Oh that looks nice, I like the weathered floor with the stepping stone
thank you
You can, if you wanted, to move the trees 1 tile in, they'd still grow
Time for crops!
You should also leave some rooms for sheds to put preserves and kegs
Will you want to build ||junimo huts|| late in game?
None really... They harvest your crops for you
You sure?
About the harvesting? Yes. About no downsides? In my opinion they're good. They're also cute.
does it give you exp?
No, but also by the time you unlock them, it's quite likely you already are maxed on Farming skill
Okay
They are not early game
do they get rid of multiple harvest crops like strawberries?
Yeah, they harvest multiple harvest and single harvest both
Good
They also get the tea bushes
do they destroy the multiharvest ones?
No, they don't destroy them, they just harvest every single time they're ready
I'd say one to the left of the pond, and two above?
Sure, still here
Yeah, that looks good
Now what
With your tree, idea, how about
Where?
What
the two fields on the left, leave them like that
Okay?
The field right above the pond, move to the left so you put the row of trees you designed right up there, that's really good looking
I need to wrap this up
can you save this and then just
paste it and and keep working?
this one?
Save it somewhere and you can pick up where you left off any time
That button yes
Now what?
in the link bar?
Save that complete link
just save it?
You're welcome! I hope I helped a bit

Sure! See you around!
Cya
Goodnight!
can someone please help me how to do a layout at the Forest farm pls?
search up "forest in: farm-designs", this chat has a lot of those
i can send mine
but it's not "optimal" and honestly i'm getting tired of the way it looks
when i get home im going to change some things around
the only part i like are the animal areas, and the fish pond area, and below the sheds
the rest feels toooo symmetrical
that looks really nice! i love the amount of trees and grass
Ty
When I get home ill make changes, finish winter and then send another pic, idk what I'll change by then
i can send mine
@torn pebble Nice farm design
@red obsidian If you want to help me design my farm, just dm me
Can i see some efficient farm designs for standard layout? I need some inspiration for my farm. Newbie here
how do i take a screenshot of my whole farm?
There's a guide in the pins! @vagrant grail
Thanks
That does look nice, but that's like nothing in terms of crops
seriously? is it so bad?
No, it's not bad. It's just not my style. Sorry for not being clear.
I'm very crop-heavy when I play and fishing takes a backseat when I get everything. You're free to enjoy it - it just contradicts my playstyle, is all
That's not nearly enough grass for the animals ..
And too many barns and coops. That grass would be gone in a day. You'd have to regenerate it daily.
i tried
that piece of dirt in front of grandpa's shrine is filled with tea plants
I can't tell if you have a space between the junimo hut entrances and the scarecrows, but if not you'll need one. And if those cabins are for other people, they may not like having their front yard filled with silos :P
Otherwise that looks good!
I can't tell if you have a space between the junimo hut entrances and the scarecrows, but if not you'll need one. And if those cabins are for other people, they may not like having their front yard filled with silos π
Otherwise that looks good!
@night eagle it's just for inviting my friends for a tour in my farm lol
Ah ok, that wouldn't be a problem then :)
im going to move the scarecrows so
try storing all the hay in a chest
if you right click the feeder you can take it out
i've filled it with Q. Sprinklers because the iridium one don't fit properly
i did some changes
most simple farm of stardew valley
heck yeah
24-25 of summer
year 1
i've used a bug to become millionaire
"millionaire"
630k
total
i tried
some hardwood still will spawn
me?
ok
I like the patterns around the sprinklers
I would replace the 2 ponds that the junimos can reach with 2 sprinklers tho
6 ponds is still a good number
It may be a little heavier on animal building than I'd go for, but that's just personal taste
I've never really been able to make a good farm and such but I think I may be getting somewhere :3
It is good, but this hurts my eyes...
Oh same
It's killing me
But that's the extent of the junimo's range I think
I mostly use it for my plants that regrow
Like blueberries and stuff
It has a range of 8 tiles from the door, so it's ok to make it a full 5x5 on the bottom side too
@deft reef your house is really nice! i like what you did in the top left room, looks cosy
Thank you!!!!
I tried to look at what other people did
It feels a bit empty in other places but Iβm working on it
Cute! I really like how the dark/purple theme is sprinkled through out
thank you
wait hows there a butterfly indoors?
mhm
i thought it was just decoration, (i mean i guess it still is) but thats cool !
it is

Alright kiddos, starting work on my Ultimate (modded) farm lol. The goal shall be equal parts aesthetic, equal parts practical. Wish me luck
gl!
Hakuna help me make my first farm design.
that farm looks pretty nice
Thanks
I moved the farms. I'm hoping I did it right and that the Junimo's can reach everything
@blissful ridge the sprinklers on the left feel out of place and a bit odd, and the trees being fenced in looks weird, other than that it looks great, nice job
Hakuna help me make my first farm design.
@blissful ridge
I love everything about this!
I too am also not sure about the lone sprinklers there on the far left but I trust you have a plan!
Perhaps make a smol stone path to the mill amidst the grass?
I would also add pathing to cindersnap forest like you did toward the mountains.
A question about your fruit trees : there are 6 kinds and I know you have greenhouse but what are you planning for those 8 slots you have?
And do you play modded?
