That's the lava eel
Oh cute
They make the water red
Cool
I’m on summer 18 on year 1
Going pretty good so far
I’m getting wood for the coop
Nice
Yeah berries are great
I was told for fall I should plant cranberries right?
Yes
Also plant crops you need for the community center
When I do the safe does the money go away
People tend to forget it
Also plant crops you need for the community center
@opaque rampart ye ik that
When I do the safe does the money go away
@fallow phoenix yeah you buy it
Aw man
I’ll wait till I have a stable source of income
Like eggs and stuff
And I have to make friends with stupid Shane for the blue eggs
I hate him
crop like cranberries (fall) and blueberries (summer) are pretty expensive at first but afterwards make BANK
definitely worth the investment
that's almost profound
just unlocked the greenhouse, can you guys send photos of yours for inspo?
Trees are still growing and the sprinkler layout is awful, but I haven't gotten around to change it yet.
Ancient fruits?
||Ancient fruits|| and blueberries, though I may replace the blueberries at one point.
that looks amazing!
Thank you! I recommend planting trees in the greenhouse so you have fruit all year round.
Trees are still growing and the sprinkler layout is awful, but I haven't gotten around to change it yet.
@hybrid prairie im crazy for efficiency and the sprinklers make me lose the will to live
lmao
I didn't have enough sprinklers to do the efficient layout when I got the greenhouse and I never went to fix it.
Morris haunts my dreams
That big fat white nasty smelling fat BITCH
“Joja, even fish like our cola”
As im very new. My farmsucks
It’s super cute
Better than mine, anyway
Save us for a silo and do not get rid of grass
Until you have it
You’ll need it for hay
@gloomy pine nice farm
r u playing on mobile?
They are, you can tell from the vertical toolbar and minimal HUD
I was exclusively on mobile until yesterday :P
bruh ok
ye i was about to comment on the toolbar
looks pretty bad imo
no offence to mobile players
Idk, I think the toolbar on mobile works well. You can set it to the be on either side and you can actually scroll it to see anything in your inventory
You can also switch to horizontal in settings if you really don't like it
IF i play moble
i mean not bad crops wise
Beginner tip: Don't waste resources on the basic sprinklers, they're not worth it.
iridium for late/midgame and quality can be used if you have a lot of them
Beginner tip: Don't waste resources on the basic sprinklers, they're not worth it.
i did on my new farm in summer because i wasnt level 6 yet and i didnt feel like watering 100+ crops
only 8
wasnt that much lol
saved me some energy do whatever
i would if my dumbass remembered i need level 6 farming
i have all the gold but im level 4 because i barely planted anything
I always do Parsnips -> Potatoes -> Strawberries in spring, then Blueberries in Summer, and by like the second or so blueberry harvest I have Farming 6
i dont do new save files enough do remember shit like that
And by the time I hit that I have enough gold, iron, and refined quartz to make all the sprinklers I need for fall
I only buy 1 each unless it's quality stuff
actually i bought like 15 of each
Because you really only need 1
well its more money so whatever, i like to have more than one anyway
this is #farms-and-outfits
covo is better in seasoned
you'll get more help there
i dont need help?
We're just talking about it
I decorated my farm cave a bit
I'll eventually take the charcoal kiln out of there, but for now, it will stay
aww
The butterfly hutch is the greatest investment change my mind
i cant you are right
That's cute!
So pretty!
Let me get that mod for you @gloomy pine https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4870
No, I have discovered I actually only like the version of the hardwood fence
I'll probably try and make some frankenstein monster of a mod for personal use lol
I could probably replace some textures from the mod I'm using with the hardwood one gejgje
whats the site for making map designs? i really want to use it
and pls @me if you answer
@quasi crypt
https://stardew.info/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
thx
np
I wanted to make a little indoor garden...
There's a mod where it includes potted flowers i forgot the name tho
And succulents as well
Anyone with a river land farm that could send it for inspiration
I have some regrets about choosing it rn😩
You can always restart
Yes but don’t want to
It took me so looOng
And also I know that if I restart I’ll get sick of it
I dont think there is much room on river farm so it will be hard figuring out how to make your layout
You can try using the farm editor website
What platform you play on? It's possible on PC or Mobile to switch farm maps
Yes, unless you play on console
It's a relatively simple save edit
Easier and less fiddly if you have mods to help with moving stuff around to fit the new layout, but still possible without mods
what platform are you?
yes you can end up with trees in weird places
without mods, this usually means switching farm types back and forth a few times to clean up stuff in will-be-glitched areas
with mods, just download NoClip mod and Reset Terrain Features for easy fixes
i have 0 shame :D
Lol looks nice in that style too!
the style looks great
That's gorgeous! Are those mushroom boxes without the box?
don't think so
lol ok
grass is the biggest suprise
I fixed the sprinkler layout and gained 3 crop places.
