Lets take the hot peppers and fish one step further my guy
Recipes using hot pepper
and fish (Eel)
Cheese and Eels
ah? π
I do have a barn and eels were going to be one of my fish
SO that's covered if I wanted to make a lot of those, yeah

Cindersap Forest trees regrow on their own, so no need to plant them there
I will figure it out later
for now it will take me a while to reach this dream setup
and I might get inspired along the way
Cool
cool cool cool
Np
Anyone from denmark btw?
@drifting bobcat Don't plant new trees in cindersnap. chop down the EXISTING ONES.
they grow back in a week or so, and the whole forrest is worth around a stack of wood.
stone is a harder resource to get
@left bobcat i like that you have specialtys. but put the ponds in that area, and give the animals more space, or use the extra space to spread pit the sheds a bit, so it looks better.
https://stardew.info/planner/17-hungry-pheasants-loitered-jovially/
What do you guys think of this? Aesthetically horrible but the efficiency! The object counter shows some of the numbers, wooden paths are tillable spaces covered by junimo huts. cobblestone is wasted junimo or sprinkler tiles. overall i think its pretty good for just about all the ancient fruit i can possible imagine...
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
@left bobcat also, using the peppers for food is worth less in bulk unless you are using the lowest quality peppers, eel, and cheese.
also, if you want maximum fruit piano, cut out the junimo sheds, and just place 5 normal sheds, and use every possible tillable space w/sprinklers.
@hybrid relic (why did i mention myself?)
Ehmm CatBagel i don't think hes doing it for what its worth
Yeah but its not enough wood
how much do you need man?
@drifting bobcat money is no concern, I don't care
I'm going to use the Peppers to sell raw, make jams, and wines
@left bobcat i like that.
i'm doing a farm that's all around, but i'm also considering some dedicated artisan areas/crap
like i abuse armanath.
and anyhting purple.
well i'm not close to done, and the purple is stupid hard to get. i just have a lot of decor.
does anyone mind making me a farm plan?
Hello good farmers of Stardew. This is what I have decided to do around the meteorite. I am thinking of making a camping place beside the meteorite. Also I want to place plants and seasonal decors along the path. Any suggestions on which decor would look the best?
Thanks!
No meteorite display would be complete without the alien Rarecrow, although that's the hardest one to get π½
That's the only one I am missing. Where do I get it
at ||the casino||
@gloomy pine , what are you looking to add or improve upon?
well, since I'm already in year 5, I would like to create a more beautiful and efficient farm
what are you looking to add?
like, would you like more sheds, a slime hut?
Cuz efficiency depends on what your main focus is on your farm
well I would like to add a shed to leave chests, a couple more silos for the hay, maybe a slime hut and a couple of areas for the new fish ponds
maybe put a couple of sheds just for animal stuff and one for the cystalarium
alright! What I would do is use the top left corner for sheds, seeing as you already have one. To make it more aesthetic, you could put signs outside next to the shed so you can tell which one it is. For example, outside of the crystallarium shed, you could put a diamond on the sign!
oooohh good idea!
thanks! uwu
as for the fish ponds, the lower right corner could be a good place, considering it doesn't look like anything is going on there!
how many ponds should i put in?
A lot of people put four to eight ponds in from what I've seen, though it's really up to you!
ohh I think I should put 4 and if I need more I will put them
where could I put the bee thing?
really, anywhere could work! I would say putting some houses underneath the 10x10 farm plot would look nice, though!
ooohhh really thx for you help
of course! no problem!
How can my wife make a rice field that connects between two ponds? They donβt connect with water and have to end up personally watering about 5 blocks
@gloomy pine (thanks for the help sleepy) use lots of grass trees, and lay it off on the solid pathing a little.
@acoustic swan sprinklers.
@drifting bobcat thank you. Was hoping there was an easier way to make a rather large rice files without said sprinklers.
play riverland.
Farm plan i made for @woven lava, thought yall might wanna see.
alrighty!
thxx so much β€οΈ
of course! <3
annnnnnd the servers dead
hey! does anyone know how to get rid of bushes in the game? cuz i know you can chop down some, but on the planner, there aren't any, so i was wondering if there was a way to get rid of ones you can't chop?
Which platform are you on?
If you're on a platform with mods and have SMAPI installed, you can type debug removelargetf and press Enter in the SMAPI console while standing outdoors on the farm to remove all bushes on the farm (and lose the berry harvesting opportunities they come with)
Most debug commands have dangers. That one is pretty safe as long as you really don't want any bushes, but good to back up your save first if you can, or at least check around the farm to be sure you're happy with the result before sleeping/saving
@icy pasture the ones you cant chop are immoral via conventional means.
still do a backup.
i had my save crash on me and had to restart
alright!!
Idk what to put in front of the right shed and grandpa's shrine
Your beehive layout is pretty! I like to put Garden Pots with flowers in front of the shrine, but you've got a lot of flowers already. What about a display of statues?
Sometimes I just put paths leading to the shrine
omg i really love the beehive layout

but have you figured out yet where will you be putting the scarecrows?
this is a really good use of space
you even have space left for a slime hutch
you can just put some decorations and paths leading up to grandpa's shrine
and since you have 3 cabins i assume you'll be playing multiplayer? you can use the space in front of the shed for stables. but if you're not playing multiplayer you save that space for golden clock and plant more flowers around it!
I was trying to make a crescent moon but it ended up like that π
The scarecrows will be at the side of the junimo huts. As for the scarecrows of the flowers, I was planning to put them in the middle then just break them if I need to pass through.
Thank you for the suggestions! π
You mean junimo huts right?
Oops. Thanks for the correction! π
How do I report a ... err. not quite 'bug' in the program?
What's the issue?