Looking forward to the in game progress. π
And dont forget to put tiles under your sprinklers in game so you dont hoe themup!
I have finally got to finishing OmniFarm
I've achieved what I set out to in this run, and also the farm is fully ready
Zoom into the little mushroom trees area
And zoom into the small village top right (credits for the idea go to @little sonnet )
Clock-wise from the cave entrance: Bar (Shed) - Seafood restaurant with it's own street stall (Shed and stall) - Flower shop (Shed) - Tea house (Cabin)
What are some of the best floors you can use as main roads in the farm
Also, floors that can generate 'diagonally' like cobblestone
Oh that singular junimo hut is such a nice little treat Hakuna oh my word.
The whole farm is BEAUTIFUL.
@red obsidian

What are some of the best floors you can use as main roads in the farm
@pearl dove imo the best floors are cobblestone and stepping stone. They both not only look better when turning or going diagonally and also look less of a chunk that covers the whole thing
There also is one just like cobblestone but colored
I'm making a circular path so the hard edges need to be obscured to look good
The crystal path it is, they work the same as a regular cobblestone path
Yep

@red obsidian Your farm is so good??? What mod do you use? o:
Also.. I found this plan for a future farm I did, can't wait to have the time to fix my game, put my mods back and do that!
even tho... do we have a date for the next update? Because I could always wait until it's update, to avoid mods being broken in a short time-
Also this plan doesn't show the actual look of my game, I have many aesthetic mods ahah
Hi Arinyl, thanks!
The mod I used for the map is called OmniFarm
There's no date for 1.5 yet, so it's not clear how long you'd have to wait
I see! And do you have other mods to add those lil details or is it on the omnifarm already?
Like this tori gate for example
Yes, the buildings are recolored with the blue roof option of https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3163
And the tori gate and other japanese details are from https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6314
And the little pic nic areas here and there are from https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4813
Your plan looks nice, it's a lot of open space, it's nice that the farm is not as loaded with stuff
Are you modding your floors too? If not, I'd recommend changing the wood floors for the weathered ones (only personal opinion, for wood I find them nicer and less yellow)
I don't remember if I have a mod for the floor, but I can totally take suggestions!
Yeah, I find the regular wood flooring a bit too yellow, that's why I usually go for the weathered one if I do put that floor down
For the rest, I think it's very nice. Normally my farms have more stuff in them, but I find yours really pretty.
The only thing feels a bit out of place may be the gold clock?
Well as I said, every building will look very different
I'll use the Medieval mod
And a general recolor too
Aah yeah, the recolores change that a lot, that's true
Looking forward to seeing the in-game screenshot
So extremely yellow, indeed. I use eemie's recolor
Eemie's mods are π
Well Ignacio, "behind" in this game is quite relative... so don't worry!
I think that for the extend of your farm so far, this is good, everything is close to the farmhouse, which is really practical
My only suggestion really, would be a bigger space for the animals, maybe extend the pen a bit (specially when you get the barn, if you get pigs, more space is always better)
(This is not my own!) Just saw this in reddit's Farms of SDV and had to share here. Such a smart way to keep grass reproducing all the time... You open one gate at a time.. Might use this one!
Wow, I love that idea!
@red obsidian First of all, thanks for answering me, the initiative of this thread is very much appreciated.
About your suggestion of the pen and space. You're right, it's just a makeshift area for when I have more space. But I assure you I've been thinking about it. And thank you for writing me. π
(This is not my own!) Just saw this in reddit's Farms of SDV and had to share here. Such a smart way to keep grass reproducing all the time... You open one gate at a time.. Might use this one!
@red obsidian Lol, I will use this mechanic. xD
@devout needle you're welcome! I also think this channel is great for sharing, getting advice and inspiration hehe.. I'm sure your farm will grow big and awesome!
Wow, I love that idea!
Ikr? I had to share this. First time I see it and I think it's super smart.
@red obsidian Do you usually participate and share more ideas because of this thread? Because I suddenly wanted to see more ideas
xD
It sounds cool!
I have some layouts I normally share, if you want some late game ideas you can dm me
(or ask here as well, it's allright)
Ok!
Does anybody remember which was the mod that lets grass starters grow in the green parts of the farm?
Nevermind, just found it in Nexus
Haha
hello guys
Oh I didn't realize it didn't grow there
I kinda just replant it
Because I'm inpatient
Hi there
Yeah Kylie, it doesn't
There's a mod that makes it
I was looking for it and luckily found it
I might plan a forest farm. It's good to see you here to ask, is it ok if I use your pond idea in my farm? The rest is completely different also
(This is not my own!) Just saw this in reddit's Farms of SDV and had to share here. Such a smart way to keep grass reproducing all the time... You open one gate at a time.. Might use this one!
@red obsidian wow this is brilliant!! gotta set it up on my farm ASAP lol thank you for sharing!
How do you guys incorporate circular paths (vanilla)
I might plan a forest farm. It's good to see you here to ask, is it ok if I use your pond idea in my farm? The rest is completely different also
@red obsidian yeah sure, The fish ponds?
Or something else I didn't realize I did
Or something else I didn't realize I did
Or something else I didn't realize I did
Tf
Lag
Pls use wi
yeah sure, The fish ponds?
