Talk to the bird in Leo’s house.
Ask to Leo's parrot ?
it’s stopped giving me hints
Oh, it may stop telling you once you've unlocked everything
yes i know but because i haven’t touched the game in 8 months i don’t know which ones i got and which ones i didn’t
no, there’s just a couple it doesn’t give hints for
i know one walnut i’m missing is from getting a really good score at the pirate game, but i suck at it
Sounds like a good time to try using Stardew Checkup
It's a web applet that lets your computer scan your save file and tell you what is and isn't missing
!checkup
Curious about your in-game achievement status? Tracking perfection? Stardew Checkup can help you find what you’re missing. BEWARE OF SPOILERS. https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-checkup/
too late 🫠
Oof
Because if you don't hire the parrot, you can get a "No Joja Services used!" tag in the curtain call after perfection
WHAT
oh well
i would rather just achieve perfection for the first time than suffer trying to get the last walnuts
i got to see Morris’s thick thighs
Yeah, it scrolls by with an image of Morris planted headfirst in the ground, presumably wherever he landed after Pierre uppercutted him
People will be pointing fingers at you
...And saying "relatable, fuck that last walnut tbh"
People, what a bunch of nerd gamers
based on what i’ve seen on reddit, “it was worth it for the last few walnuts” is the general consensus on the bird
wait you mean you guys don
't spend 1.5 mil to get all the walnuts in 5 minutes?
._.
I haven’t even made 1M total yet.
Yeara for the next book??
1.5 came out in 2020. And 1.6 this year. So if 1.7 ever happens, it'll most likely be years until that comes out
Especially since he'll be working on haunted chocolatier after 1.6 comes out
^^
If I do a challenge where I can only leave my farm on festival days, do you think the dog or cat is better for gifts?
knowing concerned ape, 1.7 would start off as a QoL update but spiral into a big content update that takes way longer 😂
will the trees will go back to normal?
yes
oh nice
I read now because you didn't ping/quote me lol, so I guess I'll buy the next version.
Do you guys have an idea more or less when the next version of the book can be out?
moss trees will remain being moss trees
by moss trees I mean the special ones. Not just trees that have moss on them
so I need to chop them if I wanted the normal tree again?
Yeah
They have a chance of dropping mossy seeds though, so you can replant them elsewhere\
thanks for the information
This type is neat since putting a tapper on it will produce fiddlehead ferns every other day
No problem!
Oh, also, mossy trees increase the chance/speed of moss of trees around them
@twilit orchid WAIT!
It turns out im wrong
New mossy trees will reamin, BUT, if they transformed a preexisitng regular tree, they will turn back to normal
my bad 😅
naisu
Hm? No, they turn to regular trees afterward even if the green rain spawned them directly
I was finding pines in weird places for days after green rain
I already corrected myself
That's because green rain causes normal trees to appear and grow as well
Some turn back, some remain moss trees. I've got a mixture of both after a green rain.
I'll have to check my tree farm again. No mahogany trees turned: I have a solid grid of mahogany trees. But my oaks and maples seem to have moss trees in the grid spots I planted seeds. I could be wrong. I haven't looked that closely.
are mossy seeds new in 1.6
yes
what do they do
ok
The drops from the trees are fairly valuable when sold too
Reading the wiki, it sounds like converted ones always turn back and brand new ones remain
Going by the even mahogany trees, on further reflection, I'd say you're right. I'll have to check the maples and oaks, which I didn't fertilize and haven't all grown yet. That part is a real patchwork and that probably had me drawing a wrong conclusion.
When I first had Green Rain, zero mutant trees remained on the subsequent day. Every last one of them became regular trees until Fall, which can mutate existing trees as a separate thing
now that's a treasure chest
Wowza
Interesting. I had mutant trees all over the place after both Green Rains.
Who even cares about the fish
Holy cow!! That's ONE chest?
one
I do not remember ever seeing a fish inside a chest
Collateral damage in pursuit of t r e a s u r e
I was fishing for stardrop tea
full inventory
7 to be exact
Must've caught a shark. 😆
Looks like a chub
didnt know you get get fairy dust
from golden treasure chest
@edgy raptor
@lyric sparrow at least do squid fest year 1 for these rewards
trout derby rewards are fun but mostly novelty
the prize ticket is good tho
nvm I lied
you dont get a prize ticket lol
I've decided, after consulting the Wiki, that selling books back to the bookseller is less valuable to me than the XP applied to my Mastery XP. Am I missing something important about selling? Because none of the items you get in trade really dazzle me.
Also, just got second Mastery. First was Farming. I'm wanting Mining second, for that big furnace recipe.
(But you get a really ugly bucket hat)
After you've hit max mastery, thats when you would sell
Also, some of the trades are neat
I watched a guy do a challenge where he couoldnt craft and he used the bookseller to get monster musk
You can get 8 fairy dust from a book of stars!
I might have done that earlier, but I recently got the recipe, so I've made my own.
The Jelly trades are also nice. Also the artifact troves and the slime press/incubator
Monster Musk, not Fairy Dust.
you can also trade for it with raccoons once theyre max level
fairy dust
I don't do slimes, and get so many omnis that artifact troves are easy.
The 7 mystery box trade aint bad since they can be turned into gold ones
You should at least one one slime egg press. The eggs sell for a lot
Green - 1,000
Blue - 1,750
Red - 2,500
purple - 5,000
(you cant get tiger eggs from egg press)
But the Slime Hutch is so damned ugly and takes up too much space for what little money it brings in.
Just chuck it in your house and drop off 100 slime after every SC run lol
you can trade for a slime press from the bookseller
you dont need to buy the hutch
You could also always dismantle the hutch
(wait i forgot you can also jsut craft the egg press. I was thinking of how the incubator recipe is from buying the hutch)
I'm using my slime for Monster Musk. And I don't hunt slimes, I avoid them as a general waste of time in SC, and only kill them when they get in my way during dust sprite farming.
(nvm Im wrong on that too)
I kill slimes in SC since they can drop iridium
Also, I like using Napalm ring + Burglars ring so killing monsters is always a plus
Not enough to make them waste my time on them once I can staircase past those initial levels. Combat is a waste of time in SC, so I avoid it. My goal is hundreds of iridium and whatever other loot I can get.
From bomb mining.
I like to kill enemies that have good loot
like mummies
I also get a good amount of prismatic shards from enemies
Carbon ghosts as well
And napalm ring makes ladders/holes be uncovered a lot quicker
Off topic but how are raisins consumed? Is it based on crop amounts, days, or both?
So 10 cherry bombs to destroy tree?
