They’re slow and very easy to avoid regularly
As well as being predictable and taking a load of knockback
Anyone knows how to remove the haunted mannequin that is being annoying in my house?
pickaxe doesn't work. I'll try a bomb.
what does it do?
i have one but havent placed it yet
It moves on its own, takes your clothes and hauntes you at night. Thought it would be fun but he blocks stuff and you can not get rid of it easily.
Guys, genuinely question here. We can’t grow big crops in greenhouse? it’s been there almost 2 seasons lol..
You can’t
good to know, thank you
holy shit
only now i find out how to see qi 💀
i keep hearing about mr. qi and i had to look up the wiki to know how to find him 💀
lmao
i now know though
is talking about stuff in the 1.6.9 beta patch notes alright in here or is that advanced spoilers?
this channel is free real estate with spoilers afaik
like you can talk anything without worrying about spoilering
oh coolio, cause im a bit confused on what this means
like what does unlimited output mean in the context of fishponds
I’m assuming it apply the double product infinitely
how so?
So like after it double the product it continues to apply the bonus to the doubled product
This is speculation I do not know code
ohhh
so like it would double 1 roe to 2 roe and then 2 roe to 4 and keep doubling indefinetly i assume
either that or if you left the roe in the pond without picking it up it would double that roe indefinetly until you picked it up
that would definetly get messy if you left a prismatic shard from a rainbow trout pond to double indefinetly lmao
In 9 days you can get a full stack of items from a fishpond.
Alexa's channel:
@alexion3007
FAQ:
Q: HOW?!
A: Animal Crackers double the output from a fish pond. If a fish pond doesn't produce an item, the previous day's produce will double instead. Keep on doubling and you end up with 999.
Watch Live on Twitch for Challenge and Speedruns:
ht...
Basically, if a fish pond produces nothing, but has leftover produce from the previous day... the golden cracker doubles whatever was left in there
oh lmao yeah i can see why thats getting patched out
We love you Concerned Ape I'm so damn excited for November 4th

finally a date for mobile and console?
Yes~ nov 4! Is the release date of 1.6 for mobile and console~
Easiest? Absolutely.
The other fast strategy is basically deep dives in Skull Cavern
Which is much more skill dependent
Yes
Every iridium node, mystic stone, or calico egg node is 50xp
Good SC runs at a high level usually start around floor 900 or so
You basically bring an entire stack of staircases with you, obtained from jade crystalarium spam + the desert trader
Spam them all to get deep, and then start mega bomb spamming
Because iridium nodes are much more common the deeper you get
Nah, it can go really fast, since SC dives give you all the materials needed to make more crystalariums, so you can go deeper next week, to make more crystalariums, to go deeper next week, etc.
Possible
Iridium Bats drop them, but those do often end up as the limit
But even so, you can get like, 50+ battery packs per storm with enough lightning rods
Idea generally if you're doing this is to start building up jade early on using the crystalarium from the vault
Yeah, I just use them as fencing TBH
They are the best fence, they don't deteriorate.
Hardwood fences deteriorate after 5 years
Well unless you have the golden clock, you wont need to worry about decaying fences and debris.
i like it!
Was sad to let it go, but I wanted to aim for an even more endgame completionist farm than that one in 1.6
Which is going quite slowly
farms like this make my brain happy, hell yeah aligned stuff
I probably need to rework my plan for my 1.6 farm given the upcoming 1.6.9 changes (||legendary fish ponds||)
I need to figure out a good way to display them, and my current plan doesn't have any spaces for that
i see :0 what farm did you pick?
This is the long term plan
ooo beach farm 👀 it's looking very optimized
i have no plans on marrying any bachelors and bachellorettes.
funny how you get mystery boxes by opening mystery boxes. mystery boxception
tbh hardwood fences are an easy hell yeah for me, ill either finish the playthrough or have the golden clock by five years
I'm aiming for longterm goals which might take decades of in-game time
... in large part because of the desert festival
ahh yep i get that one
Lots of unique items there
for sure :,)
Although actually collecting everything unique variation of every item is functionally impossible now
Because of the damn cactis
how many possible combinations are there again?
9216
oof even if every desert fest you'd join with 8 ppl that would still take ungoldly amounts of time 😭
Plus you can get duplicates
ye that too
:0
I have a rainbow shell in my chest
hell yeahh
then just HARVESTED MY BEETS
Assuming every cactus variation is equally likely... on average you'd need to collect 89.5k in order to get them all
hell yeahhh
i now need to do the last quest holy shit
disgusting amount of numbers
i didnt expect that coincidence happening LMAO
alright!
90 millennia of attending the desert festival in order to collect every cactus variation
Upside, you can also work on expanding the possessed doll farm while you're doing this!
speaking of every variation i'm gonna have to update my non-furniture catalogue items spreadsheet at Some Point
You can dove ~3 children per year if you do it optimally
So you'll probably have around 270k doved children by the time you finish the collection
Which in turn means you could get about 45 million gold every time you clear out the Witch Hut
With level 4 parrot egg
make your kids work for you, I guess XD
For some reason on 15th of fall I cannot offer a gift to Sandy. The gift option does not appear, I always talk with her.
Which one? The supply crate?
all items run?
'Boat', it's a fishing easter egg
That's part of it. Goal is to basically be as endgame as possible
ah
Actually have a few difficult decisions I have to make as part of it
I want every fish caught at maximum size
Except there's an issue with that, because 1.6 actually reduced the maximum possible size of the Angler
Due to the changes in the terrain there
So in order to get max length, I need to catch the Angler in 1.5
But if I catch it in 1.5, I can't get the extra copies of it from Challenge Bait
it seems to me, in my opinion, that catching it in 1.6 would be the better option, then. 1.6 may have reduced the Angler's size, but you are still catching it at the maximum size possible for the version of the game that you're playing, and then you still get to use challenge bait
Currently I'm leaning towards "catch in 1.5, then use farmhands to catch extra copies"
that would also work as a workaround, yeah
Actually, I should test whether challenge bait counts as multiple fish for the "Fish caught" statistic
sheesh... how am I supposed to get this butterfly? I can't jump that high!