@torn pebble exactly, the fish pond spot on top of the big farm pond, with the grass and trees
How do you guys incorporate circular paths (vanilla)
@pearl dove For paths to look circular, like in some of the farms that were shared, it just the placement of the flooring in a way that looks round. I'm not sure if I understood your question right?
I mean, cobblestone path looks good for round paths since there are diagonal textures. Although hard paths like stone floor, weathered floor will have that box texture at edges
And yeah, I do use Pixel Circle generators
How many tiles is the greenhouse interior planting area of IF2R
15x15
The green house would be way to op like that
Unless you had to upgrade it for like a mil
How many tiles is the greenhouse interior planting area of IF2R
@late viper @opaque rampart the greenhouse plot is bot 15x15, that is a modded greenhouse. Vanilla is 12x10 tillable plots.
Also vanilla doesnt have the squares for the trees. That's certainly a mod on the gh
@opaque rampart is that even posible? I'm new to the game hehe
The question was specifically about the IF2R mod
I mean, cobblestone path looks good for round paths since there are diagonal textures. Although hard paths like stone floor, weathered floor will have that box texture at edges
@pearl dove yeah, the ones that look better for it are cobblestone path, crystal path (like cobblestone but colored, not the crystal floor) and stepping stone path
The question was specifically about the IF2R mod
@opaque rampart you're right! My bad
I guess I'll just try to obscure the circle edges with tea shrubs and trees to direct the attention away
@opaque rampart @red obsidian thanks guys
Hello is there a website for best sdv farm design?
"Best" is highly debatable cuz we all have our different preferences
you should check r/FarmsofStardewValley
a lot of very pretty farms there
And you can also check them by farm type in the reddit soly mentioned
Thank you
can anyone help me doing a wilderness farm layout?
I'm trying to build a small tea garden, but for some reason I can't plant the bushes on certain spots (Woodland Farm). I can however plant regular trees with no problem. Why is this happening?
To better illustrate, here's the same spot during the day.
@empty pebble use tea saplings as animal fences bruh
Not part of my plan currently, but I'll take it under advisement.
it isn't that ugly, i've already made this
also, tea saplings never get rotten and give you some money at the end of the season!
Γ
Either way, I have my plan, and all I'd like to know is why I can't plant it on a seemingly arbitrary spot.
tea saplings can't be planted in non-tillable soil.
from what ik 'bout SDV tea cannot be planted at non-tillable soil
It can, if you look at the first screenshot I shared it shows a bunch planted on the green grassy area.
then idk
Trees and crops don't work the same
right so the forest farm (and green "meadow" tiles in general) is freaking weird
That you can plant a tree it doesn't necesarily mean you can plant crops/tea saplings
*can anyone help me doing a layout at wilderness farm?
If you're on pc I'd recommend modding
in general, expect not to be able to plant anything that grows on a "border" tile (eg. the tile between the green meadows and the tillable soil)
*can anyone help me doing a layout at wilderness farm?
@sterile carbon if you have something to go off of, I can help later, after work time
k then
also, some of the green meadow tiles just don't accept planted things like trees.
If that's ok with you, I'll ping you when I'm able to get my hands on the planner
without rhyme, reason, or pattern, it just is
I'm told specific meadow tiles don't spawn forage, it may be those
@red obsidian ima ping ya if i finish it
Okie!
thanks!
Well, I just had to shift everything more eastward and it's fine now.
It looks good there too, it's cohesive with the shed entrance as well. Cute little spot for the tea
seems cute
also, don't keg your tea
pickle it
it's more worth it
it's considered as a vegetal
Thanks, and I agree, may have been for the best. I'll have to shift the pond down a bit so I can squeeze between it and the garden.
Takes a lot longer tho to pickle it
3 days
Vs 3 hours
I'll likely still brew it into tea. I'm rather partial to tea, put it that way.
I'm not as profit oriented as other people (others could tell you more accurately), but it's not even double to money for way over 3 times the processing time
I'm also partial to liking tea as well!
Considering the amount of dough one rolls in eventually, it hardly matters. :p
I guess it depends how much you have in your hands to process also
If you can free your machines for more processing in 3 hours instead of 3 days, I'm all for it
But this might be a better chat for #stardew-spoilers
We went a bit sideways lol
Tangents are so easy to fall down.
SVE's immersive farm:
SVE's immersive farm:
@opaque rampart nice farm
So many giant crops
I let them stand there the whole season to see how many I can get π
It's the last day of the season now
welp. 20 g. caulis is a good amount for spring, i guess
i wish there was another giant crops like a giant tea or a giant strawberry
Giant strawberry exists in the form of a mod only, but yeah, would be nice
wait it exists?
I've seen 2 mods, one that gives new giant crop options and one that gives giant flower crops
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5263 is the framework for the following to work, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5221 is the actual giant crop mod, and https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6653 is the giant flower mod
that farm is 0/10, didnt mod the pet to be Rajah
that farm is 0/10, didnt mod the pet to be Rajah
@obtuse patio LOL I tried!
Cat is too small tho
U.F. don't upload the tea saplings, but i've used those for that fence lol
if you want to edit it, here is the link: https://stardew.info/planner/21-interesting-gerbils-whimpered-cordially/

What is more urgent for me? Building a stable, upgrading the pen to have an incubator, or a stall for the horse?