People keep showing up asking how to get more jelly, so yeah the jelly trades are handy
I'm not mining with a pick. I'm bomb mining. Staircase down past 100 before starting. Only stop on floors with lots of ore nodes. Run around laying down bombs in big caverns, or use my slingshot with explosive ammo to blow up ores close to walls. Grab the results, staircase out.
No futzing around with mobs. I'm not there for them or their drops.
This is a middling SC run. I'll be getting twice the iridium, and eventually 3x once I get enough staircases. Combat is a waste of time for me in SC. I don't care about mob drops. I'm there for ores.
Damn
I got over 600 iridium on my sc to 1000+ run
explosive ammo with master slingshot op
It sure is.
plus it's great at ruining friendship too
There are guys who do pause buffering and can come back with stacks of iridium. I don't bother, but anything close to a full stack for me is a VERY good day.
I mean what do you even do with that much iridium
it's good money
Some folks have fun selling iridium bars, but I'm not convinced the expense in bombs is worth it. I was making crystalariums for a diamond empire. Ended up with over 9000 crystalariums making diamonds.
I was doing an SC runs a few times a week, then down to two and eventually only one day a week, all of it regardless of luck. Because the more crystalarium sheds I made, the tighter my schedule became. Once it was all done, there was NO time for SC runs or anything but unloading diamonds and making wine. It was a serious grind.
I ran calculations before
Assuming 150 bombs, you only need around 110 iridium to break even in y1
125 in y2+
If you can consistently get 200+ its a net profit
Though I ran the calculations under the assumption that I would farm all my iron
energyless stardew is one of the most interesting challenges I've ever done
Ore or bars
Ore
Cave jellies are a pain.
And after I went to the trouble of putting detailed explanations and strategies for all of them on the wiki...
It easily is if you start deep enough and use Blacksmith profession. So long as you hit at least 2 nodes per megabomb, you're already turning a small profit - nothing to write home about, but more than enough to cover your costs. And at lower levels, you're often looking at closer to 10 nodes per mega bomb, which is around 30 ore on average with Miner, or as much as 40 if you also have bonus ore from Statue of the Dwarf King.
For every 40 ore, smelted in heavy furnaces, you get 8.8 iridium bars on average, selling for just over 13k. That's a profit of 12k per megabomb, which is well worth it.
Thanks. I trust you and your math. I hadn't bothered doing it yet.
I needed all those resources in my last save, so I wasn't selling anything.
Plus, I took the position of, "Sell an iridium bar, get paid once. Turn it into a crystalarium, get paid every five days forever."
do the squids appear all day during squidfest or only at night?
For sure, although if you want a big cash injection now, SC is generally the fastest way in the game to earn money quickly
It's also a lot more fun.
The materials to make a crystalarium ship for ~5k if you have Blacksmith
Duping Diamonds with Gemologist, you're still looking at around a season in-game before the Crystalarium covers its own cost
Well worth it for casual playthroughs, but if you need that money in a few days rather than a month to hit some deadline for a challenge run? Just sell the resources
oh that's pretty nice
All day.
Gold ore is common in SC. Enemies drop solar and void essence in there as well. You can craft mega bombs on the fly.
Cool TY
Cool. Not something I would have thought of when I needed more gold than iridium for all those crystalariums.
I just buy the gold from Willy via treasure bobbers TBH
Worst case scenario, I get my money back by selling the excess bars
It costs 375g per bar when deconstructing purchased treasure hunters, which is how much gold bars sell for with Blacksmith
So if I end up with an excess, at least I only wasted my time
Same. I had deconstructors and hoppers running Treasure Hunters 24/7 for years. Still, every little bit of gold helped.
Solar panels are also gold-expensive, and very important since 1.6 patched storm chaining with totems
do shears and milk pails use energy?
a little bit
Dang that will be rough for my no energy run
Just buy an auto grabber.
Or find one in an SC treasure chest. I found two and saved 50k.
But that was luck, of course. Still no luck with auto-petters.
But I've yet to do an treasure-room run. Working on building up the required staircases.
I found one before getting the red cabbage seed.
Today I've learned that changing your innate enchants in the forge is random
you can reset the day until you get exactly what you want
1.6 also just straight up buffed solar panels too
Now the desert is entirely its own location with its own underlying weather instead of like “reskinned” mainland weather
So solar panels work constantly there now
That is so star-spangled awesome!!
Oh what really
So wild trees will also grow there in winter w/o fert?
didn't know that!
but I did notice that wasn't the case in 1.5, didn't realize that it would be significant enough to patch tbh
Huge if true
Haven’t tested but could be, also weather≠season tho
So the seasonal limits may be the same just ported over
May be valuable to check
I did all of the Raccoon quests but didnt get the achievement?
I only got two quests, then it was "I need a wife", then the wife shows up, they offer stuff for trade, now it's "Now we need kids" or somesuch. Still waiting for another quest.
have you seen the raccoon cutscene with all the babies? I believe that's when I got the achievement, when I went back to the forest and saw the cutscene
They have all of their babies (4) but I never got a cutscene
Should be 9 raccoons (2 adults and 7 kids).
Is there a one week wait after the last quest?
Hmm not sure how many days (I didn’t really count it), but new quest will pop up as soon as new babies raccoon appears
8 kids
even after finishing all the quests, it can sometime take a while for the cutscene to show up
Ah right, 9
Sheesh - I can see why the Burgler's Ring is gated behind dust sprites
It's straight up bonkers
2 Ectoplasm on the first ghost kill
i completely forgot about the roe book.
i just caught the Legend II and while the gold star fish is worth $11k, I got $10k worth of roe with it
(as well as a golden animal cracker for that extra $1k)
I mean it didn’t help you at all with that
It just gave you a second, useless ectoplasm
Yes, but one kill and home free
No farming needed
And 8 bat wings is silly
Okay yall, so with ginger island im abt to unlock it but i read that I can go into willys shop at 8am. is this true?
2 weeks until full release so exciteddddd
yesss!
Yes, after unlock the island
ok thanks!
It didn’t affect that though, it just doubled the drop. If you didn’t have the ring you would have gotten the ectoplasm too just a single one
It doubles the number of loot rolls
I just hit the loot roll + the power book or double loot
(Ok that was a dumb typo)
Yes, but that’s not how it works for the ectoplasm
Ectoplasm is a 100% drop from a chance monster as opposed to a chance from any monster
The monster that drops the ectoplasm is predetermined when you enter that floor, it was not affected at all by burglar besides dropping the second ectoplasm (which is always will because it’s a 100% to drop from that monster)
Fair - I guess I just got silly lucky in the end
But I still enjoy the giant pile of loot pinatas it turns enemies into
12 days, 23hrs, 58 min and counting
I mean if you’re counting minutes do know it’s dependant on time zone
Won’t drop at 12am either
And the smart thing to do is wait 8 hours so if there's some gamebreaking flaw that slipped through, it's someone else's problem /jk
do the fiddlehead trees disappear after the green rain? i kinda forgot honestly
Yes
Does console get quickfixes?
