Oh yeah! As stated above, the multiplayer update for Steam and GOG is live! since beta is no more, multiplayer-beta is now #multiplayer-lfg-old. You can use that channel to recruit others to your game or to talk about multiplayer (but you can do 1.3 discussion in #stardew-spoilers as well!)
Since this is a big update, we might be getting some new people, in which case, welcome aboard! However, we urge you to please read #445729663885639680 and get a refresher on what we allow/don't allow, and #445729591533764620 for any information you might want to know. We will be more strict for the next while because of the influx of new members and we fully expect you to have read our guidelines for the server.
If you have any questions, please let us know! Please note that you cannot post server links so if you want friend groups, do it in DM. Also note that we will not be adding several voice channels with a 4 member capacity. If you want private VCs, do it in DM or in a personal server.

Sending out a friendly reminder for all you lovely people in the server:
Regarding griefers, trolls, harassment etc. in your multiplayer game, it's awful but we can't do anything about it. The games in Stardew Valley are peer-to-peer and since it's off the server, it's unfair for us to take any action and we can't always use names/game screenshots as proof.
However, you can remove the offending cabin in your game and remove contact with them. If you do not want specific people to take your invite code, it's best to send your codes privately (in DM, on steam, whatever suits your fancy) for the best chances. You can also just block/ignore people on Discord, but be aware that they will still see your messages in chat. Only when you are being harassed in the server can we take action, and we encourage reports for when this happens. You can always message Bouncer and we will take care of it ASAP.
Multiplayer can be a double edged sword sometimes, especially playing with strangers. We try to keep this server as safe and fun as possible, but there are some things we simply can't control. Thank you for understanding and we hope you continue to enjoy the server and the game!

Hello friends! As you may know, the Stardew Valley update added a bunch of cool emojis to use in multiplayer. We think these new emojis are quite swell, and we've been thinking about adding them to the server. Unfortunately, all Discord servers are limited to 50 emojis, so it's time to clear out the cruft and add some Official Multiplayer Emojis™. There are a lot of them however, so we threw together a quick survey to see which emojis you (yes, you) would like to have in our server! The idea right now is to replace the marriage candidates, keep most of the pufferfish, but replace everything else with the most popular emojis from the survey. (This may change down the line, but that's the plan right now). So tell us which emojis are your favorite!

- How did you find out about Stardew Valley?
I found out about Stardew Valley from a Game Informer actually! I think, anyway. I read it was a bit like Harvest Moon, and I really wanted to get into a new game. My boyfriend got me the game and I've loved it ever since!
- What is your favorite thing about the game?
My favorite? The lore and characters. I'm a sucker for good characters and decent designs, and Stardew Valley has all of that! The mining aspect also drew me in. I'm a huge mining enthusiast in games and always enjoy them!
- What brought you to Discord?
I came to Discord after seeing an advertisement for it on Tumblr saying it was pretty cool as a substitute for Skype. I hung out on Skype with my friends at the time a lot, and then we moved to Discord eventually.
- Which character from SDV do you identify with the most and why?
Admittedly, Leah. She's an artist from the city with a bad ex and drinks. That was basically me in a nutshell when I started the game! A little heavy, I know, but Leah is the one I identify with the most as a result of it. Ironically, Leah is my boyfriend's choice of love interest in the game. xD
- What do you like about our Discord community?
I love the community here because of how inviting and open it is! It became like my second home and I've made many new friends as a result of it. ;u; I started talking and didn't stop!

So, there's a few things cooking up on the server. Many of you asked about when our next event would be. Last year, we had a huge summer event! However, our server had maybe 4-5k members at the time and it was a LOT of work. The numbers continued climbing over late 2017 and into 2018 and now we have a whopping 20k members! We're so excited to have that many people on board now and we love this community, but it's impossible for us to hold a large-scale event with prizes with the way we were organizing it before.
An overhaul for the next large events are being made and we would have liked it to be in time for the summer, but unfortunately it wasn't. We not only plan to overhaul the events, but badges, ranks, and more for connection and fun our community.
That being said, we don't want to skip out on a role that people permanently keep, so we have a little mini-event for that purpose! Just post a Stardew Valley related haiku in the designated channel and you'll qualify.
The rules:
1. A haiku is 3 lines; the first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7 syllables, and the last line is 5 syllables. The last line usually has to do with nature, but you don't have to do that to qualify.
2. Post ONLY ONCE in #479037388321194020 and that post must be your haiku. No chatter or conversation. If you have a question, you can get our attention in the other channels. Your role will not be added unless you delete your chatter.
3. A staff member will react to your post with an emoji when your roles will be added. You will keep the color for a week, but the summer role under villager is permanent.

Steam was nice enough to recommend it to me when it first came out, then my boyfriend gifted it to me to play.

I thought the game was awesome so I went to seek out a community that matched. I happened to stumble across this Discord around March 2016.

For me, mostly the characters. I love that they all have different personalities and they're all likeable in some way or another. It took me a while to actually stumble across Seb when I first started playing but I instantly fell for him.

then one day it pops out in my Steam Recommendation and I bought it right away!

I'm actually already be in Discord for a while for another game,
but then after playing SDV for a few weeks and linger in the forum I realize SDV also have discord and that's how I found this server :pufferblush:
- Which character from SDV do you identify with the most and why?
It will be my love, Sebastian! 💜
There's actually more into this but all I will say is that because Sebastian and me shared many same interest and view about things around us, not to mention what Sebastian's wear is what I wear as daily outfit as well~

My favorite thing about the game, hmmm... I can't really decide >~<
I love everything about the game but if I really have to say one, it will be how much freedom we have to process our crops even more.

There's a new VC channel, and a new bot sitting in it! We've been getting a lot of request from Zaph people to bring back a VC music bot, and we've finally gotten around to doing so. I apparently can't link to VC channels, but there is a new channel stardrop-saloon. For some of you who have been around for a little while, you'll remember that this is our Music Bot-only VC channel!
To use:
Join stardrop-saloon, and type your messages into #voice-text-1, the bot only accepts commands from there
It has similar functions to the old Gus, you can play a song with ;;play SONG, and see the whole command list with ;;help. Some of the commands are for the Admins only, but there are several that we think will be helpful. There is also a 15 minute limit on songs being added, but if we think people will behave, we might raise it.