What is more urgent for me? Building a stable, upgrading the pen to have an incubator, or a stall for the horse?
@devout needle horse
if you want mobility, stable, if you want PROFIT do the big coop for incubater @devout needle
Thanks. π
Hey @sterile carbon, I'm finally off work, I'm checking that wilderness layout. Give me a bit and I'll see if more crops can be fit in here
I've got a layout for you
@sterile carbon I've been able to increase crop count from 294 to 446 and the beehives from 30 to 34 (this you could still add more of). Amount of buildings has not been changed. Lightining rods from 13 to 58, as well, but you could choose not to put all of those up, of course
Here's a pic
Here's the link
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Let me know what you think
Also, every crop is in range of the junimos
and you'll need less bars of things, using the iridium
instead of so many more quality (from 37 down to 19)
Just noticed a misplaced sprinkler, hold on
Correct crops 432
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Hey @red obsidian
Oh, I'm pretty good, I almost made it through Journey of the Prairie King for the first time. xD
Ooh awesome!
But I didn't get it.

xD
@sterile carbon I've been able to increase crop count from 294 to 446 and the beehives from 30 to 34 (this you could still add more of). Amount of buildings has not been changed. Lightining rods from 13 to 58, as well, but you could choose not to put all of those up, of course
@red obsidian sorry, i was offline and I absolutely LOVE it! thanks so much!

I'm glad you like it!
I found the trick with that map was to separate some of the building of the same type. Also keeping the animal pens a weirder shape, saves the "squarer" spots for the crop plots.
Was a challenge but I enjoyed it
How do yaβll have time to harvest, replant, sell, collect etc and still have time to visit desert, fish, mine, socialise with NPCs
The bigger I make my farm the more running around I have to do and its middaay before I am done with my daily maintenance
my current layout, planning to put more fish ponds and sheds by the top. cant wait to see how it ends up in a little while
year 2 winter btw
my current layout, planning to put more fish ponds and sheds by the top. cant wait to see how it ends up in a little while
@kindred rampart please remove that tapped trees, plant them at the desert. also, like 1 more coop and 3 new barns would encrease your profit, try building one more shed, and also, make like ~8 fish ponds
they're worth it.
will do
ok
try doing like: one big shed for kegs, other to preserves jar, other to animal resources like mayo M. C. Press, loom and Oil M. also, i could fit 34 of those that i've said
in only one (big) shed
if it can fit another shed, better yet! place like furnaces, charcoal kilns, seed makers and recyling machines
@kindred rampart
thats what im going for
first is storage and some preserves jars
next is kegs
eventually i will have all of those
i appreciate all the help
my current layout, planning to put more fish ponds and sheds by the top. cant wait to see how it ends up in a little while
@kindred rampart
Its looking good for year 2!
You have a lot of scarecrows, but that many doesn't hurt to have.
I would recommend moving your tappers off the farm eventually.
Fish ponds, on the contrary, do not yield a lot of profit and take up One Iridium Sprinkler worth of space. I usually make one just for the sturgeon caviar and don't fiddle with it.
I see that you have enough room for 2-3 junimo huts in your current farm. I'd grow starfruit in your greenhouse and start working toward that. They'll help a lot with your daily maintenance by harvesting your crops for you.
A junimo hut covers a 3 x 3 area of iridium sprinklers. so in reference X is sprinklers and J is the junimo hut:
X J X
Consider storing your mayonnaise machines and cheese presses in their respective buildings. It'll cut down on farm clutter until you can store them in a shed or something if you desire and give your pigs more room for truffle-hunting.
Speaking of - coops/barns won't do you much good unless you're artisan in skill so I wouldn't do too many of them unless you go that route.
how it is going?
Woah, it looks good
@kindred rampart I agree with Pixel on the ponds and animal buildings. Even with Artisan, dedicating the same space to crops does give more money. I usually tend to go with 2 of each, maybe 3 ponds if the space is good. But then I think it depends on how many animal goods you want to produce as well. Agreeing also with Pixel and Nilo to moving tappers out!
@sterile carbon I like the look of this. I would though maybe move the ponds to the house corner, since that quarter is quite good for crops.
The animal quarter can fit a shed each if you move the trees, as well
Aah ok, then I don't think they'll fit
Then scratch my comment out, the bottom corner is best for that amount of fish ponds, definitely
@red obsidian is it better now?
322 space for crops
at the fences, i put tea bush
https://stardew.info/planner/17-fine-weasels-whimpered-easily/ here's the link
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
The tea bushes as fences are a great idea, and it fits a nice amount of crops as well!
I can check out the link later if you want (about the same time as yesterday) and see if moving stuff around helps you out, but only if you want me to
thank you for the help guys, massively appreciate it
we're here to help!
I can check out the link later if you want (about the same time as yesterday) and see if moving stuff around helps you out, but only if you want me to
@red obsidian ok
yes
i have quite a lot of experience in stardew valley but im still not the best builder
Ok! This are just suggestions of what I would do.. but farm layouts are in part just personal taste
I like that your farm is very crop heavy, I'm also a fan of tons of crops
On your animal building, I would actually fence those, over the crop areas. Keeping the animals in a given space makes it easier to tend to them.
