Right or at least limit it to 5 or something
YOUR farm looks lovely as far as aesthetic goes. Super pretty.
It's what I'm going for in my current farm.
Does the planner site let you toggle night time and working light sources? I wanted to also plan out where to put the lamps/braziers outside but it's hard to tell when the planner is rendered for daytime 😅
Unfortunately not, upload.farm handles rendering and it only does daytime renders
Started playing again after some time, I have about ~125 hours on this file. Wanted to make a power house farm but now thinking about making a pretty/chill/aesthetic farm since the revenue is insane rn and I havent even finished what I had imagined the powerhouse farm to be. kind of looks bland :\ y3 d20.
Uhh how much money do you make in a single harvest
I GOT MY MUSHROOM TREE!!!
On my second fall, in the area I left all my pine trees on purpose... I'm thrilled
I'm clearing everything around it to let it reproduce
28th of fall, last minute mushroom tree
my work in progress farm
my work in progress farm
@oblique harbor Looking good!
thanks!
Or even in the barn if you don’t mind them being there
i have cow home at the other corner
Let me guess indian
bruh
Yes an Indian
Looks really nice!
@opaque rampart thank you I appreciate that, I've made a few changes as of this day but nothing major, itll probably wont be that noticable just haven't screenshoted it yet
This is my farm so far. I used mods for some of it
I almost wish we could get the giant seasonal trees we see all over stardew
I'd love like a giant willow or wisteria or something to just have for aesthetics.
All of these farms are looking great!
@gloomy pine Don't forget a scarecrow!
This is my farm so far. I used mods for some of it
@raw cloak
May I suggest putting your stable closer to your house for ease of access?
yes that sounds like a good idea thank you
i think its the farm type they chose
how do you made a lake at the center?
That's the forest farm. You can check https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Farm_Maps to see all the farm maps the game includes :)
Standard definitely offers the most flexibility in design :)
@gloomy pine it's the forest farm layout that I have
starting my slimeranch playthrough on standard today- my other main form of production is gonna be fishponds and coffee
its on forest farm
@odd scarab I honestly haven't calculated it, but I sell like a bunch of truffle oil every day and I have blueberries backed up to the end of time, constantly selling strawberry/blueberry/cranberry wine. sold my first set of iridium starfruit wine
oooo congrats @upper kestrel !
aww tysm @drifting bobcat <3
Np
But I wouldent waste the resources to make truffle oil makers
The money difference is too miniscule to matter
And is worse with out artistan
It's more productive to not make it into oil
It's... not good?
I mean, 250ish gold is still reaping higher profit turning it into the oil.
Hardwood, slimes, and gold bars aren't hard to come by. Especially when youre farming sc or the upper levels of the regular mines for whatever reason, or even have the forst biome for the farm. Don't even need a slime hutch for the slime. So the materials for the truffle make isn't even that hard to acquire let alone make because even relying on secret woods alone itll be 2 days for 1 truffle maker to get the 20 you need.
This reminds me of the void mayonnaise versus gold regular mayonnaise debate we had. "Too miniscule to matter" with a 250g difference is an invalid arguement to the 10g with void chickens vs regular chickens with gold mayonnaise.
But I wouldent waste the resources to make truffle oil makers
The money difference is too miniscule to matter
I was referencing to that statement prior to your mention without artisan.
Yes but the resources
I wouldn't waste resources on it for the amount of money you get in return
....
not me btw, but woah
that long?
i just used any water and if it worked i was hapy
(water them crops from the freeeshwater ocean_)
Did you not k e about that pixel
i didn't, or did and forgot.
Is there a way to change the boots you have but keep the stats of the space boots? Coulda swore there was ac ovnersation about this the other day.
Yes, you can use Emily's sewing machine: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Tailoring#Boots
Yup
Ty <3
Those look better than the purple would for sure!
i am super not into my barn & coop placement and idk what i'm gonna do with the rest of the left side.
@silk dove what mods are you using? i am super in love with the shot of your farm in winter!! it's so cozy-looking
omg also there's a waterfall and cute stone bridges and a pier?? i am slain
The key mods there are Rolling Hills Farm and Starblue Valley World Recolor. If you'd like I can DM you a link to my full mod list
@silk dove please do!
Im not done yet, gonna get a second barn, and fill all the empty spaces with grass to make it look better, im not into making everything 100% about money making (which is why i have no sheds)
summer year 4 if you're wondering
Why no sheds?
because i dont feel like it
lol
not really sure
i make enough money to have fun with the game so i dont really care about that
i might put sheds under the big pond later on, but for now im doing other stuff
Just do 4 sheds here
You gain so much space
137x4 spaces, compared to 8x18
144 to 548 spaces
haha I get what your talking about, sheds are great but damn is it nice just to play for fun
Yes
But I don't get how getting 4 sheds would make the game any less enjoyable
It just gives you more space to have fun with
sometimes sheds can ruin the aesthetics of your farm
I don't see that
As long as there in a good location it's fine
you dont see it but some people do
If you're going for looks, maybe you can do something nice with a tea bushes patch?