As the decades ran on, humanity travelled to the stars. The process was slow and daunting, and with each small step that was made, the next step seemed to be far outside of their grasp. Yet, they accomplished it. Soon the planets and even other stars became inhabited by people and life. Earth, the cradle from which they all emerged from, became one of many and over time its special role amongst the heavens was forgotten. The languages and the people changed, and the resemblance to their ancestors began to slowly fall away.
But, as is the case with all things, its time came to a close. The Sun, the star which sparked the life now abundant across the galaxy, reached the end of its days. It swole to hundreds of times its previous size in one final act of rebellion, and in doing so, destroyed the birthplace of us all. But not all was lost, the people born on that planet had long been gone, and with them travelled a few artifacts, their meaning largely lost to time. This fate was not unique to our own Sun however, and as the aeons passed, the other stars throughout the sky began to go out, one by one, until none remained.
However, all was not lost. Humanity, or its descendants, are nothing if not resourceful, and learned to live amongst the remnants of the galaxy. Elaborate machines extracted energy from black holes, the only remaining source in the universe. On these stations, where no natural light remained, lies some text. No one alive has heard of Earth. Nor do they know of their heritage, or even what language this artifact is written in, yet it remains. The final legacy of humanity, so far from home:

Oh man I literally spent hours thinking…. It’s probably Harvey. I mean, I’ve been having mid-life crisis since I was like 17. I’ve been so caught up in a certain aspect of my life and most of the time I forget to have fun. One of Harvey’s heart events just reminds me of my f it I’m gonna do this moment. I have a fear of large bodies of water (not just the ocean.. lakes, sinkholes, pools, you name it). One day I just decided to go shipwreck diving (swapping around my diving partner like a squid of course). I am still afraid but mannnn I’m glad I did it. …is this off-topic lmao

Anyway, this bear comes from sunny ol' Scotland (they have bears there?) and totally doesn't have a janky microphone stand or anything. Also he was definitely never banned by Lewis in the past. Nope.
We asked him some questions and he gave us answers and somehow managed to type them even though his bear arms are big and strong and don't really have fingers. Amazing skills, Bear!
How did you find out about Stardew Valley?
Came up in my steam recommendations, I thought this looks like a chill game so I added it to my wishlist. At the end of the summer sale I still had cash going spare so I bought it then promptly burnt myself out by spending all my waking hours playing it.
What is your favorite thing about the game?
There's no forced pace that you have to go at, so you can be like and be shit and it can take you a few years to get the community centre finished and the game doesn't punish you.
What brought you to Discord?
I was invited to this cool new app, I was told it was like skype but better but what really sold me was the fact that it actually worked unlike skype.

It's been a wild ride. We've had 47 Farmers of the Week over the course of 14 months! We've spent dozens of seconds coming up with ideas of how to best show off our appreciation with the most dedicated members of our server. However, all good things must come to an end. We've been feeling for a while that FotW has been getting a little stale, so we've decided to take a bit of a hiatus from doing them. Will something else take its place? Will FotW return again someday? Maybe. But for now we're gonna take a break from it and see if we can't revamp things a little bit.

As we get closer to the day of spook and hope Mr. Skeltal to bless us with calcium and good bones, get ready to be disappointed because this is not a post about Spirits Eve Event but instead we bring you something we have been planning for a while. It's nothing else than W.T.F.! Wtf is W.T.F. you ask? Good question (many of you might not have asked this question but shut up you are getting an answer regardless) It stands for Weekly Terrific Farms! It's gonna be a weekly farm layout appreciation post, where you will be able to submit farm layouts every week and we will pick few layouts every week to showcase them to whole server. This week we highlight farms of two people who you probably know and you might think this week was rigged and you are right, it was. Here are two farms from our beloved farmers @flint ice and @deep geyser
We decided to spice things up by asking them questions about their farms. We asked Makco what he does with all the honey he gets, he told us he sells it all without processing! Can you believe the guy? He also added "Thanks to the magic of modding, the bee houses give me Fairy Rose Honey all year around! (except in winter)"
We asked Hershel on why there are so many crab pots on her farm! She told us about her dream of becoming a Crab Queen one day, and how she could never get any crabs, only snails. Her emotional journey of wanting to be a Crab Queen instead became accepting her title as Snail Queen. She also mentioned something about having luremaster profession and she cooks all the fish and recycles all the trash or something like that which we should probably ignore because who cares about efficiency.
Now you might be wondering how you can submit your farm. You can submit your farms by dming their picture to @strange ruin or dming me or any other staff member. If you can't take picture you can upload your save file to http://www.upload.farm/ and send us link to your upload.farm farm. We appreciate original farm layouts made by you people but if you encounter a really cool farm layout made by someone who you do not know you can still send those to us and we will take those in consideration as well! - you can submit to ALL of the tasks, but each task is limited once per person. i.e. you can do 7 things total.
- for the monster appreciation, you can do any visual art medium as long as it fits the theme
- for digital work and drawn work, all you have to do to prove it's yours is to sign it (username, initials, what have you.)
- for photographs, just have your username PHYSICALLY in the picture somewhere. like a piece of paper with your username on it and you holding it. please do not sign it digitally here.
- the pufferfish task is purely digital, have fun and make some spooky memes/art

- in monster appreciation month, you can put your spin on the monsters but the monsters must be in the game, they must be canon
- youtube is down at the moment, we will approve those entries when we can
- everything needs proof that it's you except for the music task. if it's digital art (or a digital meme), have your username in a corner. if it's traditional art, have your username on there somewhere. if it's a photograph, have your username written on a surface that we can see that is not digital. if it's nexus, make sure it's your account. i know this seems redundant but it takes like 2 seconds to put your name on something, it helps us a lot.

