And Zoidberg Krobus!
winter outfits, but I think they apply for most NPCs
Krobus is a spouse in my heart
we love krobus
Is it possible to get a multiple if you divorce?
... right, no embeds
Yes you can remarry if you divorce someone
bros gonna speedrun divorce
Someone just earlier showed their partial collection
oh that, I haven't seen that
In other news: I'm too lazy to set up a sturgeon fishpond for caviar, so I will instead fish all day and hope that I get a treasure chest with sturgeon roe in it. This will surely work and does not require an extreme amount of luck
surely
oh that's so nice now
i had to go through the trouble of getting a fish pond just for caviar
in 1.5
How come a lot of people are saying the rare seed was taken away from the traveling merchant cart
it still exists now lol
Up here. And they mention marrying/14hearting/divorcing them each in turn, right after
I had to get one cause I got the fish farmer bundle in my community center. I filled it with flounders tho
the ancient fruit seed was, recently
it wasn't meant to be there i thimk
I already got 2 rare seeds from her on this new save
rare seeds are meant to be from her
yeah ancient seed, not rare seed
ah
Ok!
If someone still thinks the rare seed was removed, maybe they're just checking in fall/winter
She only sells them in spring/summer
huh
really? i got some in fall though i think
i actually just got the ancient seed there because i ran stardew offline and didn't get the chance to update to 1.6.3 yet haha
Didn't know that
Her first visit in the fall is too late to plant it.
During any season, there is also a 1.26% chance that the merchant will be selling 1-5 Rare Seeds for 600–1,000g each.
She switches to Coffee Beans in the fall and winter IIRC
oh no, yes turns out it's guaranteed spring summer
According to the stardew wiki
I've tried that for three days, then just dropped a prismatic shard into that bundle and was done with it 😛
oh ok so it can also sell in fall/winter, just less?
For the purposes of someone thinking they were removed from her inventory because they checked in fall/winter, this is close enough
Because it's down from 100% in spring/summer
yeah I ususally use a prismatic shard as well, it's the wine that I ususally skip
Get the Jewels of the Sea book
Catch Sturgeons
Get roe from a treasure chest
Ah yeah. I usually get wine fast and start aging one as soon as I get a cellar, just because I know that bundle is coming up.
How do fish ponds work?
not sure about this playthrough tho, I never got the community center done so early so I really don't feel prepared for a lot of the stuff after it yet lol
Specifically for sturgeons
Build pond, drop in sturgeon(s), gift them whatever they ask for...
And at some point they'll start producting roe (and perhaps some other items? can't remember). You can collect that and put it in jar to make caviar.
You put one kind of fish in it, they sometimes produce roe (or other stuff), with better chances and better items the more fish you get, but they'll also ask for stuff soemtimes so the capacity of fish can increase
This is always on a fish-to-fish basis
If you got 10 flounders and want to turn the pond into a sturgeon pond, you gotta redo the whole process for sturgeons now
Are fish ponds even worth getting?
ngl I was hoping that fish ponds would get a slight rework with 1.6 but alas
The roe book might actually reduce their importance
But some of them can now produce the fishing jellies if you wanted those
A few fish can make you good money, and the ones that are less good will also not cost much in terms of what items they request. So, technically yes its worth it cause it's almost free money, but it's so slow that you might be better off just using the space for more crops or a coop or a barn
Define 'worth'. I like their 'decorative' purpose at times, but they won't make you rich.
Some of them produce handy items that can be difficult to get otherwise, but... Usually not at a great pace
You can also breed Lava Eels I guess
If you have some space that you can't fit a coop or barn into and that also can't grow crops then getting one might be worth it, but aside from that I wouldn't bother with them
For what little it's worth, I believe they are also valid water sources for the watering can. So you can have a pond instead of a well.
I think more fish should produce interesting items. Like, imagine if some river or lake fish had a chance to produce a truffle, which could save you the process of getting a pig
For example in the Meadowlands farm, where the nearest water source is a bit of a hike away. Might honestly be better off just filling it in an upgraded house's kitched sink
I'd ask where they got it, but I guess they can already produce weirder things
Yeah lol. Maybe they ate one and just barfed it up again
Why they gotta make a winter crop and make it hard to get like
I mean it's about as hard to get as all the other new crops
Sounds pointless though
can you not put it in a seedmaker?
omg its finally my turn
Yes, and you can buy it for 2 acorns (acorns aren't hard to get)...
apparently powdermelon has a noticeably higher xp gain than most crops
Yay!
TIL that apparently you can open geodes at clint’s while he’s upgrading a tool now?
Won't ya get max farming skills at that point and the other crops r pretty much more efficient
what other crops
what crop are you planting in place of melon on your farm during winter
Other seasons 🙏
also max farming doesn't stop you from getting mastery xp
i want that so bad
It gives 12, which isn't that much
EXP is based on normal-quality, unmodified sell price
I forgot to turn my junimo hut off so no giant crops for me this season oops
ugh dehydrator needing 5 of the same quality's kinda annoying
doing raccoon quests and i keep having to harvest extra
I got my first giant crop this year after 400 hours and I was so proud I* made it my discord picture
congrats
I wanna eat powdermelon so bad. It looks like something I imagined as a child.
e.e one of those black trash clumps from fishing just blew into my yard in real life
e_e idk if this counts as spoilers.... I'm scared
put it in the recycling
o_o That's not the issue!