It should for efficiency and more crops.
yesss I agree
Me too.
at least the sprinklers on the edge dont take up room on the grid
then it would be a waste
I'm so triggered everytime I see the "perfect" greenhouse layout c':
IT'S ASYMMETRICAL AAA
Yeah that's one of the first thing I downloaded ahah
Lemme check which one I got again hh
Because come on it's so good
Without having those gigantic greenhouses
AND THERE'S A CELLAR
It's not the biggest for sure, and I could take a bigger one since I have so many new seeds and trees.... but also I like this one
It's cute, there's a season-changing window and it's fitting with the size of the outdoor greenhouse ahah
oh wow I did.....
Now the only thing bothering me is the entrance not being center.
You can still add a greenhouse mod now
If you haven't started using the greenhouse yet, it won't even cause any extra work
If you have started using the greenhouse already, NoClip mod + Crop Transplant Mod can let you tidy up after the switch @woven pond
UwU
So pretty omfg
that looks so nice
@scenic sage oh, thanks!
oooo pretty @civic hearth what mods have you got on there?
Omg so niceeeeee
OMG so pretty
@civic hearth u upgrade the house?
I think she/him uses a mod
Should i upgrade my house? It costs 10k g+ woods
I have mine on last level I think
And it is not that big
like 5k woods
Ohh I see
She/he uses a mod
At last level it won't be that big but it will be big
I think you should upragde your house
Aight
Btw is work bench worth to buy?
I bought one and it is similar to handicraft
What did it do again? Since I just came from break
ummmm hmmmm
workbench lets you craft from chests connected to it so you don't have to take out any components
oooo pretty @civic hearth what mods have you got on there?
@steep bramble the house mod is Seasonal Garden Farm house along with the furniture set linked in the description of the mod, I added Urban Outfitters Boho furniture ( the bean bag couch, and stylized chair along with other stuff), Seasonal Fences, and Garden pots Retexture
There’s also Cosy Warm Fireplace
That one isn’t linked directly last time I checked
@gloomy pine yes it’s upgraded to the maximum size but it’s moded as well
Oh kk
Day 11 and I'm already at 5k, soon.. backpack
It's very ugly right now tho, I'll wait until all my spring crops are dead to finally start the actual decoration and final farm layout ahah
Day 11 and I'm already at 5k, soon.. backpack :EYES:
@gloomy pine wow
Yeah I fished non-stop ahah
Lol
Also since I have the vegan CC mod, I don't need fish for the CC, so I can sell everything c':
Lol
Day 11 and I'm already at 5k, soon.. backpack :EYES:
@gloomy pine How do you get the mist/fog look? Is it default for the farm or is it a separate mod? Thank you in advance
I think it's climates of ferngill that adds foggy weather?
That would be my guess ye
yes!
Thank you, is the fog random?
Pretty much yeah
You can have hints about the weather on the TV but... I don't think the fog is mentionned
it's common for fog to be there in the morning but disappear during the day
I always look at the TV 🙂 thank you for the help
hmmm yeah
Finally did something with my own farm cave.
it's winter!
best season
That's a pretty farm cave!
Looks so pretty!
^^
I'm starting to decorate my little buildings but I can't say I haven't been spired by all of you. <3

Im spending the rest of my winter decorating I think. I've got all my buildings built, the only true thing I have left to save up for other than weapon upgrades is the gold clock.
Nice! it is something I will put in my farm, but I'm very far from it still... I'm about to finish Fall Y2, I'll share my farm in a bit
damn, year 2 and you already got everything?
No, I super far from getting everything
I'm on year 9 and I'm 8 millions short for the clock lmaooo
oh
but at least you maxed your tools
I'm finishing winter y4 and i ain't done shit lol
i'm on winter y3 ;.;
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4137 this one
@gloomy pine thx
Here is my farm, the last day of Fall, Y2. @little sonnet in case you wanna see how it's going!
HRNGH. Its so pretty.
GOSH that is cute
Im debating redoing my crop fields because I don't need the money from them as much anymore. Just not sure what to do with them yet. I love all the grass and tiling,a nd how opene verything is.
I love the color palette of the mod combination
I already have another idea for a save which will be my joja run.
I already have another idea for a save which will be my joja run.
@little sonnet Ooooh interesting
Trees have grown a lot during Fall, and that looks a to better
It's less empty now, makes me feel it's closer to what I thought for this
But I may be thinking of changing the purpose of the triangles, and make a pretty pattern with tea bushes
Tell me about the Joja Run! I wanna know
I don't need much crop space outside cause I got this GH. Still quite away from filling it
Hrngh. The big greenhouse is just. <3
I already got in paper what goes everywhere. I'm almost done with my trellis crops, which is something.