I also feel that your bottom right corner has a lot of space that can be used for other stuff. The footprint of just 12 regular trees is a bit large. You can put tapper on trees outside your farm, which is quite recommended. I also use trees to decorate here and there within the farm and put tappers on those if you don't wanna have to walk out to collect their produce
And my last suggestion would be to move the 2 sheds that are in front of the house to the left side of the bottom left corner (which is currently empty) and that will allow you to expand your crop space there
(Sorry for the length, it's actually not so many changes I suggested)
Thanks this is really helpful!
Any time!
In addition if this is a multiplayer farm I recommend putting the stables closer to their respective homes for ease of access. Daily farm chores go by quicker when you dont have to travel across the farm for a speed boost! π
ok cool will do
The farm layout overall is super duper pretty. I like that you have your fruit trees scattered. Instead of norm trees, if you wanted, you could put them in the bottom right corner and make a proper orchard?
I have concerns about the junimo huts in the bottom left being in the other side of the fence. While it is pretty make sure to leave a space for the junimos to walk and collect your crops. I'm not sure if you did. My vision on mobile is limited.
Dont forget about the use of lightning rods! They keep lightning from striking your trees and crops and give you batteries.
Other than that Hakuna pretty much took what else I had to say. π
One thing I did JUST notice is the lack of obelisks. Obelisks help you travel faster in the game and I'd recommend factoring them into your planner. Keep the desert one by your house, perhaps, and you could scatter the rest accordingly if you wanted.
i totally forgot about lighting rods and i did leave space for the junimos but an orchard isn't a bad idea i asked my friends what was ther fav fruit that grew on trees accordingly
And perhaps one more silo for good measure so you dont have to refill AS often between your barn and coop. 240 hay is one silo and 1 barn and 1 coop is 24 pieces of hay a day at full capacity. Youd have to refill your silo every 10 days!
Best sellers are peach and pomegranate of the whole selection if it helps to know. π
They're both the same price but each grow in a diff season.
yes i know but this is all helpful i will put the finished product in chat later
i made this a couple of days ago and was planing on making it with my friends
@mint dew any other coops? barns? fish ponds?
I am moving forward little by little
Yeah, to me is good
it's at U.F.
I am moving forward little by little
@devout needle You got a mushroom tree!
@sterile carbon are you giving each player 2 trees of each type to tapper?
@devout needle You got a mushroom tree!
@red obsidian Yeah, now what doing with that?
If you chop the normal trees around it, it starts reproducing. You can tapper it to get mushrooms from the tappers, and you can also use it for decoration, because they look nice and are a rare event to get
Oh, thx. π
@sterile carbon I only moved some things around and was able to fit the iridium sprinkler you were patching with some quality and regular from one of the junimo huts, take a look: https://stardew.info/planner/5-fast-snails-walked-merrily/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Farmhouse corner: before
Farmhouse corner: after
ohhh nice
Also, the bottom fish pond corner was giving me a bit of a headache, I came up with this suggestion
Fish pond corner: before (17 ponds)
Fish pond corner: after (still 17 ponds, all of them accessible, as well as the little path to the south exit)
Much better
Link with the ponds updated: https://stardew.info/planner/17-close-cattle-knitted-merrily/
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
@sterile carbon are you giving each player 2 trees of each type to tapper?
@red obsidian yes.
ok then
this shed was supposed to be with like, M. M, C.P, looms and O.M.
The one moved to the top left corner?
bruh i've already did it

I literally moved the same buildings and indicators around into a layout that looked a bit less cluttered to my eye and allowed not having a shed on top of potential crop space
Did not mess with the amount of buildings you wanted
You're welcome!
i'm just wondering where couldi place 1 more shed
1 more shed... lemme see if possible
nvm i found a good place
@red obsidian
lol
Yβall love the four corners farm way too much
Lmao, I've never used the 4 corners farm yet
4 Corners is a lovely farm setup for sure. It has some of the biggest tilespace over all the current maps.
planning to add sheds on the top later (and maybe a slime hutch for fun) but a bit low on wood/stone rn from building other stuff
strawberries and green beans(for food, hotpots) planted rn
will move fish ponds too to above the pond
What do you think of my farm ? ( not finished )
I plan to add crops near of the water well but I don't know what to put at the left of the well area
personally i wouldnt tap trees on the farm but if you like the look thats all good!
for left crops id maybe add something you can make food out of (green beans, red cabbage + radish, hot peppers, etc.) since you wont need to buy food (if you are). you could also grow hops and become a winery, although that is pretty grueling since they bloom each day. it makes a ton of money, though.
it looks great, though! i like the layout and the way you have things set up
Thank you for the advices :)
The shed area is super cute!
I think the farm looks sick
Your pigs are a bit cramped for space though, you're probably losing truffle production that way depending on how many pigs you have in each barn.
I like the paths around the well a lot
As in really good
Oh, I did not know this expression^^
Thank you !
Pigs at max hearts should be finding an average of 3 truffles per day. So you can use that as your benchmark for measuring truffle production.
So if you have a barn full of pigs, you should be finding around 36 truffles per day from it (sometimes less, sometimes more)
If you consistently find less truffles than that, it's a sign your pigs need more space.
Ok, i will probably switch the coop and my barn
can you add a photo of a current farm to use in the planner?
To like build off of it or no?
thank you!