I really like those, I've done a couple fun designs with them (they where larger though, on standard or modded maps)
sort of a maze looking thing
As long as you put the shed in a good spot
Which there always is one
Then it won't ruin someone's esthetics
how do you know if youre not that someone, they might have no need for sheds because the organized their farms in a certain way
There is always a need for sheds, and they help so much, there is no reason not to get one
One can play however they wish. Suggestions are good, but if someone isn’t interested, that’s ok :)
@torn pebble it's super cute! glad to see someone else playing the forest map, ahaha.
i agree!! i especially love the bottom right corner.
i am trynna get some mushroom trees this year :( we will see
:o good luck!
It's a random occurrence to pine trees iirc
And if you leave it, it converts others
My understanding is imperfect though
Here is the wiki page about Mushroom Trees: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Mushroom_Tree
There are links on the left side to translations into several other languages. Hope that helps
Thank you
i think i got like 2 in that corner so i let them grow for like 3 years
i'm in the middle of a huge redesign though so i might put some sheds somewhere in there
most likely under the pond
Is there any reason you don't want to put them where I suggested?
i don't think i need 4, also obstructs the view of the path
I have 3 and I still wished I had 10 more, just don't have the space for That, and the 2nd reason is fsir
i don't really care about how much money i make
don't need 100 kegs
lol
i'll get 2 sheds, put some kegs in one, and maybe just decorate the other
But you gain so much space
And then you get to decorate them 2
Okay >_> I just don't see how more could hurt
eh don't need them, i get your point though
still not done with my farm yet, i'm going to get more fish ponds, and just organize stuff in general
i'll send a picture in a week or so when i'm done
you should let it go cake, it's not the end of the world
we all play things in diff ways and have fun with it, i personally think playing 100% efficiently can be boring
i'll send a picture in a week or so when i'm done
Please do!
fish ponds are a lot of fun
fill your farm with fishponds
fish ponds are a lot of fun
@turbid nest for sure but they a lot of work.
fill your RIVERLAND farm with fish ponds
lordy they are
i wanna splash in 300000 ponds
i wanna splash in 300000 ponds
@zenith sun haha I feel that
😭 i should really pick up sdv again sometime and make a billion ponds in a new save
that would actually be really fun
until you have to start giving them the ||golden sign||... i forget what its called
Oh the golden relic?
@broken folio hah yep
Yeah that's a rip
How many Fish Ponds is too many? The limit does not exist
fax
To me anymore than 2~4
There just really no use
Besdies
Sturegon
Lava eel
And squid
The space ussaly could go to something else where it would end up being more effecient
u can use more kdau... more.... more fishies...
get all the colors of the rainbow!
i like blobfish ponds a lot, but i want to try eels
So on the capitalist farm... is the green plots of land tillable?
Where should i put my fish ponds? I preferably would want 2-4 with the best ones in a single area, not spread out over the entire farm
Top left corner seems like a nice spot
(I am going to put down the farmland one tile for more space on the main path)
What about Gramps?
He doesn't need space anymore, he's dead
Also i did not know i had barrels next to the greenhouse, i am sure i only had one!
Maybe
Almost in top-left corner?
In that big patch of land
Above the mushrooms
Yea it's good
You can also put it here
Waiiiiiiit
No, it takes a couple of days
Those barrels
Are where i put my drum blocks!
The uploader must register drum blocks as barrels
Odd...
Do they like
Share the same ID or something?
No idea
Dems are a lot of trees
Missing a bit of grass and some trees, but I'm basically done!
sooo cute
^o^
I love all the bluuueee
:> thank you! it's not quite the mods before, i decided to switch it up a bit!
it looks a bit bare for now, but i think when i put trees and grass it will look much more full (i hope :p)
@cosmic bridge which building mod are you using? o:
yellog's wood buildings!
Thanks! adds it to tracked mods
no prob!
It looks so nice!
Crop 👏 space
Yeaaah
I have to upgrade and fill my sheds to be able to process it all though
And the lower part still doesn't have the 81 sprinklers, due to me still needed some 40 of those battery packs yet, and a whole lot of smelting...
Your so good at making farms lol
Thanks!
A couple small permanent changes from the original plan had to be done, cause the planner doesn't show bushes, but nothing too critical
It will be 81 sprinklers at the bottom and it already is 50 sprinklers in the top part, those will be for fruit/vegetables only. The roundish sprinklers to the right will be a flower patch
The thin sprinkler areas that are on the sides at the top patch and to the bottom of the bottom patch are for trellis crops
most of the layout stuff is done, im putting 2 sheds under the pond, and i have to finish all the other buildings
im probably going to make my farming space a bit smaller on the top so it matches the bottom, i dont like the way the path goes around the pond
@torn pebble your farm is so cute!
Ty

I love the feel of the mushroom trees around the pond
Yeah they just started growing around year 2
So I just let them because Idk what to put down there
you can tap them for mushrooms if you want 😄
Can someone give me advice on how to make my farm look nice cuz it just looks super like boring I guess? 😂☠️
I undertook the adventure of a capitalist farm today and I gotta tell you I'm very excited of what it's all gonna look like in the long run. I've set this file up for a more challenging and fulfilling run.
Ive got... trees galore and seeds galore and well...
I could use ideas. I went with the clean pattern instead of the already decorated version.
I know I want to be crop and fruit tree heavy, not too much on artisanry though i will be going tiller and artisan.
I aim for the center crop field to be nothing but a display of all giant crops. Maybe 2 barns, possibly one coop cause quest. Pigs and chickens.