Here we are for the second week of WTF. As you might have noticed we have a new fancy banner(credit to Iris). We trapped so many wonderful farms this week. Our hamsters worked very hard to select the best farm layouts, but because all of them were so wonderful we decided to feature them all this week, so hide your cheese because this week we are featuring farms from @exotic prism And Rew, aka @remote pawn (haha get it cause his name is Andrew... no?). Yes, you heard it right, we are featuring all two of em!
A farm that was designed to balance aesthetics and productivity! Mousepounds has used many mods to make this farm look appealing. My personal favourite part of it is unquestionably the maze which incorporates the hedge fences mod! Mousepounds also added "Around the end of year 1, I tend to fire up the planner app and start playing around with different ideas. This character was originally going to be something of a completionist and collect a whole bunch of stuff. That's what the sheds in the bottom right are for. I just haven't gotten that far yet so they are mostly empty 😃"
A farm layout that makes me feel at ease :meowmelt:. But don't be tricked by its looks, there are some wacky stories surrounding it. After asking Andrew about it he said "You know those candy canes next to my farmhouse? its some frog guy who wont stop meditating there and i cant get rid of him. I kind of like him now so I am not complaining anymore. Looks really weird in summer though." I am glad froggo and rew are getting along well now!

We are back after a very spooky week, in fact it was so spooky it made us reschedule last weeks WTF. To make up for that we have decided to make few changes, from now on this will be hosted every week by our beloved fotw gif maker @rocky veldt! Haha, no, just kidding. You are still stuck with me and will have to deal with my awful sense of humor week after week. That being said we do in fact have some good news! From now on people who get their own farm featured here will get a special temporary role that they will keep until the next week! This is totally not former fotw role and we totally did not just rename it, I promise. This week we are featuring @toxic ginkgo's and @sharp acorn's farms!
Frozenmagicaster's Magical Crops Farm
I asked frozen to give me a tour of his farm and they had this to say "This farm is made to make one farmer become a multi millionaire in a few season, selling truffle oil, mayo and all animal products. If your more the hands on farmer who likes to get them seeds in the ground, you’ve got half of the farm to do that. In the bottom there are sheds full of kegs so you can triple how much money you make via making the crops into wine”. Also after asking why there were so many tiles on their farm they mentioned it helps them navigate at night.
Nyx Aki's Queen's Garden
When I visited Queen's Garden for the first and only time, I was greeted by slimes that decided to hug my legs. Nyx told me they were specially trained greeters who were trained in the art of hugging with passion. Later that day I had to visit a doctor cause of rashes. Mushroom cave was especially a delight to explore, it had multiple torches to lighten up the secret mushroom farm. Then we talked about how it took Nyx 11 years to finalize this farm layout but we can all agree, it was worth it. Then he mentioned that his farms name is a nod to Hollow Knight (editors note: everyone should go and play hollow knight) and we quickly became best buddies.
That's it for this week folks. But before we leave, all four people who were featured on WTF before this week will have the role for next week as well! We are finally starting to get more nominations per week so try to send those farms to us while we still don't have many nominations

What's up my dudes, this week we decided to make this more fun, so I did what a sane person would do and asked toe to assist me. She worked on everything this week while I bossed her around but of course I am gonna go ahead and take all the credit for this.

First stop, @tawdry vessel's farm. It's a long and draining walk up the hills. Really wears down your shoes, but mostly, your spirit. All the effort is worth it though, because @tawdry vessel's breathtaking estate stands tall on the rocky mountain terrain. We can finally ask @tawdry vessel what motivates him and truly drives him forward to be the succesful farmer that he is.
"The Everyday Mountain", he named it. Because the farming life, it's everyday bro.
I really wanted to get completion on mobile, so I tried to come up with a plan that allowed multiple kinds of specialization, while still being able to have fun and make money.
I actually got a couple people that stole the design from me.
The Reason I wanted to have a completion farm on mobile was because when stardew mobile came out, I wanted to be able to show of to all the noobs who were busy on their starter parship farms.```Truly words to live by, such wisdom and knowledge. Suck those tears up my friends, don't be crying just yet, because @quasi spoke's farm is worth seeing with your unobstructed eyeballs.
On a much easier to navigate domain lies @quasi spoke's peaceful farm, full of magical wonder.
It gives off a sense of stillness and tranquility. A similar feeling to listening to Lo-fi hip hop-beats to relax/study to.
"The MilkyBoy Farm" is the name! I hope it's soy because I am severely lactose intolerant.
The MilkyBoy Farm, this piece of land used to be a drought area generations ago, until an unknown goddess landed on this piece of land, blessed upon the local well and able to restore this barren. It still holds its magical properties until now, everyday the crops will be watered because of the well, it is well respected it became the local wishing/ceremonial well.

Wow what the heck is this? Changes on a Sunday night, do the staff have nothing better to do? Well lucky for you the changes are not that drastic this time. Just a few small updates to our #445729591533764620 and #445729663885639680 list.
First off we re-arranged the rules a bit, more specifically we swapped rule 3 and 6 and rule 4 and 7. Don't worry they're still the same rules but just changed for staff convenience and so the memes never die.
Secondly we added our 2 new staff members to #445729591533764620 with a little bio of their own and "Apple boi" next to their name. The Apple boi is only temporary until they get promoted to Admin if they decide to stick around.
And finally, in the friends section of #445729591533764620, we replaced the Witchbrook server with the official ChuckleFish server. One final thing we would like to address is if you previously left the server and lost all your levels but would like them back you're free to ask either us, the Junimo, or DM Bouncer.

Howdy mates, we are back with a new role color for <@&348424271795585025> to make it more winter themed! This week your beloved farmer Bee decided to assist me on.
Hai everyone, so happy to be helping zaph out with W.T.F. . Definitely worth the 5 minutes of effort I put into this. Loved the submissions this week ❤
We are only featuring one farm this week but fret not, it's a farm straight out of fairy tales and would satisfy all your farm needs. So pack your stuff and accompany us to @wintry swift's Star's Hollow Farm!
When we were invited to Star Hollow's Farm by our dear friend pookachu, we expected some run of the mill animal farm with tons of coops and barns and grassland with roaming chickens and cows. Much to our surprise we didnt get to see any of these animals during our visit, nor was the classic vanilla style of stardew valley present. It seemed like Pookachu transported us to an entire new world full of exotic animals and trees, topped off with beautiful buildings.
We were invited to their enormous mansion, which must have been three times the size of any house weve seen before. Despite the size, it did not feel empty at all. Every room was beautifully decorated with never before seen furniture and an in-door garden. As we sat down for tea, Pookachu kept praising her husband Sam, and her friends Ran and Jessebot who helped out immensely with the farm. We were just about to finish our tea and get to an in-depth farm inspection, when Pookachu showed us the crystal obelisk on her farm. Zaph of course had to touch it like the idiot he is, and he vanished immediately causing me and Pookachu to quickly rush out to the farm looking for our buddy.
As we searched the many coops and barns which had a bright Victorian aesthetic I had a hard time focussing on finding my missing partner while being surrounded by never before seen animals. There were no chickens or cows or dinosaurs here. Rather I found ostriches, truffle bears, peacocks, deer, squirrels and unseen breeds of cows, such as the Jersey and the Highland cow. Finally after inspecting every single building we finally found zaph in the last barn, laying on the wooden floor surrounded by animals who seemed very affectionate towards him. Never have I seen more joy on my friend's face as he was caught up in the group hug of a lifetime. After getting this dumbass all cleaned up in the beautiful lake in the backyard, we thanked Pookachu for this wonderful visit and went back to our home, a crappy year 1 spring farm.

