you can get a heart with him if you gave him 2 iridium quality loved gift and talk to him
Yeah basically. You can also use theatre and an iridium rabbit foot
But tea makes up the majority of it
Thankfully, tea isn't really that hard to get
Gold chests from fishing mastery are the way
yeah they drop it pretty often
It's 1/13 or something IIRC
increase your bite rate a lot and you can see a lot of them
advanced iridium rod actually helps quite a bit
Plus Pirate, Treasure Hunters, Magnets...
I opened 4 golden coconuts...
Oh hey bananas
that's bananas
I'm going bananas
What about scaling ?
??!??! since when could you find cinder shards in the skull cavern
1.6.4
yeah you can get it after you open the shortcut from floor 10 to floor 0
oh that's neat
it's nice but makes getting what you want a bit harder
namely autopetters
please take my autopetters
i’ve had to start throwing them in the trash
i’m hunting for prismatic shards and megabombs
yeah you do get a lot if you do SC dives often
i see who's been blessed by yoba
I got like 6 or 7 once in a single run which is stupid
6 or 7 autopetters?
yes
holy
Gden clock was the last thing I needed for my old y3 perfection run I got it with like a week left, and it looks like it will be the last thing in my 1.6 run as well
Not that I actually aimed for y3 perf, I just played, and sometime around summer I was like "hold up, I could make it this year"
I feel like my 1.6 run will be slower
Yes it takes time to buy the seeds, plant them, harvest crops weeks after weeks, have oak resin and wood to build kegs, have something to contain kegs. It's not as straight forward as catch all the fish. Not saying it is hard, it is just time dependent while other tasks are often easier, because they have fewer dependencies.
I've been running kegs for quite a while, got up to two full sheds and I still got so many expenses till I can even start the 10m countdown
Three obelisks, community upgrades...
Community upgrades ? It's an over the top perfection you went for
Wait you don't need those?
No. You do not need to repair the theater either
I mean that's an easy one anyway
I think friendships were the most tedious to grind
1.6 is much easier in that regard
there should be a section in perfection that's "community goals"
community upgrades and movie theatre and whatnot
I think my 1.6 run is slower because I tried the new farm and it just isn't that great for big plantations, the layout is awkward concerning fields
I am not a fan of the new farm either. Speedrunners agree that 1.6 should be faster for perfection. Books and mastery being part of it. They usually play on the forest map iirc.
For guaranteed forage I guess?
And easy access to mahogany seeds to setup a mahogany farm too I presume.
Come to think pf it, I've never played standard farm
I named one of my goats Bananas. Nanners for short. LOL
Speedrunning SDV is like driving 100 mph through Yosemite or Yellowstone and not stopping to look at anything. 😆
True but they do it because they have already seen it all. They keep on grinding the game because they love it.
It's a vaild way to play. I can appreciate the challenge of it. And it's no crazier than 72 sheds full of diamond crystalariums and playing to billionaire status. LOL
Still, not for me. I'm more of a "build bigger" player, rather than a "build faster" one.
Speedrunning is a challenge where you can fight with an older yourself and each other. SDV not being punishing, makes that you cannot destroy a run if you go the marathon way. It's only a matter of time for the 72 sheds, but it takes dedication nevertheless. I guess everybody finds fun in their own way and this is great.
You can put ||Grapes|| in the ||dehydrator|| and it gives you rasins
I dunno why, but I found this to be so cute
You don't need to spoiler anything in this chanel.
It's the spoiler-free channel where you can talk about everything 1.6.
Okay, awesome!
Foraging or Combat mastery?
foraging probably
How do I get my wife to ask for another child?
I just need one more child for the achievement
It’ll happen eventually, nothing you can do to make her ask
Idk if I need two child beds
or is one fine because the crib itself is open
Iirc you just need the crib
And I have 1 child bed
It’ll stay in the crib until you have a bed for it
I just realized that the flies in the mines give more exp then bats and a lot of other enemies, and sheesh that's not what I expected
guys there were some useful cheats/glitches that had to get removed with 1.6 but I can’t for the life of me remember what they are
The item code exploit in names
Grandpas statue exploit/glitch
Was a big one that got taken from consoles because of Nintendo
the one that transforms free sofa from the catalogue into valuable fabric
clay farming, selling tea saplings
tea saplings can still be sold, but they are 250g while they were 500g. it's not a cheat nor a glitch
eh, it was exploit-adjacent
y’all is NPCs appearing on the map a 1.6 thing or a mod
i thought it was 1.6 bc i don’t remember downloading that mod
Mod
NPC Map Locations - Mod
wild i completely forgot i had that
every youtuber i watch also has the mod so i never considered it non-vanilla
It's vanilla to show where the farmer is on the map though as of 1.6
I'm told theres a Pet Menu/census type thing to see what animals I own?
Should just be in your inventory menu iirc
Little chick icon
Cracked open a Mystery Box... it contained a Maple Bar.
I kinda hate the animal tab NGL. It feels like it was designed without ever considering farms that had more than a handful of coops or barns
Yeah fr
Though it’s largely useless in general for those people too
Like when you have whatever 100 animals you aren’t really caring for exact individual happiness
NOT ME, I want everyone at 5 hearts
/silly
Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m saying
You just think of all your animals in general
Not individual ones
One animal being half a heart behind isn’t a big deal when it’ll be 5 hearts eventually anyway
Its kinda redundant but it works for me
Its not like I automated my barn and coop not really (I did)
Only going to collect and when I do I pet them
That’s aside from the point though
yeah u care abt all of them
but what can be done so its less redundant? sort by barn/coop?
or just leave em be since its a general thing
Sure and add mood counter too even though that’s generally simple too
I still care about my pets and horse in the tab
But holy shit, please add side-tabs for each building or something
Anything to filter the data and make it remotely usable
(I think it would be nice to click on an animal to produce a tiny arrow pointing to that animal)
Like the tracker arrow
That awkward moment when you have to utilize your species' ancestral apex predator instincts to find your brown animals in the brown autumn grass
Because Motherclucker and Her Moojesty have somehow not been petted yet today
Hmm. the new animal tab isnt quite what I was thinking. I was thinking like Ducks: 200
@tough remnant @chilly bloom The animal tab was designed for normal players.
i.e. ... NOT us. 🤣
I'd like that..
Ok I think I hit a bug, I've had clint open a mystery box and I've gotten more mystery boxes each time i open the next mystery box
mystery boxes? more like matryoshka boxes, am I right?
