I don't have anything more sophisticated for image editing than mspaint so I can't exactly illustrate what I mean, but I think the issue is the lips and nose are a bit to the side, but the chin is almost perfectly straight on

First I just fixed some proportion issues just by selecting and enlarging some areas. Then I used the clone stamp tool to recreate blank paper and erase some parts and drew over with a simple brush after I took the same color of his lines.

Also, I flipped the drawing with "horizontal symetry" while I made corrections just to see things more clearly

Yes usually I do redlines. But sometimes you just can't really see what the redlines would change, especially when it's proportions issues.

It's faster to select the areas and change their size than redrawing all the body because it was too short

I first started by trying acrylics but found it to be too.. big for that so I used rubbing alcohol (Nail Polish Remover) to strip it entirely of its paint, I then tried to spray it but due to an oversight with the masking tape placement I had a gritty look in some areas. I have just completely removed the paint again and gone for a complete spray without masking tape. Once the cover is dry and i''m certain the finish is smooth I'll then work on the details such as the red book end and tabs

The drawings were my very first drawings before I got my hand disability thing and moved across to digital 3d

My work sucked and I hated it and It took a long time to overcome the fear of even looking at my own finished work. The Art and Fear book really helped overcome that and if anyone is interested i hope it can help them too

The anatomy book is incredibly detailed down to the smallest details of genitalia and other things and is a great resource for learning and practicing anatomy in a wide range of poses

if anyone has the same issue as me, was born with a genetic muscular defect (not me) or has a damaged dominant hand you can still work. I found... only recently that hand stabiliser gloves can create quite a significant improvement with stability and shakeyness than just a natural hand

you can pick something up like this at most places that sell medicine or medical supplies. Or specifically online you can buy ones that were intended for an artist. These can help your hand glide across the paper or digital tablet too due to the smooth fabric

yeah yellow lineart is not the best colour for lineart

then i set that layer to shade
so it has a subtle change depending on what colour is below it

gives a nice effect

then the lineart colour depends on the character/enviroment

I usually use thicker dark lineart for just that - lineart. Typically when I do colouring, the lines are usually erased.

and turn the opacity all the way down to like 5%

its good for lining
so i dont rely on my sketch toooo much