Can people who have the forest farm post their layouts- need inspoβΉοΈ
Have no clue what I should do with my open spaces...any suggestions?
maybe move the coops to the lower left so your animals have more grazing space and the pigs more truffle digging space?
tbh after moving the coops away they'd have more than needed so you could fill some of that with trees for example
This empty field without sprinkler in the right would be for giant 3x3 crops. Any ideas?
And yes, I know that the space outside the corral is too small, I will find a place for it.
Nice farm Nacho!
Anyways, how do I take a picture of my whole farm? I know I've done it before, its just been a while
At the very bottom of the settings menu
Oh yeah!!!
Thanks for the refresher
Now, before you say anything, yes every year I put down a fresh layer of grass. Its painful.
But I am also going to get another jumino hut or two pretty quickly so I'll redo the screenshot when I have those down and stuff. Otherwise, any way I can improve this??
Well, I don't see a reason the barn grass pen can't be expanded to reach the bottom of the map
Then you could add a couple more barns there
Oh yeah!!
The plot with the fruit trees looks pretty bare, maybe you could plant some more of them?
Hmm, do you use mods?
give yourself a bigger orchard unless those are in the green house
do you tap trees for resin and sap?
Because if you did I'd use a mod to move the trees a bit further apart so you could fit a fish pond in between, I think that would look cool!
I think I only have the one tree thats tapped.
Or if you don't use mods you can still destroy the fruit trees and plant them again in the new spots
I assume the big grass place to the left of your field is where you'll put the new field when you get more junimos?
Mhm
You could make a path around the lake and out through the lower exit, with some trees right next to the lake as decor
The trees don't have to be just decorative ofc, tappers ftw
Oooo
At the very lower left corner, maybe more fish ponds?
mhm
And anywhere with empty spots left: S H E D S
Haha, I always get sheds but for some reason never use them and I hate it
I really want to use the shed
sheds*
Well you could put a shed where all those chests are standing and move them inside :P
Ooohh yeahhh

@austere urchin G R A S S
If you use mods I would recommend the winter grass mod for that
It's wintery.

made a few upgrades from the last time i posted. was wondering what to do with the extra space i have on the left
top is probably going to be sheds btw
idk yet
(takes notes on optimal Junimo config)
i mean if i did it optimally id grow less and lose 3 iridium sprinklers on the right
so i settled for this
eventually ill fix it but for now
@kindred rampart maybe a tree farm/orchard? fish ponds?
a slime hutch is always a good space filler
slime hutch sounds cool
i have 18 peach trees in the gh and more at the desert to save space
but ill try to get the sc ring
idk if it's worth it saving space if you already have space you don't know what to do with, might as well fill it up
@late shore
oh i see ur relatively early game
wait wat
I'm Fall Year 2.
oh
I'm behind, I know.
well i could still consider it early game
early/late/mid game doesnt matter what time ur at
That's good
It's messy to me, sorry.
while messsy, a farm with no structure is really fun to play on
no paths is a really unique choice
and it's very unique, and keeps the appeal of the game
Why is there just a well in the middle of the walkway to all the buildings on the left
Probably there for future plans
How do you guys get an image of your farms like that? Lol
Bottom of options
Ohh ok thanks
Also quick question, you know how for the forest farm layout thereβs 2 patches of grass on the left where the stumps are? Any ideas for what I can put there?
grow flowers there
Ok thanks!

@empty agate sheds or fish ponds maybe
Any tips to make this look a little better?
maybe add walkways?
Paths, trees
some trees?
oh okay! thanks!
I really like stone paths, but you can also buy flooring recipes from places to get different looks.
I like doing cobblestone surrounded by stepping stones
this is what i have planned so far, but i have no idea what to put at the top
Flower garden?
flowers around grandpa's memorial area
really like your fishing pond area btw
you could add a wishing well as like a centerpiece or something to a garden, I can't see any beehives, maybe throw a few into a garden as well to get the different honeys
yw!
@empty agate sheds or fish ponds maybe
@opaque rampart thanks!
100% legit...
how tf do you have that many statues but your farm looks like that.. no offense but like spend a couple mil on paths, or plants, or a gold clock
lol
wait are those kegs? the picture is low quality i cant tell
i doubt thats legit, i mean look at your farm dude
their inventory
and thart
you made a couple hundred million with a farm like that, and no galaxy sword?
what did you do
Cheat...
Im... gonna message the bouncer...
yeah i know that, i want to see what they have to say
hmmm...
@twilit prairie cheat all you want but don't act like your legit
im joking bro
i already said public that im cheating
"cheating"
cause its a glitch
the famous chest glitch.
oh i didnt read in #stardew-spoilers
Well exploiting those things is cheating
ah
and for the guy that speaked portuguese
you can just speak english language here.
how do you screenshot ur farm
settings at the bottom
it got spicy in here
Has anyone got any helpful designs I just made a new world standard farm
you can just scroll up and look at some designs
r/farmsofstardewvalley
this is what i have planned so far, but i have no idea what to put at the top
@frozen eagle ayy u r a hq fan
My forest/foraging farm design
I think it's very pretty
I've made a few adjustments in-game, but this is basically the gist of it
I love the little shed with its own sort of backyard between the two big crop areas
The design of those crop areas (without the pathing) I've used myself in a layout a while back
It was for a different farm map, but I think it suits the forest farm really nicely
The village at the bottom left is very cute!