Winter is finally here and as I was preparing for this week's weekly terrific farm I got a call from an old friend. A friend that I haven't heard from in over two years. Being a responsible adult I decided to abandon all my work and visit him and boy oh boy, it was totally worth it. Join me as I sip tea while recalling my time with Seaweed(@nova blaze).
Around 3 years ago, Seaweed told me he was quitting his job and moving to the country to take over his grandfathers farm, I thought he was crazy. As I helped unpack what few possessions he brought along, I noticed how overrun the farm was. it was absolutely covered in grass, rocks, and other debris.

Now, visiting it once again 3 years later, the change in scenery is unbelieveable. What was once a chaotic mess of shrubbery had been turned into an efficient but nature-focused farm. The trees Seaweed had planted along the river 3 years ago had grown and accentuating the river flowing through the middle of the farm, providing a relaxing, shaded spot to rest on a sunny day. Cherry trees and flowers littered the area around his home, and he had planted flowers leading up to his grandfathers grave, perhaps in thanks for the opportunity his grandfather had provided him.

Now, Seaweed is married to a local gal named Penny and has two kids of his own. He plans to teach his children how to farm and take care of the animals, and perhaps more importantly, how to appreciate the small pleasures that nature brings.

He tells me that one day, he hopes to have one of his children continue taking care of Oceana farm. Who knows what Oceana farm will be like 20 years from now?

Hello dear children, glad you all could make it to Granny Bee's Weekly Terrific Story Time (trademark pending).
You all made Granny Bee very happy with your farm submissions, and the wonderful mystical stories behind them.
However, one really caught my interest this week, and that was yours, @analog ingot, well done!
So, kiddos, gather around as we submerge ourselves into the story a little boy named Zaphrey, and how his life
changed forever as he stumbled across Fantasy Farm!
As the days got shorter and the nights got colder,
a little boy named Zaphrey was drearily looking at his pumpkin patch.
He hoped to harvest 9 beautiful pumpkins, but instead he woke up to one humongous pumpkin!
He cant show up with just one item, it would be an embarassment!
And he didnt have any other items to place in the grange either! Zaphrey was devastated,
and in an act of panic, he rushed into the woods to hopefully find some decent forage
items to place in the grange.
Zaphrey frantically searched the woods until he noticed a glimpse of light. He followed it straight into Fantasy Farm and got greeted by a farmer
named Sephiroth, attending their crops. She took a look at the young boy, still panting from running around. She decided to invite him to her farm
house for tea. Zaphrey carefully observed his surroundings. This farm was not like any farm he'd seen before. Looking north into the farm he saw
beautiful white buildings and two fields: one with wheat, and one with crops he didnt recognize. Southwest of the farm there was mostly darkness,
but he did notice a glimpse of light between the trees. Curious. When Zaphrey got the chance to catch his breath and got treated to some tea, he
asked Sephiroth about the farm. He told her it felt like he ran into a different world when he stumbled into Fantasy Farm.
Sephiroth smiled, she told him about how she always wanted to have her farm give off a fantasy vibe. Zaphrey asked about the light coming from the forest
southwest of the farm. She told him to follow her and ran off into the forest with Zaphrey in her trail. After walking through pure darkness for a while, they
arrived at an illuminated spot with a strange symbol in the ground, right next to a beautiful lake. The summoning circle, Sephiroth declared proudly. She told
him about the knights she can summon with this to protect her farm, all she needs is a clump of iron and a magic spell.
As much as Zaphrey enjoyed the magical farm, he realised how late it's become and decided to head back to his own farm. He thanked Sephiroth for her hospitality and
headed for the woods of which he came. It was already late at night when Zaph finally arrived home. He never got to go to the fair, however, looking at his giant pumpkin
he saw a note stuck on it. "What a wonderful crop! You would have easily won the grange display with this, such a shame you couldnt make it. I hope to see you next year!" -Mayor Lewis .
Zaphrey slapped himself in the face for being so stupid and went to bed. Next time he'll show up with the biggest pumpkin ever!
Whew, Granny needs a breather after that one. You all go out and have fun while I go catch up on some Desperate Housewives, and dont forget to keep working on those

In #445729663885639680 , I added the point about pinging ConcernedApe under the "what to avoid" and "advertising" section. I know some of you are confused as to why this is a rule, but to put it into perspective, this is one of the easiest ways for him to directly be in contact with the SDV community. Developers are constantly asked about bug reports or asked questions that have already been answered, and I would like this to be a place we discuss with CA rather than bombard him with requests.
He works hard on these issues as much as he can, and there are much more formal areas to address issues you might have, such as the bug reports thread in the forums and #vanilla-tech-support. Of course, there are situations he might encourage this, and in that case it's totally fine. You won't be banned for doing this unless it becomes spammy behavior; we just ask that you continue to be friendly and respectful, just as you would with other members.
On that note, though, we've added him to #445729591533764620 as well! We also reworded what the Junimo position is; we handle pretty much everything on the server, so please contact us if you need anything! Hopefully the clarified description helps out.

