Quality fertilizers work on one item per harvest (which is fine if it only generates one item at a time but can be an issue for multi-item harvests such as Blueberry)
Retaining Soil keeps working for as long as it's in the ground

Dehydrators serve as a very useful steppingstone for the phase of the game where "I have a zillion Blueberries but can't process anything because I don't have jars/kegs"

And, well, dehydrators work about 10-15x faster than jars

That 300 starfruit I mentioned earlier... I don't have anywhere near enough kegs or jars. So I'm going to have to dehydrate most of them

If I wanted a coop I would need to chop down fruit trees or tear up crops, and even then there wouldn’t be much space for grazing

The spaces that would have worked best for a coop or barn are already full of other stuff I need