I thought the issue with console is that once a bug is in it's in semi permanently
V1.6.1 through V1.6.9 are the quickfixes
It's why the console and mobile release were held back
With consoles you need to go through a lengthy verification process, so releasing on PC first and fixing all the bugs first is a good solution
IIRC V1.6.7 bricked the game and V1.6.8 fixed it the same night, I believe
Idk about bricked but it had some big bug
And yeah it was fixed near instant
Which wouldn't have been possible on console and people could be stuck with a game breaking bug for weeks
Game crashed if an NPC went to use the Ginger Island resort. Saves became unplayable because the only way to stop them from doing this is to shut down the resort on the previous day... And the resort would be open on that day
Now imagine that but you're stuck with it for like 2/3 weeks because the next update that fixes it would need to be verified on all the platforms
Publishing on console sucks
Especially on nintendo platforms where they have like very strict requirements
This is why playing beta is invaluable and testing phase should not be underestimated.
PC release is like an open beta itself
Oh the uh countdown I made is just till 4th Nov Seattle time, I don't know the time it'll drop soo I just put midnight xD
I wish those that I saw complaining on reddit understood that reason for the wait.. I remember telling people that it could brick the console but noo.. they still got annoyed at the lack of communication.
People got too bull-headed there.
Oh and another note on my countdown, I'm in Australia so it's like another day for me on top.. though I guesstimate it'll drop in the evening for me. Or early afternoon.
haven't seen this one in a bit
you guys think we'll get the console version update on PC the same day, or a bit eariler to test out some bugs before release?
We'll have 1.6.9 on console, bu whether or not it'll come out on pc at the same time is a mystery
I wanna say that ideally, PC releases maybe a week earlier so we can possibly spot any (more) gamebreaking problems like the 1.6.7 thing. But I don't know whether console is porting the code directly (if it isn't, the bugs may not be the same across versions), and I think I heard that mobile definitely does not. Hm...
There is a 1.6.9 beta on pc that anybody can participate to. Game breaking bugs are already being reported, and have been for several weeks.
(Yeah, testing the beta would be great if you have time!)
It’s already in testing for public beta
I mean, technically it's not a public beta
You do need to be specifically approved to join it
I did nothing
They just approve basically anyone 😛
And I played the beta
You had to use the unlock private beta mechanism in Steam
Quick question
I got a farming book but I'm already level 10 in farming
Do I sell it, read it or
I'd save it for when you get to the Mastery Stage. Then the XP you get from it will count.
wait until you unlock mastery
When you read it.
Bet
I'm not impressed by the items you get in trade for any of the books.
I'd rather have the Mastery XP
if you get a lot of books early on their nice
but that's it
The wood one gives a bunch. If you trade it is worth it. Others are questionnable. They make loved gifts. Usually selling them is worth more.
Also books that get transformed into xp books after they gave you a power, give less xp than dedicated xp tome. There is no way to know that.
Monster compendium and book of stars might be worth it. Already read power books only give 100 xp in a skill which is nothing, while dedicated xp tomes give 250.
30 deluxe baits for Bait and bobber might be the worse one.
I'd argue woodcutter's weekly is even worse
100 wood is nice but...
it costs 250 foragining exp
I never have enough wood, while I often have way too much deluxe baits.
at least fishing exp is easy to get in mass amounts
jewels of the sea trade can be nice if you get cave jelly
I think I have never used the dish called Stuffing. At least crab cake gives you speed - I use it more while wandering in the town than in the caverns because it lasts almost an entire day. It would be nice to have a dish that gives both speed and foraging.
I think additional levels in mining given by dishes gives nothing but better efficiency which is often useless because energy becomes a non issue very fast during the run. Once you reach botanist, additional levels in foraging provided by dishes gives nothing at all ? I feel more levels should give slightly more chances to get additional foraged items/wood pieces. Like 7 gives .025; 8 - .05; 9 - .075 etc More mining levels should have a chance for more ore following the same logic.
foraging 12 gives you an extra berry from bushes but that's it
Not sure you even harvest berry bushes anymore at this point
it might be useful in some stupid challenges
Book of Stars is worth 1125 master XP though
Easily worth holding onto
Foraging 9 plus 3 from food (or Foraging 10 plus at least 2 from food) mean four blackberries per bush in the first autumn, with Bear's Knowledge potentially becoming available shortly thereafter
close enough
took over 400 attempts
I have no idea how I got -5 weight +75 crit power on my frist iridium needle in just a few tries
Kinda hilarious how weight is treated like a useful stat, when really you'd rather have as little as possible
How do you add innate enchants?
a weapon drops with one or you use dragon tooth
I see
Must be currently below Lv15 and not be galaxy/infinity even if it is
Certain upgrades increase the weapon's level. So if that would bring it to 15+, you need to do the Innate before that
Maybe blackberries if you enjoy it. But who has the time at that point? LOL
yeah
forging a weapons to max (3 times) gives 4 levels
but adding an enchantment doesn't give any
At the first fall, it's still probably worthwhile
In co-op, possibly during the second spring as well (if the other players are handling the Desert Fest)
Let me knock this creature back to where I can't hit it again.
My pet peeve with the same enchantment on swords in Minecraft: "Let me knock this skeleton back where I can't reach it, but where it can still shoot at ME."
Why I never want that type of enchantment on melee weapons.
Now on the BOW, on the other hand ...
Yep. Berry picking is still very much worthwhile in year 1. Even salmonberries, for the food value. But beyond that, of course not. Unless you're really slow-playing it.
And even I don't take that leisurely a pace.
It's not hard to make pancakes to get from 10 to 12
and you don't have to upgrade your house if you're broke
(It's actually plausible to learn the Pancake recipe early enough to use the cookout kit for it and get more Salmonberries in Year 1)
you need to get eggs early though
Meadowlands Hours
finally something that meadowlands is better at
Meadowlands might be optimal for Minimum Earnings?
More than plausible. The recipe is only 100g from Gus.
and foraging 3 by the salmon berry season is pretty easy
Huh, for minimum earnings on Meadowlands, it's actually optimal to buy a Mill
I always buy one anyway. I like the look.
I'll have it sitting around unused for years and years just because I think it's pretty.
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how much money Beach farm saves with its supply crates
Looks like Beach Farm saves 1500g from supply crates, since you only need to purchase 5 rice to get all the necessary cooling ingredients
To hell with that. If I want Minimum Earnings I just look at my paycheck stub. 🤣
I can't be rich in life, I damn sure want to be so in game.