Lower left didn't render properly but there is a fence in that area. No plans yet on what to put near the sheds and in front of the greenhouse π€ I also placed a fence around the slime hutch because I'm planning to unleash the slimes outside π
the slimes outside dissapear slowly every day, and to get slime, you have to kill them.
Imo, just use all the spacee for slime egg presses
the rest is actually reall nice.
maybe decorate gramps shrine?
and the middle area.
also, the path leading out is good to line with utility.
@livid basalt if i had that many beehives, i wold kms
I have the issue that when viewing the Capitalist Dreams Farm 2 map, half the map is off screen and unviewable.
The horizontal scrollbar exists, it's just hard to find at the end of the page. This is what I patch into the Planner's CSS to make scrolling easier:
body > div.off-canvas-wrap > div.inner-wrap { max-height: calc(100vh - 45px); }
#waldo-sticky-footer-wrapper { bottom: 15px; }
(@silk dove You leveled up to Farmer. You're now a prettier shade of blue. Thanks for sticking around!)
Ah thank you!
Come to think of it I'll submit that to be put in officially
Hi, everyone. So, i tried to use the Planner with the Forest layout, but it doesnt show the bushes around the farm. In the game, i cant get rid of them all, the ones on the corner of the map seems to be unbreakable, so i would like to see the unbreakable ones on the planner, to better plan my buildings. Is there any way of doing this?
okay, so the main thing with those is to just plan around them
you have to either A, memorize the locations, or just make exceptions for it in the plan.
i put buildings oLNY where i know bushes wont bee
Reset terrain features is a good mod if u want to get rid of bushes
i mean i always appreciate help with my forest plan considering it's such a hard map to do for me lmao
but @y'all srsly take CatBagel up on their offer, they're such a great planner sksk
(he's) i have no issue with yall.
yeah seriously, i do some pretty good plans.
mainly nice lookin ones, but i ran my first save on raw efiency, so i know thatone
i do good work
Here are a few of my farms i have made for people.
made for @forrestal-e (i don't ping)
ah, shoot that pinged.
fixed it
Another one, made for a friend
another one, first 1.14 farm
maximum efficency farm i made for combat layout
this is a farm i found online. i just liek it a lot
This one and the next one are the same plan, i had to segment
i made 6/7 of those (the winter one was online)
and i actually PLAYED 3 of them.
that's very admirable
and very grueling.
very, very grueling.
no cheats.
all ended once i had all the mats and buildings. took around 5 years on each
this is the one i'm doing now.
still, it's cool you have the initiative to do that! i just get the urge to build something and throw it in there
ooo that's pretty
I do that a LOT.
most of my first plans were just, like, 20 chicken sheds.
i had a farm centered around mayo at one point.
i once grew a farm full of trees and made a path through it.
the crop? trees.
the axe? bombs
wow
iiiii honestly have never really planned much lmao
i did one full plan and then i'm lazy now so
sweepy
does anyone have any good forest farm layouts? It feels kinda cramp tryna fit everything in
CatBagel has some nice layouts! I'm currently working on one, but it depends on what you want really
just like a general layout would be fine so i cab deviate from it abit
This is my forest farm
this is deff helpful thx
you guys got some nice farms ;-; i just place things in free space
that's what i do, but with style.
start with buildings and feilds, and do paths last.
awesome!
My farm so far π
That...is a lot of pigs.
That blending of the farm pond with the Fish Ponds is neat!
I need to redo my farm
I need to plan out my farm >.>
trying to fit a bit of everything into the map is hard D:
pig farms are usually some of my favorite designs to pirate.
Legit question for Stardew Valley farmers - how do i force the 30-50 feral hogs that live in my yard to produce truffles within 3-5 mins while my small kid lays dormant in his crib?
assuming they're all fully grown, just stay on screen with the hogs. you can even do work around the farm to stay busy while you wait
or even just play through the day lol
You have feral pigs?
i think its meant to be a joke- referring to the pigs as feral hogs (but i mean maybe theres a mod where the darling pigs charge at you)
Haha sorry i was referring to the old feral hog meme since tatsukeβs picture reminded me of it. I guess since it starts with βlegit questionβ that was a bit confusing
are you going to launch a stardew planner for mobile?
i named my pig inosuka
I just translate pig in several languages π
I'll name them after banks in my next save
when you decide to design but turns out to be ugly
not ugly, just unfinished π
I bought the game few days back, havent started yet. Which map is best?
normal
Standard
Finish a play in standard first before playing other maps
what i should put around the beehouse? flowers? trees?
A load of flowers would look good
@gloomy pine on it!!
man the colors look so nice

thank u
iβll sc wait
@gloomy pine @opal beacon come take a look at my messy home
β¨
i need to invest in paths, yes
@solemn otter @opal beacon @gloomy pine
i love the color sm jezus

wren you're making me fall in love with those paths smh
stone floor is best floor
I NEED STONES !!!!!!
i tried to change it to wood floor but i'm so used to stone floor
Lookin gud boiii
i have so much wood but stones: negative three
time to just mine non-stop rho hahaha
I buy mine from Robin
but yeah stone is hard to collect

dang pugna rich af
https://prnt.sc/rrhs6i did i just make this, the answer is yes
Cozy
more trees, why not?
halfway there
it's finally done
looks good
might not be my best work but
yes i did.
@opal beacon look at this majestic farm wren has
the whole farm looks so cozy & warm. like it's really inhabitable π©π»
AND IN AN HOUR. HOW. SORCERY
I wish I could show you my house for the sims too - but I'm on my laptop now.
i bet it's just as wonderful, wren
Move it backwards to where you're standing in line with the other three buildings near you
@swift axle do you mind me asking what recolor(s) youβre using? your farm looks gorgeous
Oh BravoZulu it was more like what purpose it should have?
And is this too much or does it look nice?
for me personally the checkered tile looks a little hectic but if you like it then keep it! i respect the dedication to aesthetic
yeah looks good!
