Cave is easiest, just stack as many luck buffs as possible, do short casts on floor 100 of Mines.

Outside of the Mines, Jelly drops work weird. The catch RNG is seeded, and only progresses when you catch actual fish or jellies. But trash doesn't progress it.

So Ocean is trickier. Same luck buffs, but now you want to use a training rod either on GI south, or Beach during Summer. If your Jelly RNG is good, you'll only get Seaweed or Jelly. If your RNG is bad, you'll only get Seaweed or Trash. So you use training rod until you get trash, then you switch to a regular rod and catch a fish to progress the RNG, and switch back.

River is weirdest strategy, but also very fast. Best strategy is basically to go to the bottom of the desert for the lower desert pond. Because of an oversight, the top edge of that pond sounds as part of the top pond, letting you catch fish there, while the bottom has no fish or algae. So you cast into the middle of the bottom pond and get guaranteed jelly (or 10% pyramid decal) while the Jelly RNG is good, and if it goes bad and you get trash, you fish on the top edge instead and get a sandfish or something to refresh the Jelly RNG then swap back to the middle.

my expreince (therefore completely anecdotal): legend is the hardest for me to catch each time, glacierfish is about 50% success rate, crimsonfish 70% success rate, angler and scorpionfish are almost always (90-100% depending on the save)

There are some quirks involved, because the Legend moves so fast that when determining where to move to, it literally ends up outside the bounds of the minigame a sizeable portion of the time. The way that the game resolves this is by basically bouncing it off the bottom.

So like... say the Legend is currently at Y=50, on a scale of 0 to 100. It then rolls a new movement of 90 down. Well, 90 down from 50 is -40, then the game takes the absolute value and instead ends up at +40. So instead of moving 90 down (what it rolled), it only moves 10 down. This is what results in the surprisingly common "sleeper Legend" patterns that experienced fishers tend to report.

Buy truckloads of wheat seeds (10G each) and plant them to keg them. I think you can get away with having only half as many kegs as wheat, since beer brews faster than wheat grows

This isn't great but has a fast turnaround so you might be able to transition to DSG+ Starfruit relatively soon