Hmm... Meadowlands is only optimal if you ban travelling cart lol
You can do that?
I mean if you did a Minimum Earnings + No Travelling Cart run
Oh, I thought ban meant a setting to remove it from the game. Should have realized. Duh.
Actually no, even then, beach is still better because racoons OP
Forgot the racoons can get you all animal produce for free
Only thing you should buy from Travelling Cart in Minimum Earnings is Rarecrow #4, because it's cheaper than buying it at the Festival of Ice
That can happen on any map
It's just there to make the world a little more interesting
Yeah when I first saw the possum on 1.6, I thought it had to do with the new raccoon stuff lol
Sometimes fleeing creatures will enter a berry bush or a tree with forageable items, and make it fall.
Not sure if your forage skills get applied, it happens so rarely.
does anyone know how to get the indoor decorative pet bowls? i keep seeing them online but i cant find them in game or on the wiki
I'm guessing you don't mean this one?
[[Decorative_Bowl]]
Wasn't that a mod
a youtuber i watch says they just use cbj cheats to make the decor videos, no other mods
then cheat
i was wondering if anyone knew if its possible to get them without doing that, thats why i asked
I understand. YT creators often use things that do not exist as thumbnails or in their edited saves to make it more appealing. They also give tips that make close to no sense. Not always, not all of them, but still.
yeah ik, still just wondered if i missed somethin while trying to find it
Hmm - Is the Skull Cavern Entrance used for the Desert Festival the same map as normal (IE: Can I stash a chest on it safely)?
monster compendium on year 1 spring 20??
and i got jack be nimble just a few mins ago too
Congrats - good RNG in your favor
Yes
Thanks Atra
I am speed. Just a shame it's the wrong statue buff
h o w /genq
Desert Festival + Coffee + Calico Statue Boost
Not pictured - speed boost trinket
As it turns out, there is such a thing as too much speed
Dehydrated pineapples are actually really good since I'm always using keg and jar space for starfruit and ancient fruit
gotta add your carrot fed horse
Dehydrators are amazing for when you produce too much stuff, ye. Though have I yet shown you that garden pot shed layout I was planning to use for pineapples?
I dont think I've seen it
But I have pineapples on ginger island. Whenever I unlock GI, I just put down sprinklers and plant pineapples seeds whenever I get them
I don't care to optimize GI but this works well enough
Everyone post your inventory tool layout
im having such a hard time finding a good junimo hut placement on the meadowlands farm
I'm just now realizing there is no 17x17 space
Well - that was a very profitable desert festival - 2x autograbber and an autopetter
1st error : playing on meadowlands
2nd error: using junimo
I wish there was a way to recycle both of them. When I get my first two autograbbers and autopetters I am happy, then the next ones go to trash.
Meanwhile additional crystalariums/seedmakers are always nice
It's like the 3rd run in a row where I get iridium scythe before golden scythe. I am not even aiming for it, it just happens. Please help the golden scythe remaining relevant.
I don't think there is a way to make the gold scythe relevant unless you make the quarry faster to unlock
If you try hard you'll hit mastery 1 or 2 before you get the quarry
I dont feel I tried that hard. It's just that if you dont try to optimize to get mastery asap, you waste a lot of xp for nothing.
Quarry bundle always requires winter foraging items while I get mastery during fall.
if iridium scythe required to upgrade the golden scythe with a crafting recipe that could fix it. Not very fun but at least the item would not be a waste of space.
I saw it last night. I checked my farm buildings for a mangy intruder, but didn't find it. Now if I could have the same luck keeping them out of my IRL shed and garage. 🤣
Farming and general everyday use on the right, mining and combat on the left. Junimo chests at the entrance to the Mines, SC, the Volcano and Secret woods, to swap out before entering.
Also ones in my mainland home and on the island.
I've never bought a junimo chest
It's not the first item I get (that would be the Horse Flute), but I've found they come in handy for me with these loadouts.
Just saw my cat walk off the farm
I don't even have a horse flute yet in my current save, I keep getting junimo chests XD (...to work with a couple mods I'm using where they're very useful)
cant post it but i normally carry sword, pickaxe, axe, return scepter, horse wistle
and for second row i carry the rest of the tools
Is there an end to the raccoon family? I feel like he’s repeating past gifts
I don’t think there’s an end end but his family stops growing after a while
I could be wrong tho 💪🏻💪🏻
the quests and rewards also start pulling from a randomised list after 5 quests (which is before his family stops growing)
two of the random rewards are the same or similar to the scripted ones (from the first 5)
cracks open a Mystery Box - gets food
Gets another mystery box
Just realised that if I'm really aiming for maximum completionism, the game tracks every gift you've ever given every townsperson, in every category
Then more mystery boxes that provide food
wsg all
Racoon family quest line is technically done when you get a cutscene of them singing. But still you can give them requested stuff and they still will give you Book of Stars and Stardrop Tea.
hi
turns out i only need to do 43 more crafting recipes
wish me luck
i also lost 1 heart with lewis.
😭
so close............
just need more money and crafts
does anyone know where the farm saves are usually stored?
!saves
Use this guide to find your save files: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves.
ty
Mountain Lake on sunny days, Forest River on rainy days
Assuming no special/seasonless locations
Most of those are better than anything that places with seasonal fish have to offer
Ocean at night, any weather (Super Cucumber)
True
Im on the the perfection tracker, what does forest magic mean?
Is that the junimo text thing?
Also is there a guide someone could send me that has all the books and how to get them?
Im trying to prepare for 1.6
Yeah, forest magic is what lets you read junimo text for the CC IIRC
Ok, i thought so
But wasnt sure
[[Books]]
I already found it and made a list, but thanks anyway
for anyone that’s still playing on 1.5, what are yall doing in your saves to prepare for the new update? (assuming you’re gonna continue an existing save, and not start a new one)
personally i’m filling fish ponds w the fish that produce the new jellies (flounder, midnight carp, lava eel) & im gonna plant a ton of trees so i can chop them down for some quick xp to get a head start on mastery
For the willy quest at the desert festival, he wants me to find his rare gold bobber. Do I just have to fish until I get it?
https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Golden_Bobber idk if you want to be told outright so here’s the wiki page for it!
Yup
...That bobber can't be solid gold or it wouldn't float
Using Grandpas statue of perfection dupe glitch
If you're planning to go hard on immediate mastery, you'll want a massive field of high-exp crops ready right before you update
That's going to be the biggest immediate chunk of exp, followed by mine gems and mahogany trees
Oop, I could've looked at the wiki you're right whoops
I just figured it was best to start a new save for 1.6
My two year-14s are done, really.
Personally, I'd agree, if only because prize tickets and such feel more impactful
Exactly. The early game stuff would, in year 14, be a letdown and most likely ruin the experience for me.