Aight
Thanks
Ima go ahead and ask some more people though, for like a overall perspective
before i do the entire farm, which you can see up in the chat
@toxic temple starblue valley :)
ty!!
Oh I understand lol
NO I TOTALLY AGREE WITH ALL OF YOU ON TREES>
Huh?
Plans?
like, farm designes.
personally, i never use paths in that magnitude.
amount.
ah
cut out some of the stuff bhind the house.
other then that, i like the crosshatch pattern.
more trees = happy trees
and even if you dont take out the paths, fill them with stuff!>
Oh im taking the ones out near the house
i think im going with it for the rest of the farm
But as you can see, im still not done getting stuff fitted in the right spots
im moving the animals on the right of the silos
@swift axle looks great
Ack idk if a I posted this but heres a wip/cute farm layout for the four corners farm.
Looks great at night
i swear to yoba the quality suckS
WHY DO YOU ALL USE SO MANY PATHS
later on im decorating my whole farm with trees and areas of grass and stuff
plants
right now im just getting the layout done
and making the path design, easier to do it now because there isn't too much in the way
I just prefer the paths look idk.
And oo that sounds nice
Its annoying when stuffs in the way
yeah i get the paths look lmao
currently i'm trying to stop myself from doing it because a lot of people don't like it qwq
paths are the way
I always put it everywhere
soon i will show my complete farm
but now I am poor π
on the standard farm
nice! first playthrough or?
it's my second farm, the first was a disaster π
lmao I can sorta relate
my farm after 4 hours of building (ingame)
looks better ingame though π some decorations here and there
wow that looks so nice
my farm: has a half torn apart farm in the corner with no walls, no paths, a single silo and some random trees and there are weeds and rocks and branches everywhere
all i have on my main is a coop, a silo, and a barn i just threw down cuz i can't find a good farm plan
the way i play is really weird, which is the main problem.
how do i make sushi and send it to irl ?
idk qwq i haven't found a way
anyone got farm design for four corners?
Hi! Anyone got some good beehouse designs?
I'm trying to build it on that corner of my farm
i just like making hearts
it really depends if you're looking for aesthetics or efficiency lol
@raven obsidian Here's a layout that should fit in your space and aesthetic. All hives in range of flowers and all flowers in range of sprinklers (https://stardew.info/planner/18-free-hedgehogs-whispered-cordially/, on the wrong map but w/e)
That looks soo good, im in it for the efficiency really ^^ but I dont like doing grids @_@
Thank you @icy pasture @silk dove
of course!
@raven obsidian I posted my farm yesterday with a pretty nice layout for a beefarm
this is what I used
only the best part from my farm atm
That looks so cozy! Also, horse beanie
ohh i forgot to change his beanie lmao, i just let him wear it bc winter
I spent days thinking about a layout for this and ended up leaving it like this
So i made this Floor design for my farm...
On a picture like this it really doesn't look good
Looks better ingame
And after im done with the layout of all the building and stuff, im gonna add alot of decor
Greenery
It's cheery. And you can play checkers with your white and blue chickens
The pattern of the tiles, the tidiness of the buildings, the range of colors in the chests, just has a cheerful feel
Oh well thanks i guess
Wanna see something im working on?
Its gonna have Cozy spelled all over it
Nice. Perfect for a campfire on a cool spring night
Lower left corner has that nice little indent into the pond giving more water-adjacent space
I think this is actually layout done for now
Gonna need some space for the obelisks but yeah
I even got a little coffee brewery
Any suggestions or improvements that could be Done?
@hybrid relic you could try to use more space in the middle of the farm it seems a little unused other than the paths.
yeah at the center, you could fill it in with decos or trees/grass (to look natural if that's your aesthetic)
Thatβs neat! My farms not that neat yet
Thanks Guys!
Sorry for the late response
but yeah like i said, im getting the buildings done first and laying everything out
then ima decorate the whole place
hye guys,do u guys have a good farm layout for the four corners farm?? my farm is messy ;-;
I don't have a screen on me but I'm putting all my artisan making stuff and bees and fruit trees in the house corner, crops in the top left, animals in the bottom left, and I think I'll be doing something with fishponds or keeping it as a wood growing area in the bottom right
@hybrid relic no fish ponds?
@surreal glen there's 4 on the left side near the mini pond
never mind I am blind thanks probably e sports eastern guy @shadow stirrup
@surreal glen white canadian gay dude but same thing tbh
Its smart to put them in there because then it actually looks like the mini pond is serving a purpose
Well i think
it's aesthetically pleasing
Thanks i guess ;D
@shadow stirrup I talked about your profile pic
I still don't know if i should build a slime hutch
Like that's the opposite of Aesthetically pleasing
@surreal glen thats a kpop idol lmao
Is it like Jimin?
slime hutches make no sense to me tbh
yeah same
if they could actually produce descent amounts of Iridium, i would go for it
nah it's hyungwon from monsta x
Ah
If you're on a moddable platform, there are mods that make the Slime Hutch less...obtrusive
I don't want to use mods
respecc to my brothas who can stay clean
I want to experience the real game
Even though its just design changes
Like i wanna find out how good looking you can make a farm
yeah i started playing modded cause i hated the fishing game and i fell down a rabbit hole
i just recently went back to vanila game and i havent gone back
Nice
After the new update i think its worth experiencing
If thats the word
can't spell :p
thats why I have english as sub language in my keyboard ot shows the true spelling of words
Smart π
But i haven't actually found a mod which changes the designs in a good way
Like ive seen alot of people use that weird one which makes the buildings white and trees pink... and i really dislike it (No offense)
according to their source
ah
I have 260 hours on steam but never got past year 2 because mods kept breaking it
I always play around with em and they corrupt my save
If changing the designs of the buildings, i would definitely use the same color patterns as there already is in the game
that sucks
so I play in mobile all vanilla right now
Mobile?
