Hmm, it might just be that the wiki doesn't explain the stamina mechanics very well. They way I read the code, going to bed at 11pm will only restore about half your stamina bar

Just did what you suggested. It saves to the Steam folder fine, but not appdata, which just retains one single save for some reason. I turned off Steam Sync for SV though, if that makes a difference

that is something hard to diagnose, it is probably a firewall problem on someone's end

the easy way to solve it is by using Hamachi (https://www.vpn.net/) and play through LAN and ignore the enter IP thing by pressing OK

Was wondering if someone could help me figure this out. When I play Stardew a portion of the right side of my screen is black, except some things (like the clouds on the start screen, or characters in-game) will appear in the black. On the start screen it has squished the 3 left-most buttons into one spot, and if I click any of then it will close the game. Additionally I can't change my screen resolution. Sorry for the awful picture.

verifying game files
reinstalling the game
uninstalling and reinstalling VC 2013 Redistributable x86
running the game with all firewalls off (windows and malware bytes)

unless there is an extra step I can do beyond uninstalling from steam, then going to the game folder and deleting leftover files. then reinstalling on steam.

If you're starting the game from Steam and are "online" in Steam, and you don't have any special characters in your Steam username, I'm not sure what else to try. Restart your modem/router? There's always Hamachi.

Ill try setting up hamachi, cause im starting from steam, fresh install no mods, im online and my steam probile settings are all public. steam overlay is active when Im in game and I can try to invite people to my game or join people through steam overlay and it never works. and I have no invite code options so I cant try that

@keen juniper Sadly, the only way is indeed to mod your switch, as Nintendo doesn't allow to take any save file.

(For a good reason, it's to prevent hacking, piracy etc)

Hey, that's not a lot to go on normally, but it sounds like you're using SVE? I'm guessing you either installed NPC Map Locations after the main SVE mod (so it overwrote custom files), or NPC Map Locations is in a subfolder with a bunch of numbers after it and stuff so the custom files didn't get merged. Can you upload your log to https://log.smapi.io (see instructions on that page) and share the link in #making-mods-general ? That will make it easier to tell what's going on :)

This has happened twice to me on switch. If I use a tool like pickaxe or fishing rod in a place where it's not supposed to be used, sometimes it freezes, the game continues to proceed but my character cannot move and I can't open any menus

Clear the cache of your switch: System ⇒ Formatting Options ⇒ Clear Cache
Restart your switch: Hold down the power button on the top of the screen for around five seconds ⇒ Power options ⇒ Restart

The only blurry I see there is because of jpeg. If you uploaded a PNG version it'd probably look fine.

Hey Gorby, it sounds like you didn't open up the folder you downloaded and put the contents where they go. (The Stardew Valley Expanded folder itself doesn't go in Mods - it has folders inside that folder that go into your main Stardew Valley game folder.

I'd check out the install guide here https://github.com/FlashShifter/StardewValleyExpanded/wiki/Install-guide and make sure you've followed everything, and once you've got it sorted as best you can if you still have troubles you can upload your log to https://log.smapi.io (see instructions for where to find it on that page) and share the link in #making-mods-general :)

As long as you leave the door open overnight, they'll be fine. I would recommend fencing them in if you are worried

but for some reason the mod crashed in smapi and couldnt parse the json file at all so i mustve done something wrong. even though i tried to follow the directions i was given

all the other mods that didnt load correctly i understand why, some had misplaced pngs, missing manifests/dependencies, content patcher couldnt replace multiples etc

but bfav has me totally stumped

find Stardew Valley.exe on your computer and run it

if you bought it with steam it should be in your game library, you should be able to open it from there just select play game like any other game