A fresh start with a new type of farm I'd not played on before (Riverlands) was just what the doctor ordered.
After how badly I'd burnt myself out in my Billionaire run.
Maybe the water in stardew valley is really dense
Please tell me 1.6 reduces the amount of items you lose upon death
It does not
Ffs
Best it does is have an unlockable discount for the one you choose to retrieve via Marlon's recovery service
Welp
at least i can get my 50 omni geodes back for cheaper, the 7 diamonds, 25 iridium ore and 30 mega bombs are still gone
I feel like the mega bombs are the most actually valuable among those
I wouldn't even blink at losing those quantities of the other items
quite a lot for me ngl
i dont think you can say „not really“ when you have no idea how many of any items i have or need
Because I get way more than 25 iridium with 30 mega bombs
Usually approaching or breaching triple digits worth
except that has nothing to do with what I said
Diamonds are not that important, I'd honestly rather have 7 Jades than Diamonds
You're attached to the wrong items
Okay, whatever, ignore what i say 🤷
- that was an example, i dont bother getting stuff back
- desert trader
For?
No, it‘s quite literally not
5 or 6 is not uncommon
hats
I'll cite my source. Cite yours?
which wiki is that?
ah
Funny
and that means it does decrease the amount of items, which i quite like
So yeah, 1.6 does reduce the lost item limit
you’re all good dw, just trying to help!
i’m not but that would be great advice for someone that was :) & i did actually say i plan on making a big tree farm :)
If you don’t mind this, just do what I do and reset the day if you die lol
Yeah but different people are done have different values for things depending on their situation
I mean if they're getting 50 Omnis per trip (cut short due to dying), they'll have the hats pretty quickly anyway
Seven trips per hat
Fewer trips, if they manage more Omnis on a trip where they survive all the way theough
I agree.
Getting mahogany seeds is so slow
I need 70 for my little mushroom log/mystic tree set up
I get around 2-3 from the secret woods every day
Mahogany farm y1
I did have that but I guess I got unlucky with drops
On the day right before first green rain, you plant mahogany trees, boom mahogany farm. You shake them every day and yo uhave mahogany seeds
GI has some too
I’ve planted and replanted a ton in the desert but I guess I got unlucky with getting seeds back
True
The raccoons have a trade for it but it’s pretty expensive at 20 coal for 1 seed
If you use the iridium scythe on foraging seeds, you do not proc the gatherer perk, while if you do it by hands it does.
Gatherer
Chance for double harvest of foraged items
No it was a general thought, not related to your issue
Ah okay lol
That’s interesting because botanist does work with iridium scythe
I planted some winter forage and every one of them I gathered with the scythe was still iridium quality
Yes. I imagine the perk trigger is not in the same spot in the code
I guess botanist would be similar to farmer level bonuses since crops collected by junimos are still affected by your farming level
And gather is specifically tied to the action of picking up
I got a small excess of mahogany seeds by accident in my game...
I budgeted hardwood for Willy's boat but forgot to account for the raccoon house needing hardwood too, so I was well short of what I needed. So I planted the Mahogany seeds I already had, and fertilized them. As they grew in, I chopped them, supplemented with daily visits to the secret woods of course.
I ended up having enough hardwood before running out of mahogany trees, so I let the rest live. They started propagating seeds around themselves, and it was Winter, so the seeds didn't sprout. I could easily collect them with my hoe!
Yes it is ok as is. Seeing the iridium scythe not being perfectly perfect is odd to me. That foraging path gatherer/botanist is already very OP compared to the other to me, so it is fine.
I should try something like that again, for Mystic Seeds.
Rather, with mahoganies to make more seeds to craft into Mystics
Since I don't think Mystics themselves can propagate
If you setup a few mahogany trees in a column, separate them with some tile, the falling seeds should be quite visible
Ye, there's a lot of room on my farm (Beach is huge) so I just gotta pick out a good spot
If you really need more mahogany seeds, make sure you mug the slimes every day, especially with the burglar ring
What's the droprate in there, actually
Also, thank you golden treasure chest - The fish was nice enough to stop being volatile just long enough to catch the chest, and it had 6 copper ore, ha
Going to the secrets woods remains boring to me. I avoid it as much as possible
Yep - I only ever go in for the pond, the stardrop, and the initial mahogany seeds
Does monster musk work in the secret woods?
Also, do the slimes respawn if I exit and reenter?
Wiki says 10% per slime for a mahogany seed. Hmm...
No. Not sure if monster musk applies. I would say no
Apparently the Burglar Ring code is a tangled spaghetti mess that doesn't actually double monster drop rolls but sort of attempts to pretend it does. So I wonder whether it does or does not apply to the Mahogany Seeds
That might explain why I seem to get stupid amounts of rewards from it
I've gotten 8 batwings way too often with burglar + the compendium
So reentering also doesn’t respawn them?
no it does not
I think the mine and SC are the only places that do it, since the room in question effectively ceases to exist when you leave
The volcano persists within a day, too
I’m pretty sure the quarry mines works with monster musk
I went there with it and got a lot more skull spawns
Hm, maybe monster musk works with spontaneous spawns, which I think skulls can do
Which may mean it could also work on the farm if night monsters are toggled on
Maybe I should go into the quarry myself with Musk so I can get Cursed Mannequins to do that stupid idea I had
Build an empty farmhand cabin and just populate it with cursed mannequins.
And then just leave it for my own amusement (no intention of playing multiplayer on that farm)
Forgot to follow up on this yesterday. Here it is
The kegs can be replaced with jars or dehydrators or even more garden pots
This just allows the keg/jar/etc to "piggyback" on the increased density made possible by the iridium scythe
Nah this is still cursed 😭
God did not intend for this. It’s unnatural
Does the +1 ore perk from the mining statue apply to calico egg nodes?
I believe so
uhhhh if my inventory was full and i opened the chest with the dark talisman, did i break my game and lose the talisman? and have to restart the day?
dark talisman does not use a regular inventory spot
lmao i didnt even think about it until it did it
oh okay cool
i couldnt remember, thanks!
It is in the pink star tab
Love when the Simon says ends up giving up on me and removes a step of completion
Simon would say but he's been stunned speechless
I went on GI for a volcano run but forgot my water can. I am pretty good at this mistake. I ended planting 70+ seeds, while I am at it, let's do that Simon says thingy that I suck so much at. I tried recording it with my phone. Turns out pausing does not work. I spent the entire day failing. Simon got bored of my pathetic skill and went like get out of here.
Yeah so...how are you gonna plant your seeds?
Unless you're using a mod, I don't see how you're gonna do that.