I guess you can't catch it? I don't think it moves, so...
it flutters a bit from side to side, but that's about it
doesn't even go left far enough to get it from the ledge Linus's tent is on
That's kinda sad :/
you just click on it.
you don't have to like catch it. just click on it
I'm too far away for clicks to grab hold
oh! I accidentally stepped into the mines, and when I stepped out it had moved to by Linus's tent!!
and I didn't need to click on it, proximity is what triggers it
aaaaaaaaaand I forgot that I just spent 1 mil yesterday so I only got pittance 🙄
That doesn't matter
It's a percentage of lifetime earnings, not cash on hand
It's a pittance anyway because the percentage is that small
oooh so I misremembered... good
well, it was still like 15k so now I feel less broke than I did when the day started 😅
It's a pittance anyway because it's capped at 50k if you have >10M lifetime earnings
whats all your fav crops for summer ❤️ can be vaniella or modded ❤️
Starfruit >>>>>>> everything else
yes i always grow starfruit, melons, watermelons, and blue berries
[[Hops]]
Hops are crazy goood the only debuff is that it’s a trellis
Hops is great income per tile per day, but it's awful income per IRL time
not for junimos
I'm not spending hours every day harvesting and loading my kegs
I’ve been trying to find a mod that can do trellis crops that works with Better Junimos (better Junimos forestry used to work but 1.6 broke it)
Fair, but the money
I can more than make up the difference by using all that extra time in SC
i have total earnings 675.000g+ in year 3, i only used hops
Like, over the course of a season, you'd probably spend like... maybe 3 in-game days just processing all the hops
To be fair, most of the reason I like hops is cause I make alcohol as a hobby in real life lmao
Specifically beer, of course, considering the hops
That was end of year 2
Good stuff! I’m year 4 on my first ever world and I just got perfection so that’s pretty cool!
I was also running in a custom made tiny farm that I designed specifically to be awful
About 1/4 as much space as riverland farm, and it's all sandy soil so no sprinklers
I think I’m gonna go with a trellis only challenge farm cause that seems interesting
i wasn't using anything except hops, that should be the only reason i dont have more earnings
i mean
wasn't doing anything, i focused on hops only and never left the farm
only to buy hops
around 22 at the moment
22 in y3 is not a lot. I have that y1
i was lazy
This is what my GI looked like:
and 600.000+ in start of year 3 is pretty good for me
Mine is just as much ancient fruit as I could pack in on the main farm bit and that’s it lol
I’m a little lazy
And the replant isn’t fun so I went with ancient fruit
Trellises aren't the main problem with hops anymore; it's that the best places to grow hops (greenhouse, GI, indoors) are places we can't deploy Junimos to harvest them for us
Ah yeah that makes more sense
does a barn need 1 or 2 heaters?
I was doing a 2 year perfection challenge, so I couldn't really afford the setup time it takes to propogate large quantities of ancient fruit
1
Just one
that how my 2nd farm on 2nd ever save looks like (joja)
One heater per coop/barn
Junimos needs to step up their game. Iridium scythe makes them look weak with narrow shoulders.
I’m gonna do the glitch speedrun tactic for getting the joja achievement cause it’s just boring making mega amounts of money instead of having goals to look out for
Based (good luck my friend)
Actually the cc forces you to play a certain way while Joja frees you from going for barn/coop/pig/goat/cow/chicken. You can do whatever you want. The cc imprisons you.
that's what i am about to do as well
i need living hat
im not going to do anything with 2nd farm before i get it
Yeah but my dumbass likes having certain items to get and the feeling of progression through building the cc back up again, instead of “ooo copious amounts of wine by winter year 1, I can’t wait to instantly buy all of the big main quest”
Glorious capitalism where I discard all notions of diversifying my revenue streams and instead just produce millions of a single, high value good to take advantage of the fact that the country apparently has fixed purchasing prices for goods
Do they even have shoulders
pretty much the only reason i always do joja is to piss off peehair
i still like him
saying that again, i loved him even more when cutscene where he takes away all pierre's customers on his damn birthday
I understand you. I used to think the same way. I was surprised by how much fun I had during my joja run, so now I am not as criticizing towards Joja.
good
but he is never mean towards farmer, even if you fix cc
Honestly, I can’t judge, the last time I tried joja I only made it half way through but maybe I should give it another shot honestly.
I wonder how fun that would be if there was some kind of market fluctuation. Prices variations from one year/season/week to the other could be interesting.
People were so mad about the Y2 wood/stone price hike
I dont know what they need, but now they take space for a very limited advantage. I have not built them since 1.5
The advantage now is the raisin multiharvest bonus
I never bought wood/stone before. This is so strong. Being able to buy 1k wood in a glimpse of an eye instead of slowly roaming through the valley while planting tree seeds for the next harvest is so much time saving. I feel Robin should have a limited amount of them.
It is their new, ahem, raisin d'être
And then we received glorious deconstructor strats to get stone instead lol
my void salmons going crazy
i got to ginger island and i practically turned my farm space into a farming area becauee it's winter at the valley 🤣
like at least 80% of it
LMAO
You used your farm as a farm
the floor is made out of floor
is what i'm saying about the ginger island farm
"Follow me for more farming tips"
Starfruit's available year round, I suppose
i planted all the mixed seeds for now
Plant crops that produce more than once!!
Could get blueberry seeds at the night market for that, until you have enough Ancient to propagate
If it's money wise I have 78 ancient fruit seeds in the greenhouse
Since I've been using my first batch of ancient fruits to make more ancient fruits
(Seedmaker)
That's how it's done
what's the command for the junimo hut + sprinklers setup?
