i think generally dehydrated fruit does sell for less than if you were to use a keg/preserves jar. but at least imo the tradeoff comes in the fact its always ready the next day

and they dont take up nearly as much space since you need 5 fruit/shroom per machine

but if you dont mind waiting and the space i believe kegs and preserves jars are most of the time more profittable

dehydraters are great for fruits you have an abundance of like cranberries or blueberries

depends on you. I've done both and both will turn a tidy profit, ancient fruit takes longer to get going, but then you never buy seeds again. however you must harvest every week. starfruit requires you to buy seeds each harvest but every two weeks