The area is closed off
You do it once and it is done forever. Magnetic rings and iridium scythe do all the work
I meant planting not harvesting.
you plant the one in the center, then setup more rows
Plant them as you place the pots
Place northmost row of pots, add DRS and seeds
Then place second-northernmost row of pots, add DRS and seeds
Never have to replant if it's pineapples, so yeah. Plant once while setting it up and it's ready to roll for eternity
ancient fruit cant go into pots can it
no it says something about their roots
Yeah, we'd just use those instead if we could. Pineapples were practically implemented to be the "we have food at home" for Ancients
Here, this is how it's done
why not use hops?
Hops are technically better but will drive a man mad
If we could get the Junimos to collect them, they'd be awesome. Their limitation is that we can't deploy Junimos to the best places to grow them (indoors, greenhouse, Ginger Island)
They do, and that's the whole Thing about this yeah
Last time we saw Junimos indoors (the Community Center), we had to be the ones gathering stuff for them. Maybe there's this weird Junimo law about how that works indoors vs outdoors
Like, that's an actual-factual Junimo Hut in there
I made my first million, should I save or go for the golden clock?
#1292661742316421170 message This is beautiful
Continue with one of my previous farms or start a new one, decisions decisions.
Hilltop farm does look interesting, I think
@tulip tartan When you reach Lv10 in all skills, you can enter a new room in Cindersap Forest, near the Spring Onion area. (A tree is obscuring the door unless you cut it down.)
This is the Mastery Room. Fill the Mastery meter with EXP of any type, and once it's full, you get a Mastery point to spend on "buying" another set of perks from one of the five skillsets. You can get all five Masteries, though the EXP requirements escalate with each point you earn.
The Foraging one has craftable Mystic Seeds; these grow into Mystic Trees, which can be tapped for Mystic Syrup. This syrup has a number of useful properties (sells well, can be drank for full health recovery), but can be crafted into Treasure Totems. These "summon" a ring of worm spots in the bare soil around you. (Maybe don't try this in winter, or they'll be mostly just winter roots and snow yams.)
ah, I know what door you are talking about, i've found it,a nd cant get into it as i havent mastered the 5 ways yet
good to know for when I do.
I would generally not recommend Foraging as the first Mastery you unlock, but... yeah, this is the backup way to help get treasures you're missing
i gotta go farming first simply because the iridium scythe is that good
Yep. Mining for me was second. Heavy furnaces are so cool.
Foraging was third. Still have yet to make those trees.
I've got the island ready to go; boat's repaired. I still haven't been there. Mid-Winter, year 2, still working on the main farm and the occasional SC run for resources.
i usually go combat last because trinkets are mostly just icing
I can't remember - I know they patched out storm-chains, but can the rain totem trigger a storm naturally, or will it only ever be rain?
Only rain.
I only experienced chaining storms once. By the fifth consecutive storm day, Haley was so pissed off she wouldn't get out of bed. 🤣
That's a lotta batteries
Aww - I desperately need a million more batteries to expand my sprinkler army
I spent forever in sc for a recent mobile mining run and chained storms from the 13th to the 27th
Got a whole hoard of batteries
I used a lot.
I can't wait to see how solar panels work in the desert, now that it has it's own weather and no rain to worry about.
I had solar panels in the desert in my last save, but they were always at the mercy of the farm's rain.
Which seemed really stupid, so I'm glad that was changed.
Seemed stupid, but I don’t really like how now you’re basically forced to place them in the desert
Does create a unique dynamic though, it’s a less extreme cask
I think that really is the way to go, farming is ridiculously useful just for the time savings and statue, everything else is so situational
Farming then Fishing or Mining depending on your taste (The mining buffs are nice), foraging, then combat is my go to now - I accidentally picked up combat early and that's been suffering
Yes
Imo mastery order doesn't really matter if you can get exp very fast which you can from multiple sources
That's fair, though there's definite preferences in terms of minmaxing exp and rewards though - the scythe being a massive one at letting you scale up farming, and golden animal crackers
I usually go mining first because I unlock mastery levels very fast and I'm able to get second mastery in at most few days
My second mastery is usually farming
Yeah - the first two are basically freebies
The last one can drag if you aren't scaling well enough though
I need to check whether gem exp is doubled with the bonus gems
Mining mastery reduces exp from gems because you double harvest all the time
But it's still worth it because sc runs get a ton of exp
And most of exp comes from iridium nodes
Im kinda bored in fall waiting for next season basically, any suggestions what to do with my time?
Try to 100% all the fall fish
I did on like 2nd of fall
and on the first rainy day
I got all the location-specific fish too
i unlocked almost new stuff, i have foraging and fisching at level 9 the rest is level 10, im so hyped about masterys
whats the best thing to put the golden animal cracker on
Step 1: bully Kent with explosive ammo
Step 2: grow shorts collection
how rare is the cloths from mystery boxes? i got once the "?" hat
Cow if you want a lot of golden cheese to fight. Duck or rabbit if you want gifts. I like having them on lava ell fish ponds too.
thank you i never seen the wiki and the items you can get, now i know!!
my tree farms got destroyed by green rain, do they turn back into old trees or do i have to chop them all down?
oki thanks
I'll call 900 fiber for the day a win
what should i take as my 2nd mastery (took farming first)
mining
ok
what should i choose first? im mainly mining and monster slaying person
Based on that, probably Mining
Combat is mainly just fun, and Mining is generally more useful
Is 1.7 ever comin or is all attention at Haunted Chocalotier
alright thanks
we just got 1.6
I want 1.7 👍
😂
Not enough content 😭
Once he releases 1.6 to all platforms he's gonna fully focus on hc. If we're gonna get a 1.7 or not we don't know
Ill continue with my modded save 👍
yayy finally level 10 fishing the grind is over for now
Ive been focusing alot on getting every item
Bc im bored and got no other games to play

Hi! Lea! Bye!
I'm so excited to get the update on my tablet! I've been playing sd on my PC but i can take it on the go!

Hi guys.
I'm a moblie player and I use to play stardew 1.5 when it first released on moblie and after about 20 - 30 hours of playing I stopped playing cuz I was busy with irl matters and then never continued. But ever since I've heard about 1.6 released on moblie I want to start a new farm again and can't seem to wait for the release.
I'll be playing on the standard farm and continued my leisurely playstyle.
My question for you guys is this:
1️⃣: should I just start a new farm now and start playing and then when 1.6 finally releases just upgrade the game and experience the new things.
Or
2️⃣: wait for 2 weeks and then start the farm when 1.6 has been released.
Are there any new game changing mechanics I should put into consideration and are there any new early game features which I will miss out on (except meadowlands) if my farm isn't started in 1.6.
Do share your opinion and help a brother out.
Any particular reason (feature) why ?
