hey gang - quick save file edit question - I am experiencing a game freeze for Harvey's 10 heart event - I get the invite, head to the railroad, the scene triggers - and then freeze. My character never walks on the screen and poor Harvey is standing there forever. I can't remember which mod causes the freeze, so I figure I will edit the save file to make it seem as if it's already happened. I checked this thread from CA, and I see the event ID for the mail invite (which is listed in my "eventsSeen"), but not the event ID for the actual hot air balloon ride. Check your Artisan Valley Machine Goods mod folder, I bet you will find duplicates of items. Such as Apple Rinds and AppleRinds. Your duplicates may be different tho

um just to make sure, it was I that made the fix to Sheila's mod that leads to this event, which is the CP version of flower valley converted by paradigmnomad, apparently it happened to be an error that makes the cursor and some UI parts dissappeared, then I make my move by simply just adding "PatchMode": "Overlay" to the parts that's editing the cursor.xnb. I tested in my own game and it works well zero errors, when I send the fixed content.json to Sheila then it happens, I've no idea what's causing that. Is flower valley supposed to edit some savefile though? I didn't actually aware how the mod actually works, all I thought the mod was just a graphic replacement.

"Simple" contentpatcher conversions of old XNB mods that edit that file aren't really adequate. There are so many things in that file, and no mod is going to change them all, so they should use areas for the specific things they modify, and not just replace the whole file.