Did you tile the inside of it, too? - I wish the backing of the greenhouse mod I have would show the outside like that. It feels bland in comparison.
Nop, the flooring is from the mod itself
This is my greenhouse currently. I need Summer etc Crops to fill in the rest of the squares.

It's amazing!
I like how we approach this differently, I'm only going for multiharvest crops in the gh, to avoid any type of replanting
See, i'd totally do that too if i needed it for efficiency. But I'm doing the little crop spaces inside for display tbh
i'll harvest the regrowable ones but they'll be there just in case i need them and for show.
My main harvest area is gonna be hte trees and the hops/AF up top.
I really wish the walls had a better backdrop but I don't know how to edit etc enough to fix that.
Knowing how to edit that would be awesome! The backdrop is super cute
My slime hutch has it and my old greenhouse did, too
Yeah, in my case the GH goes for a mix of variety and practical
Your slime hutch is really pretty!
Mid-season update. Debating rearranging my giant crop display - havent decided exactly how I want to do that yet. I'm on day 3 of nightmarket y3 winter. All buildings are upgraded... so.. its time to fill 'em in.
I have to say, your current mods make Winter look incredibly pretty
Changing the giant crop display in what way?
I havent quite figured that out. Either redoing where the seasons fall or putting them more together along the edges, or in the center. I like their display in the corners but it feels presently unbalanced.
Thank you for the compliments about my winter. It is rather lovely. <3
I agree that the fall plot might feel unbalanced cause it's got less crops
I think what I can do is cut the other two down to four, perhaps.
itll give me more crop space for sure.
I'm gonna do Melon Pepper Cabbage Starfruit for Summer, Cauli Parsnip Strawberry Coffee for Spring, and then keep Fall as it were.
That sounds good!
I'm currently working towards filling my sheds, which according to my excel budget, needs me to have 2.1 million gold for the resources
And I just finished getting the multi-harvest fruit seeds for the GH and I'll be planting those soon
Hopefully will help towards the money gathering
I don't know who may know this or if it is doable or not. I use the immersive farm remastered, but have removed some fence areas. Is there a way to remove the fences on it in the planner. We have paths, and I know that can't be reput down that I can tell
Furnace Shed... cause reasons. It feels to elegant, and warm... but I like the strange contrast.
Ohh wow! I love it
It really does look elegant!
I went for the tea triangles, it being winter and having a bunch of forage seeds
Cuuute!
It's winter, so it's hard for it to look good
I feel that.
But I'll wait till they've grown to decide whether to pave or fill with grass
Gonna put a hut in the center to harvest the tea leaves?
I thought about dedicating a space to tea leaves for myself. Just haven't decided where.
I haven't really thought about putting a junimo hut there, I was gonna surround the middle with some trees in my initial plan. But now I have something to ponder hehehe
It would be cute, even with the hut off center or something and surrounded by trees and whatnot. Itll be like a small junimo forest.
I’m putting a Junimo forest area on my Immersive Farm. It’s in one of the secret areas :3
Cause I love Junimos
In another secret area I’m putting my obelisks :3
Inside the diamond shape thingy
how do you display your items on pedestals? mod?
You can put items in all the furniture that are tables (big or small)
the grass in the cave died :c
Do you have any mods that let the grass survive through winter?
You guys like my new hat
I'm gonna use your GH layout in my next save... just for how clean it is... @_@
It's winter, so it's hard for it to look good
@red obsidian ah yes ;the ;winter grass mod
whar greenhouse mod is that?
i want it SO bad now
for uh
my island farm
Hey, it's Pookachu's greenhouse
It's working really good for me so far, and I haven't even filled it up yet
@red obsidian what visual mods do you use?
no i dont, i didn't know there was one :c
also im considering getting another coop/barn to fill out the bottom right, thoughts?
You should, maybe in the bottom right corner
The bottom right corner of the bottom right corner
Can anyone show a pic of the inside of ur house
Can anyone show a pic of the inside of ur house
@golden juniper I can, but not right now. Lemme load up the game real quick.
wait i just realised i never put up my tree
@red obsidian what visual mods do you use?
@drifting bobcat I have Eemie's map recolor, Flower Grass and Snowfields, Rose's Craftables (with a personal edit for the Deluxe Scarecrow to show up), Seasonal Fences and Seasonal Flooring. Then the buildings are a mix of the Stone Building Mod + Gweniaczek cabins, well, obelisks and gold clock (last two not built yet tho)
That is so pretty Elsha!
i hate that i can't change the spouse room tho
There are a few mods that try to make it better, but nothing like being able to change the wallpaper and all
love the design
It's because a lot of us have played normal layouts.