However, unless you mod the building, the hutch sticks out a bit to me.. It doesn't quite match with the rest of the pretty farm
1 or 2? Or do you guys have any other ideas?
2
I usally go for 2
Ok, thanks!
I'd go for 1 for more crop space, but 2 is fine most def
1 or 2? Or do you guys have any other ideas?
@magic merlin I'd go for 1
What do you guys think?
i like it a lot
and also, @red obsidian helped me a lot, they remastered this layout, so i did some changes.
basically, i did it, they remastered it, then i did some changes
Oh wow, how you guys do that? (sorry, im new at this, i just downloaded the game yesterday)
@gloomy pine we can pass the layout to each other or making it with the https://stardew.info/planner
Thanks Nilo for crediting me
Haha that's pretty much what happened, you has an initial layout, I made some changes to it and finally you applied some new changes
Melissa, there's a planner site that allows you to place your buildings and everything around. Like Nilo said, that work you do can be saved and shared, I don't know if that's what you asked
In case you wanna go for it and need any help, I'm ok being pinged or dm'ed (does being "dm'ed" even exist? π )
Whats the top left secrion at grandpas shrine for?
I just paved it with crystal rocks because it's pretty: I'm gonna put the cat statues there
looks good π is 5 silos necessary?
I don't like worrying about whether my animals have food and consistently forget to feed them in winter, so probably. >.>;;
Auto feeders, never forget again.
@violet pecan I love all the pasture land for your animals, that's super cute
And keeping all grass confined to those areas is smart, with any luck it will make their pathing AI cooperate well and they'll never have reason to wander elsewhere. You probably won't even need gates!
It's a bad shape for pmuch anything else, so they can have it :D
But I do like to give a large chunk of land to my animals even in the vanilla farm
They need the grass :O
(ooh, I just spotted the small patches of grass around the greenhouse though. I guess they might divert and munch on those if allowed)
If I forget to close the gate, maybe
Oh I'm using the Japanese building on a remodel and oh my the obelisks are SO pretty
pretty good
It's looking good
I only wonder, if you have a shed, why are your processing machines outside?
Oooh hoarder shed
yeah also kegs and preserves
;-;
you'll get there!
Yeah... I also almost complete the Community Center
Great!
I need a place to Crystalarium...
Yeah that too, maybe half the shed you use for the furnaces?
Maybe you don't need to fill an entire shed of furnaces
Oh, that's a good idea, thanks
yw!
I rescued a forest farm I had abandoned
I was ugly and the shape had no match with the farm itself
I went for a complete remodel, plus the Japanese buildings
Credit for the fish pond area goes to Kylie and credit for the idea of a little shed between the crop areas goes to Hexmoth! I also used the same sprinkler layout than the flower patch in Omnifarm (that I've shared all it's development for a while)
(The very depressing) Before
After
Japanese look mods:
that looks really nice! the japanese styled buildings really fit with it
Thanks bean
Yeah, I think the look of those buildings is perfect for the forest farm, it looks so good in it
that looks really nice! the japanese styled buildings really fit with it
.Same!
I love the design! And the Japanese style buildings are even prettier!
new farm~ dunno if I ever posted it here o:
Oh wow! That's a nice map
@red obsidian your Japanese farm is just
Thanks!
nice

Congrats!
Almost all retexture mods are perfectly android compatible
Y4 and I decided I wanna completely re-do my farm, how is it looking so far? π give tips too
also here is what I have planned for the future π I know there are planners but paint was easier to use π
Wow 2 meteors!
I think it's looking good so far, you still have many undefined areas
I would suggest swapping the sheds to some of the tbd areas and make your animal pen a bit wider. So pigs find more truffles and your grass lasts a little longer
Tbd are next to the house could be for the obelisks and/or a little chilling are with some trees a campfire and some logs
Also below the animal pen I see bee houses, remember to clear up some space for a few flowers
My greenhouse now, the machines are more than references to see where I was going to plant the fruit trees.
The upside is to banana tree, in the Update 1.5
Yobi, the Junimo hut won't cover all that space if you put it in the center of your 5 x 3 space. it only covers a 3 x 3 section.
Just a small note. Looking great, everyone!
Yobi, the Junimo hut won't cover all that space if you put it in the center of your 5 x 3 space. it only covers a 3 x 3 section.
@little sonnet Hmm...
As a solution, you can add another column and then have 2 junimo huts.
if u care more to moni, do another 4 columns, @devout needle
does anyone know how to screenshot the whole farm on switch?
should be in the settings? or is it different on switch
There's a screenshot button in settings but it only screenshots the screen, not the farm
and I can't zoom out enough to show the whole farm
@devout needle In my farm i could fit 9 collumns, here's the print
sorry for waiting
so it's not possible
@wise lantern Actually that button does capture the full farm! It captures the entire map of whatever area you're currently in :)
can I put images of interiors here?
Proposed Ultimate Farm endgame-ish layout. Not 110% sure on everything, any tips appreciated :)
We all have a lot of trouble not fainting at 2 am lol, so that's why I kept all cabins at the top. Otherwise I'd spread them out, 1 in each corner. Hmmm
:o epic
!! I've never seen the full map!!
does this looks good?