Does anyone have suggestions per chance or ideas?
@red obsidian I don't know if someone already asked this, what building mod are you using?
Can someone give me advice on how to make my farm look nice cuz it just looks super like boring I guess? 😂☠️
Maybe add some trees, grass or flowers. They all make it look more lively in my opinion.
Also with flowers you can put beehives near them so it’s partially productive
Another idea is to add a shed. Shed are very useful as they can hold a lots of storage or the artisan making things e.g. kegs, preserver jars, crystalariums, cheese press etc.
Oh my word. Several hours on this and I think i'm finally happy with it.
any ideas on how to improve my farm currently? any advice is appreciated :)
No but. tell me that mod right now!
@red obsidian I don't know if someone already asked this, what building mod are you using?
@olive wing It's the blue roof version in this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3163
@nimble creek which mod lol
The one to make ur farm look like that, with vines and different colours
ohh okay hold on let me check
@nimble creek here's the link https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4542?tab=description
Pixel, that plan looks great! The one unalligned fruit tree is killing my ocd
I don't think I'd change anything. You asked for ideas in terms of what? Plan or gameplay?
@little sonnet that looks great, you're making good use of that Capitalist Dream Farm! What did you use to make the M ❤️ E? o: I see there's flowers in the center of the heart
I'm looking for a standard farm layout if anyone has one please DM me
@gleaming zodiac okay thanks!
Pixel, that plan looks great! The one unalligned fruit tree is killing my ocd

I don't think I'd change anything. You asked for ideas in terms of what? Plan or gameplay?
@red obsidian
U...unaligned?
And for looks as well as gameplay. Using SVE and a lot of PPJA stuff.
Cherry trees are flower trees and apricot trees are the 33 different kinds of fruit trees, some doubled up based on profit and divided into deasons... hence the unevenness unfortunately.
@little sonnet that looks great, you're making good use of that Capitalist Dream Farm! What did you use to make the M ❤️ E? o: I see there's flowers in the center of the heart
@brittle temple
That piece took me forever! I used the crystal pathing with flowers st the center
Lined the edges with hardwood fences, trees, lighting and then put grass on grass.
Oh I found that one misaligned tree LOL. It kills me too because it's a standalone tree I tried to pair the pairs when I divvied my trees. I have the word document detailing what goes where.
@little sonnet
Who's moe 👀
Aw I though pixel had a love intrest
Excuse my poor use of the phone to make that arrow
Heh
HI!
Hi Cake
Aw I though pixel had a love intrest
@broken folio
I do have a significant other. [If the pfp wasnt a giveaway.]
This tree
@red obsidian
I seen it soon as I looked back up. I'll review the count and may put that towards the top instead which should help. I have... 21 fall trees I believe.
Thank yall for the feedback. So very much.
"Symmetry symmetry symmetry WAIT WHAT
"
But I really like it, I'm very into farms with dedicated areas instead of everything everywhere, I guess
Symmetry too
Oh!
Heh that makes sense
Might be why I like your designs so much HM, we share in that.

LenneDalben suggested the capitalist farm for me and I must say - I'm very hype to have a layout fitting to me.
Its overwhelmingly large in game starting out but I'm looking forward to it!
Yeah, the same thing happened with OmniFarm for me
:D
Yes HM has great designs, I'm mid making a design they made for me
But with time the good thing is that the part you don't get to quickly clean up, will generate MUCH needed wood
Cant wait to see it cake!
Pixel are you also going for the ppja harder CC? Or just the crops/trees/etc?
All the extra resources across the board is so nice. I started a file yesterday and was like.. "how do I even plan for this? What do I do????" Google and sdv saved me last night cause I found a spreadsheet for all the apps products and then some and planned out my giant crops mod for display and just... see! I'm excited.
Wow-
I managed to buy the exact amount of starftuit I need
I have Minerva's harder cc!
I've started this file with sve harder cc more ppja and giant crops and a bunch of minor QOL and aesthetic things.
I made myself an excel spreasheet as well, based on the mousey references
Fyi, 2 trees and 3 crops missing
Can share which later
I found them
Yuzu and Ume trees
And Perilla, Gingseng and 1 more crop I'm missing... when work pc comes off and I go back to mine, I'll DM you, is that ok?
Added them to my personal file
I have Minerva's harder cc!
@little sonnet I have the other harder CC for ppja. I really liked Minervas except I didn't really want the "meat" crops. The rewards on it are awesome
The meat crops bother me. I was consider the other one it was just the first I seen. I'll probably review it again
I'm also taking for my playthrough one of the goals of the Farm to Table challenge that is to cook each recipe 10 times.
Oop
However that's another spreadsheet cause I have ppjas extra recipes
Farm to table
_<
So it's insane
I'd love to see your spreadsheets
I think I need around 700 eggs... just to cook
Cause I have that also 😅 I wanted a longer playthrough
Pixel we seem to be my sdv soulmates
I was looking for the exact same thing
The recipes still need a bit of work to have the complete grocery list, but I'll sure share it with you
Oop
Pixel,
How are you only a villager?
I got my y1 cc
I did my initial learn the game.
So now for expanded.
I plan to eventually do a wilderness/joja [my phone auto corrected to joke lol] and something else for a challenge run.
I'm not sure cake.