I've had that. I don't think it's a bug
funnily enough, one of the possible results for opening a mystery box is 3 more mystery boxes
Yup xD
Not a bug. That's intentional
a “mastery” system which build off the current skill system
Nee festivals
New ways of getting to milestones such as the walnuts and perfection
Lots of qol
New farm layout
Also 🦝
A few new machines
A freaky end-of-the-world rain that would cause mass panic, spawn death-cults, and generally break society. LOL
And Demetrius in a hazmat suit!
A lot of reactive dialogue
e.g. Penny or Maru talking about you dating the other, Lewis commenting on seeing your first parsnips sprout, Willy commenting on each legendary fish you catch, Caroline thinking it's for the best if you humiliate Pierre at the autumn fair grange display...
oh hello again!!
do ppl have the stardew sound effects?
:0
wait nvm i found em
:D
wait
It’s supposed to happen repeatedly? Like 8 times in a row?
Rng be like
Mr. Qi has a sense of humor, yes
hey guys
It doesn't specifically combo like that but it can happen due to funny luck
don't think I had such bad luck with mystery boxes, but happened to me with algae in the submarine, had like a double digit streak from the middle of the pool
yoooo i’m jumping back into sdv after years i did 1.5 perfection i know 1.6 perfection is different but like how?
New things to collect
I really missed out in year 1 not going into town and talking to everyone. I spent the whole time cutting trees and being the anti-Rolling Stone and gathering ALL the moss.
I believe the books count towards it, there's a couple of new crops
I saw the weirdest thing in the mines last night, frozen levels. A blue slime with a star on its antenna was being chased by another blue slime with a heart on it's antenna. After a bit of what looked like blue slime sexual assault, a baby slime popped out. Is this new to 1.6? I've never seen it before, and I thought it only happened (from what I've heard) in slime hutches.
I love dangerous sc + monster musk + more enemies from desert festival
Stardoom Valley
102 dmg is fine
not new, and yeah, it happens wherever slimes are found
4 years and almost 2000 hours and its the first time I've seen it.
fun
At least the loot delivers itself to you - It's the mummies that scare me
The rest of it is just a free loot pinata to get a million bombs and other goodies
bats
yeah mummies scare the shit out of me after one hit me for 102 hp
at this point it's ridiculous
Iridium bats and serpents get annoying, but you can generally corral them on one side and swing until the pinata stops giving loot.
Anything that uses shadow brute AI scares me though
perfect food for my hammer
the napalm ring would be amazing here
it would only add more knockback
which is bad
napalm is one of my most hated rings
I just like explosions
I spy 80 iridium or so just trying to hand deliver itself to you
Level 10 combat before I unlock the skull cavern is just fun with monsters on at the farm - It's a steady supply of iridium in the early game, so I have a bit of a love for Iridium bats
Ooh that's so satisfying when you have the burglar's ring and it drops the galaxy soul twice
obviously when it's worthless
I have committed no sin today
wait wait wait... magic hair gel!?!?
no way the best trinket in the entire game
I appreciate the fact that the ghosts in the SC count for the wizard's daily quests - It's nice being able to double dip
Definitely not new, it can happen everywhere (I often see these in the secret woods)
What's rare in you case is that it was a rare slime ^^
There's a "mating" section in the slime wiki page explaining all this
"When a mommy slime and a daddy slime love each other very much ..."
Why must you do this to me, small furry one
If I fits I sits
(Oh yes - don't mind the bushes - forgot that was modded and not vanilla behavior)
That's just an artifact spot - if you dug up the clover and got clay, it was just the roll of the dice
And cat won - I forgot to replant the missing bush so now it's going to be off by 1 day all season
Should probably check what mods do before installing them
This is just one of the mods changing the artifact spot into a clover
ohh
Nice, first year?
If so that’s amazing
My highest first year is only like 85
Dang lucky
Oh god Alex appears at year 22 and 25 while Elliott appears at year 26
But Alex appears at year 13 for me if I marry
Dang those two are trying to break my zero marriage streak and I'm trying to not use dynamic seeding and marriage lmao
nah, y2
Ah ok that makes more sense
I'm not even close to being THAT good
wow the changing hair doesn't fit my character at all
Just had my 2nd year's Green Rain day. Rather than chopping trees like I did last year, I went after weeds for the fiber. I figured that any trees that sprouted up would still be there once the day ended, but I wasn't sure about the weeds. Looks like the weeds do vanish, from a quick check the morning after.
I'm quite interested to know what all of you do during a Green Rain. I've been told the year 1 townsfolk reactions are something to behold, but I missed out on it. Do any of you still go into town year 2 and beyond, or do you stick to resource gathering, and if so, what exactly?
I typically use green rain to just roll around the maps with the scythe and harvest as much fiber and incidental moss as I can - Maybe knock a few of the ferns down to have a stock of them on hand
But it's really just an excuse to bulk gather the fiber and moss - Extra trees are fairly meaningless when they repopulate easily enough
Thanks! That's the approach I took this year, as I've been chronically low on fiber for some time, and wood hasn't been a problem, with almost two stacks in reserve. And the fern trees were a bonus, though I don't know that I'll ever use 80 fiddlehead fern.
Yeah - Fiber is the big one because a lot of the sources only really renew once a year unless you're planting fiber seeds
The moss is just a bonus so I don't have to chase some down later
green rain 3 trees are v good
i got salad for everyday that year then lmao
i have... reads chart enough moss for the one item that requires an absurd amount!
Green rain is good to grow trees. If you manage to detect the day before it occurs, it's like a giga chad aoe tree fertilizer : plant mahogany seeds and/or setup your oak farm for kegs Y1(Also works in the train station), plant mystic trees Y2. Y1 the fern things are good for income. They make decent gifts and can be processed inside jars. Moss on trees should stay the day after green rain, so you should focus on weeds that will vanish(I still hit trees though). I read 2x2 weeds are better to chop with an axe. I never tried it myself. My main focus for green rain is moss, I want 300+ per green rain. Fiber is nice, but there are fiber seeds that can give you a lot of fiber.
Use speed boost meals + triple expresso, use weapons that hit fast instead of strong(the insect blade is decent at it with its +4 speed).
Y1 green rain saloon is theorically nice to spam gifts, but iirc gifts trigger ??? making gifts impossible. You can still talk to many people at once meaning friendship. If you have a tree farm setup in the train station by Y2, be sure to farm the moss on the trees. It is still time to setup a tree farm in the train station by Y2, if you detected the green rain, the day before.
Thanks for the tips! Much appreciated.
I think robin's reaction is the best. "demetrius is out there, what if it's dangerous?"
Meanwhile demetrius is rockin a hazmat suit
I'd be rockin' one if I had one.
yeah, im just out here in shorts and a tee
I read George and Evelyne were cute during this event. I have seen the event multiple times and never took time to appreciate the dialogues. I should do it once then reset the day to harvest the precious moss.