After I do the quest with the frog inside that cave, then I'll plant alot of ancient fruit
i forgor that thing
was it a frog
Oh.
!junimohut
That wasn't it.
thanks!
The layout is uneven so you're gonna have to figure out the sprinkler situation yourself, I suppose
i'm focusing on building sheds on the main farm first
it's time to open ms paint
i've used the cabins for so long the space is too tiny for my growing ancient fruit empire
Link also pinned in https://discord.com/channels/137344473976799233/421386982787252224! You can also upload your current game file to design with!
banger
Is it possible to get every achievement in Stardew besides joja one
I already got that one
Yes
But I am trying to get every achievement in my current game
I don't believe any other achievements are mutually exclusive
living hat feels so rare that i start to believe it is a large lie
1/100,000 drop chance
i cannot get it even from wilderness golems using 2 burglar rings
Also is it just me or it takes longer to fully finish museum
burglar doesn't stack
Burglar rings don't stack, and that's still 1/10,000 drop chance
dammit
Wilderness golem is by far the worse way to try get it
You can break 10 weeds far faster than you can find and kill a wilderness golem
i remember how i used to have a gulag with 20+ wilderness golems, i got nothing
guess that statue doesn't worth it
but at least it is a small chance
v1.6 added ways to finish it very quickly, that did not exist in v1.5
Really?
Like what
Treasure totems?
Yeah
Also I need dragon tooth and like i never get any from lava lurks
Idk why, probably RNG
Stingray fishpond may help
I just want to make ginger island warp totems
Ew. Make one for the crafting collection and then save teeth for the obelisk
True yeah
Dragon Teeth are now way more valuable than they were in v1.5, due to innate enchants
Isn't that only for non galaxy weapons
So maybe if I was a slingshot player, I would want it
iridium needle is a non galaxy weapon
The Iridium Needle is way better than the galaxy/infinity dagger with the right innate
Stacks with scout and acrobat?
Why wouldn't it? It doesn't affect the same thing
it is good for iridium needle
irdium needle is surprisingly great for a dagger
The innate in question here is the crit multiplier one
even better than infinity dagger, not gonna lie
Needle can get very high crit rates, so the critpower innate instakills things quite often. Far fewer average stabs to take an enemy down
would be the best weapon of all if it could hit in more directions
Anything that powerful kinda needs limitations
true
Dragontooth weapons were already comparable to infinity weapons anyway, and they can get innate enchantments
... if you order things right, anyway
Wow so like they are better than infinity?
I thought infinity was the strongest
Galaxy has 80 avg dmg
Dwarf is equivalent, D.Tooth is stronger with 90 avg dmg
Infinity is 110 avg dmg
The question is whether an innate would be stronger than ~20% more damage. It might...
It'd be hard to justify for a hammer in particular, though
The crit power quite significant IIRC
Pierre moment
Even before 1.6, some of really high end combat minmaxers said the Dragontooth Club was the actual best weapon in the game, because of its high base damage and crit build synergy
So maybe hunt for that when I go mining?
Do I need good luck?
Volcano purple chests specifically
To get it
The weapons, that is
Luck helps, yeah
Also yeah I need to get dragon tooth for obelisj
In that luck makes volcano chests more likely to be purple
That’s just daily luck right
No actually
The benefit from Infinity weapons is that you can get Galaxy Souls anywhere and no RNG is required to get the first prismatic for them (there's a guaranteed one at the volcano caldera)
Buff luck matters too
Oh yeah I need galaxy souls too
Which is a little cursed
It's determined by your luck when you first enter the new floor
Get the Rumpled Fruit Skin at the desert fest and then immediately go to the opposite end of the world map
IIRC the actual layouts are fixed based on seed and day, it's just whether chests are purple or not that checks your luck
1.6 makes spending MRC on Volcano runs less questionable, which is nice for item hunting
Since you're no longer limited to 1 per week
...or trying to grind Haunted Skulls for them
I always bring some seasoned ginger ale with me though to chug before entering floor 9
Oh is sonar bobber useful?
I thought it would be but it seems useless before you catch the fish
It's really niche
Good for trying to get specific fish out of season using magic bait
Can save real-world time by seeing the fish in the minigame and canceling if you don't want it
But honestly, 95% of the time, a skilled fisher can tell what the fish is anyway just from how it moves
And if you're not a skilled fisher, you probably want trap bobber more than sonar
Can save you fishing buff food too, since buff timers don't freeze during the fishing minigame
It's almost October. Spooky Scary Skeleton Season
Terraria crossover part 2
I got advanced rod os I got both initially
true
ALso squidfest was easy
already finished at noon ingame
Your inventory rn
Thank lord for squid bait
There are two days with different prizes
Yeah I am going to do more on the next day
Go get 'em
I know second day you need to catch 2 more squid for iridium prizes
I sure do know a thing or two about skeletron
I'm getting infernum ptsd when I see him
does this boulder ever get removed in vanilla or just some mods?
You can only get there when you reach perfection (in vanilla)
One of these days I'm going to do max waivers and it's going to be... fun
You can try using exploits/cheats to get there before perfection
||Mr. Qi will get there ahead of you, because of course he did, and then he beats your ass||
I am not making that up
He can also take all your money if you're broke
and it seems in SVE moss is more abundant than vanilla since i;ver only gotten one moss covered tree so far
got a vid u can dm of this? lol
need to see that cutscene
Normally getting knocked out is capped at 10% of wealth or 1k, whichever is smaller
this guy is straight up Sans from Undertale
But Mr Qi doesn't have the 10% of wealth check
So if you have less than 1k, he will actually knock you down to 0g
... or at least that was the case at 1.6 launch
Dunno if that's been patched since
Little bit, but with the exact opposite work ethic
lol thx, it was great
You need 4 bones though
My headcanon is that ||he hecking haymakers the farmer in a straight shot into the clinic bed. Straight down the mountain, through Harvey's roof and second floor||
Do powdermelons count for Qi's Prismatic Grange as blue? I'm not sure the list is complete.
