It's just not very interesting IMO. If I were to use a plain sort of map I'd rather take the standard farm for the extra space. Now that you can turn the monsters off in the beginning I think you'll see more people give it a try.

Not using it ATM sadly. I used it when I decided to try make a big fruit tree orchard farm, back when getting Iridium star tree fruit meant keeping the bases of the trees empty for 3 whole years after reaching full size

Kinda abandoned the farm after that, but the layout is pretty fun.

why did you need ot keep the base of tree empty for three years?

Prior to patch 1.4, fruit trees only matured if the 8 tiles surrounding the trunk were empty.

And for each year a fully grown fruit tree was able to continue maturing, the quality of the fruit it produces would increase by one stage

After 1.4, the 8 empty tiles are only required during the initial growth period, but the tree will continue to mature afterwards even if those tiles are filled in

The bookshelves are very warm toned, rich and a bit dark But the room as a whole is cool. You'd be better off using some lighter bookshelves (the artist bookshelf maybe?) or making the room a bit darker and warmer overall

Okay so my suggestions are

Don’t be afraid to let your crops grow wild rather than fenced in

You can stagger your fences they don’t need to be boxes

Add pathways and grass starters as decorations

Don’t place your coop right behind your house place it with the barn

If you ever get a slime hutch put it in the lower left corner ( @uncut tapir idea)

Put wooden lamppost things (forgot their name) but they work well with the forest farm

No need to fence in everything

You can break those bushes with an axe so that’s that

If you don't want to have decorative areas, you could just add more crops or another coop. I usually have three coops, one for bunnies and dinos, and the other two for ducks and chickens

I would suggest maybe coordinating your floorings, you did pretty well but some of the wallpapers and floors don't go well with the furniture (for example, the upper left bedroom has a green bed and pink walls with black floors)

Maybe try to set a theme for each room instead of trying to fit a ton of furniture you get into each one

Sorry this is so old, I don't know if anyone responded, but 8 iridium sprinklers surrounding a hut, and the hut itself in the central 5x5 plot is actually perfect for junimo reach and you'll have 1 extra tile of reach in each direction

On this farm they miss crops a decent amount of time, which is why on my current farm I did even fewer crops per hut.

I'm thinking about remaking that thread and capturing a video of a bugged junimo. Sometimes I can watch them just stand in place bugging out. That'll hurt the efficiency of that hut, but generally I have enough overlap that other huts can pick up the slack.

Yes that space good for animals except pigs.