We would be happy to share them or you can search this channels images for inspiration or go to the SDV reddit.
I dont feel that comment was necessary, even if you may be joking or memeing Jack.
I love your housing layout Elsha! It's so clean and happy in all its colorations. I need to redo my house interior.
I can't seem to change this part of the wallpaper, is it sposed to be like that or am I being an idiot
Like the yellow part
oh u cant change that part lol
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I chose the worst possible farm land I could ever get did i? I chose the fishing land
Fishing land is probably the worse in my opinion
I had to learn that the hard way ;-;
It's pretty but it's challenging for sure
I’m thinking of making a new save that’s new and a actual spacious farm
I love the forest farm I had that in my old save file before I got mods and I now have Immersive Farm
If you don’t have a plan for what you’re gonna do or if you usually make small farms you shouldn’t do four corners
It’s so big you need something everywhere or else it looks bad
...no? You can just wing it
Also if you usually make small farms then take Four Corners even more!
It's four small farms in one
lol ok
Yeah I saw it! It's an amazing farm
Also: Medieval Buildings ftw o/
four corners is way too big in my opinion
i mean technically i can fill it and make it looks good, but i prefer to have all my farm stuffs in one spot and not super far apart
That's your way to do it and that's valid
Doesn't mean it's the same for others
bro i just said IN MY OPINION
Bro I didn't say otherwise
sheesh, not everyone on the internet is looking to be a dictator
calm down wtf
i-
Also speaking of Four Corners I can't wait to start actually doing this plan but with all my mods ahah
preety
thanks!
wait so like actually how long does it take to run around the whole thing
it looks big but im not sure how big it actually is in game
It's actually not that big, especially when you have access to the shortcuts
noice
yeah im using forest farm rn
It's the same size as the standard farm, just... cut into four parts
really?
Yeah
hm interesting]
might try it
It's a really good map!
im trying to get insanely rich and get the return scepter on my first and only save
im on yr 11
And you have a bit of everything too: a stump for the hardwood, a little quiery, a fishing lake
JUST got the furniture catalog
ye
hm so how long would it take to get the return scepter
im trying to mass produce iridium bars and sell those
Idk but it's probably a question for #stardew-spoilers
mm
@drifting bobcat I have Eemie's map recolor, Flower Grass and Snowfields, Rose's Craftables (with a personal edit for the Deluxe Scarecrow to show up), Seasonal Fences and Seasonal Flooring. Then the buildings are a mix of the Stone Building Mod + Gweniaczek cabins, well, obelisks and gold clock (last two not built yet tho)
jus savin this
It's because a lot of us have played normal layouts.
We would be happy to share them or you can search this channels images for inspiration or go to the SDV reddit.I dont feel that comment was necessary, even if you may be joking or memeing Jack.
I love your housing layout Elsha! It's so clean and happy in all its colorations. I need to redo my house interior.
@little sonnet k
if you want normal layouts
go to search
put
from:@drifting bobcat
has:image
plus jack, people spend a lot of time on the modded farm maps, so even if you don't play them, there's no reason to critisize them.
and they can still give inspriation for normal maps, even if they're like, 20x the size
Yeah imagine judging someone because they play with mods..
but if' you're here to STEAL designs, then go to reddit.
there are much better vanilla game layouts there
and uh
here
I like this hilltop farm a lot!
Yeah it's better indeed
i have a ton more designs,
but i'm playing modded currently, so i don't think someone would like them
plus they're not done yet either
not done yet
Otherwise Hakuna would never share here gjhejge
I didn't judge because they were playing with mods @gloomy pine
I said that there was no normal sdv layouts anymore
I didn't say "bruh don't play mods"
Smh
@drifting bobcat also thanks!
there are tons of normal ones
mods are...
mods are cool i guess
i just prefer vanilla
does anyone actually play vanilla here? ive only seen mods, mods, mods
i play vanilla
yeah ik
@gloomy pine @drifting bobcat thanks so much for the kind comments!

You're welcome! Your designs are always a delight!
oh hey guys, i got a questions
have either of you ever played vanilla
or do you mostly do mods
Well, yes, I have played a ton of vanilla before modding
Map wise I've only modded 1 map out of the dozen or so farms I've made
Depending on the type of mod
If you're just modding the color of the buildings absolutely nothing will happen if you remove it
yea im just gonna keep playing vanilla, imo its better ;-;
If you don' check compatibilities, yeah
But I have 300+ mods and it's working perfectly fine
oh god
how is your computer alive
it's not a lot
Vanilla is nice, I mean, it's a game I love
compared to some here
Also Stardew mods are SOOO SMALL
Any computer can do mod c':
Current save I'm working on is 73 mods, but I've played with more
h interesting
300 mods
weakling
see?