I think it should
Trap bobber is the only bobber ever needed
I got 2 banana saplings, let's go!
I go for cork bobbers usually personally - best for perfect catches, which are especially good since the addition of challenge bait.
is this good?
It's not really worth growing honestly. Of those, strongest option is preserve jars though.
Yeah I will probably skip powdermelon next year
or just stop growing it, it doesn't even have any recipes
Actually, misremembered
Wine is still slightly better than jelly lol
It's just really close
What about dehydrators?
slightly better? Like is it better for the time it takes?
tbh its not worth anything it has no recipes the only reason u wanna grow it is really to get as much as xp as u can through winter to reach lvl 10 farming as fast as possible even in winter thats pretty much it, OTHER THAN THAT powdermelon is worth nothing unless u just started but if ur in second or third winter just stop growing it cause bad xp bad money and no recipes
Dehydrators are strictly worse than preserves jars
Because I know kegs take longer than preserves to churn
Only matters if you produce fruit faster than you can process it
And since crop space is a lot more limited than space for kegs, that's almost never the case
fruits kegs vegs perserves and shrooms dehydrating powder melon just throw it in the bin to sell not worth waiting for it
Greenhouse in the tiled perimeter around the crop area
Or on GI
Definitely not on the main farm
the reson I don't use iridium scythe most of the time
collected all crops and replanted them in 3 in game hours
why dont u use iridum scythe would it be faster
Scythe the whole field then replant on second loop is a lot faster
Because the harvest animation is slow as hell
yeah
I'm talking in game hours
Yes
I don't care about real life time
Time isn't frozen during harvest animation I'm pretty sure
Huh, surprised I never noticed that
Omfg I'm so excited to harvest from right to left as quick as it is from left to right
I didn't know i can plant there
you can see clock changing colors when harvesting crops
guys i got shoes called cinderclown shoes and HELL ITS ANNOYING it keeps ringing bells like its christmas ;-; does anyone know how to mute that sound?
You can transfer their stats to different shoes
Maybe you could tailor them? So you have the stats but a different look?
you can thank 1.6 for that change
how do i tailor them?
like keep stats but diff boots
The sewing machine
Tbh never used it so not quite sure how to use it, but I know it's a thing
hmmm okay then thanks
You can combine two shoes in the sewing machine, to chose the appearance of one with the stats of another
https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Footwear
Okay so I can plant trees on the border area around crop area?
Yes
ignore sprinklers, I am planning on fixing it once I have enough seeds to cover my junimo hut fields
It adds enhancements to weapons depending on the gem
Depends what you want to do, look up forging on the wiki
Different gems give different bonuses
And prismatic gives special enchantement
use anything
Tiles, not wood panels
around
My standard greenhouse layout
(Using deluxe retaining soil for the AF so it doesn't need sprinklers)
can i steal that layout? thanks
Oooh so I can plant on tiles
nice
Is it worth going to the night market after Y1?
I got the pearl, got the fish I wanted (minus the squid)
I will mainly be ancient fruiting it up
I go there to buy seeds for the upcoming year.
Also, there's unique paintings each year to buy.
I mean, you need the midnight squid for master angler anyway. Also it's better than regular squid for fish ponds if you want a source of squid ink
Oh I have the midnight one
I should've said the octopu
octopus*
not the midnight squid
There's a lot of "rare" decorative items available at the night market - stuff you can't get most of the year
Including the Lupini paintings, the cone hat, the iridium fireplace, etc.
Plus it has 3 bonus days of Travelling Merchant
In case you're on the lookout for something there
Yeah. Also I am suffering a wood shortage
I think I deforested every tree I am not tapping
you can also use garden pots - I have a few along the edges of the greenhouse with coffee, tea, and cactus
Should I remake my greenhouse into a starfruit greenhouse
I can probably make semi consistent profits
Relying on it
Just buy it
Money has no value 'til it's spent. Don't be afraid to do it.
guys where is leo? im trying to find him, it says on fridays 8pm he will be in his treehouse its 9:30 and he isnt here
V1.6 may have broken his schedule, it is allegedly fixed in 1.6.9
then where even is he
...Something occurred to me.
After viewing Abigail's spirit board scene, she becomes invisible until the following morning (because she's hiding from you in embarrassment). She can, however, still open doors and stuff (I went right back into Pierre's to deliver a thing and saw her door open by itself).
Maybe something similar actually happened to Leo
idk? im 0 hearts with leo rn
As in, he's still walking around and doing stuff but a scene caused him to be invisible (and maybe intangible or non-interactive?)
tryna give him something for his birthday
oh nvm it says on wiki he comes back home 8pm
and i see him rn
its 10pm tho
usually he sleeps 8-10
rn he is just outside
Maybe it's "8pm goes home", but since one of his favorite spot is near the golden parrot, it takes quite some time to come back home
But yes 1.6.9 makes the wiki schedule consistent with what happens ingame from what I have seen in my past runs
When you have more than 6 hearts with him and he is supposed to be in town, wiki is completely unreliable(if you are not playing 1.6.9)
What do I lose if I sleep in SC
1000g at most
same
SO might as well run the clock
I find it is nice to go to desert trader from times to times though. She has nice things that make next runs better.
Yeah it’s always better
As the later hours in the cavern are so much more valuable
True dat, I got a prismatic shard right before I passed out
The 1000g toll you pay is calculated by taking 10% of your wallet, capped at 1000g. Meaning if you spend as much as possible everyday and go in the mines or SC with a dry wallet, then wont even be able to take your money, since you are poor. If you spend a lot, once again, you gain more.