I plan on doing the same at some point in the future.
I used to like the mushroom logs, but the moss is so tedious to harvest that I realize they slow me down to get the statue of blessing. So I end up skipping them while I like them. I can finally get mushroom logs when the game is almost over and I got 2 statues of blessing(1 additional one for GI)
you use the house on GI?
The second statue might be overkill, same fore mining statue and farm computer.
getting the Totem on GI was easy enough that i just go home. i would probably farm the island totem asap instead
Sometimes, when I am trying to do many volcano runs to mass shards/dragon teeth/....
Every time I go back to the main farm, I end up taking care of my animals and ponds. Not seeing them helps. I find before I have the key to the town, going to GI takes some time.
The island obelisk also takes time to get : gathering 10 dragon teeth and 10 bananas takes more than a season.
But to be honest, when I ended up having the second statue of blessing, everything related to the volcano was done except for a few teeth. So yes it is most likely overkill.
I wish we could use the mini obelisk on GI
yeah, i was thinking island totem vs second statue of blessing
also cant you just carry the statue to GI if you want it while your there?
It is true. It also means I would have to take it back and I could forget it and I would have a missing inventory slot. It is comfortable and lazy at the same time to have 2, to me.
fair
Well I just spent 4 minutes agonizing over whether to go mining or fishing (for a quest) on spring 27 - Could totally do both, but both combat and fishing are at 99% EXP to the next level and I hate to waste the energy boosts.
Then I realized it was a dumb argument, do the mining first, then let it smelt while I fish
Thank you, Demetrius, for that stupid Largemouth Bass quest
HEY!! I needed that Largemouth Bass for dinner at Jodi & Kents!!
Such a gal. Invites you to dinner and asks you to bring the dinner. 🤣
I kind of like hitting the point where you can't cheese level ups. Makes decisions a lot easier.
But they're so u seful
Was there a Stardrop ALWAYS for purchase at the Fair?
Only if you dont have it unlocked yet
Its been a while so I possibly forgot or never noticed
Its 730 am wed 17 and I cant see Shane:
nvm I found him
How do I make Leah want another child faster

For the overnight event with Mister Qi and the Mystery boxes, is that all the time now or was that just for the Green Rain?
mystery boxes can be found any time after the event
okay, I am assuming by hitting trees etc?
yep
It was in 1.5, at least.
Ok
She loves wine. LOL
Wait I just need to give her more gifts? I am already at max
and kept it up
Is it a good idea to buy strawberries on your first year?
That was a joke. Your spouse wanting to have another kid is completely random.
The best idea you can have.
It's just ridiculous how long it takes
but I also want to save my money for the traveling cart
you only need a little bit of spending money to get what you want from the travelling cart
the stock is random though
Don't bother. The travelling cart has random stuff which is occasionally useful. Strawberries, on the other hand, are the best crop in year 1 and can make you enough money to afford things like seeds for summer, a coop and a few chickens, things that can make you MORE money. The travelling cart is overpriced stuff that MIGHT come in handy for the CC, but you're really better off getting whatever you can for CC by yourself and only relying on the cart for a few items you may have missed.
it does occasionally come in clutch with a red cabbage though
My goal for year 1 spring is to make as much money as I can before the Egg Festival, through fishing and crops, and put it all on strawberries. I don't spend money on much of anything before the festival that can't be recouped before the festival, like crops I know will finish growing on or before the 12th so I can ship them and have the money in hand on the 13th.
my usual goal is SC before summer :D
That's impressive.
I usually have to reset a bunch of times though, so I think I'll pass on that this time around for my enjoyment
I'm trying not to be so power-gamey this time around. I'm still doing pretty well, but I'm not trying for a massive farm this time. I only have 224 crop spaces outside, plus the greenhouse. And I'm not monoculturing. I have bigger plots of my money crops, but it's a variety of them, with a bit of everything available to grow in the season.
mhm polyculture
My strategy for this save is to make as much money as possible through potatoes and parsnips. The cabbage and green bean is only for the community center
wait 224? are you on riverlands?
Riverlands is kind of limiting in that way, which is kind of a blessing. Limited space, so I can't give into temptation and follow my natural inclination to go big. LOL
and it has a smoker as a starting boon
I haven't used it much. I'm not impressed with the concept. I have better uses for coal. And, yes, I know how to get lots of coal. But I also know how to get LOTS of ores, and I need that coal for it, as well as crafting.
I figure for a smoker to be worth it, the fish would have to be worth over 100g in year 1, and 250 in year 2 and beyond, because that's what it takes to buy coal, or in the case of year 1, 10 wood to turn into one coal.
Base price of over 250 with Angler is a grand total of 9 fish.
Nah, those numbers can be adjusted down due to Artisan also working
1.4× price needs to beat the cost of the coal
...Then again, with targeted bait, you'd be able to laser-focus on the high-value fish anyway
Let's see. With both Angler and Artisan, the fish must be worth 119G before those skills, to approximately break even in the smoker.
Sturgeons are available for most of the day in two seasons. Catfish are available on rainy days in the other two.
Lava Eeling is kind of nutty if you can get it working, but that may be a bit too specialized
fishing is very profitable in summer
sturgeon and super cucumbers
the smoker helps most early game imo though, smoking gold catfish with angler will get you a lot
Farming is easy to max early, so Artisan is entirely plausible for smoked Sturgeons in the first summer
yeah
one batch of starfruit is usually enough to get you to 10, depending on the number of crops
I prefer Pirate over Angler but even then... Artisan remains overpowered to nobody's surprise
both still have significant power differences though
Shepherd is the optimal income per farm tile according to Sicarious' minmaxing theorycraft, so there's that
sheepmaxxing is insane
It has to be, to beat Artisan
the hops of ranching
It's not just so much the power differences, as the scope of each. Artisan affects everything. Rancher is fragmented into the different animal types, making you choose one while ignoring the others.
That's the flaw in animal farming, as much as CA tried to buff it.
Smoker made Artisan affect Fish and that was hilarious
well if anything I think specializing in one department should give a much larger boost than something that applies generally
Rancher vs Tiller does that
Artisan is just unfair
true
The one thing about this is
In a game that has community as a central theme, maybe it makes sense for some skills to only be desirable in co-op
The team doesn't need more than one Artisan, so then the other players can branch out
Solo-play Profession-swapping is... probably not meant to be the main playstyle
lmao
moss and fiber time
Bro
It is sunday
And it's green rain
Meaning I miss the QoS channel
(thank god for the QoS cookbook)
there's always the reruns too
Oh
How am I supposed to live without the carp surprise
You eat other fish
mmm chub
well it's free rain and fiber so I'm not complaining
I guess that’s one way of seeing it, thx
Ohhh, all I’ve got is moss soup
the statue is unlocked by farming mastery
Is it an oversight that rancher doesn’t affect dinosaur eggs?
