Both times, there was a frenzy in the afternoon. The scout run, it was Largemouth Bass. The real run, it was Perch (but I was waist-deep mashing dust sprites for the burglar ring)

but from what I can understand what happens is that everytime a fish bubble spawns it does two attempts at a 1% chance (0.8% for beach) to convert into a fish frenzy

IMO Basilisk Paw. No annoying debuffs, and you can safely wear Dragonscale boots (highest defense, but no Immunity)

well, blue squid can -20 attack, shadow shamans can -8 defense, shadow archers can do darkness, putrid ghosts do that AWFUL "can't eat food" debuff, skeleton mages can do -8 speed, the later volcano flames and do a combined -attack/defense/speed, and I just like to not deal with any of it

slimes are resolved by simply using the slime charmer ring, so I don't think about their slime debuff