Feels like you take here so much
I do. Especially in farm designs. XD
I came to the discord for advice and to get layout ideas. Been slowly easing out of my shell as time went on.
@gloomy pine was asking for a standard farm design if we scroll up. I dont think I have one but I'll look and see for ya bud.
I have several, I can share later.. maybe some ideas as to if you want some particular focus?
@little sonnet Ty!
I'll share a few later as well, is it ok to ping you in a few hours?
@gloomy pine this was a standard idea i came up with 2 person multiplayer. i realize ways it can be more efficient but maybe this will give you an idea. its an old one i had.
Things bad about this layout in regards to efficiency: Fruit tree placement, not enough crop space, tap trees can be moved off site, and take away straw pathing from farm animal areas, perhaps even open it more and add some grass. Also probably too many fish ponds.
Riverland does suck
I found this on the planner should I edit it up a little
@little sonnet What should I add in some of the empty spaces?
That's way to much space devoted to a useless slime hutch, so much empty space, add more crops, add sheds, add more beehives, fence in your animals so they don't roam around
Slimes are cute though!!!
But there so enefficent
@loud karma I hate to break it to you but... They get raised to be killed
You make more money selling the eggs
I think it's funny when they chase each other trying to mate uwu
Just raise them off of your farn
They don't run away, and they don't need a slime hutch
Time to re-purpose the quarry....
Why the quarry
Put it in a more useless space
They deserve space and freedom ;w;....
They deserve to be deleted from the game
watch the next update mega buff the slimes. huehuehue
It won't
And it's 1.5
@broken folio How many Silos should I have?
I normally have 5+
For 4 , 3~ should do
sometimes even 7
1 + chest holding 999 stacks <- what I do
This is farm idea that I created any ideas to fill in the rest?
It just looks cool
Make sure to add some sheds
Yes, I'm going to add some in the bottom
Don't forget your scarecrows, that's the first thing I gotta say
And put the kegs inside sheds instead of out in the farm
Yeah, I need to put those in the gardens. :/
Sheds work like the Tardis..
Any ideas as far as more fenced in sections? What kind of things would you guys want to see in the areas?
@broken folio Whenever you kill a tree you grow a new one, that's why there are so many fruit trees
If you bear with me an hour or so, I'll log off from work and share some farm
That's only 1/8 of how many trees I've killed
@red obsidian Maybe some other time, I'm about to log off discord
Ty for the offer tho
Sure, no problem!
Here's the farm I share with my friend. Any feedback? Winter is coming up and thought I might take some time to make it look prettier lol
Basically the whole lower left corner is to let stuff grow so I don't have to run so far to get wood and stuff, lower right is supposed to be filled with fish ponds, top left is for crops, and top right is for housing/animals
That's a good farm for smmer year 1
Maybe make more use of other conners
Don't know why you wasted resources on a well
Oh yeah it took a while for me to get sprinklers plus it was just stone and I get plenty of that from nonstop mining
What should I put in other corners? I'd like to keep the crops there but idk
I would add more crop areas,
Hmm ok
HereHere's my current year 2 spring 4 Conners farm
What's the bottom right for? And that looks really good, I like the layout around the barn and coop
Sheds, honey farm
Just curious, are the fences for purely aesthetics? I have like 3 just to keep the animals from the other corners but maybe I should put more
If you're asking if the have any actual function other than keeping animals in a particular area... They really don't. I personally like the sectioned areas
You can totally do without them
Ah ok, thanks for the ideas!
yw
@little sonnet the 3rd missing crop in mousey's site is Buckwheat!!
It's a spring crop
i still have - is that a spring y1 crop?
Unlocks year 2+
im more concerned about the trees atm. 😂 idk how ima fit in those 2 new types.
Crop rotation is easier, that's true
I'm gonna try and finish the spreadsheet I mentioned earlier
I promised to DM it to you when I was done
I saw this farm on a YT video, is it worth copying?
In my opinion, it's quite nice, though I'd suggest some changes
Furnaces and Kiln area... I'd put a shed there and get them all inside
Common trees to the left... Tapper farm can sure go outside the farm and you can use that space for something else
Yeah I agree put tappers in quarry or desert
I don’t think having that many lighting rods is necessary
You even could use that space for the coop, which looks like a ver small space to let the chicken out. So I'd move the coop to the space that formerly had those trees
and then use that square to the right for more fruit trees matching the other areas
On that amount of sprinklers doesn't look like you'd need as many. I'd hide them behind the greenhouse and the barns (I just don't like their aesthetic, and maybe put a Sturgeon fish pond in that spot
I like the partition of the space, I would just use it for different stuff. I also like the round areas in the middle, it fits nice
Beware, there isn't one scarecrow there, you need to find them space
Anyways, this is my year 4 farm design so far:
I never bothered to chop trees and that just resulted in a dense forest
Im actually quite proud of it :)
Nice!
Am I the only person who clears out their whole farm in the first year of spring 😬
After looking at all these designs though it looks like your farm just progressively gets better.
I usually take a bit more time, cause if you let it spread a bit, you'll get more wood out of it
I have OCD so...
I just clear everything
@red obsidian Should I use grass starters in my chicken pen?
Eating "fresh" grass makes the chicken happier than hay, so if you can, it's better
chicken and all animals in general
So the silo isn't really necessary for feeding your chickens or is that just to produce eggs?