Depends how fast you play between now and then, but you could miss a fair bit of content.
1.6 makes changes to NPC dialogue you’ll miss otherwise.
Also, some new crops that are really nice for the first year
Probably about 30 min to 2 hours depending on how free I'm each day, so ranging from 5.5 hrs (24 in-game days) to 22 hrs (95 in-game days)
definitely recommend waiting then
does the statue from mine mastery stack?
no
so its not good to craft another one?
I still do it for GI, so I can have my buffs when I am in full volcano run try hard mode when farming stuff.
i dont have volcano i look for more geode and ore
then no need
oki ty
I'm so glad to run into others who've played it - love the game
it's one of my favourite games ever
to the point I decided to get true platinum in all arenas lmao
Yeah - I bought it right after it released and it's just so solid - Little bit of perspective weirdness, but it's so fluid.
thankfully you can get used to the perspective
Tried and dropped it thrice before understanding why I couldn't play this game that was theoretically perfect for me: I HATE the interface
Like, the game is awesome, the concept is awesome, all mechanics and characters so far are awesome, but I just can't the interface
the interface is specific but personally I find it easy to understand and use
but I can kinda see why some people may not like it
The GUI or the controls?
GUI specifically, like all the menus and all that
Got it even before Grandpa evaluated my farm]
Sometimes people ask "Do I get anything special for getting all five Masteries?"
And I gleefully tell them "yeah, you get ||a pat on the shoulder.||"
do i need to do anything special to get ocean jelly, I havent got one yet but plenty of the other 2
It is also possible to achieve similar rates however on Ginger Island South, or on the Beach during Summer, although Seaweed instead of Snake Skulls will be the alternative drop.
However, unlike when catching regular fish or other items, the random value used to determine whether a Sea Jelly is successfully caught is predetermined. This value only changes when catching a Cave, River, or Sea Jelly, or any Fish. It is not changed by catching Seaweed, Trash, or any other catchable items. Because of this, after catching Trash using the Training Rod, it is necessary to catch a regular fish before another Sea Jelly. This can easily be done by switching to any Fishing Pole other than the Training Rod, continuing to fish until an actual fish is caught, and then switching back to the Training Rod.
Ordinarily, 10% of possible random values result in a successful Sea Jelly catch. Each level of Luck Buff increases the chance of a successful catch by 5%. So with +8 Luck, 50% of random values will result in a successful catch. This allows for longer streaks without failing a Sea Jelly catch, although the player will still unavoidably catch some Snake Skulls or Seaweed, depending on the area chosen. ```
thanks but thats more late game than me, I spent all day fishing on the beach and didnt get a single one
Read everything. Training rod should help
yeah I'll try that, do you know if its better to cast into shallow water or no difference?
the closer you cast, the more cast you can do since time keeps on going during a cast
Gotcha, thanks 🙂
speaking of Jelly, you know what should be a valid location to catch cave jelly? the pirate cove
Real
Got 20 seaweed, 20 trash items and no jelly 😦
Sad bro
I bet its elliots fault
Now get true perfection before grandpa evaluates your farm
Easier fish inhabit the close to shore areas too though, you’ll have more high difficulty fish farther from shore
Context was training rod in places where there are no valid fish for it to hook
May as well just drop the bobber at minimum distance, I suppose
You can also get sea jelly from flounders fish pond. They require sea jelly to reach the level where they give some though
There is no karmic rng where the game remembers what you had before and adapts the dice throws to make the chances fair/balanced for the next throws. Rng is a beach.
I will get my jelly one day 🫡
Yeah but that’s when considering the optimal location, they don’t yet have access to
So if they do have to workaround a subpar location like the beach in non summer then they’re better off reducing their chance for the easy fish
Alright, but I'm not sure that's how that works either
I thought it was just that low fishing zones applied a penalty to the chance for the better fish to bite, rather than actually affecting anything about the weaker fish
Weaker fish bite more often in comparison to better fish under those conditions, but because the latter is being nerfed rather than the former being buffed
Well, they finally made the Night Market worth my time. over 25k in smoked blobfish, and I haven't even started smoking the spookfish and both kinds of sea cucumbers. And I only went 2 out of 3 nights.
Saved one blobfish for a pond, of course.
Not great money, but not too bad for an evening out.
I don’t think that’s entirely being taken out of the trash rates tho
Like with deep casts I’m basically never catching low value/easy fish in the ocean, at least it feels that way
is low fishing zone better for jelly fishing?
Remember that one guy with the fishing simulator applet?
When I leave most stuff at default and set the fishing pole type to Training Rod, setting Fishing Zone to 0 gives a better chance at sea jelly than Fishing Zone 1 or higher
Oh cool, is that the case with the same set of parameters the person who was asking had?
eugh, deja vu
Don't know. When I fool around with it at random, most of the results encourage short casts. First result that went the other way, was nighttime in the winter
Nah, that's actually just ocean water, it's completely open to the ocean, that's why you get super cucumbers and such
You probably missed the bit about how (non-cave) Jelly RNG is predetermined, and only gets updated after catching a jelly or fish
So if you catch trash, that means your Jelly RNG value is bad, and you need to go catch a fish to reset it
Then try again to see if it's good
So optimal jelly strategy for River and Sea jellies is basically "use training rod until you get trash, then regular rod until you get fish, repeat"
What do you need that much jelly for?
Making lots of fish smokers probably
Ah, okay.
Hello, if i entered the beta test. How do I get out of it? Do I? Or it's automatic?
You can just exit by going to the proplerties like how you entered it and exiting out of it
No real point as the update is in ~10 days at this point
proplerties
oh so if i don't do anything, its alright?
Yeah
Ok thank you!
Np
new beta, ||special crow shop was added. it appears if you lose some unique item, selling it back for 10k gold||

Uhhh? Don't think so some of the lightbulbs are on solid furniture.
One is on the divorce book.
Yea, but why are they where they are? Confused. None of the other interior images have that.
I think it's anywhere in the Bedroom, but not in the kitchen. Not sure though.
Does the wiki have a discussion page for it? Might be good to ask about that
It's because someone screenshottrd tiled not the game really
The lights are....lights
Markers placed on the map to tell the light engine that light goes here
...Damn, I need those in my sheds
You too can make a mod for that!
So they're basically preplaced ceiling lights?
Might still be worth asking about it on the wiki, as those light markers aren't visible in-game
Seems that one player forgot they were there when they updated the photo for v1.6, and everyone else just sort of rolled with it
You can see that a user named Softwareupdate posted the photo which someone else clipped the background off. Seems nobody thought to question the light markers
does anyone understand what the "no longer able to steal a roommate in multiplayer" means for 1.6.9?