But yes in SC deep levels, it is clearly worth trying to grind for a few more things. If you are 1 tile away from your house or deep in SC, you pay the same bill.
Debating on going to ginger island or back to sc since I have another good luck day finally
Luck gives more holes/staircases. It should have a bigger impact in SC.
Yeah may as well use good luck days in the cavern
Unless you’re panning for lucky rings or want slightly better rare chest odds in the volcano luck doesn’t really affect it much
Yeah i might as well, i could actually put enchants on the rest of my tools and have artful on my galaxy hammer
I’m trying to achieve perfection, is there any way to check all the recipes I have left to craft?
Won’t show missing recipes tho
it displays the number of times you have crafted something. It's better than nothing
I think there is a website that analyzes your save that could help
Moss
yeah checkup does that
!checkup
Curious about your in-game achievement status? Tracking perfection? Stardew Checkup can help you find what you’re missing. BEWARE OF SPOILERS. https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-checkup/
what's the remind command again
@tough ridge
[[Special_Charm]]
[[The_Alleyway_Buffet]]
Based
Also I hate the stupid simon says puzzle
in ginger island
It's such a time waster
I usually waste an entire day failing until the game ends up having mercy on me and lowers the difficulty to my trash music sense level
Finally
smash
Should I have my greenhouse crops be starfruit only?
I like my greenhouse to have crop that renew themselves
Up to you. I do ancient fruit instead
So Ancien fruits are nice for that.
I was planning on both junimo hut crop areas be ancient fruit
but idk where to make my starfruit crop viable in the summer
That's gonna be interesting
u can record it on ur phone
I don't like this guy
My farm in the final days of Y2
Approximately how much % towards the next level does each skill book give?
That's not how they work.
They give a fixed number of experience points
250 EXP to that skill
Whatever percentage of that is 250, I guess
thats so cuteee im in year 6 and i only have like 25% of my farm decored
having 0% of ur farm decored is crazyy like no paths or anything? i could never bc i always want things to look cutesy
Yea
thank you for this information!
You will get there, I originally was super into just making money but I got tired so I decided a different way
JELLY?? WHYYYYYY
Why not?
Presumably not enough kegs yet
i also use the regular quality ancient fruit for jelly
xD
although they all produce the same anyway
Youre gonna get there
What year
Your gold hoe is ready While my wedding occurs. That is not a nice way to talk about Penny.
gang which one must i choose
1st is easy
i already have a crap ton of wheat
Let the gems flow
Anything but junimo kart...
i have done it
maybe not just with bread but with all the stuff i have in the fridge
LMAO
i have way too much egg and milk
Hm, yes, and it's an implement for moving soil. A gold digger, if you will.
Wait, the Ginger Island one?
(golden walnut related, i already got the starfruit from the sweetest taste)
There are multiple things I could call shrines there
i finished the 3 crop (melon, wheat, garlic) one
How many pedestals are you looking at?
It's the shrine with the gems related to birbs during rain. It's in the rainforest. If you look closely there is a hint on the ground in the top right of the forest, leading to a hidden path.
if it's the one with the bananas, try offering a banana... if it's the one with the 4 pedestals, it's a game of Mastermind but with gems
i genuinely have no idea
oh i havent gotten a banana sapling yet,,,
im 1 dragon tooth short
You should not spend dragon tooth to trade imo. They are too valuable. Spam golden coconuts, these you can have a huge amount
the birb said rainforest
oh shoot right
golden coconuts have a chance to have a banana sapling right?
ive gotten another mango
You can trade 10 regular coconut for 1 golden coconut
Desert is full of coconuts if you chop off trees
also you can shake GI palmtrees for coconuts(do no cut these ones)
you can buy coconuts from Sandy
Also Volcano runs can give you both golden coconuts and saplings
Another way is to get a fish pond with blue discus
they give both bananas(16%) and golden coconuts(5%)
Spend you dragon teeth if you want, but you need them for other things
thank for letting me know that bananas do have a chance to spawn in golden coconuts
worry not
i shall not spend those lol
i have a lot of coconut anyway
You can also get as many as three golden coconuts at once from digging artifact spots on GI
Hardly guaranteed, but certainly worth doing
[[Treasure_Totem]]
Yes these are pretty good on GI
Having the good enchantment on your hoe makes wonders
Generous I think it is
I have a link of a famous speedrunner doing it if you want.
The discord server rules do not allow me to paste it in this channel.
the fact Grandpa's theme was playing and his sleeping bonnet was here, the details
Heh. Hand on your shoulder.
that wasn't on purpose i swear.
Question what happened when you get all 5 mastery’s?
you get all masteries
and books aren't worth reading anymore
at least the ones that you have read before and exp books
there's still 4 i haven't collected yet
is amandine grandpa?
Or did Grandpa just sieze control of the cursor for it
Like the spirits making Abigail's spirit board planchette spell out her crush before she panics and throws it off the table
How long does it take to fully age starfruit wine in cellar
2 seasons
I think it's like over 800k for 125 iridium aged starfruit wine
For like 54 regular starfruit wine, it's like over 125k which is not bad
nearly
with artisan
Only place that sells it
Have you considered moving the greenhouse to make it closer of your house ? It is a bit in the way and far away
4 corners is a fine map, even in solo
I do love Four Corners
Honestly, 1.6 was an amazing update for maps
Meadowlands is a great new map
And it also made Riverland not complete garbage by adding the free smoker
What makes it good to you ? I really did not like it. The cave the water supply being so far away, and the coop felt like it slowed me down more than anything.
I like Forest, Hill-top, beach, 4 corners
It's large, it's very pretty, blue grass is genuinely a game changing benefit, and starting with a coop and chickens instead of parsnips is a very significant early gameplay change
Forest was previously prettiest map, but is now supplanted by Meadowlands
I have a mini obelisk near my house that leads to it
I think the Hilltop farm is the actual worst farm now
Riverland got buffed
And now there's a reason to play it
it might be
Hilltop was fun to me. I liked the challenge of multiple small surfaces.