It's necessary to stock up for winter
Animals don't leave the barn/coop in winter and you can only feed them from the silo
Also grass doesn't grow outside
oof well atleast it's cheap
Also they wont go out in the rain and will be grumpy next morning if they only have grass
Exactly
I feel like grass grows 1000% slower in animal pens compared to outside
I could place a single grass starter outside and in a few days it’ll cover the whole area
But if I place 10 inside a pen it takes sooooo long to grow and it’s lowkey kinda frustrating
Well, cause depending on how much you plant the animals chomp more on it than it grows
Here's the farm I share with my friend. Any feedback? Winter is coming up and thought I might take some time to make it look prettier lol
summer year one Statue of perfection? Am I missing something or is this year 3?
Yeah not everyone is up to your standards of money-making/efficiency
Lol
Well none of the candles are lit, but maybe that's a screenshot thing
Idk
Candles unlit means either the evaluation hasn't happened yet (year 1-2 vanilla) or a re-evaluation has been requested (still waiting for grandpa to appear). But it's impossible in vanilla to request a re-evaluation after earning 4 candles and the statue, so I'm gonna have to say item spawner on this one OR they could be using my new Angry Grandpa overhaul mod 😅
Unless, do candles even show up on an upload.farm render for example?
That's a nice farm design tho
Thank you
my work in progress farm, year three, im thinkin in desings
Why don't you have any crops planted?
yep
Why so little crop space?
Why uses iridium sprinklers where you can use quality sprinklers
You only have 48 crop space!
So many questions and so little answers
Yes, your farm feels odd to me,
Looks good but just seems like it would be impossible to play on since you have almost no source of income and your just now getting your final house upgrade despite having golden clock, did you just recently redesign your farm? If not how did you get 10 million g with 48 crop space
i redesigned
Sooo many greens not enough steam
i rushed it
Ah okay that makes sense,
I would devote way more area to crop space tho
Where your crops at big homie
I am perplexed how you made 10mil for the golden clock
redesign time 😌
Agreed f3nrir,
They said they redesigned,
I guess that explains it but it still seems odd to me but alas
What should i put in this part of my farm. I cleared it it and now i dunno
Sheds
More crops
barns and coops
I already have a barn and coop, and i think sheds are expensive, maybe things like mills
and fish ponds
Mills are useless
Fish ponds aren't bad, but there are better uses of space
Fish ponds are fine, but don't get anything more than 1 mill, if I where you I wouldn't even get 1
So what should I?
Sheds;
Some fish ponds are fine,
More crops
Make a beehive area
Add fruit trees
Decorate t
Peaches and pomegranates
Sheds are probably the better option if I’m right, you can fill them with preserving barrels and casks for extra profits
Kegs but not casks, unless you have it modded.
summer year one Statue of perfection? Am I missing something or is this year 3?
Hahaha this is summer year 3 but I felt bad about pointing that outsorry!😂 Dw I have 4 candles lit
looking at farm layouts here makes me so jealous ughh why am i not creative enough
Frrr 😭
Paula, you can always ask for ideas here! I'm also not very creative when it comes to farm layouts, but looking at other people's plans here gave me some inspiration, plus I also had asked for input and got some great suggestions
Im not really creative neither (Mainly because of some farm types), thats why i pick riverlands
Less space means i need more time to planify
Which fits my playstyle
Year 5, modded. How does it look?
I dnt see anything
But it looks like there alot of space you can jse
I also can't see any crops
Maybe take a picture in the morning
I can barley see anything
I'll send a brighter picture, I already have one.
Earlier that year, same design. Can you see it now?
Oh what's the mod for the little ... shops?
i can almost fit 3 junimo hut designs ;-;
ugh I hate when that happens... But nice job fitting it there
(you cant see it in the pic but there is a cliff on the left btw)
i clearly said left
/s
does anyone know of a mod that lets you put whatever anywhere?
if its even a thing
Whatever anywhere? Do you mean outside your fsrm
i mean putting path on top of a pond
There probably is, you just gotta look through the thousands of mods there are
fixed it?
What was the problem in the first place?
Oooo. I personally never put the teleporting column vertically.
Because I always mis-click
i can almost fit 3 junimo hut designs ;-;
@hallow sinew shrink your tiles in between down to two and you can, it also might be more even.
yea but i like the aesthetic of the 3 wide paths
That's fine. Was just a suggestion because then you should have 1 to 2 free tiles along the outside edge.
Mills are useless
@broken folio dont those just act as big automatic looms
They don't make cloth
They make sugar out of beets and flour out of wheat
I usually have 1, cause I like to have the most possible stuff processed by myself
there were a lot of misclicks and i dont have my pick to fix them
the empty slots are for sprinklers im working towards getting
That's a great amount of blueberries!
i think theyre the most profit in summer year 1
They arr
i was thinking of trying to make giant melons but i feel like its not needed
i know it's pretty simple, but it's honest work
Is it worth it to get Junimos huts?
Well, they're cute! And they save time. Not essential for big farming production, but certainly nice to have.
Ok thx I’ll consider it
Here's the plan I have so far! I already shared it a long time ago, but I improved a few things! I added a fish pond, changed the beehive setup a bit to fit more flowers and sprinklers, and changed the wheat field in the bottom c:
It's really not the most efficient but I think it's pretty? o:
Still unsure about what to do for the last corner, but.. I was thinking of a sort of... park? With a shed that is a restaurant?