I made some miscommunication about the Monster of the Winter Star task which I will fix, but for now:
We will accept game assets, however they must show clear creative alteration and artistic work. This is an art contest and not a photoshop contest, so the more you take the characters into your own hands, the better. I just don't want the task to be flooded with photoshops that would be better in another task, such as the ornament one. Also, funny entries are A-OK, but memey entries aren't a right fit for the task. You won't be locked out of judging by submitting something with game assets, but it just has to be something to fit with our theme and something you put a lot of effort into.

I-is it safe to come out now? No more sirens, gunshots and crying babies?
Great, finally we can resurface after youtube rewind came out. Its been 13
days, and 4 of those were without food, water or wifi. That last one may
seem insignificant but dear lord you dont want to see Zaph without his
daily dose of cute animal videos and dumb memes. We prepared for the worst
but it wasnt enough. Nobody expected the horrendous catastrophe that was
Youtube Rewind 2018, except for one secret agency known as the "Youtube
Rewind sucks butt" agency, who hired agents all over the world to attempt to
reverse the effect of Youtube Rewind. Me and Zaph have been hired out here on
the fields of what once was Stardew Valley. A quick look around determines that
indeed, the world has turned into a nuclear wasteland: Destroyed buildings,
mutated beasts, some annoying guy called Prasston who keeps shouting that settlements
need our help,... time for us to look for other survivors and group up because god
knows me and Zaph wont be able to survive on our own. We couldn't open the cans
of soup in the bunker for the life of us without just throwing them against
the wall until they broke open. We took some dented soup cans, water and turned on
zap-boy 3000's with complementary kickass bee antennae that I designed and started
roaming the wastela- oh for Pete's sake this guy is even bothering us about
settlements on the radio.
Wait a second, where there are settlements there are survivors, which means that
Mr. Prasston might be useful to us. We followed the coordinates of the next
settlement he mentioned and arrived at a dark gloomy place, where no color or
light would show.
Discovered:

We noticed the icon of a survivor on our Zap-boy 3000, but when we arrived at
the indicated spot all we found was a tabby cat chilling in a heart shaped
field of sunflowers. Was this kitty the survivor? She jumped up and approached
us. While Zaph was desperately trying to hold in the urge to pat the kitty she
told us her name was @mossy latch and we are on her farm.
We explained to her that we were sent out to stop Youtube Rewind 2018
from ever happening. Ash's ears twitched up and she hurried off to the farmhouse.
When we entered the house we found Ash digging around in a bookcase and pulling
out a big book with a giant clockwork drawing on the front.
Luckily for us Ash turns out to have a time controlling clock but she only
managed to configure it so it would partially stop time and stop her farm
from decaying (unfortunately that didnt count for decay caused by a nuclear
armageddon). However, the book shows a passage about rewinding time which
she couldnt figure out. Luckily thanks to our superior intellect (and a
youtube tutorial) we could figure out a way to rewind time to exactly 21 days ago.
We stand in the same spot, except 21 days ago, 24 hours before Youtube Rewind
was released. The farm around us is free from nuclear waste and instead full
of love and care. the sunflowers in the heart shaped field are blooming, the
junimos are hard at work in the field, the bees right of the farm are hard at
work, and the animals are roaming a beautiful grass field in the southwest. I
shed a tear at this beautiful pre-youtube rewind landscape. But theres no time
to take in the sight, zaph and me have a mission. We ask ash for any potentially
deadly spots in her farm. She shows a menacing grin and leads us to a small building
between some oak trees. We hear cries and growls. No one made it out alive from there.
Perfect.We try to contact Will Smith about some crazy hip new fortnite dances and sure
enough he takes the bait. 4 vans full of youtubers we're supposed to know pull
up on the farm, we try to explain to them that our dance studio is between those trees
but theyre just staring at us with dead eyes while flossing. We can kind of just... push
them into the slime hutch and theyre not even fighting back. Are these even real people?
We shut the door and soon enough theres nothing left of those youtubers, except some
skeletons stuck in a dabbing position. Well, that concludes our mission. We walk
back to the clock, and before we leave we take one last look at Ash's beautiful farm
in all it's glory.
Once we arrive back in the present, we check the news on our Zap-boys. Youtube
had to hire a new cast including Pewdiepie and JacksFilms, diseases have been cured,
economies have been rebalanced. Youtube Rewind 2018 has the highest like to dislike ratio.
All is good in the world. We hug eachother and cry of joy. Everyone around us started clapping and-
Just kidding youtube just went with the next bunch of unknown hardly creative youtubers
and we landed in a super nuclear wasteland which was probably worse than the previous one.
Oh well, we tried our best and that's what matters ✨