android
like on your phone?
yes
but didnt play for a long time since last corruption
going stronk on mobile tho
Oh sorry
I played league and tf2
Cool
cool cool cool
play*
Don't play those games myself but i have a lot of friends who does
Is there a mod to make my children more useful in SDV? I am the mother to a daughter on one file and a father to a son on another. I don't even think the rest of the town beyond my spouses, Penny and Elliott, know I have children. I mean maybe Penny told Maru, Harvey, Sam, and Pam, and Elliott could have told Willy and Leah, but nobody cares. Nobody wants to see my babies. I can't even take them out of house. They can't go to school. They can't help on the farm. I can't even feed them. They don't produce any useful items. My spouses just feed them, or just say they do. Maybe they should make cats and dogs more useful too, but they at least can go outside. Like... Kids are hardly integrated into the game play. They just toddle around and do nothing. I liked it when I could throw them though.
Posted this elsewhere and was suggested to post in one of the mod channels. Hope this is an appropriate one.
this one is more for sharing farm layouts, try #archived-modded-support
@swift axle i love ur layout !! what size are your sheds?
What would you put in the red area?
Also, I wanna switch the Grampa part of the map, but I don't know how to decorate it. Any idea?
A little mit modified version, the bottom left corner will be a deluxe coop area with mixed animals
@merry salmon have you considered a few extra trees and flowers there, Just to make it look pretty
You could also put some lightning rods there
my farm atm. not quite satisfied and hoping for more neat buildings and decos. grass tiles also would be nice
I think that looks really good!
ah really? feels like i put way too many trees/grass
Well I like trees so I may be biased
yeah no, scroll up a bit and find the forrest one i did for forrestale.
trees are the best
@peak jacinth I like your setup, with the trees it gives it a nice foresty feel. Good job!
thank you! did a little bit detailing earlier to feel more foresty
summer year 4 :]
i would show my actual farm but its based on someone else's design (its mega cute), these rooms are my own
@sweet veldt ill show when its finished uwu
That's how they render on the planner
The planner shows building footprints :)
yeagh, plus it wont' be able to render modded farms.
anybody want me to make a plan for them>
I need a plan for the cellar. I really donβt like how it only has casks in it. Anyone wanna share photos of their cellar?
There are mods that change the cellar's appearance...
but for vanilla game you can also put some machines down there too
like furnaces, crystalariums, etc
Ahh tyy
np
a little bit of detailing
@quaint axle , if you don't mind me asking, how do you organize your chests? or is it all sorta randomized?
@icy pasture hello, no...on top is my "money making" items (like wine truffle oil etc), midle is like fishing items, and the items I need for lucky lunch and coffe.
The rest are the items worth saving
something like that π
alright, thank you! I'm planning to make a storage shed at some point, so I'm looking at how different people organize their chests
Anytime!
Yes the sooner the better, because if you do this late game (like me) it's harder to organize everything
i do all my chests via a really usefull system of where i find the item.
i have about 10 chests for my farm, 1 for cindersnap, 5 or so for the mines, and 1 for the beach
i then also have a bunch of "junk drawers.
i have a shed litteraly for holding usless items.
no, i have (had) this all on my brother's co-op farm with me.
he never plays anymore, and i don't have access to his console.
I CAN make a plan of it on the planner.
no colored chests or decor though
@peak jacinth You should add some tea bushes for decoration.
random question, since I notice this in sef's farm from earlier...how do you get tall grass to grow on the left-hand grassy patches of a forest farm? is that a mod? it seems like the perfect place to put barns and coops if you have grass for them to nibble on.
plant it with a starter
yeah, the starters plant.
i do a lot of farm planning an general game tips.
i'm always on this channel when i'm online.
It won't spread on the grassy tiles without a mod
gotcha, thanks
@peak jacinth You should add some tea bushes for decoration.
@sweet veldt good idea, haven't think about using them as deco
Yuh they look nice
You can just move the pond or is it a mod?
Anyone know what the best keg layout is for the UPGRADED shed please ?
On what platform
yes what platform
and wich mods.
I MEAN, IF YOU WANT THE BEST LAYOUT.
just be patient.
No mods that allow reach, PC
I ended up with the normal small layout but scaled it
OK, yeah, do that, with PC, you can do corners.
but MY LAYOUT allows for ALLL THE WINNNE
PC best layout
I want mobile
It's the same Killer but without the single ones against the walls
Mobile won't let you get to the ones above or below it if you put the single barrel against the wall
that's mildly inaccurate
can't find the accurate one though
do that on mobile
except leave out the three at the ends of the corridors on the left, and the two in the right corners
and obviously scale it up to Big Shed
net gain is +1 keg over the pc optimised one
might be +2 in a big shed
@weary latch @cursive pollen
Oh okay tysm
@peak jacinth for your plan, mix some crystal and steppingstones into the cobble.
it looks really good'
I don't know what changed with the patches along the way, but according with this thread on Steam forums you better using Casks for Silver/Gold than Iridum quality wine since both Silver/Gold quality gives pretty much the same profit in the end of the day, it still a thing?
https://steamcommunity.com/app/413150/discussions/0/305509857563373381/
I think there are some bad accounting assumptions being made in that thread. The profit per day from keeping something in a Cask doesn't change as its quality levels improve. (I have many spreadsheets
)
The difference between keeping one Wine in there through iridium vs. switching it out for another Wine once it reaches gold isn't one of profitability. It's only one of timing of income: How long will you wait to realize the profit from the first Wine?
I see, because my first plan was to use Ancient Fruit to make Jelly but if making Wine and cask them makes that much difference I would need to change my plans and either give up Jars or find something else to put in there.