Well I already have the lil beehive area, but a teahouse now I love that!!
Yeah!!
A lil cafe that's a cute idea c:
When is tea planted? o:
I mean I'm probably gonna use the greenhouse for it buuuut
Maybe I can do a little field of coffee/tea next to the restaurant
You know, to show the customers that it's homemade ahah
Uhh
Tea doesn't need a season
You can get the tea plant crafting thing from Caroline
Oh, and it grows the whole year? o:
That's neat!
Amazing~
Oh, coffee is spring and summer
Okay I tried something c: I kinda like it? Of course the beans here are supposed to represent tea bushes ahah
Of course it's not finished, I'm pretty sure I can add more decoration on this part
And I'll probably have a mod that allows me to put furnitures anywhere, so.. I can probably put outdoor tables too!
@gloomy pine I really love the natural curves in the layout of the bottom-right corner especially!!
Oh thanks! ;u; I really want to make a natural looking farm, I'm glad it's working!
Late response but tea grows on the last week (or 10 days, unsure) of each season except winter
It’s neat but it doesn’t pay out much
Nice decor tho
bold of you to assume I'm doing this farm for the money-
I'm doing it for the a e s t h e t i c
But thanks for the tips and compliment ahah!
Last week,
Not 10 days
So basically, one harvest each season?
It'll produce every day ft the last 7 days of a month
what should i put in the dead space? (fruit trees are going to be in the greenhouse)
Slime hutch
i honestly dont think its worth it
fish ponds? maybe save some space for end game items as well like the teleportation buildings and golden clock
Suggestions, Please? I do want to add more sheds, i want one by the water where i put one of every fish in the game, one for all my chests... And that is about it...
"Stretch it out"?
i would fill the top half of the farm with crop fields with a lotta sprinklers
me tryna find my old farm's screenshots
kind of like this
I was thinking the only way i could expand my crops is downwards
Hmm
Every other way has something blocking it
oo, u can expand any way, but if there are empty spaces on ur field, thats the best way to cover em up
i prefer horizontal with mods cause it looks better to me
@hybrid comet how is all ur stuff white
probably a mod @stuck crypt
Ahhhhh
I’m realllllly neew to the game
I didn’t know mods existed for that game till I joined this server
u can get mods on mobile???
bruh
send link for mobile mods
Steam link I think. Maybe. Wait but are you running stardew valley through steam when you use vortex?
I'm not sure I'm quite dumb so
You can stream stardew valley to your phone from steam
But you need your computer running along with connection I believe
does the phone need to be connected to the computer while playing?
got it
But I don't know if vortex runs your stardew valley via steam or it's own client
But if it does go through steam just using console commands to force the game to use the files located in the mods file then theoretically you can stream the modded game to your phone
But once again I'm dumb so they may not run the game through steam. Never tried it
depressing
true
Though you wouldn't have access to your mobile save
This is more or less just a way to not have to sit at your computer and play stardew valley
I think there's a way for you to transfer your mobile save file to your pc and vice versa
Yeah I saw some yt vids but I've never tried it so
Hmm
I figure though are they running stardew valley through steam or are they just accessing the files directly with vortex
Wonder*
I tried downloading sdv from steam on my phone and it won't let me ;-;
Do you have a pc or laptop?
laptop
Nope, it's my personal laptop
If you want to play stardew valley on mobile but can't just download the steam link app and load it in your laptop and let your laptop sit in an area it won't overheat in
Then you can play in mobile and if you have a bluetooth controller you can connect it to ur phone
;o I'm gonna try that thanks!!
Np
Welp mods on android is a lot easier than I was making it.
Just download smapi in android ig
Android smapi is gone from the Play store right now; you have to download it from the developer's GitHub
any suggestion? (fruit trees are going to be in the greenhouse)
I feel like the grass area won't be enough if the coops and barns are full lol (and no fences!)
I'd probably use the empty area for animals instead and fill the rest with resin/tar/syrup trees
Maybe you also need space for furnaces etc
i might move the animals to the other side so they have more space, but then what do i put in their place? i already have trees near the greenhouse
Maybe you also need space for furnaces etc
@bitter sedge in one of the sheds
Kegs, jars, etc
other one will be wine
i might move the animals to the other side so they have more space, but then what do i put in their place? i already have trees near the greenhouse
@hallow sinew I'd put more trees since you'll need a lot if you want a lot of wine
Well you can also put slime hutch if you're interested
i dont really think a slime hutch is worth the pain
Me neither, that's why I haven't built one on my farm yet.
Our designs are quite similar, I just put more area for trees & grass for animals
How much money does a slime hutch generate? Let's say per day
I would use the greenhouse for ancient seeds personally
I am quite late for this, but just 1 shed for 24 sprinklers won't be enough, you should use your available space for a couple more sheds
Is there a way to export what my farm currently looks like directly to the planner?
Yes, it's one of the button to the top right
which file do I upload?
i know it my not look like the best farm but i am taking advice also its my first farm like ever
whoa what year is that? Golden clock and 3 pillars already O.o
It is the regular save file, the one with your characters name and a bunch of numbers
waw
At this point I might build another barn on the top left, not quite sure what to do with it yet, but I also wanted to fill the bottom left with ponds essentially
why is it like that
? four corners?
yis
what do you meanw hy
I’d put a tree farm on that corner
yeah, it's a different type that's correct
Tree farm... so literally just put up a bunch of oak/pine/maple?