I want you all to know that the staff team grows and changes along with the server. We understand that our rules seem intimidating and strict, and to be gone in 3 strikes, sometimes 2, is also nerve-wracking. From now on, we're going to start moderating with more context than before.
The action we take depends on the rule you break and why you broke it. Basically, if you make a mistake, we just want to help you understand. We're all humans and even if we read the rules, we will slip up sometimes, especially as we get used to the server. We want to help you get adjusted better and encourage a positive environment.
We do not enjoy warning or banning people, simple as that. If you do your best to behave in the server, we will do our best to help you too. Don't mistake this as us moderating less; everything that isn't allowed still isn't allowed, and our warning system is still the same. Nah, jk, she's just moving on to better things! Iris has moderated this server since nearly the beginning (waaay before i joined) and she has seen just about every change this server's done. Hey <@&222588384344801280> pals! There's a lot to go through today! We'll go through general statistics for funsies first and then we'll get to the real meat. We got 84 responses in the few days we had the survey open! All the information we gained is very helpful; thank you all for submitting your survey and for answering honestly and respectfully.
⭐ So, who's around #creative ? ⭐
Just about half of you are visual artists (42.9%)
A big chunk of you are lurkers (27.4%) and admirers (9.5%)
And we have a small but dedicated group of musicians (4.8%) and writers (8.3%).
Other artists not mentioned also have a small but dedicated number (7.1%)
⭐ What about #art-gallery ? ⭐
Most of you look at #art-gallery in some capacity, which is helpful for us to know. Many of you check it frequently (35.7%) and sometimes (38.1%) while some people don't check it often (19%) and never (7.1%)
Most people who don't check often due to real life and busy-ness, which is very understandable, while others who don't are caught up with the other two channels already. Most who do check it enjoy looking at everyone's art and catching up with what they might have missed in #creative.
⭐ What gets into #art-gallery ? ⭐
A massive majority of you who voted felt that art directly about SDV (NPCs, creatures, etc) and art that people say is related to SDV is good for the gallery (94% and 90.5% respectively). I was a bit confusing about this one, since I used the word "state" in two of the categories. Basically, if something might not be directly involving the canon of Stardew Valley, but is still an addition or exploration of that world, it would be allowed.
The same sentiment is repeated with OCs and #art-gallery . The highest vote was for the OCs to be a clear part of the SDV world (48.8%) and the second highest was for someone stating their OC was a farmer/part of the game (39.3%). The difference for these is as follows: One is very clear that the OC is in the SDV world, and the other is relying on statement entirely, so the art could look very different from SDV.
From the information we gathered, we're going clarify and state what exactly is allowed in #art-gallery :
Of course, anything directly SDV related is welcome in #art-gallery . Artwork of the characters, writing about the world, and music and remixes about the game are welcome. Any creative projects, as long as they are clearly relate to SDV, can be added to #art-gallery . Over half of you felt that sprite-editing and cosmetic mods for SDV should be added as well, so we will continue allowing that.
After discussion, we will not allow the two lowest votes from the survey: art that is inspired from SDV, and nature/farming related art that isn't tied to the game. We understand there are a lot of people who love the aesthetics of SDV, but to keep the gallery as SDV as possible, we feel it's better to leave these two out.
As for OCs, we're going to address a huge part of this survey: descriptions. The art of your OCs that you post need to be clear that they are part of the SDV world. We are not saying you can't draw your farmer a reference or anything, but we need information about them and why they fit into the SDV world. Sometimes posting a picture and stating it's a farmer is not enough, and it's often why we might accidentally skip over art, because we can't tell it's even SDV related! You have to understand as well that we've had cases where people have stolen art that isn't SDV related, said it was a character in the world, and had it added to the gallery. We want to avoid this. Please be clear and help us out.
Typically, we only add full art, or art that you won't mess with anymore. Let us know if you intend to finish something or not too, because we don't want to flood the gallery with WIPs, especially if you post them a lot. Pinning is still a manual process so we would like your help on what we can pin.
⭐ Suggestions about art and the Creative category ⭐
How about a second gallery?
There have been many suggestions about adding a second gallery for non-SDV art, or galleries for less common types of art, like writing and music. While these are nice suggestions, we most likely will not do them. There aren't enough pieces of writing/music to warrant a second gallery, and while there is plenty of amazing non-SDV artwork, we feel that adding more non-SDV sections takes away from what our server is about. A good alternative to see an artist's work that might not be in #art-gallery would be to use Discord's search and use the has:image in #creative .
How about a weekly showcase to highlight non-SDV stuff?
That would be fun, but we feel it would be unfair, too. Our favorite art is completely subjective and we don't want to encourage an environment where people will start posting stuff to get in the spotlight. We want people to be happy to share and for it to be more relaxed. This also goes back to the point above, of us being primarily SDV focused as a server.
Maybe in future contests we can post some non-SDV stuff?
Faces the same issues as above, but sometimes we might have a task that people have a lot of freedom with. This is something we have to talk more about.
Another channel specific to a type of art?
Same as non-SDV stuff, we feel having a channel for non-SDV art would detract from our intentions in the server and might also fracture the community. There are plenty of artists who do ONLY SDV art and plenty of artists who do NOT do SDV art. We would like everyone to be on common ground.
As for different discussions, like those who would like to discuss cosmetic mods or having help with them, this is something we're still going to talk about. We aren't implementing this now but we will discuss more and see what the demand is regarding needing another channel.
Keep wips only in #creative-discussion ?
So everyone's on the same page, you're allowed to post WIPs in both #creative AND #creative-discussion , it's just that you can talk about it better in discussion. We don't encourage people to have conversations in #creative beyond briefly commenting on a posted work.
However, if this is something many of you would like to keep the category more organized, we welcome more feedback regarding this. Right now, we aren't changing anything, but we're up for more discussion on allowing WIPs.
On the discussion note as well, we've noticed people have been talking a lot more in #creative . Keep your comments brief, and if you'd like to ask questions or go more in depth, please go to #creative-discussion . Thanks!
⭐ Comments/Questions within the Survey ⭐
Is my SDV art being skipped over on purpose?
No, absolutely not. Adding art to #art-gallery is still something we comb through #creative to do, and there are many reasons your art might have not been added:
- No one has seen it yet.
- We can't tell it's SDV related.
- It's a WIP and it's unclear if you're going to post a finished product or not.
- You didn't post your art in #creative .
- You used a website link to post your art instead of embedding/using Discord's links.
- We missed it on accident.
You can always let us know if we skipped your work on accident and we'll re-add it. If we didn't add it but saw it, there's a decent chance that we couldn't tell it was SDV related. Earlier in this post we talked about descriptions, which should help this situation, same with WIPs. Please know that your art may be up for a few hours before it gets added; it depends on when staff are around.
Why does this person have Artisan, while this person doesn't?
Artisan gets added in waves, and usually only by me (Magically Clueless). This isn't the most efficient way, and I might miss someone who otherwise deserves it, but it's never on purpose.
I used to have the "Don't ask me for Artisan" rule because a large chunk of people would post art, get Artisan, then never post art again, which got frustrating. But, I can't keep up with everyone posting art on the server, so it's okay to ask me if you qualify and I'll look through your stuff to confirm you can get the role. If you don't, you can always try again later. I'll edit this in #445729591533764620 later.
To get Artisan, you need to be at least level 25, have SDV art in #art-gallery , and you need to be relatively active in #creative or #creative-discussion . You don't have to do exclusively SDV art to keep the role but please don't do stuff just to get the role. At the end of the day, it's a yellow name and it's not a big deal if you don't have it. I tend to remove inactive artisans in waves too.
Good to note that in #445729663885639680 we state that leaving the server/using an alt account loses you your special roles; this includes Artisan. Hang around and continue posting your art and you might eventually get it back, but rejoining the server won't net an immediate return of your special roles.
Lastly, if someone has Artisan and they shouldn't, like, they have never posted anything SDV related, this is a mistake. If you see a mistake, report it to us. We cannot read your minds and the human error exists even within administration.
Some of this art makes me uncomfortable, maybe it shouldn't be allowed?
Firstly, we're sorry that anything in the server has brought you discomfort. We want this to be a welcoming place for everybody, and it's not fun if that happens. We try to keep art off the server that isn't appropriate or fitting, however, we feel that a large majority of art that is posted is within the server's rules.
We can't prevent everything that makes people uncomfortable, but you can still ask us if it's something that's allowed, or report anything that you feel isn't appropriate. Otherwise, we hope everyone can continue to get along. If there's a topic that's allowed in the server that you are not a fan of, please be respectful. The same applies vice versa.