Hilltop unfortunately is not very good in terms of usable space, its mini-quarry isn't particularly useful at any stage of the game, and the river running down the middle could be pretty, but is ruined by the fact that you will forever have sketchy plank gangways for crossing over it instead of actual bridges, right in the middle of your farm
Every farm with bridges on it needs a purchaseable upgrade from Robin to replace the planks with actual nice-looking bridges
I wish Robin had an apprentice so we could start multiple constructions at once.
Even if the apprentice takes more time to do it
I'd take the ability to queue constructions personally
But then again, time management is a core element of the game
one month form regular quality to gold, and then another month from gold to iridium
I think that would be a great addition to the game, but I also think that it would only work well if you paid when you added things to the queue
and maybe even several design options like in Animal Crossing or simply customizable
Casking wine is kind of disappointing in the end. I grudgingly used the ones that came with the cellar, because I didn't have the materials to do what I actually wanted with it (garden pots and more kegs)
I currently use the attic for crystalariums
I ate near the ladder and did not press leave the mine. I am so proud of myself. I am peaking.
Hey, just asking, is there any idea on when the 1.6 update may be ready for android?
Nov 4
Thx!
oops- Sorry-
Wtf is green rain?? My entire farm is covered in fiber
New rare summer weather
I can see, I'm on the 6th day of summer on my new playthrough and it soo odd, but it was sweet seeing Gorege giving his wife support
Happens once a year.
The first time, everyone has unique reactions because it kinda looks like a weird apocalypse.
Subsequent times, they just treat it as "that weirdish thing that happens sometimes"
better get some moss
Welp, powdermelons don't count as blue items for prismatic grange. I declare them officially useless.
I CANT WAIT FOR NOVEMBER 4TH
Why is gigafreak orang
Sole purpose is to make decorative giant powdermelons for your farm as far as I'm concerned
Depends on what other rings you have
What ring you pair specifically with burglars doesn't matter
It'll have the same effect if it's paired with any other one
My main goal with combat is to farm for resources
So maybe iridium band + slime charmer and lucky ring + burglar?
or maybe napalm plus burglar and iridium plus lucky?
What do you think @rich lake
Other Discord
I prefer napalm over slime charmer personally
I'd probably go iridium + immunity + burglar + hot java, personally. Immunity could be swapped out for something else but I like being immune to debuffs and you can achieve that with Mermaid Boots + Immunity Band.
(The thrilling sequel)
Time to sell 123 of it
God I hate the coloured wine bottles sometimes lol
took me quite a few tries, but today I managed!! Whoo!! With the aid of very happy spirits, a ||+luck blessing||, and a lucky lunch... got shafted nicely 😉
must say, I especially like the whole "pleased you were honourable and didn't cheat by crafting staircases"... 😂
congrats!!!!!
He gives you some wiggle room! I think the limit was 10 staircases until he changes to the "aww, you cheesed it" dialogue.
He still gives you the reward, though, since it still takes some doing to get a lot of staircases (collect a large quantity of stone, or spend lots of money to buy stone, or build a several crystalariums to churn out a zillion jades to exchange for stairs...)
When does it stop mattering as much for good or bad luck days for mining in places like SC or volcano?
I do have the desert obelisk so I might not have to care about SC diving as much
It always matters. Base ladder chance is 2%; max luck increases this by 2% (i.e. doubles it), and worst luck decreases it by 2% (i.e. you don't have a base chance to spawn a ladder anymore, only buff luck and the "number of rocks left" chance remains). Special Charm increases this by 0.5%
Okay so still mainly mine on good luck days
Indeed. If there are 100 stones on a floor, you'd start with 1% chance to find the exit if you have the worst daily luck and no buffs nor special charm; on a max luck day and the same conditions, you'd start with a 5% chance to find the exit.
That's an extreme case, but even if we add a point of luck from a Spicy Eel, the difference is still 2% vs 6%.
The higher your luck is, the more likely you are to find an exit with your first bomb, and the faster you move through.
high luck also means a higher chance to get a shaft instead of stairs, which can really speed up the descent - especially if you get a 10+ fall
That’s not true, the chance for shafts to replace a ladder is always the same
The chance for ladders in general is affected by daily and buff luck
https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/luck-what-it-does-and-doesnt-affect.11802/
this forum post says the following:
"But each staircase has a 20% chance to be a shaft instead. Baseline that's only a .5% chance to be one, meaning you'll see one on average for every 130ish rocks you break. With 7 luck in your pocket, you're instead looking at getting them 2.2% of the time, which means on average you find them for every 34 rocks you break."
Yeah that’s saying that in relation to each stone you break
Not to each ladder you get
It even says “each staircase has a 20% chance to be a shaft instead”
i agree with the above statements
I realize as much as I originally lament the desert fest appearing on the same time as salmonberry days, I realize for me that I don't even need energy anymore. I just need buffs/healing for me
As all my tools have efficient as the stats except watering can
All of them, both sides included
So which combo do you guys think is best for making the desert festival meal
I imagine anything that involves speed or luck
Rare fruit and uncomfortably hot sauce
Luck + Fishing, clearly
It gives exactly what you mentioned
the +3 luck +1 speed is so funny
alright, 15 more shipping
i still have a long way to go
but im almost halfway done (perfection, that is)
You died and lost it?
getting autopetters is so hard for me
joja.