It's a coop critter, so I don't think so?
Smoked fish are affected by angler and artisan buffs so I don’t see why Dino eggs can’t be affected by rancher and artifact appraisal book
I’m talking about the 20% increase to sell price of animal products
Dino eggs are an artifact
I know
Not a coop product
They're classified as artifacts
The same reason why treasure appraisal guide works on them
And smoked fish are classified as artisan goods but are still affected by fisherman/angler
So why can’t dinosaur eggs be affected by two things
I'm rather annoyed by how rare it is
Better than 171 million in diamonds per year?
It beats general crops, not everything. Also, coopmaster + golden chickens is better, and realistically you can get golden chickens if you're sandbox minmaxing farm income.
I'm not sure, but I think from reading that the only thing that matters is that the fish be worth over 90 for Artisan to kick it over 250, the price of one coal.
90 x 2 = 180 x 1.4 = 252.
Angler would come into play with the value of the fish, pushing it over 90, no? Affecting only the very first number, the fish value, before doing the whole equation.
In which case, if I'm correct, I'm re-evaluating my position on the smokers, but only as far as Artisan and Angler giving it a serious boost. I'm still not sure of it without and at lower levels.
I mean, I'm catching stuff like Chubs and Carp in the early game on the Riverlands farm. I smoked them for food early on. But as a moneymaking venture I just didn't see it working at the time.
But using the same formula, the break-even point for year 1, using the 10 wood for one coal in the kiln, at 100 gold total, the break even point would be about 36g once you have Artisan, and a normal 50g until then.
36 x 2 = 72 x 1.4 = 100.8
Provided my reasoning is right. I'll have to smoke some fish and see.
And I realize that found coal doesn't fit the price model. I'm simply using that as replacement value.
Finally got that burglar ring, so dust sprites are going to be powering a fish smoking enterprise from here on out. LOL
Anyway, thanks for your insight.
And my apologies for the rambling.
Only early on. I made a few of them just to keep up with my ore needs. Got one free from a CC bundle. Haven't used them since. I'm building a second shed and when it's complete, they'll get stashed away and never seen again. Maybe even deconstructed at some point.
interesting
I never even thought about using the free one because I always stash it away and forget
how long does it take to make 1 coal?
hmm yeah
might be worth it, maybe I'll try it on my new save
I need coal anyway for riverlands smoker
I love how I went from being terrified of the SC every time I entered to having this as the average haul after a run
You can have both, in fact you can basically push a billion g per year with golden chickens and diamonds
You can have about 170 coops with golden chickens on the farm if you’re feeding daily, and more on beach farm. That’s over 500 mil a year (though less if looking at purely profit due to hay costs)
You can also fit about 18000 crystalariums off the farm and harvest about 4000-4500 a day which works out fine, you can even fit a couple extra thousand on the farm in cabins as they’re more worth it over a singular coop
Say 20,000 crystalariums harvesting 4000 a day, not 100% unreasonable with a decent route created. That’s nearly 450 million in pure profit as it requires no cost outside of food buffs. You are sacrificing like 4-5 coops for that which will reduce the total by about 15 mil so the total yearly possible is in the 915-930 mil range
And that’s without squeezing the total harvestable number of machines which could pretty feasibly go a little higher (though depends highly on routing)
Also in some areas you can even get a little more cash off of mushroom/mystic tree farming albeit by small margins
With beach farm a billion is absolutely possible though I haven’t checked all the building placement there myself
Oh no Gorilla is talking about making money
The expert is here
Honestly I’m thinking of making a short vid on a billion g farm
How are you so rich I’m in year 7 so far 😭🙏
Omgg I would love to see it
I'm saving up for the clock 💀
I want to get the most expensive thing out first, i dunno if it makes sense 😅 I haven't been spending much, because at this point I pretty much have everything I need. I only spend money now on Starfruit Seeds for my GI farm, and the occasional batch of Mega Bombs for SC runs
I should probably spend more money (like getting the desert obelisk) but I just wanna be done with the clock
Getting island and desert obelisks first is a good idea
I caved and got the Island Obelisk already, that's the only one I have now
I have enough coconuts to craft the occasional desert totem when I have perfect luck days for Skull Cavern runs
Desert Totems are also just a good sink for omni geodes
Buy desert totems for omini geodes
I probably should to be honest
But I always forget
So yeah, once I have that damn clock I can get started on the other obelisks
While that's cooking I'm currently also working on a Dinosaur Coop
Just a Deluxe Coop filled with Dinosaurs
Is it the most efficient money maker? Probably not, but I just want to have it
I'm already like halfway there
billion farm any% when
Dinosaurs are worse than basic chickens
I wonder how long this would've been lol
Yeah but consider, they're dinosaurs
I'm not in for the money
If only they grew up, that would make them neat. But they stay smol.
I have a different coop for all the chickens
Coop dinosaurs should have a .05% chance to drop a trinket that would give you a throwing fireballs dinosaur.
Unfortunately
Regardless, I already have the whole Land Before Time cast as names (including Chomper), so now I'm doing We're Back: a Dinosaur Story as names
Jurassic valley. Spared no expense.
Oh definitely
Another source of pain for people who want to get all items hmm
I wish there was a mod to have different kind of Dinosaur appearances
Land before time was a masterpiece.
Dang right
I had a full DVD with just that and like 10 of the sequels
Real talk why did it have so many sequels
This is incorrect for Year 2+ FYI
The fish (including quality and professions) needs to be worth at least 140
I do not remember watching the sequels. It must have been a huge commercial success. Maybe not in movie theaters, but so many people had a VHS tape of it.
Well, technically 139
I suppose so
The maths for whether or not smoker is worthwhile is basically 2.8 * Fish_Price > Fish_Price + Coal_Price, which can be rearranged into Fish_Price > Coal_Price / 1.8
In year 1, that means the breakeven point is 84g, and in year 2+, the breakeven point is 139g
only if you're buying coal
otherwise it's a matter of is smoking this fish more profitable than something else I can do with the coal
True, but on the other hand, you never have enough coal
idk I always have enough for my needs
I'm no minmaxxer, so for my casual playthroughs I almost always have enough just from mines and geodes etc.
Y1: if fish is worth more than 200, I smoke
Y2: if fish is worth more than 300, I smoke
I do not have infinite smokers, I do not have infinite time to make coal. Time is not easily convertible into money, but it does have a value. Also fishing takes time.