Right now we're having server issues, most likely because we reached an online user cap. We never quite anticipated how eggcellent out egg hunt event would be with everyone. We had a talk to Yoba and his mystical sky chook and they have promised that eggs will appear more than the 5 times per day average originally promised. It will at least appear 5 times per day but not even Yoba knows how many can happen in one day!
On a serious note, seeing as egg drops are more frequent the staff do want to reiterate the importance of good sleep habits. We have noticed some of you staying up for this event and it's a little concerning. Yoba is making sure that the egg drops happen across all timezones so everyone gets a fair chance and hopefully a good night's sleep

Since slow-mode has been going well and we often find people move to #stardew-spoilers or #images-and-memes to post images, we figured we could make it easier for you! Treat the usage of images as you would in #stardew-spoilers and #adventurers-guild - on topic only! If you want to randomly share stuff, #images-and-memes is a much better alternative. Also, you must be a villager to be able to post images.
2.) We've added a line about loud noises/screeches in VC and videos into the "What to Avoid" section of #445729663885639680. Basically, don't post videos with screeching intended to shock or harm someone's hearing, and you will also get in trouble if you screech or mic spam in VC. Thanks for understanding!
3.) We've clarified the ConcernedApe line in #445729663885639680. The rule is the same as it was before, but hopefully more understandable. You can ping ConcernedApe, but please do not abuse this and make it a last resort when it comes to having questions about the game. Chances are, other people can help you first. First off server level ranks. The numbers here are quite surprising. We have quite a lot of lurkers in this server. The most among you are Villagers!
What about the other roles? How do they fare on the markets? We are seeing an upwards trend of Modders but a sudden growth in Spring roles has seen a significant market shift.
Looking to the currencies now and not a lot of love in the air as Valentines is down by 8 but all the other seasons are seeing a strong gain especially with Spring which is our strongest gainer on the markets.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, Weekly Terrific Farm is our weekly farm appreciation post where you submit your farm layouts and we pick the ones we like the most. The winner gets a pretty colored role for a week ( <@&348424271795585025> ) as well as a post written about them and their farm in #bulletin-board!

Hello, everyone! Discord has been rolling out a "Server Boost" feature and it has reached us at last. Since we're partners, we already have a fraction of the perks, but you can check what we have by clicking the drop-down on the "Stardew Valley" banner and clicking on "Nitro Server Boost". To boost, you need $10 nitro or grandfathered/early supporter nitro. You are allowed 1 boost, and you can change your boost to any server with the feature with a 7 day cooldown period.
Discord provides you perks for boosting, like a role and a badge in the sidebar, and with enough people boosting, adds perks for the server. If you feel these are attractive perks, you're more than welcome to boost. However, we will not provide any special channels or other services to those who boost; just our thank you for supporting us. You absolutely do not have to go out of your way to get nitro for us! Please just do what is right for you; we're not going to encourage or force anyone.
Since 2 of us have boosted already, we're already level 1 which means we have 50 more non-animated emotes and 50 more animated emotes available. As we increase tiers, we'll have a lot more emotes to add. We may hold contests for these in the future as well as take your suggestions of what to add. (Maybe we can actually fit every villager this time?)
If we get a server banner, we also may showcase random fanart from our server there. Let us know if that's something you're interested in.

We've been able to take care of it so far, but to ensure we'll never get these posts we've opted to change our method. For now in order to talk in the server, you need a verified phone number. If you don't have access to a phone or any device that can verify your account, please message any Junimo or @strange ruin and we will give you the villager role, thus allowing you to post. This does not affect anyone already in the server with a villager role.

It's a phishing scam; if you see someone posting any kind of link that isn't discord.gift, it is a scam. Do not click it. Nitro gifts only appear in specific ways on Discord as embeds, and the links are from Discord's domain only. Use common sense, don't click any suspicious links and instead report them to Discord.

Giving everyone a heads up, we're going to be changing how #multiplayer-lfg-old runs in the next day or so, so be prepared for that! A basic rundown of what we're going to do:
- It will no longer be a chat channel (sorry, folks! however from what we've watched in the channel, people very rarely engage in conversation other than looking for a game)
- A posting format to recruit people to your game/ looking for a kind of game you want will be encouraged instead
- There will be a time limit on how often you can post (so your posts will be very visible and you can edit it to change the status of your game)
With the upcoming 1.3 for console we want an easier way for people to get access to people they want to play with. Trust me, people have requested to us many, many times that they want roles for the version of games they play, or separate channels for each console. We think enforcing a more format type of channel will remedy this issue much better, since people aren't guaranteed to look at your roles but are guaranteed to read your recruitments.
As always, we welcome feedback, but we have handled the channel for a long time and we believe this is a good step to go in. We may adjust it over time, but just bear with us as we make it the easiest for everyone playing multiplayer!

3.) We do not handle off-server disputes between players. Make your game's rules clear, and if they disobey those rules, kick them, reset your day, and block them if you have to. We do not tolerate people bringing the arguments to this server and it will likely result in a warning. Please be responsible and respectful.
4.) If your post is still visible/recent in the chat, don't re-post your information. We trust people to not take over the chat with a single invite, and we will adjust the times if needed.

If that doesn't work then Armageddon is upon us and you should probably contact @strange ruin to let us know so we can properly prepare and hide in our bunkers. Ladys and gentleman a moment of your time please. I want to pay tribute to a dear thing we lost 7 months ago under the cruel tyranny that is this servers moderation. Weekly Terrific Farmer was so young and so cruelly taken away from us. May it continue to rest on in the greener pastures.