Yep!
And maybe put some sheds and stuff for kegs and preserve jars
they take forever to grow (unless I get tree fertilizer maybe) and only gives stuff every 7 days
would suggest an oak farm just so you can get the resin to be able to get them kegs
^
ah; only oak for kegs makes sense... was starting to wonder what I wanna do with artisans now
I have some casks under the house and some kegs but... hmm
You could also put a small honey farm
so if I have a full greenhouse of ancient fruits, I only need the same amount of kegs exactly right?
or starfruit, w/e
and I can... fit that in 1 big shed?
wait a second
from the wiki a design i personally use
you can replace them with kegs
ah got it. will consider thank you!
nope!
i wanna try to get all the achievements but i feel but about being a member of joja
Easier but you get no gifts
Lol is that a puffer fish

where can i get one of these farm design stuff
You can design a farm yourself, in the stardew valley planner web. There's also other's plans you can see
I can share a few of my own farms later as well
ok
Right here
thanks
You looking for plans for the standard map?
no the four corners
Literally have 2 of those to share
is it a good farm?
Yeah, to me is second best to the standard
ok
Like it a lot
i think the standard farm doesnt have enough space
I'll be off work in a bit, so I won't be on my phone anymore, I'll share
ok
good to know
is it this link https://stardew.info/planner/ ?
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
Yes, that's it
You choose your map and start putting stuff in
ok
i am completly out of ideas for what to put in the dead space there
fruit trees in the greenhouse keg in one of the sheds and all the other things such as mayo machines in the other shed
i guess i can add more crops but thats just boring
More sheds
Damn now I feel bad about my farm Lmao
what am i going to put in more sheds??
dont worry thats just the plan my farm doesnt look nearly as good as that
More kegs
I would advise you fence off your pigs
Though I would post my year 2 and year 17 farms
in the plan i have every tile covered in my farm except for those that the grass is gonna get eaten
i dont think ill have toruble finding their truffles
but if itll get annoying ill fence them off
What about machines like looms, cheese presses, chests, kegs, etc
If those are in the sheds then use the spot for tappers
Actually why not put fish ponds in the blank spots?
They produce very useful items
Don't use the slot for tappers
And they already have fishponds and to me it's to many
Looms actually may lose money if it's irudim quality wool
Oooh I didn’t see the fish ponds
Chats I guess
Yes I know that
Chests and cheese presses yeah
Iridium wool gives 50% chance to make 2 cloth, so it still earns money on average
Ok
Ok
Iridium wool gives 50% chance to make 2 cloth, so it still earns money on average
@scenic sage didn't know this, never had it happened to me :(
do you guys have any creative bee hive layout ?
do you guys have any creative bee hive layout ?
@modest island unfortunately I'm not very creative lol how much of the land do you want to use for the hives?
i am just looking for designs. i have no idea how much beehives i wanna make. haha
im following this one . maybe its a bit too much beehives?
nice
yes, you answered your own question

the front view of him reminds me of a fish
ye
he's my husband in the game
it looks like the cod face from minecraft
yeah but he's handsome
yes he is a good boi
wow that's a lot of hives. I'm not very interested in those, so I plan where to plant the flowers first then just place the hives nearby.
im following this one . maybe its a bit too much beehives?
@modest island that is not symetric at all wtf
like why is that different when the range is the same
Add one more stone flooring below the one singlet circle
Add 2 behives, 1 to the left of the iridium sprinkler on the blue, the other to the right, get rid of the 2 beehives above the red circle
Happy?
and the range is 5 tiles why is there only 2 beehives in each direction
What's your problem
Ah lel
You can make it more symmetrical if you'd like
Want me to quick work up a plan?
no im good, i already have some on my farm
not in the most efficient layout but itll do
but i mean if you want to you can
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/421386982787252224/733662275285811300/unknown.png
In reference to this image, the tiles at the top are entry to the flowers and the innermost beehives for collection. One way in, one way out for maximum gains while the southern most, well, i assume the oter corners as referenced by the one stone in the blue circle on the left are for aesthetics, to give the intercardinal directionsshorter stems in comparison to the cardinals. You should still be able to add one mor ebeehive on the exterior all the way around there without hindering anything but itll make the 'snowflake' look a little more boxy.
that or, yknow, the designer got lazy on the left half of the map.
The left hand sides missing tiles - it's actually because the extra spots aren't covered by beehive radius. There's a bug in the game's code where the beehive radius is not properly symmetrical as it should be.
Of course, with this layout, it doesn't actually matter because the missing tile would only have been a stone path anyway.
But the design itself was planned out on top of a map of bee hive range, so that's why it stops where it does.
A neglected piece of info indeed. Thankyoouu
interesting to know indeed
Actually - I did a bit of looking and must report, my information is outdated. The asymmetrical bug has been fixed in v1.4 (as well as extending the beehive range 1 more tile at the top and bottom, too). So the guide above was written for a previous version of the game, and the limitations that applied to it are no longer an issue.
Its okay...
Don't know what to say
....
Good for you
Why did you delete it?
It's not like it was a bad farm?
