Hey everyone! I'm currently having an issue with running my game. I haven't played in a while so my smapi was out of date and I couldn't run mods, so I decided to take smapi and the mods out of the folder and run it like that. Every since then, I've been getting an error that says "An error occurred while updating Stardew Valley (missing executable). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling so mant imes but it hasn't worked. Does anyone know what this is?

Is this a me or a mobile issue? (I'm using Android. Phone is a Moto Z 2 Force)

It seems that frequently when fishing in Cindersap Forest on the dock I will cast once or twice then when trying to cast again my character will instead walk the opposite direction of the dock and cast into the grass. I have yet to test it other places.

I play SDV on android. My controls are weird all of a sudden. I use 2 buttons and invisible joystick, and now for some reason the 2 buttons domg work anymore and touching the right side of the screen does nothing, except when I'm walking/using the joystick, and even then it just zooms in/out

Hey, I'm having an issue with my game...

I've collected multiple Star Shards, but they won't show up or register in my mineral collection tab, which makes me very sad. I've tried a bunch of low-hanging fruit suggested for people in similar situations - grabbing more Star Shards from a Crystalarium, leaving the Shards in my inventory overnight, dropping a Star Shard and picking it up again, etc - and that's done nothing to change the situation.

Are there any other solutions I might have missed? I'm thinking I might go cracking geodes until I'm lucky enough to get another Shard and see if that trips the flag

But at this point I think I would rather just edit my save to manually tick the collection tab if I knew how

Okay, mine seems to work fine with both click and drag. Are you able to try placing a new autograbber and testing that? The other thing to try is clearing your game cache, but make sure you hard save and backup your save again to be safe first

Anybody run into a problem where the game glitches out on the beach after a while of being there/fishing/taking something out of a crab pot? the first time the particle effects of a fish spot froze and then suddenly the camera no longer followed my character and I couldn't interact with anything anymore. Then it happened after I rebooted the game and emptied a crab pot, the cockle that was in it was just floating above it.

didn't happen before but the most recent mod I added to my game was the 15x15 greenhouse which I don't think should have affected anything on the beach, but I haven't reoped the game to see if this eventually happens in other areas too

my most intensive mod is SVE but I haven't had problems before this

I also got through one day of the game error free, could the fact that it was snowing when it's happening affect it? dunno just trying to be specific as possible

Hello I have been playing a world on CO-OP with my friend and was doing perfectly fine but i crashed and then every time i try to join the world the whole world crashes with the player bu they are able to play perfectly fine without me until i try to join. I play this on Xbox so i really have no clue whats going on.

There's a possibility the save is corrupted for you then. You can have the host try and demolish your cabin and create a new character, but you'll lose your personal progress

My friend has this problem where the game will make a high pitched sound when someone swings a pickaxe and/or hoe and hits the ground, which also cuts audio out of Discord. He started experiencing last night on a modded Co-op game, however it still affects him no matter what combination of singleplayer/multiplayer and mod/modless.

You need to set 'execute' on the file for it to allow you to run it:

chmod u+x /path/to/file.command

u is the owner of the file, +x adds 'execute', so u+x gives the owner of the file the ability to execute it

Hi all. I've encountered what I believe is a bug in SDV. In a MP game, one of the farmhands upgraded their house until it had a cellar. Previously, we were able to go down into the cellar with no problem. However after moving their house via the carpenter, when we go down into the cellar the scene transitions, but the player character is invisible and cannot move anywhere. You're stuck there and cannot do anything except wait to pass out.

Has anyone encountered this or have any suggestions?

To expand a bit, normally when someone types !officialbug, @tulip island (on of the server's bots) would automatically reply with the message Arcane shared about where you can report game bugs. Of course, that doesn't work if the bot is offline, hopefully he'll be back up soon :)

That exists as an object in SDV's vanillia files, per CBJ itemspawer, but it unplayable. I think all FlashShifter's done with it is put it in the saloon with a "out of order" sign, and since SVE's info says nothing about a new minigame, I think it's safe to assume that it's only there for decoration. 🤷

Hi, ran into an issue with mods and can't figure out how to fix - would love any input / direction anyone could offer!
(Short summary: there is a plate of fish in place of boots, and when I removed the mod that I think was the problem, it 'removed' the shoes as well so now feet are invisible)
