Good for you. And you can find Miru’s on Google because they posted it on reddit that’s how the internet works. If you compare the usernames you’ll easily realize that it is in fact Miru who posted it. Just cuz someone posts a picture on two different platforms, does not mean it means they stole it. Hey, so I got the game a while ago but only really started to get into it recently. I know there are a bunch of designs of peoples farms here but I always seem to have the problem of my layouts just ending up being terrible and just generally not very efficient. any advice?

maybe divide it in multiple areas,cause that thing is huge,like an area for kegs,an area for cristalariums,keep the bottom as an actual quarry,have a cute decorated area,etc

imo the best thing to remember is what’s efficient/a good layout for someone else isn’t necessarily the best for you & also your farm is always changing so don’t be afraid to try out new things and change up what you don’t like! there are people in year 10 still trying figure out the best layout lol

with that being said though i think a lot of people agree that starting with paths is extremely helpful and building off of that

also the game is always there to play, it’s okay to take 3-4 in-game days in spring/summer/fall to focus just on designing! efficiency isn’t everything :)

I have one farm in year 17, where I still try and optimize the efficiency and design. The best time to decorate is winter imo, you have a better overview on the farm, which helps for placing the paths

first time trying to design a decent-ish full farm within the limits of the farm planner (it doesn't load fish ponds, tea trees, mini shipping bins, or certain paths so I had to use replacements and not all decorative crafted items are available), how does it look?

(the bottom left area is intended to be space for a tapper farm, and the fish ponds are intended to be on the empty gray square)

also intended to be for relatively early game use, so no clock or obelisks and that stuff just yet

i'm not really good at symmetry stuff because i'm used to organic design, should i switch the coop area with the crops to make symmetry?

i think the issue isn't so much there isn't enough symmetry

but the fact that you have large clusters for crops/animals

you could try dividing them into smaller areas (like splitting up the fishing ponds/crop areas unless your goal is to maximize efficiency?)

all the while adding more building varieties like sheds or the slime hutch

some additional pathways that aren't so linear could help too, as would more natural greenery like with the trees/orchards

You'll get more of a feel for things once you're actually on your farm trying to put all that together.

On riverland I like making the centre island the crop space, and grazing my animals on the mainland between my house and the greenhouse. I can just barely squeeze the slime hutch onto the island in the lower left corner with room to actually enter it, but sometimes on riverland I don't bother with a slime hutch at all, or build it to enable egg drops and then destroy it again.

Oh and then I have a secondary crop space right outside my front door

I only have an older riverland save on my phone, without the secondary crop space, and upload.farm doesn't render mobile big sheds of which I have two on the left on the island above the slime hutch. But it's a good illustration of how I like to do the central crop island.

I am just a huge fan of symmetry, and I like the idea of a forest shrine with all the different teleportation totems. The beach farm is a little rude though as symmetry is very tough (for example the 8 fish ponds on the right vs the 6 on the left)
And the whole sprinkler thing not working, kinda forces you to go animal and fruit tree more than anything else, hah!