Anyway, it's also not particularly hard to exceed that breakeven point
Even a gold star sardine is worth buying a coal to smoke in year 1
With Angler profession
artisan adds to it as well
Yeah, I was factoring that in
If you don't have that, then it just becomes Fish_Price > Coal_Price
Which makes it work for a lot less fish
a lot of fish will be profitable with smoker though
and in late game you can keep doing extended family and just smoking legend ii for a huge profit
Without artisan, it's only worth it for good fish, like catfish
I always go with artisan so that's not a problem
well, it is before I get to level 10
Yeah
even then a lava eel from the mines can make good profits
or even the aforementioned catfish
Oh yeah, lava eel are easily worth it
Even fish pond lava eels are worth smoking
If you want an extra 2940g every 5 days
depends on whether or not you can be bothered regrowing the fish pond
You don't need to do anything to repopulate it, the fish pond does that itself
Question is whether you can be bothered fishing out a lava eel from the pond each time it repopulates back up to 10
To smoke it
3k isn't really a particularly noteworthy sum of money at that point IMO
You could have sold that fish for 90G and then kept the coal worth 250G, rather than spending a coal to increase the 90G fish's value by only 160
You can learn to craft the Bait Maker very early on a fishing-focused run, dramatically improving catfish yield on rainy days in the spring.
As for nonrainy days, you do stuff other than fishing. You need to do a lot of mining and woodcutting and, well, farming in Spring Y1.
By Summer, you're much freer, at which point Sturgeons are available every day-- and Super Cucumbers every night
Okay but the original argument was for Rancher, and Coopmaster is still Rancher
Here, the kind of madness made possible by targeted bait. 26 catches, 16 of which were Sturgeon, in the winter (where pikes and perches get in the way). More than half the catch was Sturgeon, and this would cost about four Sturgeons to the bait maker. Effectively 12 out of 26 is still amazing (presumably a slightly better ratio in the Summer, without Pike/Perch to interfere) for a fish this valuable
(The silver ones are because a rippling spot showed up a bit closer to shore)
Honestly I did the math wrong anyway... I used 1.4 when I should have used 1.8 (2.8 from Artisan smoked fish vs 1.0 from raw fish)
When I redo it, I get a breakpoint of 139G. Hm.
Well, even Largemouth Bass can accomplish that
thats why whenever you get coal you dont sell any of it, you keep stacking it because you are constantly gonna need it, since its one of the most common things its not even that hard to do...just make sure you upgrade all your tools first then you can smoke all you want, only my pickaxe is fully upgraded and everything else is almost there, since i dont require as much coal anymore it is ohmyyoba easy to stack it and the fish, weather good quality or not adds up to be well worth it
who the hell sells coal
Fish smoker and iridium bars are sort of the way to "sell" it (spend coal to get money)
i pick up at least 3 iridium ore every morning, put it in my chest then i go out to fish, i come back and i smoke everything, with the smoked fish and the fact i have a full coop and an almost full barn, i make like 15k every day
quick easy money...without the smoking i make like 10k
rn i have 112 coal in my chest, if it gets to 75 or below i go mining to the quary and usually get like 10-15 coal there and then ill just mine down in the mines for the rest of the day
This guy does
That's why no one likes him
I think they meant selling (to clint or putting in the shipping bin), not buying lol
could be wrong though
And still it's worth it 😔
I can't be arsed to farm dust sprites
Yes, this is what I mean
He was able to stay in pelican town thanks to lewis (golden statue) and he lives on your money after you move in
<-- the only guy in the valley who can turn a profit selling coal
oh you said that as a reply independant of context
sorry
I buy a lot of things from every store except pierre's
Me too, I've already caused mass genocide on my trash can only 25% profit margin run
coal from clint, SF seeds and DSG from sandy, wood from robin
oh ig willy's
hmm
it's fine I give him a diamond every 2 weeks or so
And killed over 1000 in y1 on my current sve run
surely he can survive
I'm shocked they still want to get close to me
I heard somewhere you can complete the monster hunter goal in a single day for dust sprites by farming level 55
I'm not going to try it myself, because I have self-respect
What's self-respect?

Nah I'm not into dust sprite farming now
I'm waiting for 1.6.9 to release so I can my second trash can only 25% margin attempt
my guy is not making ANY money
Yeah
no because that's not selling items
I'm going to test it soon to see if I want to ban it
ok then that might actually be the fastest way to generate profit lmfao
You're most likely right
why do you do this to yourself
Last time I failed because I lost motivation for sleeping like 30 years to get enough money lol
yeah I can see why
LMAO
I love doing stupid things
but respectfully
Well I am
Terraria is probably the game in which I've done some of the most insane things for my sanity
I'm fine
lawnmower only run
lol
But I'm planning some really dumb shit for 1.4.5 lmao
Getting every possible on the earliest stage it's available to get
bro needs help
If you know pokemons professor oak challenge then you're going to understand what I want to do
That's what 4k hours in a game does to you
I have a question regarding the new update.
Will the new update for console match the PC version? (Please ping me, I might not see this)
As far as content goes, it should. As far as other platform differences, probably not.
Basically it should have everything but performance wise ofc it’s gonna be a little different because of the different graphics
I'm pretty sure he confirmed that other platforms will be 1.6.9, yes
Thanks, Amelia.
okay i have everything but my trashcan upgraded and idk if i should bother doing it...whats the puprose of the trashcan being ugraded?
you get more gold by junking your items
when you have to trash items, it gives you a percentage of their worth back, only really useful on SC runs when your invetory gets full
or you're doing a challenge run of some kind
whats the highest percentage you can get back?
60%
who would've been so stupid to do this kind of a run... oh wait that's me
what was your income before the first upgrade? IIRC the regular trashcan doesn't give anything back
quests, probably
yeah quests
but I also did 25% profit margin
so even with iridium trash can I barely made money from ''selling'' items
poverty simulator
special orders my beloved
You're right. I was only covering the value of the coal and not the value of the fish unsmoked. So stupid of me. This is why I don't do math so late at night. LOL
So it's 100 break-even point year 1 without Artisan, 250 break-even point without Artisan every year thereafter.
Break-even point in year 1 with Artisan is 56, every year thereafter it jumps to 140. That's a helluva jump.