That's a trickier question. Preserves Jars are actually more profitable per day than Kegs, even with the later Cask potential. It's just that, for non-cheap fruits and expensive vegetables, Kegs (especially followed by Casks) let you get to a higher total value by the end of their longer processing times
per day, jars are more profitable. but if you want mass-value profits once in a while, go wtih kegs and casks.
also, seicne this is a planner channel, post them spreadsheets.
Sure. I'm a Linux person π§ and I use Gnumeric instead of LibreOffice, so it'll take me a minute to convert
Yea, I was using the Stardew Profit to check what was good to produce, but I think it's not updated since it says "Stardew Valley v1.11 Β© ConcernedApe " on the bottom and I think doesn't have Cask in it.
Yeah, that's for an old version (pretend it's "1.1.1"; CA used odd version numbers in the old days)
Okay, to start with: This is the table of crops that feeds my other spreadsheets. "Crop" is broadly defined here as anything that yields regularly, so it includes Barn/Coop animals too, plus the Fish Pond fish I bothered to list
LibreOffice format; no guarantees about Excel compatibility. The "Skills" tab lets you configure where you are with those, which will affect some of the yield frequencies, growth times, sell prices, etc.
I will check it out, thanks.
Next up is a many-tabbed spreadsheet with the productivity of most of the machines that process crops and animal products. It has the same "Skills" tab to configure
I won't bother with the actual sheet for this one, but for planning your IRL celebrations, here are all the upcoming "Stardew years", in which February's calendar will look exactly like a Stardew season's: 2021, 2027, 2038, 2049, 2055, 2066, 2077, 2083, 2094
And here is the grand spreadsheet. It is a full farm planner for one season: field capacity, equipment capacity and crafting need, seed and fertilizer purchases, planting and harvest daily calendar, expected outlay and profit. It has a lot of fiddly parts, and is set up for one of my actual farms, but if interested in using DM me with questions
damn, I will keep it in mind when I start a different farm, thanks for the help.
does anyone have a nice four corners design
@gloomy pine for you and friends or just you?
How bigger your farm needs to be to worth using Seed Maker to make Starfruit seeds? So it doesn't feel like you're doing snail steps since you turn your haverst into seeds to replace the one you harvested.
@pearl mortar Do you not have access to ||the Oasis|| yet to buy Starfruit Seeds in quantity, or are you doing a playstyle where you avoid buying seeds where possible?
I do buy them on ||Oasis|| but I've seen some people saying that Seed Maker only worth for crops that you don't need to replant and seen some people saying they use it to make Starfruit seeds to save money, but I don't know of betting on RNG worth using Starfruit to make seeds.
"Only for crops you don't need to replant" does tend to be true, since those seeds yield many crops. If we ignore the small chances of getting Mixed Seeds or Ancient Seeds, the Seed Maker has an even chance of yielding 1-3 seeds per run. On average, that's 2 seeds per run - but keep in mind that any given run could be better or worse
So, based on the average, here's the break-even for Starfruit:
seeds 400g, average of 2 = 800g
regular 750g: profitable on average to use Seed Maker
silver 937g: not profitable on average (but would be if you lucked out and got 3)
gold 1125g: same as silver
Now that's assuming you don't have the Tiller profession. With that, the Seed Maker is unprofitable on average for all qualities of Starfruit (and always unprofitable, even yielding 3, for gold)
@spice lion im solo
Oh, the quality matters when using Seed Maker, I thought it didn't matter
The quality doesn't affect what the Seed Maker does, but by putting a higher-quality crop into it you're giving up more income to start with
I see, so it's better to try only using regular quality on Seed Maker. My doubt was more if worth the work and RNG to get all your Starfruit seed through Seed Maker instead of buying them there. If you get an average of 2 per fruit every batch would worth since you use 25 to make 50.
That comes down to accounting principles again. You can't compare the present value of the crop you have against future ones you might grow. Assuming you know you're going to replant, your choice standing before the Seed Maker is to use it or not, so (again assuming 2 seeds) the difference is between zero (getting two seeds for free but not getting income for the crop) and cropValue - 2 * seedPrice. Either way, you are going to be getting the value of the new crops once they grow, so you can't credit the Seed Maker for that
yea, I am going to try once to see how it goes, if not so great I will still buy them.
Thanks.
In penance for veering pretty far off topic, does anyone need layout ideas?
me? please lmao, I'm struggling with my forest farm layout
Sure. Care to share what you have so far?
Is this a good layout to try and go for in the future? I'm planning on filling the quarry with crystalariums.
Looks like you've got a good balance there. Some things to note:
- You'll want Scarecrows for the flowers at your Bee Houses and your Gold Clock
- Your animal yard may be a bit small for the number of Coops and Barns you're planning if you want your grass to hold out without replanting. (You'll also need gates to get into that area, of course)
- You only need one Mill, but two for aesthetics is fine

- That'll be a lot of Furnaces unless you're going to be mining intensely, but if so go for it βοΈ
also, do you really need that many animals
start with one coop and one barn and expand if you feel like you need the space
alright thank you
ahhh I dont have the plan on me currently, but I'll send it in the chat tomorrow!
Hello, is there a stardew planner on Android?
It's just available as a website
maybe put a junimo hut in the middle of 3x3 crops field? @maiden notch
but what's are those tiny things below the flowers close to the stable?
Indeed. Planted by the pond there they don't need to be watered/sprinklered and they grow two days faster
Can you somehow toggle those fixed bushes in the planner? Because I was trying a small plan in there with a good place to put Slime Hutch but I can't do it because there are bushes in the map that doesn't appear in the planner.
owo
What's this?
Year 3 modded, still working on details π
owo
Can you somehow toggle those fixed bushes in the planner?
Unfortunately not
You can send planner feedback to hpeinar#9459
I don't have suggestions but I wanted to say I like your current setup and decoration. Looks very clean.