And anyways, no one is saying vanilla isn't good. In my case, where I have so many hours in this game, it's nice to be able to change and tweak stuff... from the building color to new crops
i never said nobody is saying vanilla aint good
Yeah I mean you can play with only visual mods, the game will stay vanilla in the end
yeah vanilla is good, I just get tired of the same thing over and over
i just wanted to know which you prefer
I decide on my mods for the farm I'm about to start before each game
That's why now I'm working on a playthrough of 73, but I've done more in the past
And probably will again lol
for me mods are a way to get more of the game I like cause otherwise like I said, I'd get tired of the repetitiveness
and theres why i dont do mods
my computer would be wheezing even more than it does when i play normal pc game
Me: yeah I used mods to avoid getting tired of the game y'know
Also me:
oof how long have u had stardew

Yeah, I wasn't exagerating
is this what you do with your life
Nope, I actually work a very demanding full time job
then how
When you like a game, you end up with this kind of thing c':
do you spend all ur free time on SDV
I've just had this game since 2017 I think
owo same...
Yeah, I spend pretty much all my free time with SDV
i have.... 250 hours i think
I have like... 600 hours of Starbound and I don't play it that much
I have 809 hours in stardew
My first farm got to year 9
mm
1 ,,,,
im still in my farm bc i havent finished the community center yet ^^
i suck at fishing, hence my nickname
I love fishing in this game c':
i need TWO FISH to finish the center
Check the Travelling Merchant ferret! You might find them there!
This is how my first farm looked when I decided it was time to retire from it
It's the vanilla map with just building recolors
That and Automate for the bee houses
yeah i think the traveling merchant sells all fish except one, and i dont need that one
Other than that and the tractor mod, it's a completely achievable in vanilla
anything is achievable in vanilla, except some added content from mods
I hesitated to use the tractor mod.... but it doesn't fit my cottage core idea gjehgje
I'm not using it in my current one, but I've used it in all my previous ones
I decided to plant a lot of trees there, what did you guys do with yours?
It is specially necessary if you get a bigger map
Good luck!
er, my "buy all fish from the trader" journey
That train station looks really nice!
goodbye human beings .... if youre all actually human beings
uwu
Oh so you CAN plant trees outside your farm!
Yes
Wasn't sure about this ahah
Not in grass tho
I don't think he hoe has any effect on grass
You can plant the normal trees outside the farm on the normally tillable soil
That's why it's usually advised to tapper outside the farm
To gain space in the farm
I used the quarry for tapper lol
Unless you're like me and you WANT a bunch of normal trees for the looks
Like I do in my current farm
yeah I prioritise looks over everything else
I'm probably gonna cut all the trees in my farm to replant them where I want later, so yeah tappers outside is a good idea!
it's also a great way to slow down my progress cause otherwise I'd run out of things to do in a save too quickly
On the plan I have I putted the trees in very specific places ahah
So it looks forest-y but not too much
Yeah, I went for that look as well
I won't share current cause winter makes everything look pretty terrible
But this was last day of Fall
Aaah yes I love your current layout!
Oh my God so pretty
my farm looks like this rn
oooh also you mixed two building recolor mods? I recognize the cabins from Gwen's Medieval!
THIS FARM LOOKS SO GOOD??
What's the map? o:
Yes, I made a personal mix of the Stone Cabin mod (with blue roof, of course) and Gwen's buildings
Wow, your island looks amazing!
I could never mod smaller tho
Is survival island the only minuscule farm?
I love this, definitely saving that for future saves
There's also a Garden- yeah that
I'm looking at doing a minimalist farm next round and was - yeah
it's adorable
Tytyty
tiny
It's very cute ;u;
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6949 isn't as small but also pretty cute
I'd love to try it and do a sort of.... idk.. kind of a pub with a garden??
tillable grass is what I live for
A whole restaurant propriety and all
That one... yeah I think I'll be doing that one. The tiny garden.
I've been musing in an idea for a no animal japanese minuscule farm.
Thank you ;u;
The current save will have a tea house, a bakery, probably a library/café too
That's nice!
Also nice idea Witchy!
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3733 this one is also very cool! Way bigger tho
oh and also I used to have this farm
oooooooo
I made a pub on my largest farm, cause I had (thanks to Pixel) the idea of a little sort of town
it's absolute hell to move around but so pretty...
I'd be desperate with the lack of space lmao
I decided to plant a lot of trees there, what did you guys do with yours?