A gold largemouth bass is 150 without even having fisher/angler, it's fine
Dark Linus playthrough
Linus: doesn't like having too much money at a time, carefully picks through garbage cans to take out what he needs
You: stuffing things into the garbage can in a frenzy to try making as much money as possible that way
Lmao
that's true though
I'm going to guess that it's going to be way easier in 1.6 than it was in 1.5
prismatic butterflies are going to be an actual money source lmao
84g in year 1, unless you were using charcoal kiln pricing with buying wood from Robin, which I would suggest is not worth it due to the extra time/infrastructure investment required anyway
Butterflies still suck, the real clincher for 1.6 is the parrot
Parrot is really good
I am lost on what to do with my GI farm. I am past endgame and I don't need grapes but they are nice for raisins
Wait maybe I should setup an outdoor dehydrator spot
in GI
or I can just use the quarry to be fair
Could set up garden potted fairy roses for bee houses
Fairy rose honey is normally limited by season and by grow time (restricting it to around two-thirds of that season)
Year-round fairy rose honey is strong as hell
It's a pretty good option for mystic tree + mushroom log farm
Is the fairy dust powder from the raccoon any good or should I sell them?
Yeah that's my plan now although I might be able to retire from stardew early lol
Because Leah finally asked if I wanted another baby and I said yes
Grapes?
Yeah because Raisins
Ooooh
although tbh I don't need it because I am already past endgame
I have no need to have all my wealth
That's understandable, tho Raisins are still a good money maker, 800 gold is a lot!
||that's with artisan||
That’s not a lot
That's pennies in endgame
Honestly money is just a number to me
My final major project I hope to finish before my son is born
How much iridium ore is normal to get in just a day (Skull Caverns) ? Cause it's my first time in here and I already have 25
That's quite good for a first run. May I suggest you use your first iridium bars to make more crystalariums. It will allow you to dupe more jades to trade for more staircases, allowing you to go deeper and get more iridium. Upgrading tools and sprinklers can wait.
Bombs (including the slingshot with explosive ammo), food and staircases. Spicy eels and TSE for speed and luck.
I just finished a run where I didn't even start mining until I staircased down to level 100 and ended up with 450 iridium. And there are folks who can do a lot better than me at it.
By the end of it I ended up with over 50 and a prismatic shard
(I think I got to almost level 60) but I ran out of healing stuff / food
I have one crystalarium currently, but I'll definitely make some more

That's a very impressive first run! Well done!
Thank you!
I'm assuming I just had a really high luck day
Luck, but skill too. You don't get those numbers without it.
I find Skull Cavern less scary that the actual mines cause it's not all dark n spooky
You do know what you're supposed to do with that prismatic shard, right?
I took my first one to the desert for the sword
This one I should donate ? Or should I keep it ?
Sorry if that sounded patronizing. I didn't know your experience with the game.
Nuu! You're fine
I always donate the second. You'll find plenty more at the rate you're going. Save all of those. You'll need them later.
Iridium runs are mostly about getting as deep as possible as fast as possible - 25 for a first run where you aren't trying to optimize for depth is pretty good
Since it won't mostly spawn until around floor 30, but you can score it off of monsters before then
I also had used a monster spray thing I found, so I'm sure that helped >.< I got a lot of the ores from slimes and bats
Thank you!
Ah, monster musk? Yeah, that's useful, though for pure iridium dives, enemies are counterproductive ish
The more iridium you get, the more you inevitably need
So stairs are my best bet then? To get past floor 30 fast
That's the usual strategy
Spam stairs to 50-75, then go nuts with bombs
There's also min max shenanigans to animation cancel to save in game time
The amount of bombs I have been burning through on those Mummies
animation cancel isn't important, pause buffering is key
Yeah. Don't kill them unless it's a multipurpose bomb to shatter a bunch of rock
Sorry, yes. The ADHD squirrels took the easy but wrong phrasing
makes sense
Get explosive ammo for the slingshot. It's cheaper and will blow up mummies just fine, and also work for ores next to walls or mobs and be a lot faster than bombs, because you don't have to wait for it to go off; the explosion is instant.
You still want bombs for big clusters of ore in the middle of rooms.
Since mummies chase you, I run to the clusters of stones I wanted to bomb anyway, and fight them there (sometimes after planting the bomb, during the fuse time) so the bomb gets the stones and mummies at once
I do carry a slingshot and explosive ammo tho. This is just to illustrate a way to conserve.
The multihit mechanic of the hammer special can crush mummies fast if they're cornered (such as against those stones I'm blasting)
what enchant are you running with? and on what weapon?
Or, even better: you transform sap into fertiliser, get rich and then spend your hard earned money on oil of garlic at the dwarf shop so you can not have mummies spawn in the first place
Artful Galaxy Hammer (not enough materials to bring it to Infinity and haven't gotten around to gemming)
I don't think oil of garlic affects mummies
Also Mummies drop precious Solar Essence, which helps fuel my Mega Bomb spree. Gold ore is common, Serpents are common and drop Void Essence, so that's the missing piece
Regular mine if I recall
Danger in the Deep is the regular Mines. Skull Cavern Invasion is SC.
And the Hunger one is SC also.
The first two times I did Danger in the Deep, Abigail made it to B20F ahead of me.
I have no idea how. The elevators are broken and anyone currently in the mine is kicked out when the quest is accepted. The only way to get there ahead of me would have been to walk past me
She uses all those amethysts she pretends to eat to produce fancy staircases
Argh - day 6 green rain - There goes my plans for day 5, I need to prep the tree farm area right now. Bah
Come back slightly later, rain.
Literally accidentally reinvented the old "Rain rain, go away; come again another day" song
Yeah - I was just hoping for a few more days to clearcut a section of my farm to lay out the trees
And gives you extra reach
it's still great in the late game don't worry
Looking good
I am probably going to retire from all of stardew for a while but it's been fun chatting and asking question's from y'all
Oh that's a lovely map layout
It was fun seeing you progress through the achievements and chatting with you too
Got any tips for fector's challenge? im trying to finish stardew achievements before factorio space age
I just used mod
if you're not entirely against "cheating" in any way, you can save scum by finishing a level, exiting, and sleeping. that way resetting the day will reset your progress to the last save point if you died
there are also some specific ways of cheesing bosses
fector in particular is very cheesable
how about upgrade strategy? which order for the upgrades and stuff
damage is the best (kind of obvious since it's the most expensive lol)
I do damage 1, firerate 1, damage 2 and firerate 2 in that order usually
serach for shepard's messages, someone explained to him all the strats
if RNG blesses you, go for more damage
Yeah - DMG 1 DMG 2 Fire Rate 1 (Fire Rate 2 OR Movement 1)
Skip shops if you don't have enough money, and reset if you don't get 15 coins by shop 1
Thanks. I will at least try to beat it normally before savescumming, lol
And Fector is the easiest fight in the game if you take the right powerup
the bosses in general are pretty easy. mob swarms are much more difficult
ofc the biggest enemy is rng... you never get drops when you want them
always keep a combat item on hand
Yeah - the first two are just irritating to not get greedy on
what is moss used for?
