Do you know if it's possible to place rubies in the overworld? I'm thinking a few ruby hearts filled in with different fruits and the main big one will have torches and one sign that asks the question, "Will you be my Valentine?" Or maybe a few more signs on the path that leads to the center of the main heart.

Looks really neat! Could add some fish ponds. I would probably do a bit less fencing and a bit of aesthetics with some more trees. Maybe some more room for animals? 3 barns and 2 coops maxed out are probably going to need more grazing space, but i'm not sure.

Winning is already an abstract enough concept in this game as it is, though I guess 1.5 does give a more definite goal line.
I think there's enough furniture to support the idea of a brewer's cabin. And a metal and minerals cabin. Maybe a rancher's cabin too? Still outfit them as a living space, while also integrating all your artisan equipment.

This area here I would move the Shed and Windmill up a row to extend that 2 row of flooring from main entrance on right all the way across and also move them both to the right so that you can drop down a 2 row of flooring from the entrance up top.
But building a farm is always a work in progress. Takes awhile to get what you want.

Here's the result of spending ~6 hours yesterday redesigning the farm at the end of winter year 3... still have a lot of open space to work with! Most pressing is where to put lightning rods. I think I'm going to put a little statue garden near Grandpa's Shrine. Open to feedback! I've already achieved perfection so it's mainly aesthetics and just keeping things going at this point vs. making lots of money

Both are really good. Outside the greenhouse stick to ancient fruit. Much easier, and also more profitable. In the greenhouse you can do starfruit all year if you want. But ancient fruit is still easier.

it'll take longer if you don't make multiple paths to talk through, but you'll make a little more money if you only have one connecting path

It works for me because on days I don't sell wine or big loads of crops, I get around 4,0000 daily from animal products, fruit trees, cranberries and strawberry preserves from my backlog, roe, and whatever random stuff I find. Then, we get big payload days from wine.

I'm on PC, so local co-op is as easy as plugging in a gamepad. Then you control one farmer with M+KB and the other with gamepad. No idea how it works on Switch. But yeah, cabins are awesome, and who knows, your friend may just end up having some fun with your generous gift 😄

IMO laptops are now the best of both worlds. Though they make it a pain to find good deals.
Though integrated graphics are getting to the point where even $500 machines may be compelling, and of course I don't think you could even find a new machine incapable of running SDV. You'd need to find a used machine with Core 2 era integrated graphics or some BS. Maybe even older than that, you would need to go out of your way to find a laptop incapable of running SDV - at least from a hardware perspective.

there are spouse room mods, but I've not tried one since the update.
I tried to mod it myself, like I had done prior to the update, but things changed and now my mod doesn't work... I tried to update, but I lost the will to live while trying to work out the changes...
I'll have another go at it at some point.. in the mean time, I just ignore his part of the house if I can lol