@lusty agate slime farm
as you can see I stop most of my crop farming as soon as I can 😆
my farm looks like this rn
@coarse gazelle YES ISLAND
You gotta love a modded basement (it's still empty because I was built a day ago, don't judge the emptiness)
Thanks modded greenhouses then c':
lol, mine is still empty even tho it's been there for months
What's this basement? o:
i love modded basement and greenhouse island playthroughs
I use my cave as the basement cause survival island comes with an expanded 3-tier cave
Ari, it's Ace's Expanded Cellars (one of the options there)
THANK YOU! ;u;
THIS MAY BE THE BEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD

I'll see if I like it better than the one I have now o:
Also, I read something about modded GH, but I lost that line already, I'm using Pookachu's if anyone was looking for one
I shared last night but can reshare
Oh yeah it was me, commenting about the lack of space on the actual farm map c':
You can basically solve this by using a modded gigantic greenhouse
DO SLIMES DESPAWN THERE?
@drifting bobcat not that expanded
still wanna see it
Only filled half way through and the trees are not there. I've discovered it just took 2 in-game weeks for me to have a back log of processing...
it has 3 floors, one is the regular mushroom area plus a (outgoing only) minecart, one is a pond for recovering stamina, and one is an empty small room
Can you get that cave without the map?
Back log processing has been my nemesis my past 2 farms
Other question, can this cave map be replaced by the hot spring cave mod?
Can you get that cave without the map?
@red obsidian nope ;-; it's specific to the farm map cause it has two separate cave entrances, one leads to the pond floor and one leads to the minecart floor with a ladder down to the empty floor
Aah ok
Damn it ;;
Other question, can this cave map be replaced by the hot spring cave mod? :EYES:
@gloomy pine it looks pretty similar in function and amount of space
True true!
I plan to use it once I switch farm maps 😄
It's an amazing mod! And super pretty too
my farm on th 28th of spring y1, tomorrow it will be summer!
(gonna move that coop down beside the greenhouse)
still so much work to be done lol
does anyone know a good SDV youtuber
only y1 spring? wowo, very cool farm
@gloomy pine dangeorulsy funny, his 2018 videos mostl consist of funny svd modded videos
ooh okay thanks
Im on vanilla and I just hit winter so I've been planning out my farm before I continue to know what to do for winter
does anyone have any suffestions for what to put in that blank area in the bottom left
Anybody got any ideas for my Riverland Farm (Vanilla Playthrough) I want Fish Ponds and a Big Coop and Barn before Fall
Also how do you take a screenshot of your entire farm?
bottom of settings
so
jewel, place some paths down in the planner
as well as fences and grass
use the botton left area for crops
Im extremely bad with paths do you have any suggestions?
i have some farms up higher
Jewel, start with surrounding each area with path starting closest to the building/area, then work out from there and connect them
ok thank you
@coarse gazelle hmm... don't see it. I'm playing vanilla. Any chance you could send me a screenshot?
No can do right now, I'm in bed
How to get a screenshot?
There's a pinned guide on how to capture an image of your farm :)
So here's the thing I call a farm. I have a lot of open space I still need to fill in.
So nice! I love the little camping area!!
thanks
The dirt in the camping area is supposed to be grass... but the mod glitched.
It’s a mod, Kat’s Expanded Farm. I’ve been playing Stardew for a while, so I just get new farm ideas each day.
I really like a large farm, it was a long project, but I loved going with the OmniFarm mod too
I’m thinking about going symmetrical for the rest of the bottom half of the farm.
With crops or with some other thing?
yeah, pretty much
It does sound good, I always love a huge crop plot
Grass!
Grass
Doesn't it look messier?
I think it looks more natural
Not, it looks cool! And more natural, I like nature 👌
Suits the surroundings (the valley itself)
The path side seems like an organised garden you'd see in a big city yknow
both look great, i like the paved more personally though
then again my farm is covered in stone flooring
I quite like both, the natural of the grass and the brown the path adds to break up the green and the white. I'll probably keep each a while and end up choosing
It's actually 1.4 content
how do i get tea plants? D:
You need to get the cutscene with Caroline, in her sunroom
The next day she'll send the crafting recipe through the mail
I planted a couple more trees and fertilized them, I'll share in a couple in game days how it's looking
how many hearts do i need? i have 8 rn
Is there a way to put a floor thingy in the corners cause this is so unsatisfyingg
I don't think so
Which side you like better? Paved or grass?
@red obsidian
LAte tot his, but go grass. A lot of your farm is already natural anyways so it flows with the theme of it.
Which side you like better? Paved or grass?
@red obsidian I’d say paved inside and grass outside.
Yeah, I might end up going with grass, I'm first trying paved to see how I fell about it. If it's sunny next morning I'll share a mid Spring screenshot
I do think the paving is a nice break though from ALL the grass around...