@gloomy pine you do still have some open space so maybe you can put some more crops or something
@gloomy pine first of all, I love how you tuck away those silos at the top. Second, more crops on the right. I'm not big into bee hives so I say move them more to the left.
ty guys! guys

Anyone know a Junimo Hut layout for Riverland map? I can't find a good layout that wouldn't waste space and looks cool at same time.
Best sprinklers layout for ||junimo huts?|| Pls
@weary latch I just do this with huts, not sure if it's the ultimate optimal layout though o:
Oh, just a personal thing. I like having extra chests everywhere just to store items when I have no space, haha
the chests aren't really a waste if you think about the fact that there's nothing else to do with that space
here's my two player farm plan
any suggestions?
( no junimo huts because the main source of money will be iridium ancient fruit or starfruit wine, and we dont really mind picking crops ourselves )
Plenty of scarecrows, and a sprinkler for the bee house flowers. Will the other player want their own horse?
yeah, you usually do the horse ting. cut one of the coops. that's not enough grass
why the well up top @daring ingot
I think you could move it somewhere more out of the way and leave space for more crops
gone abit nuts with the stone tiles, any suggestions for my empty spaces?
Trees
I really enjoy just looking through everyone's amazing layouts! They are all super pretty and aesthetic! Amazing job to everyone π
i have about 12 in storage
hello, im new here and I'm having some trouble with the planner, it does not show the top of the buildings when im planning it. can I get some help?
its intended that way, just so you can see if you decide to place something behind the buildings
is there any way to toggle it on/off though?
I want to see the overall look of the farm as well
I don't think so
okay
But you can render to upload.farm to see everything in (more or less) its in-game style
(As long as it's a vanilla farm map)
is there any way to render or check how the lighting is in the farm at night time?
Unfortunately not
so if i save my layout, will i be able to access it whenever I want? how does that work?
is it enough if i just save the upload.farm link?
like i just bookmark the page or copy the url?
okay
i am in love with my farmhouse β‘
so beautiful!
so this is the first time i've planned a farm, took me quite a lot of time too
any suggestions?
I've just placed some of the things to fill in space for now because I couldn't really figure out what to do with it, for example all the preserve jars next to the fishing ponds, i dont really need those many
Ah, true
I find it very annoying that there are crops in the top left corner, completely separate from literally anything else
if it were me, I wouldn't want to have to go there to do crop things
Whenever i play sdv, im usually trying to make everything look visually attractive
I'd rather fill that space with a shed or two
i wanted it to be quite organised, i like it that way
this is just for me personally
you can fit two
wait lemme check once more
I mean don't feel like you have to listen to me or anything
it's just that for me if it's harvest day or something, I'd rather not have to move so far between one harvest point and another
I mean I was also quite confused with what to do over there
so i just put the farm
yeah i did something similar
but like I dont really know what to do with 4 sheds on the farm
trust me, you'll find something
K e g s
yeah that
And decor
If you wanted fewer sheds, you could replace the ones next to the greenhouse with some fruit trees. But yeah, farming is a gas and expands to fill the available sheds
i figured ill keep the fruit trees in the greenhouse
since then ill get fruits throughout the year
so i didnt really want any fruit trees outside
Definitely want the ones in there to keep up production across seasons, but for outside they're also pretty (especially cherry πΈ )
yeah that they are
At full population, two barns and a coop aren't going to have enough grazing space in the area you allotted. You might move the silos back near the farm cave or behind the house to add more grass. (This is always a challenge on Hilltop and Riverland)
ohhh, then i might move the silos behind and then replace one of the sheds on the left side with the coop and provide some grazing space there
this is how I changed it, it looked too cramped on the left side with a shed too and it didnt seem like there would be enough space for 12 animals to graze there as well
I only use the slime hutch for standard and 4 corners
I usually use 4 sheds but since there is a limited amount of space, I only use 1 as storage for my hoarding self
Then I use the other parts of the town for kegs and preserves jars
my greenhouse isn't very efficient but i think it's pretty
any suggestions for my farm? sobsbs
Which farm is that?
@weary latch You mean farm type?
Yeah
Think it's the forest one
Oh okay thanks
I play on standard but i really like that one
I wish if i could convert
Standard gives you a lot more space though
Am I one of the few who don't play standard because it's simply too big π
what do you mean? the standart farm isn't the same size of others?
From the wiki (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Farm_Maps)
Standard = The number of tillable tiles on this map is 3427, with 235 non-tillable but build-able tiles.
Riverland = The number of tillable tiles on this map is 1578, with 516 non-tillable but build-able tiles.
Forest = The number of tillable tiles on this map is 1413, with 77 non-tillable but build-able tiles.
Hill-top = The number of tillable tiles on this map is 1648, with 930 non-tillable but build-able tiles.
Wilderness = The number of tillable tiles on this map is 2131, with 444 non-tillable but build-able tiles.
4 Corners = didn't state
@north solar There are some modded farm maps that are even smaller if you're looking for something cute and chill. Tiny Garden Farm and Small Beach Farm are both
@light quartz thats the whole point of the standard farm compared to the others. More space to build/grow crops.
I know. I got the mystical farm or whatever it Name was. There are some cute little gardens but they overdone it lol
That comparison makes the forest farm seem smaller than the river farm but it feels bigger lol
the forest farm has more buildable land tiles, so you can put your barns, coops, sheds on green "meadow" tiles
leaving more room for actual crops
Hiii everyone. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do with the space below my greenhouse that's not crops. I'm trying to go for a little village vibe.
I wish horses roamed around a little like the other animals lol
@steel sierra I usually plant flowers in front on my greenhouse with some beehives dotted around, it could be like a community garden or park? (If you still want to keep it as a village vibe
@steel sierra a slime hutch, maybe? if you use a lot of trees and plants, itll look nice and like apart of the village!
Looks good maybe add more sheds?