deluxe bait, or you suffer and save for 333 for a cool statue
also mushroom logs
i think a few times during the summer
yeah the statue part is later game oh that too ^^
or is it only once during the summer (maybe i’m not a good help-giver)
ooo thats a good one
One random day during the summer - there's only like 8? days it can trigger
you can see it on tv the day before
oh :(
Also be sure to plant tree seeds right before it happens
The TV will make it blatantly obvious (Also, generally I find a later green rain is better because you can take advantage of having more space)
why?
bc it's a massive aoe tree fertilizer
all your trees might grow adult in one single night and you get even more moss
oh wow ok
Moss is the real goal. Fiber is nice, but there are other means to get it. Moss is the real treasure, because otherwise it is very tedious to get some, unless you have a massive tree farm
on year 1, it can also make sense to cut a few fern trees, since they are nice to process
If you have mahogany seeds and plant them, you could have a hardwood farm in a single day maybe never need to cut hardwood from the secret woods anymore
To cut weeds on the grain rain day, use speed boost meals + triple expresso if available, use weapons that hit fast instead of strong(the insect blade is decent at it with its +4 speed).
is smapi mobile not compatible with sv latest version (1.5.6.52) yet?
Nope

no alternatives or ways around it with older versions?
I don't even think there's anyone working on that rn
Not legally
!androidsmapi
Android SMAPI does not currently work for versions of SDV past 1.5.6.39. We do not know if or when it will be made compatible. It is not possible to downgrade to .39 through legal means so do not ask how to do this.
Many mods are broken or buggy. That's often something Android SMAPI needs to fix, and we may not be able to provide a solution.

mystic
Pine generates chanterelles, though tbh I'd accept the morels from oaks since I can also tap the oaks for resin.
Mystic is indeed strongest, though hard to get a lot of them
sorry i meant for early game
yeah, Pine trees in this case would be the best
and if you leave them untouched long enough, they'll also produce moss
I've made a spreadsheet to test patterns out, if you're interested
ooo yes please
I'll DM it to you if it's alright?
Shroom Logs and Tappers are learned at the same level, though...
oh sorry i have all that turned off
its ok dw about it
I need to transfer it to a Google Doc spreadsheet, it would be easier to share
The worrisome thing is that it would be hard to make shroom logs that early. Hardwood and moss.
Extremely unlikely to see any moss until the first summer, and hardwood is never easy to get in large quantities
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b26KBfhMkmwve3f38eYcCdYG7Lt_-12fKMj7XzdAhU8/edit?usp=sharing
I've transfered it to google spreadsheet; remember to clone it into your own drive or download it, don't directly modify it else no one will be able to use it
jar them maybe?
Could also eat them for energy if you didn't save your Salmonberries
Until walnut room
Context was earlygame, walnut room is endgame
Yeah makes sense
Moss is just hard to get outside of green rain/tapper farm
Hardwood depends on how early you can get to secret woods
What's more, spending hardwood on this means not spending it on a Stable for the horse, or possibly not having enough for the Ginger Island boat

Or raccoon house
Oh yeah! That's why I didn't have enough for the boat!
Oh boy it's sure going to be fun chopping down hundreds of mahogany trees and giant stumps on my trash can only 25% profit margin run lmao
I'm going get level 20 in foraging
Every farmer is an axe murderer, to a tree
Chair exploiting into the secret woods to get an early mahogany seed from the slimes there is probably the go-to if you want mass hardwood in the "early game"
Get a mahogany tree on your farm, and it can spread seeds naturally
Just need it to grow
got some cutseen where linus was taking a happy bath in the river while it was winter lol
He's boosting his immune system
Ice bath challenge: wildman edition
Forest farm
Hm, maybe! How many stumps were on it again?
Hardwood is the only reason I'm choosing forest farm on my next run lol
9 iirc
I think 8
wait is it 8?
4 higher and 4 lower
That's still more than the secret woods has, so daily hardwood income is more than doubled. Nice.
hmm yeah I think it's 8
That leaves the moss.
Did the Forest Farm allow for planting tree seeds in those "grass carpet" tiles?
Because then we can at least get a gazillion trees up to collect moss on Green Rain day
Used standard farm last attempt and it was a bad idea lmao
The Foraging farm (Forest) for the Foraging playstyle (early shroom logs). I should've realized that sooner.
I'm pretty sure yes, and you can chop down most of the bushes
This might just work, then
Who is going to test it now?
not me
I call Not It
Wait... I might try doing that on my run lol
Moss and hardwood don't require money
Only to upgrade axe
This might just work as an early/mid game passive money maker for me
...Heh.
Shrooms used to be an active early/midgame money maker, back when legacy randomization made shroom floors in the mine super predictable and before they were limited to one visit per day
"It's a compliment! Really!"
Does anyone have an optimal/best mushroom log setup?
Is depends on scale really
Is green rain only once a year?
It depends on which mushroom you want, I've sent a link to a spreadsheet allowing you to test patterns out earlier
This one
I don't have the layout on me, but I've been slowly growing a mystic tree mushroom log setup in my quarry space
Optimal is one of these two. Replace the crystal tiles with whatever your tree of choice is - mystic is generally best.
Grid pattern gets higher mushroom quality and has a higher density of trees, which is good since mystic syrup sells for a ton, but snake pattern has a higher density of mushroom logs (and is a lot more convenient to harvest)
gonna save this for later use
In both cases, the farm gets more efficient the larger you scale it
I should probably crunch some actual numbers on expected values for those patterns at some point
But CBF right now, mushroom log maths is hard... or at least, tedious
I believe grid pattern generates higher income per tile if you sell raw and use mystic trees, and snake pattern is better if you process most mushrooms
But since mushroom logs and mystic trees can go off-farm, they're actually kinda competing with machines for space, which means the usual "ignore processing machines for g/d calculations" doesn't work
I have a question about the grid pattern, would you not be able to remove the top row of trees on each row and compact it further that way?
That's basically what snake pattern is, you just swap each other tree with the adjacent mushroom log to ensure that every log in the middle of the pattern has 12 trees in range
ah I forgot it's not just directly adjecent trees
Snake pattern is better for most purposes TBH, but grid pattern has some advantages too
Just compacting the grid pattern like results in some logs only having 8 trees in range, which means they're not guaranteed to generate 5 mushrooms
Oh yeah, grid pattern is also much more likely to generate iridium quality than snake pattern
Which is good if you're using purple mushrooms for healing
May I know if it's a good idea to this mushroom log pattern on my farm in my first year?
or it's recommended to only do this after a few years?
