yea they are rare, but once you can start harvesting, you can put them in seed maker and multiply ... after some weeks you will have a lot growing and soon enough you can have as many as you want basically.

i use lighting rods in my animal pens to keep grass growing. If you place them on a grass patch animals cant eat it but the grass can still spread

you can do the same with the fences surrounding the animals

ive heard that fruit trees will continue to improve in quality every year they have a 3x3 space around them, until they reach iridium quality. If you put things next to them (e.g. floor tiles) after they start fruiting, you will never get quality fruit

but im pretty sure once its fully grown you could place stuff beside them, incl buildings

I'd say I noticed myself enjoying the farm more when I have mushroom trees, some toys scattered across the farm (like junimo plushies), some pathways to make it look a little more realistic, and some torches here and there. I also really like flowers, so I'm a fan of just putting flower pots or flowery decorations all around the farm

No. Grass will hinder production. A guy weeks ago looked into the code and grass is counted as an obstruction. Truffles can be left in grass, but too much grass and your truffle numbers will suffer. My own experience bears this out.

I'm always having a dilemma with how i wanna design my farm lololol. This is my idea so far. Does anyone have ideas on what to do for the empty area on the top? I'm not planning on planting crops outside of my greenhouse ||since i've got alot of crops on ginger island and am currently filling the island with bee houses and fairy rose as well|| I'm also just considering placing trees on the full bottom of the farm (leaving a path to travel by horse) because of lack of ideas.

I’d break up your farm into like 4 parts and take it one area at a time

It mostly depends on what you wanna do with your farm

Yup, this is wrong. Grass is a terrain feature. The truffle spawning code looks for a 2x2 space without terrain features (aka grass/trees etc)

After a truffle is spawned, the truffle placement code lets it be placed wherever there is room, so on top of tiles or inside grass.

Often there is a pig or other animal in the 2x2 area, so it spins in a circle for 100 spaces trying to find a valid spot to drop it

I’m doing a multiplayer world and we each get our own corner in the four corners farm… and we have separate money

So what you grow you get the profits from

That means I’m gonna have to try to fit a farms worth of buildings, animals, and crops in a fourth of the size

haha nah, i'm on switch so i can split-screen. using the cabins for free keg, chest and furnace space and it takes less outside space than sheds

Be careful the wood supply though, despite having a tree farm it looks a little sparse
Plus a little unplanned trees always help the farm look better

I am not sure what to do next with the ||ginger island|| farm. What should I plant in the big area? Should I have more fruit trees? Or should I have a seating area in the middle of the field in the shape of a star? I am really not quite sure.
But, maybe planting Coffee and Ancient seeds at least. Perhaps the rare seeds too.

Maybe not so many paths, it can cover up a lot of space you could otherwise use, and could put all those machines inside sheds instead so you have better space. And definately set up some good spots for crops, and maybe some junimo huts
