Plans for my farm on the switch, will be swapping the right most fish pond and greenhouse. I'm only using the farming area on the right, with a barn and a coop, don't have junimo huts right now. Should I leave that much space for animals? I want to decorate more but I'm not sure how much grass I should leave for animals

I got 4 Fridges (1 fridge fish, 1 fridge crops, 1 fridge forage/flowers, 1 fridge for dairy products and other ingredients) in total and can cook any recipe. It certainly is doable ^^

It's just low quality crops used in recipes, if you put them in a fridge you don't have to keep them in your inventory to cook meals. But if you have things in your inventory it has precedence over the fridge content, so you don't make Sashimi on tuna or something 🙂

Tuna is strictly reserved for fish tacos, everyone knows this 😉

In early game, I would leave areas fallow, or wild, and let grass and trees grow there. I'd farm the trees and thin out the grass for hay, leaving patches here and there so it would regrow faster.

I have 3 silos but plan to set up my coops/barns with a second gated area with grass starters and lightning rods so they can graze. I'm also about to hit year 4 so I have like 3ish stacks of wood. I just did zero design until now lol

Sheds save a ton of space, especially great for small farms like Forest.

You can turn Junimo Huts on and off as you please. If you turn them off, they will still leave their little huts (only when something can be harvested) but won't pick up crops. So if you only want them for cuteness, then that's the way

I had 4-5 mayo machine when i was in the early years and only slowly make more in year 3 or so XD i think u can get them more often in the early floors of the mine, like lvl 1-39 (maybe u can spam reset the mine at level 10). Good luck day can help as well

You may not be able to build it there (with mods it works maybe). Some tiles are blocked (shown as red when trying to build) even though it looks like they would be available and I would assume the four tiles around water bowl are blocked (a 3x5 tile area in front of the cave is blocked for buildings too btw!). Make sure to check where Robin/Wizard let you build stuff, before planning (I learned the hard way)

Wow, everyone here is so creative o-o I tried to redesign my previous layout, but I definitely don't have as much space to farm! I'm not sure what takes up most of my space, but I think it's all the paths! I think I just like having a path to literally everything ever + shortcuts (cutting corners, etc)

I decided to go with something like this, now to just construct it in the game... yikes!

How do I get rid of the Child Beds and Crib? I’m playing 1.5 on a PC via Steam. I see nice house decorations without the beds, so it must be possible. I can move the beds, but not store them in a chest. What’s the trick?

The crib is smth you remove at robins after its fully upgraded, idk bout the child beds i could just remove them tho im on switch

the npc will destroy any object in their path expect floors

i think the only place you can't decorate is inner town, but you can decorate up by the center

I had all my chests organized just outside my farmhouse, but since I'm FINALLY decorating, all the chests are becoming annoying, so had to make 23 chests and put them in a spot where I won't be bothered with them for now! The chest work is gonna be the most grueling -.-
For reference, this is how my farm will look like:

Once I make other profiles on different layouts, I'm gonna try something much different! Probably not as many coops and barns, but yeah! I like this cozy look!

I'd also cut out 2x barns and 2x coops to give animals and yourself room to move. Take out the flooring around coops as well and plant grass for the animals.

I’ll cut out 2 coops and more of the flooring. I kind of want to keep the 6 barns because I really want a barn full of each species of animal. I’d have 12 pigs but I’m gonna dedicate 2 barns for them
