I got my ocean jellies on Day 2 while fishing like mad to try getting the fiberglass pole ahead of the guaranteed rain on day 3...

There's a way to game the system. If you cast the Training Rod from the beach in summer, or into the ocean from Ginger Island at any time, you cannot hook any fish (they're above its difficulty limit), so you can only hook trash or Ocean Jelly

However!

Apparently it uses a seeded RNG to determine if the next thing you hook will be the Jelly, and hooking trash will not advance the seed

So you have to do something stupid:
Cast the training rod, see if you get jelly or trash. If it's trash, switch to a real rod and catch an actual fish, then try the training rod again

Moss goes away in winter. I would suggest using a scythe to collect it unless you want to chop the trees down for wood, since only older trees can grow moss

Planted a long time ago. Fully grown is “stage 5”, and for the purposes of moss growth, the tree needs to be “stage 14” aka it has to be fully grown for a while

theres four files in your farm folder

after two of those is a "_old" iirc

so u cut and paste the non old ones somewhere else in case it goes wrong