I don’t think this is the place for my farm lol
Okay then
Now im curious :c
there is a screeshot button
how
I took a screenshot but idk where to find it
This is my farm so far. I plan o putting shed on the left of the coop another coop to the right and two more barns below. Is there anything anyone would recommend to help with the layout?
What farm type is that?
4 corners i think is what its called
Ooo might try that on my next run
its rly fun
My main problem is there's nothing to it
Just a coop, a couple crops, and 4 silos. Sme bests and a few machines
Can someone give me tips? Im bad at ideas ._.
Your farm looks great for year 1... or 2
Maybe 3
Ignore me I'm just a ass
I love your designs for the pond and coop and barn area
But you have little crop space, I would add more crops
Can someone give me tips? Im bad at ideas ._.
@pure harness This farm is super cute! It's coming together to look like a town :3 but yea more crop space!
Tnx for the suggestion, im planning to put some spacious crops under the fruit trees, but i did have to buy the sprinklers, and yet the cute apple creature hut owo
It's my year 3 there btw
so i did some changes. what do you guys think?
i have an idea
make your farm into a replica of stardew valley town
like
make sheds the houses
and stuff
i mean it'd be cool to see someone super creative do that
but i dont think youll be able to fir everything
Idk
brilliant
@dani what is your pfp
this is my first stardew run making it into second year
i think i might move the coops and barns up to the left and expand my crops down and to the left, but not sure yet
Put grass into the fields in front of the coops and barns
So the animals can eat it
That’s impressive
I would recommend slightly more space for the animals to roam
This is OmniFarm, year 3
Early spring
The candles seem to be bugged in this map, cause I got the evaluation and the statue
That’s massive what
Is that a mod?
definitely a mod
maybe SVE but I'm not too familiar with mods thats just my best guess
Oh I don’t even know how to get mods hahaha
I was first planning for hours, and now I'm making it happen
let me find where that is
If you install a mod, does it affect past saved games?
@red obsidian your omnifarm is turning out so beautifully in game I'm so happyyyy
@regal finch Depends on which mod you install, there's more info here: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Getting_Started
Do you want to play Stardew Valley with mods? This guide is for you!
Thanks!
ty for the feedback guys
you may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like
3244 crops, say they are all Starfruit and you have tonnes of kegs in your greenhouse, profit
junimo huts to pick all that up
waste of crops
if you do that, you might as well add a few sheds.
plus that's too many starfruit for greenhouse to hold, you wouldn't be able to make enough money to refund next years crop unless you used a lot of space outside the farm
this farm hurts
like
its so profitable
but why would you do that to yourself
Yeah, greenhouse surely doesn't have enough room for that
you could fill youre whole house, desert, moutains, quarry, and beach with kegs but that just seems like a huge pain
I did half of those locations
Not to mention how little time you have in a day to til, initially water, possibly fertilize, and plant on that first day.
It's good in theory but not feasible imho.
i need help with iridium sprinker placement on hilltop farm..anyone has a good design?
Not me sorry
I have one I used on my pc I can link it to give you ideas
please do
@weary root
I had made some modifications wayyyyyyyy after but this was a thought i had.
I think this is what it turned out to be.
@little sonnet thankyou it really helped me figuring out my layout
Where I have my sheds on the place below the house, people usually plant crops there too if you want more crop space
That's so pretty Pixel, what's the mod that gives you those logs there? What do they replace?
So when y'all lay out the beehives like that, how are you able to get to them to "harvest" them?
I placed hardwood logs on the edge of the hilltop are whats in game. the hedge wals are modded to be the iron fence. - you walk up to them and harvest, and theres a way inside.
so you can harves tthe itnernal ones too
oh okay; that was my question, the internal ones i couldn't figure out. neat.
the junimo huts turn intot he logs.
Any farm?
Oh pretty
It looks great
So you've always been good at designing farms them
Then*
This one went through.. I think 3 or 4 redesigns
Thanks!
How did you get the dirt patht o grass to work~
It was a xnb mod in the old forum
And someone here, long ago, was very kind to turn that into CP for me

Yass please!
No thanks,
But it looks great
Oh pixel wants it lol
Ofc you do lil
Lil
Ol
Lil
Lol
Do you want my iron fence to hedge? I think i have it on cp.
let me zip that up for you
OMG that took to wrong
yes i do. xD
Long -_-
Do you want my iron fence to hedge? I think i have it on cp.
@little sonnet Yeah!
Pretty
Yes, I've seen a lot of people go for the checkered paths
I feel that some grass there looks a lot more natural, and less harsh for a farm aesthetic
Plus, I would never use the dirt path cause I don't like it's look
Hakauna matata, how did you get so good at making farms
Oh you're making me blush
I really couldn't say, I think I see a space and start getting ideas
The same thing actually happens in real life with like, my house.
So your just good at design in genral
I stare at my living room and get a bunch of ideas... <- This has actually happened and I'm waiting for the lockdown to pass to go and find a real carpenter and stuff to remodel my living room
I wish I could be better at making farms lol
Fortunately for the real life plan, my bf likes my ideas, lol
Oh you sure will.. I actually have a TON of hours in sdv on my back, so, you'll get there too!
over 2000
Dam-
You put me to shame lol
SDV was a b-day gift from my bf some years ago, and I was obsessed since lol
Most players think my 400h are insane,
I don't because I know there are people like you out there xd
