I feel like I'm going to just end up reinstalling Windows. There's only 5 games on her machine so it's not like it's going to be a hassle to get things back.
My daughter can play The Sims 3 for hours on end without a single hiccup, other than the normal issues in The Sims.
Terraria seems to be running fine so far.

So to recap our new findings:
- The CPU usage looked pretty normal in the screenshot you posted earlier.
- It happens in safe mode with no audio engine, so it's probably not audio-related.
- Memory checks didn't find any issue, so it's probably not RAM-related.
- It doesn't happen with Terraria, so it's probably not a general XNA Framework issue.
- It doesn't happen with other games.

Okay, so it doesn't seem like a driver crash or something like that. Can you describe exactly what you were doing and where you were for each crash you remember? It might be something in the game code, so seeing if there's anything in common between them might narrow it down.

There doesn't seem to be anything specific she is doing that causes it to crash. She waters her plants, pets the chickens, makes mayo, forages for stuff, mines, chops down trees, upgrades tools. She literally plays the game and it happens at different times.

Nothing at all you can think of that might be a common factor (e.g. it usually crashes shortly after she uses a tool/weapon)?

It's not necessarily in the same areas or doing the same things. Sometimes she's mining, sometimes she's standing in the crops, sometimes she's in the henhouse, sometimes she's walking in front of the museum.
All places I can think of her crashing.
I just did dxdiag and noticed her build of windows is about 2k behind mine. I'm running some windows updates now for her.

It didn't take any inputs from the mouse or keyboard after that point. The crash disconnects the wireless USB.
So when it crashes, she loses network and USB peripheral. Her headset keeps working though, which is interesting.

It's not just SDV. I was playing Saints Row 4 and it did the same thing. Killed the USB ports. I assume it discoed the network too. Same thing happened as in SDV.

Save Anywhere can break or corrupt your save state, so I wouldn't recommend it in most cases. Does the save work if you remove it temporarily?

The issue is an error in the schedule files. The mods editing schedules are Summer Hours, Immersive Characters - Shane, Shane's New Job, More Personality for Jas, and Befriend Marlon; you could try removing those to get past the day, then put them back afterwards.

I am interested in translating the game into Finnish. Does anyone have any experience with translations? Is there any way to get a script of all the dialogue, item descriptions etc.? Should I contact ConcernedApe directly?

@zinc barn If you unpack all the game files, the translations will be split across many different files. https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Editing_XNB_files#Unpack_game_files, e.g. the item names and descriptions in English are in Data/ObjectInformation, and the German ones are in Data/ObjectInformation.de-DE... I would choose one non-English language and replace all of the stuff in that language you see with Finnish, possibly using the English version of the file for reference.

Those bubbles are text in the files... There are some language-specific image files with text you may want to translate, e.g. the signs on the saloon. You'll probably want to use Content Patcher to get your changes back into the game, and you could make overlays for those changes, rather than editing the images directly, which should make your changes more compatible with other mods.

If the files are still there, here are some common fixes (try one at a time):
If some of the files have _STARDEWVALLEYSAVETMP in the name, remove that from their name and reload the game.
If you recently renamed or created the folder (e.g. to restore a backup), make sure the folder name exactly matches the file that looks like YourName_0123456789.
Try undoing the last save.

I think the easiest way to work out what is going on there would be to zip your whole mod folder, and send me that in DM, along with a zip of your saves... But move all the custommusic packs out of your mod folder before doing that.

Hey Pathos, Minerva and Cola, I really appreciate all the trouble you guys went through to help us out. Sorry it turned out to be a wild goose chase. I reinstalled windows and it seems to be working fine. We haven't put a lot of hours into it but so far so good. If it ends up happening again I'll probably just get a new processor and GPU instead of the APU.

I'm not sure what exactly is going on with those maps, I guess you merged the bathhouse hot springs with the gender neutrality or something, as the changes from that mod don't really seem to be there... Anyway, the doors to the locker rooms were like "Bathhouse_MensLocker" when they should have been like "BathHouse_MensLocker", and uh that was enough to confuse Alex and break the universe

I think it's because mobile version is trying to help choose the tool you might want to use, not because an axe is required. Maybe try equipping something else?

Okay now I have a question on it
So I transferred the game from my old phone to my new phone no problem, when I try to open the save though it asks if I’d like to continue where I left off and it doesn’t matter if I hit the check or X, it kicks me back to the main screen. Should I try to retransfer?

Clear the cache of your switch: System ⇒ Formatting Options ⇒ Clear Cache
Restart your switch: Hold down the power button on the top of the screen for around five seconds ⇒ Power options ⇒ Restart

The bug I found is when you are riding the horse and I went exactly to the quarry's wagon and I did it quickly (run to the wagon and go immediately to the mine) the horse teleported me to a black stage with nothing visible (try with others destinations and only happens with quarry towards mine) the solution I found was to use the totems

@green stratus I changed the user password in the bios because I just use a pin on windows for ease of access and forgot my password. I was trying to get into windows safe mode to see if that would work. I am now in normal windows. I have no idea how that worked

Hi I need help
I dont know how to work around pulse audio on linux, whenever i connect an hdmi device, i have to change the sound setting for the particular application i am using to hdmi output in pulse audio gui
and whenever i disconnect the hdmi and start using any other application with headphones, i have to change the output for EVERY application manually even if i didnt use it while connected to hdmi
SO, I tried playing stardew on this laptop, and I was getting sounds 2 days ago
but now I cant
(i will send a screenshot my bad, please wait)
I click on the button next to stardew to change, and pulse audio does show alternate audio options
but i cant switch to any of them
(sorry cant take a screenshot after clicking on the button, system doesnt allow it)
Is anyone who is familiar with linux help me get stardew audio back 😦

Hey, So i havent played SDV for a few weeks and when i went to load it, steam said it was missing an executable. I did verify file integruity and it said it was fine, tried uninstalling/reinstalling both, same problem, what else can i try? ive also added it to my virus protection exception list so that wont block.
