybe Tense Calm? or Uneasy Rest?

Could I get some advice on a character design I'm trying to work out?

Its going to be the child of 2 dnd characters, One is a dragonborn and the other is a half berry elf (a homebrew race elf basically their blood line has been cursed to be part plants usually berries and their blood tends to be alchoholic), I need to figure out how much Dragonborn/human/elf ratio and limbs should be in the child and I'm not exactly sure what to go with

sorry, I think I explained myself wrong, what I meant was not to mirror an image (like both sides are like the same), I meant more like which colors could work to make a transparent/glass effect, even though, lowering the oppacity of the color could work

Hi Midori, it looks nice! I like the colors, it looks like it's painted with soft pink chalk paint. The softness of the highlights help give it that not-shiny look. I think because the heart is short it looks like a decoration rather than a mirror. Maybe if you put it next to a character, we can see how it looks next to a person

i think it’s cute! i like it but i agree that it might be easier to critique in the context of a bigger artwork (or in the game) i don’t know what the mod is but i feel like if you plopped that vanity straight in the vanilla game it might look a bit out of place because of how light and pastel it is?

imo if we use something like those pastel/vintage mods as well it might not look too bad

but if it's straight vanilla, no other mods, then i'm not sure either, might be a tad lighter than you want, but you can consider adding an outline to your sprite

The right eye is a little off centered and the shoulders need slight adjustment to be more even (whether that be raising the shoulder on the right [which is what I recommend] or lowering the one on the left) also you could adjust the shading on his chest and neck to more encapsulate a shape or form instead of making it appear flat. The right ear can also be flattened out just a tiny bit. Aside it looks really good my man keep it up 🤝🤝

Here's a tip I just discovered, if you want to make a reflection of something, imitate the object but with random and lighter pixels, so it doesn't look so clear compared to the original object.

If you're using mobile I recommend using Ibis Paint for any sort of art. RPG Maker MV is a good program to use for game making for starters, otherwise, I would learn to use Unity.

If you're going for 8-bit I would just use the pixel pencil on MS Paint.

If you're struggling to search for ideas check sources such as Pinterest and random topic generators online, make a moodboard of the character.

I've used sites like https://www.seventhsanctum.com/index.php and Perchance to help me out of an artblock

Listen to some soundtracks and music too for inspo

Lastly, for anatomy study, check the work of other artists, I would also recommend using a Doll to use as a reference but if you're really not sure how anatomy works then don't do it.

I also recommend looking at photos of actual people, googling things like “person sitting at ledge” gets you things like;

It's ok to trace out an outline of the model first before you independently draw it on your own, I did this with my own artwork when I drew the Wizard cat. I drew a mini cat model tracing the second ref first to get an idea of joint positions and poses before free-styling it in my own lineart. Don't use your traced lineart though.