Looks amazing
I like it
don't be too harsh ;;
I used the planner for this because I'm not far in the game yet, literally only year 1. And uh, I'm focusing more on the aesthetic nature parts rather than efficiency. I designed it with some romantic scenery in mind as I'm in an ldr. β€οΈ Not really sure what to do with the top left corner.
I thought you had no crops area at all lol. as for the empty area, I was thinking that you'd probably have more sheds or fish ponds in the future so they can go there. or maybe move the cabin there or near the bottom lake to make it feel more like villa
ooh, a cabin on a lake setup would be so cuute
also here is what I have planned for the future π I know there are planners but paint was easier to use π
@gloomy pine YAYYYY SLIMES
i can give advice for any of that as well.
also @bleak mica knows a lot more of the math and other such info for breeding whites.
i do know it as well though, and am online more often.
in the top left, you could add some trees, grass and decorate the shrine
yeah! a small shrine area is cool
and it's a good way to incorporate fruit trees into property
how do i zoom out to take a picture of my farm
or will i have to remake it in stardew valley planner]
theres a button at the bottom of the settings tab
modded farm, for some reason the tractor to the left of the pond isnt showing up
played all night and improved my farm a bit, you can check my screenshot above to see what it looked like last night π
Hello! Is there an app that you can pre-design your farm? π
pinned and channel desc
Oh thank you so much β€οΈ
mhm
Are Brick Floors aesthetically pleasing?
They have a brighter tone compared to weathered floor
personally i prefer wood pathing and stone floor
and I am almost done, gotta do something bout bottom-left corner, any ideas ?
these farms make me realize that i am not that far into the game
NAH not aT ALL
Here
both prototype farms for testing slime mechanics.
also
for testing mah mod.
but mod's not made yet so can't test.
i canβt get mods sadly on my pc because twitch doesnβt recognize the game on my pc and i canβt fix it
oh oops thereβs a stardew valley mod thing on twitch
and yeah i did
okay thank you haha
my house and farm! it is pretty crop heavy but my junimo slaves friends help me out here
ty
planning to extend the stone path around the left and put the scarecrows behind the huts soon
Is that lava eels in the left fish pond? I haven't put lava eels in a pond before so Idk
What happens if u unlock friendship with the junimos
you mean like the bundles in the CC?
Yes
you get two hearts of friendship with every non-bachelor(ette) villager
Is the green house worth it?
yes, it allows you to farm crops all year round
Do u have it?
yes?
I got cactus seeds from the sc. Do i need it to grow them, because it says they have to be grown indoors.
no, you can grow them in the greenhouse or in your house using gardening pots
yes littlewheel those are lava eels
and I am almost done, gotta do something bout bottom-left corner, any ideas ?
@gloomy pine
I've seen people put lightning rod "farms" on theirs
You do need batteries for Iridium sprinklers and some other stuff, so maybe do that?
If you're using mods/cheats/glitches, it's polite to mention that when it's relevant to what you're posting :) It's totally okay to share modded farms/progress in the gameplay channels, and you can play your own game however you like, but it can be confusing for people when there are pictures or discussions of things that aren't included or achievable in the vanilla game, with no clear indication that it's not in fact vanilla!
(Keep in mind too that people are going to play the game how they want, so please don't go hunting for ways to prove them wrong. There's no server prize for finishing the game in Spring Y1, so don't use undeclared cheats as a reason to be rude to others. If something needs an intervention feel free to DM Bouncer and let us know, but otherwise try to let it go.)
Don't mind me
@verbal talon I already have a spot for rods (in front of house) i might just forest it and put obelisks next to the wall
I added a little more of deco
Nice
Here's mine! xD
thats really nice! i like what you did with the windows, looks cool
thanks!
thats top tier house design
the left right of the kitchen is always a wacky little space, it's like having two dining tables lol
That TV room looks v cosy
Still pretty neat though
looks nice, a bit empty though
still no wife, kekw
You can change the floor in your house?
What farm is that? I absolutely love the raised ground that divides it into four pieces
Four corners
Ah thanks, I always thought that was a multiplayer only farm
Nah
thank you!
This hurts my eyes... π¦
This hurts my eyes... π¦
@opaque rampart there isn't space for more lol
all credits to @red obsidian
i did the layout, they remastered it
Yeah, another collab

This hurts my eyes... π¦
@opaque rampart maybe there is a mod out there that squares out the 4 corners map
slime hutch> 2 ponds, one with blob and another with L. eel
@opaque rampart it can't fit here dude
Yea I know, still hurts my eyes... Map's fault, not yours
:))
If fitting in even more ponds is desirable, there's a vertical format that can fit 2 more ponds (all aligned) but requires moving the top cobblestone path up 1 tile and the bottom 3 trees either in-line with the top row or to the right side

@cedar gorge can you send a print please?
i only could fit 17
thanks!
Those trees won't grow to maturity there though
they need 1 block spacement
Mods?
like that:
XXX
XOX
XXX
XOX
XXX
ik
OOOOOO
that make them impossible to grow
maybe i can use CJB cheats menu to selve that lol
He's right, moving the 3 over to near the right-hand pond would solve that issue
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XOXOXOXOXOXOX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
should be the tree spacement
@sterile carbon does they can growth event there a pathway floor?
Alright then
sorry for caps lol