The contrast from the paving makes a nice focal point, imo
I think so, too. If it where the white flooring that is already all around, it would be different, but the darker tones don't look bad at all
It's true what Jonqora said, it makes an interesting focal point. It also break up a little from the rest of the farm.
I'll go on with it for the rest of Spring, we'll see what Summer brings
Now do Tea leaves last in the winter outside?
this is my work in progress farm (not finished yet
Now do Tea leaves last in the winter outside?
@little sonnet they survive in winter but do not produce
Anybody got advice?
look around, take advice, and pay the game
pay?
They meant play.
ikikikikik
Further advice for general gameplay can be found in #stardew-valley or #stardew-spoilers , as far as designs things tend to develop the more one plays.
With your current layout I suggest thinning your pathing a little bit everywhere because it'll eventually leave your space limited to things you'll want to add later on. like sheds etc. You're off to a great start with everything fromw hat I can tell. If you're not using a chest inside your barns to store hay, you may want to consider adding another silo at least.
Keep in mind Peach and Pomagranates sell for the most when it comes to the standard fruit trees. I'd consider moving your tree tappers off farm unles you like them there for the aesthetic, and adding more lightning rods.
a three wide path mix of crystal, stepingstone, and cobble is what i use.
Yeah! They won't give me tea in winter, but I do not have to replant them
I agree with Pixel's advise, Wanky! Maybe a tiny bit less path will leave more room for more crops and buildings as you go on playing.
Next to the medium size pond (bottom right) is a good place that will fit at least the 2 silos you already have and 2 more, and is a space you can't use for much else
Also, watch the debris right close to your path, they can randomly destroy it overnight by growing more weeds
okay so i added another barn, should i add another barn or coop? also should i add another shed underneath the pumpkin? i did have one there, but i moved it next to my other one up by the house for convenience EDIT: this is spring y5 <3
hey @queen scarab whats the textures ur using?
Thanks!
Wow, I love looking at everyone’s farm designs! 😍
Thanks! this is what it looks like now!
Looks great!!
i love everything that modder makes <3
wanky, that's a good solution to the wide paths.
use them to be usefull
allthough, it would be easier to slim down on the bottom most path to add ponds
The Fact you have tiles around your fruit trees... I kind of like it tbh. I may thicken paths or something around my common trees so they don't spread as many seeds.
Much to play around with. <3
wait so even if my crops grew, could they still become giant?
if i leave them in a 3x3 square
yeah
Yeah
You can grow them normally in the ground too, they just take 24 days and grow in fall only
when it says for trees that it needs 7 or 8 tiles around it clear
can i not plant it in the greenhouse
very wip farm, spring 15 year 2
winter came and ruined everything i cleared
the walls / stationary objects in the greenhouse do not count
for the '8 tiles around need to be clear' criteria
so
a new breakhrough in slimes
you can put them in sheds
and i THINK they don't despawn
the fences do nothing
brandigan is GREAT
but he's not exacly RIGHT with those vids
nope
they do nothing
slime will still despawn
more fences do not change the despawn rate
they are usefull OUTSIDE the farm
where slimes don't despawn
but they can get OUT of the pen
@sinful raptor uh i know this is pretty belated but i was able to change that section of the wallpaper in vanilla
HOW
i rlly wanna ping u rn so you respond,,,,
how did you do thattttttt
yeah sorry but
@prisma iron
im sorry but what you did is so amazing
im on pc, maybe thats why?
hm
changing the bottom yellow part is literally impossible in vanilla cause it's not counted as part of the wallpaperable wall tho?
wait was that what they were asking about? changing the yellow part of the wall?
I think??
I'm confused now
omg it was im so sorry
i thought they were just talking about that section, not the yellow part
glad you got it sorted out fieryferret!
:>
it seems you were right since they managed to change what they wanted xD
the scarecrows placement is kind of off but my year 2 spring day 2 farm
I'm getting there! Soon it's summer and I'll start the actual plan
The house is so cute
Clean up your farm because I know you'll suffer more in front of it Sir @jolly spire
Yea spring just started
I'm doing that nwo
@willow plinth
I plan to leave some grass for the animals to graze or for hay tbh
how do you get the full farm picture?
go to options and go to the bottom then click take screanshot
Thank you!
@plush moat sorry for the ping, I looked on my tablet and I dont see that option
Well I’m talking about a pc so I don’t know if it’s there for a tablet
on tablets your options are mods (if Android) or upload.farm if not
https://upload.farm/
See the guide in the pins here for a more detailed explanation of capturing an image of your farm :)
ngl cherry trees look the best in spring
the only part that dosent look quite as good is i would say the top left
In top left the buildings in the middle look a bit randomly placed
Yeah I was just rushing ngl. I had no plan for that area :') I'll fix it-
I wish I had a pretty farm 😍
thanks to some mods allowing the trees to grow (theres a mod that adds tree fertilizer or sum-) i got this to happen.