I know I said no crops but I ended up unlocking the junimo hut yesterday soooo I did that π
@icy pasture I DO THAT ONE! A LOT!
haha, yeah! you're my inspiration for a lot of stuff uwu
aww thanks man!
by te way, i'm working on a farm that's all trees and pathings.
ITS SO HARD TO NAVIGATE
it's really draining. i'm doing slime htches only as well.
ouch, that sounds rough
Do trees cover the slime hutches well? I want one but I don't like how it looks >.<
Trees can cover the front wall of a Slime Hutch, but the roof will stay visible. Here's an attempt at maximum coverage (fall colors):
There are mods that significantly change the look of the Slime Hutch, though; I'm fond of Elle's Seasonal Buildings personally: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1993
I'll keep that in mind for my next farm where i will deep dive into the world of mods. Thank you @silk dove
Plan your Stardew Valley farm! ...on a coffee break!
My first time sharing, is that loading correctly for other? And am I asking for trouble with that amount of grass feeders?
I might need to move the 10 silos just to be safe?
It does load for me. Do you plan on having the animals eat only hay, and just buying most of it from Marnie?
Essentially I'm trying a colossal version of that, the iron lamps are grass feeders that will try and seed all adjacent empty tiles every day.
Oh, okay, since you hadn't put grass over that area I wasn't sure if they were decorative or not
At full population that will be 84 animals. You've got 93 lampposts there, so it ought to be enough
The problem is several don't feed to 4 spaces. My eyes glaze over trying to count
(There's an "Object Count" option in the Options menu)
My main concern with this layout is how much you'll need in terms of crafting resources
Oh yeah. This is post-gold clock stuff
Ah, good. Well you've definitely maximized the areas you're focusing on
Ooh, I've got it, I can place a different path style into each 'fed' square then object count those
48 barn animals needing 6.15 fed squares, 48 coop animals needing 4.61 each...if that reddit post is accurate. I need over 500 fed squares? Crap.
Even if I perfectly use feeders such that each touches 4 empty tiles that'd be 130 feeders to create a tiny bit of wiggle room. Ow.
it doesnt let u place stuff if any of the tiles are flagged as non buildable
red tiles merely mean no crops here
you can turn off the restriction check
any suggestions? should I make the fruit tree part bigger?
Hm, another silo will be good, and yeah, more fruit trees, they're pretty and good for filling up space.
oh yeah i had another silo planned but forgot about it. thanks for the reminder lol
I would set up a bigger area for tapper trees, those products can be pretty limiting later on (specially oak resin)
You can actually leave only one space between normal trees, they are not like the fruit ones
i do plan to fill the rest with more and maybe I'll chop them down and replant them with only one space when i run out of space for them
Question, does the quality of the ingredients affect the outcome? ex: gold milk = gold cheese?
no
thank you
i wish i could just build a farm on a whim again.
I have a pretty good farm and I play on Xbox (GMT-4). I'm on year 3 with almost half of the community center finished. Bring a mic
@glacial dune in general, ingredient quality doesn't affect outcome. Ingredient size does - so normal milk always becomes normal cheese, no matter if it's gold quality normal milk or regular quality. But Large Milk always becomes gold quality cheese.
The exception is wool. Higher quality wool has a chance to drop x2 cloth when fed into a loom.
K
Can anyone send a good design for four corners?
@timid shard you are in incorrect channel. #multiplayer-lfg-old is where people look for farm/friends
@spiral raft I make plans for people, if you want me to make one, let me know!
is that a spoiler
a spoiler for a modded event to be exact
Welcome to the server @white belfry! I do have to ask that you add an English word or name to your nickname on this server. See rule 4 in #445729663885639680 for more details.
I like the checkered flower and beehive thing you got going on
@ornate sapphire will you just be using the greenhouse for crops?
Okay! Then itβs a great looking farm π
G R A S S
any suggs for my house π₯Ίππ im stuck on what to do with it
top left room, i would personally put the bear statue in the corner instead of in the middle since its that big and it obscures the room a bit
it does look really good though
im just curious, but why are there chests scattered all over?
and one of the chests in the top left corner of the master bedroom does not seem to be accessible
My dumb self picked the river farm layout, so now I have no space for sheds, so I just scatter it all over lolol
if you want to change it up maybe try a new colorscheme, I know that always helps me with new ideas. I think it looks great though!
All I have currently, but what do you guys think
I was wondering about the barn area, should I leave it open? I'm going for like a cozy feel (ik it feels barren right now) but like I think of like trees and lots of grass
Iβd put a little beehive/honey/meadow right in the middle where the path ends !! itβs not much but it adds some fullness to it
Good point
how do u make it look smoth @slim gazelle ?
cause i just know abou this stardew plannerπ
anyone got tips for decoration foreset farm π€
p/s : i'm not good with decoration part so if u guys got any ideal can u guys share with me
Can someone please send a picture with an ideal layout for a wilderness farm? OCD is killing me
@tawdry carbon I didn't even use stardew planner. I just started with the paths and went from there.
any tips for making a base layout?
I've been trying to make a layout but just end up frustrated
Looks awesome !
Very very pretty
@primal berry I think everyone has a different idea of "ideal", but here are some popular layouts on that map: https://www.reddit.com/r/FarmsofStardewValley/top/?t=all&f=flair_name%3A"%3AWilderness_Farm%3A Wilderness"
Hope that helps :)
idk if im just blind but is there a farmhouse planner on the planner website??? and also is there any way to upload custom greenhouses etc.