Dangerous mines, dropped by barrels (2%) and enemies (0.2%)
Easier than skull cavern treasure hunting ^^
And now you can also get them from golden mystery boxes
unforch
Oh no
😔 i reset the day since i would be passing out in harvey's clinic anyway so i got an autograbber on my reset day
yippee
you know what this is fine
Yeah, still a good item, just not as good
im aware 😔
GOTTEM
people said they used qi seasoning or enchantments
i used the meal the chef cooked for me in desert festival
went home and ate dish o the sea
AND GOTTEM
new method unlocked
and i didnt even need to max out because i have lvl16 fishing
or you could clip OOB
IM GOING TO RESET THE DAY FOR THIS
ISTG
HOLD ON
HERE IT'S REAL @pure nymph
choose the shrimp then eat any dish that adds to the fishing level
level 16 fishing is possible without qi or enchantments
Strongly disagree. Staircase spam with MRC + (seasoned) ginger ale and lucky rings is the way to go
the chance isnt just 2%, you also have to roll a special item from the barrel
then the chance of that special item being an autopetter is 2%
I'm not one for spamming staircases, I get burnout in like 5 seconds, I really feel it's easier to fight monsters and break barrels (at least less boring for me)
well there's boring and then there's effective
Got 4 autopetters yesterday from around 300 staircases
None
Was above average
I've got quite a lot to collect still
I want about 50 in total
I have 6
yeah its like way above average no?
max treasure room chance is like 1/7 or something which is average 40 treasure rooms from 300 stairs
i dont know the new chances for autopetters in 1.6 but i know the chance decreased from 1/26 so i would say 4 is a great outcome
I'm backported to 1.5 for now while I gather iridium seaweed for my aquariums
So I have slightly better odds at the moment
But yeah, this was a hot streak
I've probably used something like 1200-1500 stairs all up, and gotten 6 autopetters across them, but most of those weren't done with max luck
is it worth it to have a shed full of dehydrators, i was thinking about using them for blueberries or grapes 🤔
so i am doing my first jojo run and was wondering if i should do both the cc and then the jojo way or is it just doing it one way?
and if it is possible to get to the desert before the first desert festival?
the Joja route is a one way route, you can't change back after you bought the membership
Yes
I had 2 strange behaviors with the current beta build. My mine cart does not work anymore. When talking to Demetrius after a fishing quest, I had to give him one of the fish while quest states I get to keep the fish.
how would one be able to get to the desert festival before the desert festival?
unlock the bus with money through joja ? Even with cc it's money only
But still a lot of money
how much??
65k I would say
would you keep the parshnip seeds or go potatoes?
Dehydrator makes your stuff gold quality + small bonus + aritsan bonus. It does not match the money gained with jars or kegs, but it is fast and deals with a lot of crops at once. I usually do not get more than 10 dehydrator(this is end game). 5 is nice to me. I find it is good for shrooms, but if they are iridium I do not bother using the dehydrator and sell them raw.
Potatoes are great. Not sure it is worth selling the parsnip seeds though.
It's 40k for the desert, also for the joja route, you can wait on buying the membership. Check the bundles rewards and get what you'd like by completing them, just don't finish the whole thing
thank you!
for vanilla stuff only, I'd have about 6-8 dehydrators. one for the mushroom cave, and the rest for dealing with my salmonberries/blueberries/blackberries
You can sorta do both - if you buy the Joja membership on the same day that you complete the last bundle, you'll end up in a position where the 6 stars for completing the community centre are filled in, in the Joja Warehouse
But mechanically, it will count as doing the Joja route
So no missing bundle, community centre is replaced with Joja Warehouse/Movie Theatre, Joja stays in business, Pierre stays closed on Wednesdays, Clint stays open on Fridays, etc.
just got a crop fairy on day one
strange, when i interracted with the statue of blessings, some of the butterflies changed shapes for whatever reason
Did you get prismatic butterfly blessing ?
it's that one yes
it flickers between white and light-blue for some reason
i got the blessing again later and the same thing happened. it's clearly a different sprite
It's interesting that gathering clams found in crab traps are at most silver quality, while when they are found on the beach, with botanist, you get iridium quality.
That means you have a prismatic butterfly somewhere that will give you money if you click it, gotta find it before 5pm though
rip
no wonder i never find it, it's timed
wdym lol, i already did cc so joja is gone
ohss okays
it's also in chests in the Skull Cavern, but it's also a low chance
Yeah that's what they were saying
Will stardew continue getting updates or is 1.6 final
I don't think we know yet
Blueberries yes
I would absolutely not use them on Salmonberries or Blackberries
Salmonberries are more valuable as energy than as money. One packet of Dried Salmonberries is worth less energy than the five Salmonberries it's made from.
Blackberries are available in the Fall. Bear's Knowledge becomes available soon after that, at which point dehydrating Blackberries is just throwing large amounts of money directly into the trash
and you can't keep the quality through the dehydrator, so no
I do like using them as energy provider. Once I am done with the mines, I do not really need energy in it anymore, since I only go there for coal/copper/iron, where the monsters are not a threat. I also have better energy stuff like carrot, summer squash, sashimi. SC becomes my gold provider. I end up using salmonberries and blackberries as gifts. Demetrius, Robin, Jody, Shane, Leah, Pam, Linus like salmonberries. Same people like blackberries with the addition of Harvey and Elliott.
Processing everything you have when it is not worth it has fooled me many times in my early 1.6 runs. I used to smoke snails. Yup it was dumb.
Dehydrator makes your stuff gold quality + small bonus(and artisan bonus). It remains very weak on cheap stuff.
It’s equally strong on weak as strong stuff
In fact it’s generally better on weaker stuff because they have proportionally higher profit margins vs their cost
If you do not consider your processor time as ressource, that is true
Sure, but it processes instantly overnight and the machine is very cheap
Just 15 of them is going through 75 crops a day
Your farmer time to put the stuff inside and gather and sell is also a resource. I do not have 15 dehydrators either because it does not suit my production. It is not worth it for me to process cheap stuff since I do not have infinite time nor processing machines.
