SC runs

Farming is great, but happens way less often than SC runs. You only get xp while harvesting which can take some time. I am not saying it does not give a lot of xp, but if you have been planting starfruits, you would only get xp every 10 days at best. While SC runs can happen every day.

It's higher effort but higher reward, versus farming (including animals) being close to passive

Still wanna do a lot of farming to gain EXP, so that it can finally overtake fishing in the end. Animals are still worth EXP tho (5 for petting and 5 for collecting egg/milk/product)

Versus crops giving EXP based on sell value (Parsnips are worth 8)

If you find a very fast sword, faster than the scythe, it is worth using that. I find using the axe does help much except if you are after fiddlefern things. They are ok but for Y2 you should have better things to process. Green rain is for moss to me.