Unfortunately there are not options for either of those
awh ok
To be honest, a farmhouse planner would be a huge undertaking, there are a lot of interior items, it would require different logic to handle how they can be placed, and would require custom rendering. As for custom greenhouses, there are lots of modded maps, so a modded greenhouse may certainly be possible if there'e enough interest. You can message the planner dev at hpeinar#9459 with feedback :)
Can you guys give me a good greenhouse and forest farm layout please
I have just unlocked the green house
Please
For the greenhouse, this is the optimal setup
i don't believe you can place fruit trees in their anymore sadly
no, you definitely can
it was removed in a much older version and then re-added because everyone liked it
i don't believe you can place fruit trees in their anymore sadly
You still can! What you may be thinking of is before 1.4, you could place trees on top of all the decorative items around the edges, but starting in 1.4 that's no longer possible. So you'll note in the image above all the trees are placed around those decorations
do you have a Forest farm Layout
I'd recommend checking /r/FarmsofStardewValley and sorting by forest farms (by clicking on a flair or using the sidebar)
Hey I could use some help. Im stuck on what to put in the top right and bottom left of the inner circle if you have any ideas that would be great. Also a little lost on what to to with the top left quadrant of my map, thanks for any help/ideas.
Ooh, that inner circle is nice. Personally I'd go for four Fish Ponds. But I notice that the Bee Houses around the Fish Ponds don't have adjacent flowers. What if you moved the Fish Ponds to the TR and BL corners and replaced them in the TL and BR with flower patches for the Bee Houses?
That sounds really nice but what do you mean by flower patches?
Just a large area of flowers. You'll usually get a nice pattern of the different colors because of the way the game chooses them
can someone link me to a farm that has fish ponds, good amount of sheds, and some junimo huts with crops surrounding. I want to get a good idea and make a farm
This is one of mine on a larger modded map. You'd have to condense some things and take out others, but it has the bits you're looking for: https://stardew.info/planner/27-light-herons-drove-merrily/
hey loves! Would anyone happen to know the best layout for fruit trees in the green house?
and i'd love if someone could give me some tips or make me a layout for my forest farm haha, i'm working on it and just sorta throwing stuff down currently
this is the optimal greenhouse layout here:
the green spaces are the trees
the best trees objectively are pomegranate and peach because they give you the most money, but its generally personal preference
or if you want, you can download a greenhouse mod that gives you dedicated tree space, such as Oasis Greenhouse (the one im using rn)
oh, sweet! thank you!
Pls can I have a forest farm layout
r/FarmsofStardewValley
you can filter them out i believe
Oh I t doesn't let me filter them
ah, then just look through and see if there is one that you like
@weak rivet you can filter them
Oh thanks !!
np
click on a farm type
Ok
languoni please.
(language)
im sorry for the confusion, i often use that in my server.
while it's not explicitly stated to be against the rules, foul language isn't used here often.
Uh i like the left but how do i spice up the top right (farmhouse location) and the crop fields
is the checkerboard a bit too much
yeah thats a good idea
Its just like on the left its super fancy but the top walkway seems kinda awkward
i'd use checkerbard for fillin, not pathing.
shed
I was thinking maybe another shed but im not sure what to fill it with
I put those in the shed that is already there
even the children??

I already have a jar shed and a keg shed, i don't know if i should make another one of those
You could save that spot for the gold clock if you don't have that yet :)
That is the full farm btw, it took me some time to upload xd
Actually the gold clock is not a bad idea at all! Its basically the only thing im missing
I might just do that, it will give me a bit more space to decorate
Thanks for the suggestions
is there any way to get the full farm images on consoles or no?
Does anyone have a good layout for multiplayer on standard farm?
is there any way to get the full farm images on consoles or no?
There is on Switch and PS4! You can see a guide I wrote on sharing your farm here: https://redd.it/e21tpl
One day...
HAHHHHhhh
I got switch JUST to have the screenshot feature
i have three sheds. one for storage, one for kegs, and one for animal goods.
while it's not explicitly stated to be against the rules, foul language isn't used here often.
@drifting bobcat I know this is late, but just to clarify, people can swear if they wish. Just not use it to insult someone else
We do our best :)
I'm just trying out the planner. How can I have my greenhouse finished so I can move it?
Nevermind
found it
Still can't move it though
Move it? You cant move the greenhouse as far as im aware
Are you using a modded map that has the greenhouse in a different place? You would need to select that map in the Layouts menu
Oh I wasn't aware of that thanks
Is there a way to show all of the buildings or am I stuck with only the placing tiles?
You can render your finished plan with the upload.farm service from the purple icon at top right
That will look like an in-game screenshot for the selected season
I see. Thanks a lot!
Idk why but I've always thought that Odin is a bot
Is there a way to make tilled earth?
Good start, but remember that rocks will still spawn near the sheds if you donβt cover it with pathing or grass
Thanks for the info.
Idk why but I've always thought that Odin is a bot
That looks good Nadine! You can place down crops on the planner and those will render with tilled dirt under them
Added crop space that should be easy to water in the first summer. Obviously not gonna use all of it though ^^'.
This is so much fun
it is,, except i use custom farm layouts
oh nice
need tips?
A small farmer village I made on stardew planner
Not really finished
like how the circle mimics the one in town
like how the circle mimics the one in town
@devout cloud yeah, i took inspiration from that
if you can think of it. theres a mod for it
@drifting bobcat really? I couldn't find it
here's a rough layout i made for my farm, I'll just fill in the gaps when I play
yall planning out ur farms meanwhile im just like shoves random buildings everywhere
\hehe
i guess i will have to try planning on my 2nd play through
Is there a planner website for stardew farms? Like how AC has island designer
yep that's what this syubreddit is for - see the pins for a link
literally so beautiful!!!
Aww thanks π³
@upbeat plaza I really liked that
working on a plan for my first farm. working with so much open space is hard.
@drifting bobcat really? I couldn't find it
@strong willow Well then, that usualy means it needs made.
and, even if not
just edit game files to allow furnite placement outside.
although that would also allow planting crops inside.
@lusty pasture Put up the feilds first, that will help a lot with spacing trouble.
New layout
i'll just cheat on day one and make that then do everything normal on day 2
It would be nice to try and make a new 4 corners farm mod
