Processing is nice if you have a large amount of low quality or cheap price crops because as long as you have the equipment it can run mostly in the background minus the time it takes to load the machines and remove the finished products.

100g is a bit low if you consider the cost of buying coal. 100g for 10 wood y1, 150g for coal y1, 250g for coal y2.
200g is a good minimum.

Jars are better early game period, as they are much easier to craft than kegs

Dehydrators are purely speed.
They process 5 fruit/mushrooms (not vegetables) in 1 day.
They give (7.5 x fruit/mushroom value) + 25. Which, since it takes 5 fruit per use, is effectively multiplying the value of your 5 fruit by (1.5 x fruit value) + 5

Fish smokers cost 1 coal to use, so it's not worth it unless your fish is worth more than the coal (but smoked fish also benefits from artisan +40% and fisher/angler buff to fish value)

Kegs and jars are pretty much the same as they've been before.
Anything worth 50 or less goes in a jar. and takes 2-3 days to process.
Any fruit worth more than 50 can be put in a keg, but it takes 7 days to process.
Vegetables don't benefit as much from kegs as fruit do (2.25x vegetable value vs 3x fruit value) but they process in 4 days instead of 7.

mining is also good, you can get a daily blessing that makes you immune to bombs

once you repair the bus you can access a 3 day long festival in the desert with a unique currency, challenges, and items to obtain!

it’s basically impossible in year 1, but when you go i suggest bringing your weapon, pickaxe, fishing rod, and food!

so as you complete some quests you'll eventually gain access to the vault area, where it uses money to complete and the reward is fixing the broken bus that's laying in the road between your house and the town