Where in the World does Weekly Terrific Farmer take us today?
Having waited at the airport for the prima donna Bee to finally collect his six different suitcases and the four hour drive where Toe was regaling us with how Tay Tay has more taste than Adelle ever will, Zaph, Toe, Bee and myself find ourselves at a quite stunning location.
Farmer @past tapir or Bob as his friends call him and his most splendid and majestic beard greeted us our arrival. Mr. Bob’s farm was full of life and colour it really took us away. Bob told us some history about his farm and how it is a heritage listed plot of land he inherited from his grandfather. It got abandoned for quite a few years and nature started to take over some of the buildings, sprouting some of the most beautiful and fragrant flowers we have ever seen. Needless to say, Bee fell in love with them.
After inheriting the farm Bob told us he quickly went to work to restore it but also keeping it’s natural grace. He showed us the brand new greenhouse that he built with some help from some little helpers too! Just then a loud gong sounded over the farm! We then noticed a big solid gold clock. That must have costed Bob A LOT of money!
We then asked Bob the controversial question we ask every farmer. Are you a dog person or a cat person? Mr. Bob declined to answer our question and insisted that he show us around his farm. Seemingly annoyed with this answer, resident crazy cat man Zaph disappeared and reappeared with a bus load of kitties.We were scared to ask Zaph where he managed to find so many kitties in such a short span of time but we let it slide.
Zaph then proclaimed that it was NATIONAL KITTEN DAY!!! We all (or rather Zaph) decided that we would celebrate the day at Bob’s farm! Poor Bob, I hope he doesn’t have cat allergies! We stayed up all night and partied and gave all the kittens lots of pats and scratches.
Wowie! What a day we had! I sure am exhausted from all those cats. How are you celebrating National Kitten Day? We would love to see all your kitten pics in #images-and-memes!

🛬 Having spent literal days removing cat hair from every imaginable place possible and according to Toe, lots of angry fan mail addressed to her about her lack of screen time last week, this week’s terrific farm takes us to @vestal dock fantastic farm!
At first we thought we were seeing double and you could be forgiven for thinking so too! Miss Fawny’s farm was so well organised and laid out that you didn’t have to go far to find exactly what you wanted. That didn’t stop wannabe fashion idol Toe from taking a few “selfies”. Apparently Bee, Zaph and myself were too “ewww” to appear in Toe’s blog. We tried not to take it too personally.
Expert decor designer Bee asked Miss Fawny about her choice in colour for use in her farm. Fawny said she was inspired to use blue as it was a very cool and welcoming colour and she wanted everyone on her farm to feel as relaxed as possible.Bee nodded his head approvingly and that's when he noticed the many apiary’s that surround the farm. Bee managed to catch up with crazy Aunt Susy and his cousin’s brother’s uncle twice removed, Bruce.
Poppy then introduced us to her husband, Sebastian. Sebastian seemed a bit nervous around us but offered that we stick around some more and he host a Farmers and Fruitcake session. Toe rolled a slime, Bee a junimo, Poppy a concerned ape and myself as a skeleton.
Just as we started to clear the dungeon and reach the final monster, Zaph appeared out of nowhere. We were fairly sure Zaph wasn’t on the flight with us so it was a little concerning how he managed to track us down and find us but we decided to let that slide. He had some drinks with him and suggested that we sit for some afternoon tea. We agreed even though it was unusual for Zaph to do anything nice for any of us. Toe spent a good thirty minutes trying to find “the perfect shot” for her drink while the rest of us enjoyed the oddly sweet 🍹 that

Hey everyone, we've made a slight change to the rules, which mostly affects how we handle rule 1.
Instead of 2 warnings under the same rule giving a ban, we're going to have 2 warnings under the same action (which means if you break rule 1 twice under different reasons, you will have 2 warnings instead of a ban). This mostly just affects rule 1 since it's our much broader rule, but everything else is staying the same. You will still be banned for 3 warnings or repetitive trollish behavior. How different an action is is under staff decision and not up for public discussion.
To recap, this gives people who are trying to stay in the server an extra chance that they might not have under our previous rule. We still expect you to follow our rules and to ask questions if you ever need help.

Our Jukebox bot has had their source code completely changed(some of you might recognize it, still self hosted, though), and with it, some MAJOR stability/quality improvements, feature additions, and incrementation of number.
As a result MANY commands have changed. If you use Gus on the regular, be sure to check the pins in #stardrop-saloon.
And no, you do not need to kick Gus after ever jam session anymore.

Hi everyone ! We just wanted to take a moment to clarify some things about the development of Stardew Valley.
Stardew Valley is self-published and made 100% by ConcernedApe and is completely owned by ConcernedApe LLC. He started his own small team to continue development, and none of them are from or affiliated with Chucklefish. He and his team do all the development and publishing on every platform. Chucklefish used to publish the console and mobile versions of the game, but they have never owned Stardew Valley.
Witchbrook is another game published by Chucklefish, and it is not by ConcernedApe, which is a common misconception. Please keep these things in mind!

Please let me know, or send to Bouncer, if you want your work to be added to the SDV blog if you haven't. This applies for the art, writing, and modding tasks. We won't do anything without your permission, so if you don't want your work to be showcased, don't worry about it! @remote pawn has been swapped over to the Halloween tracks from the October event as a background Radio. 
There appears to be some confusion when it comes to this and why a few commands have been dropped.
This is intentional. No, Gus isn't broken again, he doesn't do that anymore. We had a talk. There was crying, but I think we made some real headway with his NukeBot recovery. 
But it will be reversed when the radio completes.
(Ranchers and Adventurers still have access to the ;;playnext command so it isn't impossible to add tracks.)

Just a reminder for all our fellow modders, 1.4 for PC is 4 days away! If you'd still like to be able to play 1.3.36 with all your mods intact after the update, now is the time to back up your game folder! Once you've found it (see https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Game_folder for how to do that), you can just make a copy of the entire Stardew Valley folder to anywhere you like and launch the game directly from that folder.
That way you can install the 1.4 update and enjoy all the new stuff, while still having the current version to play on the side if you're waiting for your favorite mods to be updated :)