I wouldn't do it on the farm, personally
i’m so flipping excited for my first green rain i can’t EVEN
i cant wait for 1.6 to come out on consoles so i can get the alleyway buffet book
i want the garbage hat so bad 😭
17/18 days left (depends on your time zone)
So... apparently you can put rice into a keg to make vinegar.. and if you don't want moss to grow on a specific tree (from ||green rain, etc||), you can apply it to said tree and it won't grow on it anymore 0.0
i knowwww im so excited
for me it's going to be a week late bday gift lol
yes that's a thing and also you can just buy vinegar
and also no need to spoiler green rain, this is the spoiler channel after all
I just never knew you could make it
I wasn't sure just wanted to be careful
thank you!
because you couldn't until 1.6
you also couldn't put it on trees until 1.6.4
1.6 is a blessing
like 17.5 days for me until the start of nov 4, and then however long until the update actually drops
I just started playing during this update so it's all new to me
Are there better uses for omni-geodes after the update?
I guess buying artifact troves with omni geodes is now even better with the new book
but like a new use? I don't believe there is
and that might also depend on your mining profession
which is more profitable
one minor buff is that the geode crusher no longer uses coal to open them
I have over 1.3k omnis
that's 1.3k coal saved
Int limit soon
What do you mean
I don't know exactly how they work but it's somewhat like minecraft right?
Well if you reach 2,147,483,647 your money will reset to 0
Like I can put one funneling them in and one taking what comes out right?
Oh I will be staying away from thay
So the hoppers only funnel in?
unfortunately, yes
there could be a mod for that
Mobile
oh well
Rip
you're not afraid of spoilers, coming in here?
No
I've seen so many already and I've been too excited
Nov 4th
Is the date of peak
I'll probably start a new run, just for the Legendaries
Nah I refuse
I'm at 100% rn and I plan to start the update on spring 1
Of whatever year I'm at
Tbh I just want the ||raccoons||
Like that's the peak of the update
This might be my worst trout derby ever, because I'm cheap and lazy and using the starting rod ha
i need the update out now for console 😭 i’ve been dying to make a new farm
but forcing myself to wait
Me too
Really. Oh, wow. Gotta build me some. Was going to wait until later in the game.
I always have them. Now I don't have to argue with the haters about using coal for them. LOL
i feel that. my switch has been rotting on my shelf with nothing new to play
And now Clint's letter ("I hope this doesn't make me obsolete") is a little more valid of a suspicion.
Though we still need him for coconuts and troves and mystery boxes, so he still has that going for him
Just to clarify (sorry for the ping so long after) does it reset my money entirely or just the number
Like do I lose my money
F
It does repeat yes
Armstrong!?
Should've sliced your heart a few more times
The Qi quests all repeat.
we do be shmooving
Faster!
some creepy stuff is ahead of us...
Omg it's bigfoot
figboot
Gotta go faster!!! 🏃
Or the best hopper setup:
I read that as hopper soup
how come my plants r withering sometimes
The source of so many of my lategame materials
It's either end of the season, or if you're planting seasonal wild seeds, they just look like that
Oh also it might have been lightning
damn ok
Do you have any lightning rods?
10+ is a good amount to be safe
Okay Sonic

this guy buys tackles
We love hopper deconstructor setups
what do you have so much of that you need so many deconstructors?
Quick processing times for deconstruction
Fishing bobbers bought from Willy. It's my primary source of gold, iron, and hardwood
i have uh... cough 32 (or 24 i forgor)
because why not
you guys are really bothering with unstackable tackles for common-ish resources?
oh no it's for stone
stairs
99 stone per staircase op
I mean, me too, but Robin only needs 1000, that's 11 stairs in a week
They're not particularly common compared to the rate at which I go through them
It's 5 gold per crystalarium
Most likely not for her special order but buildings/crafting (crystalariums)
Real talk I love how "easily" you can get Magic Rock Candy from the raccoons
They make Skull Cavern Runs so much more bountiful
I personally prefer trading with the desert trader
sure, you only get 1 per week, but I usually don't need more anyway
they're not exclusive, and they use different resources for their respective trades
MRC is mostly useful for treasure runs anyway
For iridium runs, you don't need the luck
Exactly, iridium is just a side hustle now for money
I really want that Auto-Petter, but all I keep getting is Seeds and Cowboy Hats
you could try and open up some of those golden boxes, they might have an autopetter or two
is the raccoon trade also limited?
for MRC
20 golden boxes per candy, but not limited
Also 3 regular boxes for 1 golden
I just pop a monster musk and hit the ice level of the mines with a burglar-lucky ring
I always get around 5-10 boxes per day
it helps but it's minor
good point. I usually open all my mystery boxes though, because who doesn't want to open loot boxes
me
what do you use them for? do you get MRC from them too?
I got the book you can get from them, so now I focus on giving them to the trash pandas
for now I just save them because I haven't unlocked raccoon shop to that level on my main file
I don't feel like opening 250 golden mystery boxes lol
I'm at the point that rewards are pretty much worthless
so more mrc for sc runs is always welcome
but- but it's gambling
how could you resist
So is SC
I have ptsd for gambling on this save file
You never know what's in those treasure rooms
over 1000 fucking mobs to get red cabbage seeds
It could be something good, or it could be another goddamn yeehaw hat
let me rest
I can power through SC with enough prep, I can't power through RNG lmao
I'm being serious right now
1336 to be exact (this amount is counting burglar's always on when killing a mob, my amount of kills is 668)
and that's only serpents + mummies
I have no idea how many purple slime I have killed
so yeah I hate rng
hey yall can i switch from mushroom cave to fruit cave at any time or is it a set thing?
it's set
gotcha
huh???
Where qi at
Is it cause I don't have the note yet...?
and whats that special chest
yeah
im am such
a goofball
istg if I lose iridium + prismatics im gonna go cry
this always happens to me on good runs
I just forgot about my hp...
And I even brought the elexir
mistake number 1: not looking at hp
Phew
yea
I'd say recover the gold. At some point money is no object and you can just buy Shadow Essence from Krobus. If you were dying for emeralds, you would have crystalariums set up already.
No crystallariums yet, and yea its an obvious gold choice here
I don't really need it for now tho, so I guess Ill just let it be there untill I do
Crystallarium’s are not a bad idea, I use it for fire quartz, rubies, and jades
It doesn’t cost too much, just 1 iridium bar, battery pack, and other things idr
What is a good use for emeralds?
Oooohh my bad maybe im thinking of a diff recipe then
Gift for penny
i just got quality fertilizer from a mystery box 3 times in a row