Maybe if you're on multiplayer it would change the dialogs depend on who speaks to the roomate. Like if you have Krobus your friend don't get the text you get from speaking to Krobus. Et least not the same
I think
yeah but it explicitly says "steal" what were people doing to make CA patch that?
In multiplayer, if you have Krobus as roommate, other players still able to ask him as theirs
Oooooooh
Hence it’ll be fixed in 1.6.9
Okay that makes sense now
Stardew PvP: Capture the Krobus

Lol
Also with PVP combat
Pick your weapons: dagger, clubs or swords
if players take no/little to no knockback clubs are going to be busted (as expected)

The Mario Bros are already here, after all...
does anyone know what the 1.6.9 update will consist of?
now daggers are actually decent!
Mostly small stuff:
https://www.stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley-1-6-9-public-beta/
thanks!
The patch notes there are incomplete, there are some features that have been added to it since the notes were compiled, most notably ||legendary fish ponds||
We'll get complete patch notes when the update properly arrives
dang thats op
They're not as ridiculous as you might think
they don't grow so not really
oh i thought they would
They're still probably not actually good enough to justify the amount of space they take up on the farm in terms of income
would they produce roe?
and other op stuff?
They do produce very good roe
well yes, that's why you grow fish ponds
That's basically it
legend might be
aged legend roe is like 7K with artisan
drop in a golden cracker with that
might be good
have you played it before?
fr
I messed around a little, then went back to working on my completionist farm which is stuck in 1.5 while I gather precious iridium seaweed for my perfect fish tanks
Eh, it's not very consistent though.
But IDK, things might change
Balance changes are still entirely possible during the beta cycle
is iridium seweed good for tanks?
So far as it means I can have more iridium quality items to show off in my fish tanks, yes
ah
||Extended family||?
oooo that would be sweet
Yeah, they work, but still are stuck at 1 pop
Huh.
selling
Dang so they're pretty much useless unless I preserve them?
what do you expect, it's just roe
poggers
With mining mastery is the gemologist profession better than blacksmith?
Gemologist with building lots of Crystalaria is best passive income/farm growth. Blacksmith is more immediate gold from trips to sell bars. Most money in a month (and lots of good gifts for Qi's Kindness) vs. most money now.
What’s the best floor to reset for radioactive ore?
Floor 1
I just save up my bars and gems and switch professions whenever I want to sell the respective type
It’s only 10k to swap so it’s worth it
Ty
Whats recommended on doing the first master level
If you have a lot of crops, Farming.
If you don't have a lot of crops (maybe it's winter or something), maybe something else first
I thought you have to give up Miner to get Gemologist, which is a much bigger problem (Miner is more useful than either of the lv10 skills tbh)
How much does it cost to buy five iron ore from Clint?
Looks like 750G in Y1 or 1250G in Y2+
Pricey but options are limited at the moment. I miscounted the number of hardwood stumps on my farm. In order to complete the hardwood quest from Robin I gotta upgrade my axe.

Ooo, does it ||have any introduction or does it just appear there all of a sudden?||
Ooh, assuming they've not removed the exploit that could totally save my butt!
Might as well try !!
I will a little later. Might have to buy the chair from Robin though.
Hm, yes, you are forced to buy something from the one who sent you on this quest to begin with
It is her diabolical plan
Her diabolical plan to pay you a large sum of cash if you... buy a chair from her, and possibly later also a bed
I promised her the wood, and I aim to deliver.
And possibly, blame somebody else if I can't.
just appear
I just picked Fishing as the fourth Mastery (with Combat being last). Is Dressed Spinner and Trap Bobber okay for tackle? I tried them for only a short while (after midnight) and they seemed okay. Or should I make something else?
Yeah that’s good
If you wanna try using challenge bait, use two cork bobbers
Yeah that’s a decent combo, though unless you’re going for harder fish you probably won’t need a trap bobber
They removed the damn chair exploit! 🤬
I can put the chair in the right spot but it will not let me get off the chair on the other side of the effing log.
Just gonna start over.
Trap + Cork is best for the hardest fish, like Octopi and Qi's Extended Family.
Honestly you can just do double trap
Does spending 1.4 million w that parrot next to the volcano give u all the golden walnuts
im not tryna run around and find them im ngl
i got the money
Yes
Pretty sure it's an overnight thing, but yea, much faster than manual.
It's still there in 1.6 - It's a little fussy but I'm able to do it
I just played call of duty in the skull cavern
chained 10 mummies, gathered them all together, slapped them a bit, and cherry bombed them into the void

Average crop fairy experience
Thanks for the answers, guys. I'll keep those in mind. I only used what I had available in my fishing chest.
And sonar bobber just seems useless. If you've been doing this for long enough, you can already usually tell what fish you've got on the line by how it acts.
Yep. And it’s generally useless in the fact that you only save fractions of irl time and waste in game time by quitting out of the minigame if you don’t get the fish you want
anything known about 1.6.9?
There’s a public beta and patch notes
According to CA it’s releasing to all platforms at the same time too
where can i read the patch notes from?
i am sad that we will not have fish pond glitch anymore
The patch notes are a bit incomplete and things may change between beta and release but it's mostly quality of life changes, balancing and bug fixing
sammy and shane getting new portraits? nicee
Most notably the patch notes don't mention legendary fish ponds
yeah, have been hearing about them for some time
I don’t think you’d get anything special but I don’t see why you couldn’t
Ive never tried it tho
You can tap the tree that looks like a fern.
can you only adopt pets if you didnt get one immediately?
u can adopt more pets when ur current pet is at max hearts
idk how it works when u said no to the pet but im pretty sure you're still able to adopt
thank u so much!
What should I get as my 2nd mastery thingie, got farming as my first
hmmm
I'd say combat and mining are good second options, well, as long as you do a decent amount of mining
I went with combat
Ill have to figure out first how and where I get them
best bet would be in skull cavern
okay, will ahve to go do that in a few days
Parrot egg is likely gonna become one of my favorite trinkets soon enough
Trinket drop rate is tied to enemy max HP. Beefier enemies have better drop rates, with a special penalty applied to the spiders in the mine on Dangerous Mode since they tend to swarm you.
Dangerous SC or the Volcano Dungeon are good choices for trying to get trinkets.
Slimes tend to be tanky, so slime infestations may actually be helpful
the type of tree next to it influences the kind of mushroom it produces
if the mushroom logs are placed next to oak trees you will get morels
also, mossy trees increase the quality of mushrooms, and mystic trees can't grow moss, so a mix of regular + mystic would be best
Am I right in thinking there was a sign added that you can write on? Rather than just the item signs?
yep
Yes
Awesome
how do you get those?
Foraging mastery
Yes
alrighty
You can talk about everything here
oh nice