@stoic mango I thought tree fertilizer was actually in the vanilla game.
I thought tree fertilizer was actually in the vanilla game.
it is
A little snow ain't gonna scare me away from planting.
Dat symmetry is GORGEOUS
Looks great! the fields are easy to navigate to, buildings on the outside
...Heh.
Supposed to be a perfumery/floral shop of sorts. In other words, business in the back and something pretty up front.
And at last... end of Y3 + Y3 Winter Coming up.
Greenhouse Prog. Now that i've gotten used to the layout, I like it a lot. I've gotten all standard seasonal crops planted so I may just go back and plant flowers in the remaining spots.
This is end of year Y3 Winter.
I'm now averaging 200k+ a day with minimal effort. There are barren spots in the spring/summer crop areas due to a layout change that will be taking effect in the spring to mimic the Fall quadrant. I'm still missing fruit trees that haven't unlocked for me. Some of my sheds have gotten changed. I plan to incorporate Tea into Y4 somewhere on my farm - I haven't decided where. But that'll be next to the flower shop/perfumery. I added another hops shed and another wine shed. Depending on my fruit yields I may be turning my final shed into another preserves.
Goals for Y4 involve completing my warehouse and decorating it so its not SO barren, and well lit at night. Decorating other sheds if needed. Redoing personal house in a new furniture design and the cabins.
The more and more I progress and look at my farm the more I realize that its all but done now, and i'm simply knitpicking on how to make it better / what to do. When I earn that 10mil and get my gold clock I may retire this farm and its progress. I'm shocked for how much work has been put into it in just 12 seasons alone.
Year 3 Recap.
For referencing of overall progress, here is Y1 Recap, followed by Y2 Recap.
I'm sorry if reposting these offends anyone its just neat to see it back to back all at once.
what mod are you using for the trees?
Its Flower valley, I believe.
thank you!

That is so many fucking hops... Are you going to pick those every day? That must take like 4 in game hours
Nvm more like 6
its not perfect but its mine. its also a continuous WIP

Wait ill show my one how do you show the whole farm tho
Check the pinned posts
I really need to tidy my farm, it's a whole mess
Is anyone here using immersive farm 2 remastered and could show me their farm layout as inspiration? xD
@woven pond i'm using immersive farm 2 but not the remastered one but it is very similar if you want to see mine
sure that'd be great
Immersive Farm 2 - Winter 9 year 2
@woven pond i've used the planner for mine so can figure out spacing etc. highly recommend that planner it's brilliant
thanks!
it seems like they've made it harder to make crop fields in remastered one lol
or at least in my experience most of the areas are 1 block too big for sprinklers
anyone got some basement designs?
it's 1 block too big on remastered too. i'm going to use the seasonal plants for decoration to make it look better without gaps everywhere
ah yeah thats a good idea
i wish i could render plans using modded maps
I hate how junimo huts cant plant crops. I was trying out a 4 hut design, but it was not reasonable to hoe plant and water that much in one day
what is the mod?
better junimos
ok thanks
have gotten a bit further along but im blanking on what to do with the empty spaces
you could grow tree farms
i cant see any
in the lower right corner you could put..... hm
<you could put a mushroom tree farm? just a peaceful area?>
i was gonna use the lower right for my tree stuff
i think they need dirt to grow, hold on
i mean it is dirt
on my playthrough i could plant crops in the grass areas
so i would assume tree will too
u might be thinking of tall grass not allowing trees
but the short grass should allow trees
oh yeah normal trees can grow on short grass
What your charscter Ferret?
does anyone have any storage shed inspiration? i’m struggling with sorting my chests out :(
I use Workbench
im still struggling to figure out what to do with the empty spaces
bottom untillable area could be saved for wizard buildings?
What your charscter Ferret?
@boreal root my character? on stardew?
well, on stardew, my character's on year 11.
my discord profile picture is Pabu, the fire ferret from Legend of Korra.
some, some
haikyuu
thats about it ;-;
why u ask?
also my profile pic isnt the original pabu i added a hat
my farm at spring
my farm at summer
both year 2 and very wip
i need to get rid of all that grass
How much hay will you get from that. You will be able to feed the entire world population for years
lol you should see the Immersive Farm for SVE. I think it’s enough grass to fill like 5 silos if not, more.
i think im done planning this one
the rest of the empty space can be for whatever 1.5 brings
@coarse gazelle what map was this?
Dense farms are the Astetic
yeah my first farm was 4 corners, but then i modded the forest farm, but i love all of the water in this one
