It is more simple than what you think

Moss tree gives moss around it. Mushroom logs have more chances to spawn good shrooms if they are near a pine tree or oak. That is it.

Maple trees give more red shrooms which you do not want since they are not processable. I still put 2 of them bc I do not care much. It could be more optimized.