Ok sure but 15 machines is basically not a time cost at all
You can have those by your bed and fill them in a matter of 10 minutes in game
All I’m saying is that crops like blueberry will make more cash than their counterpart if you are processing them
You’re also not processing 10500 crops a week?
Oh yes blueberries are worth dehydrating, I agree.
That’s pretty much the epitome of low value crop
It's not worth using the dehydrator for ancient fruit right?
if you have 100 ancient fruits waiting in your chests and have not enough keg/jar to process, it is
The original question was about a shed of dehydrators, I think
I wouldn't do that because I wouldn't need to do that (dehydrators processing so many items in so little time, means a shed is overkill)
One shed of dehydrators can process as many items as ten to fifteen sheds of preserves jars.
If you told people you have that many sheds of preserves jars, they'd look at you funny
Putting them in a room of the farmhouse would be easy. It would all even fit.
dehydrators
Fair
I have a shed for preserves a shed for kegs
Idk what to use my next shed for that's different
I could do more kegs but honestly I don't need it
Crystalarium sheds are a great investment
I always wanted one
why?
I enter the cc it crashes. I am day 1 of y2.
This is my second unfinishable run. I wonder If I should give up on 1.6.9. I submit bugs but I have no idea if they are read.
hey everyone
Okay so I just fully expanded my house, how do I organize based it on the five skills of the farmer
I got my room for mining stuff, and I just need my fishing, foraging, farming, and maybe combat room? Idk
Cool idea
Can you harvest any crop on GI?
Or only summer crops along with GI crops?
I mean, plant and harvest
Any crop in the game, it's a giant greenhouse
Otherwise the garlic quest for the gourmand frog wouldn't work
ANY CROP? well then, GI is free real estate for me
thanks for letting me know (i had to look up for all the crops)
i have blueberries, pineapples, and taro root in GI
also sunflowers
though i have 200+ in stock
that i can easily gave to my wife haley and make oil with
Lately, GI actually got even better by an update to Garden Pots...
Bee Houses used to ignore flowers in Garden Pots. Now, they don't.
GI can grow Fairy Roses year round. Most of the farm map isn't actually soil.
Sooooo garden potted Fairy Roses for honey
Grow your cash crops in the soil and set up bee house networks on the not-soil.
I should've used seedmakers for my fairy rose instead of make fairy dust with it 🥲
dumb move
but oh well!
this delays my money making for one season
my income would be from my mystic syrup turned fairy dust from racoon wife converted to iridium ancient wine
then i'll save all the ancient wine to scam pierre /silly
not ship them
for now I'll grow a blue jazz
in GI
I want to get iridium quality wine but I can’t be bothered getting the casks for it 😭
it's included in the final farmhouse upgrade XD
Yeah ik but I have 200+ kegs compared to 33 casks
OH 😭 i actually feel this,, i have lesser kegs but i have more regular wine saved than iridium made
i only have 4 mystic trees so far
i'm planting more in my farm soon
I wanna get more mystic trees but I don’t feel like grinding mahogany seeds for it
mahogany seeds are found almost daily in the secret woods
and GI
i get mine from there
I don’t get very lucky with the stumps in the secret woods unfortunately
So GI is my only source of mahogany
honestly regretted not getting more mahogany seeds in secret woods and GI then until i found out abt mystic syrup 🥲
so much to learn about the game
I guess I’ll save my mahogany seeds next file I guess
I'm not getting into my next file until I achieve perfection in my first one unfortunately 😞
I actually almost it last night cause I don't know where I put my watering can 😭
I went back and forth with going to calico desert and GI looking at every chest I had
Turns out I misplaced it in one of my large chests 💀
Me neither
I don't think I ever got the tea sapling recipe from Caroline and I am full hearts with her
Visit her tea garden (back room of the kitchen in Pierre's)
She mails you the blueprint on the following day
Well, I suppose it was probably mailed that evening. It arrives on the following day
i posted this here because the little bobber machine in the second photo but huh? how do i get answered even though, yk
how am i getting received?
his spirit
self-service, probably
what trinkets do yall use when going into the skull cavern
Normally the ice rod
magic quiver?
You need a maximum of 189 casks if you want to go insanely hardmode cask maxxing
but you only need 125
that is the max for easy cask access
(on PC)
189? do you just fill every tile in the cellar with casks?
yeah ik, im just asking if the magic quiver is good too since i got one
if it's the only one you got, then sure
there's better options though
Yeah it's also pretty helpful, I would say they are 2 best ones but it depends on your playstyle (like most things in the game)
and trinkets aren't too hard to get
somemight say they are too easy
damn smoker helps so much
is that smoked crimsonfish?
I would hope it's the son of crimsonfish
yeah...
Yeah i realize I never visited her tea garden in my current save lol
I should probably make a room just for fishing and smokers
Yes but that's for insanemode
125 is fine for PC players
118 if you play mobile apparently though
Yes when the time comes to harvest you just hoe the casks
huh that might actually be worth the effort
125 to 189 is a lot
that's basically 128 more AF wine a year
What’s insane mode? Is that just a mod that lets you walk through casks?
No just that you need to individually hit every cask with a tool
meticulously as you can't reach them all by just just right clicking
Well, not necessarily individually
A hoe with Reaching can probably hit 25 at once
Wonder what the G/year comes out to, comparing 189 casks aging Starfruit Wine vs whatever the new triple-packed Garden Pot and Keg layout would be, with Pineapples
Best trinkets to use??
depends on your play style, I like ice rod
i prefer ice rod too
I like the basilisk paw
yeah it's pretty nice with dragonscale boots
Me too
i believe garden pots come out on top
coz it ends up as like 3-4x the g/d
I mean literally anything can come on top of casks. That’s not the point tho, you can place most machines anywhere else in the world and casks only in one spot so you may as well keep the basement as casks and just have the machines elsewhere
You should only consider swapping soemthing for another thing that can go elsewhere if you run out of space or run out of time