That is the true purpose of powdermelon
can you get SoTP solely from Fizz's perfection waivers?
holy shit you're cropmaster now
1.6 added that "informative tracker notification," I saw it a few times when I started my new farm but I haven't seen it lately? Is it possibly a mod conflict or something, or did I disable it somehow?
the little thing that shows progress with quests from the board
That’s so cute lol
LEAH COME BACK
Grats on ur pumpkin
She did a whole lap around the house to come back in bounds and stand at a dresser

Oh she's done w you
guys i have 2 masteries saved up and already got the farming one, which other 2 do i get?
Respectfully, what the fuck
Leah saw that crop fairy breaking it's code and decided to dip😭🤣
Just went for an outdoors jog I guess
out of reality jog
I'd do fishing/foraging and mining
But that's just me. idk what other's like/want
yeah i already chose sorry, but i did farming --> fishing --> combat
Combat seems liek a least priority item imo, foraging seems better to get early on with gold mystery boxes? and fishing is great imo, I love fishing.
And then I'm ALWAYS in need of a way to smelt more ores
That's fine! Its your choice, and mastery exp doesn't seem too hard to fill out c:
i got 3 masteries from the field of rhubarbs i planted in 1.5 LMAO
I got combat second for trinkets since it made gold farming fun
Think I’d go farming->combat->mining->foraging->fishing for my playstyle
gold farming? like money gold, or gold for gold bars?
Money
Fair
Level 4 parrot made me a lot
I wish it were easier to track how much the parrot has paid out
250-2000g per mob every other mob was busted especially in huge groups
is sea jelly used for anything important other than just for a boost? i got it on my second day and dont wanna use it if i shouldnt
is grinding infested floors with parrot a decent option?
yes
Only time I used fairy was for Qi hungry challenge other than that I always had parrot on
also, nice luck! sea jelly is one of the rarer/harder to get jellies imo
did you reply to the right question here?

Yes
My answer meaning I always used it
Especially on infested
Some people like basilisk paw for infested though instead of the slime ring
can magic quiver crit?
I'm looking at installing a mod for a 4th backpot row tbh
I'm noticing how "loaded up" i feel
Yeah, they give useful items from time to time
And lava eel ponds are super profitable
I kinda wish that tools and weapons maybe had their own dedicated slots? like clothing, boots, and rings
You can put lava eel roe into preserve jars to make aged lava eel roe and it sells for 1k
is there a new artifact? i have something grey on my collections tab i don’t think i had before
Not gonna lie I really thought it was gonna be a thing added this update
No new artifacts. Probably mod
if you don't care about some of the rarer lava eel pond items, you can also pull a lava eel out every 5 days to keep the population at 9 and smoke it for 2k
how to get joja cola from the soda machine? i placed it and cant interact with it
I kinda wish the Green Rain was something more impactful in the story. Year 1 it feels spooky, and like a mystery hook, but then nothing it goes nowhere and from the next year onwards no one in the town cares about it.
Wait next day
It produces per day after the first night you have it
i see
?
are iron fences worth?
There may be things we don’t know about it still
their dialogue changes from year to year, no?
o.0 fishing in summer in the forest during the day, somehow every single fish is a pike
Year 1 everyone is afraid of it. All other years, when the Green Rain comes, they just say stuff like "Oh, the green rain is back"
cause they learned that it's not dangerous?
My point is that this is uninteresting
Year 1 feels like it's setting up a big mystery, and then nothing happens
Especially because it supposedly never happened before your first year in the Valley
ye, the point was to give a new tree and a random weather event for moss farming
So why did it start? Why is it yearly? No one, not even the science, nature or magic oriented NPCs seem to want to figure that out
DAMN these gold treasures
People will always find something to complain about
Nice cracker
Statue from ginger island
yeah ik im fishing here xd
you kinda want those rare objects
am I stupid or did I miss the update list. is yhat a pepper in a sack? so cool
Squash
which one, the yellow thing on a sack? its squash
They're super useful, spicy eel gives both a luck and speed buff
and magma geode is magma geode
I probably have a 999 stack of magma geodes from lava eels alone
There are different kinds irl that vary from each other
do the trees outside the farm grow in winter?
squash looks like a banana and a cucumber had a baby together, but they murdered a pumpkin and used it as a surrogate womb
Trees don’t grow without fertilizer in winter
spicy eel chance stays the same at 9 pop.
As for magma geodes, you do lose the chances a lot, but if you just want money, the odd magma geode wasn't what was going to bring you over the top.
You might as well jsut go with crystalariums or AF or something
I mean the ones outside the farm
that grow by themselves
I know
e.e bananas and cucumbers need to be kept separate
True
Someone told me those trees outside of the farm grow even slower. Idk by how much
If you're desperate for money I guess you could smoke some lava eels and sell them
When sudden conciousness hits you
You might as well just go to the mines at that point to try & get iridium instead
Iridium has way more uses than a simple lava eel tho
There's a new veggie for each season that you can only find in dig spots and the come in bags
I’m talking about iridium quality eel
iridium is worth stupid amounts of money for how "easy" it is to get (if you're well versed in SC diving)
oh eels lol
Still, catching iridium lava eels is hard asf
The new rod makes it a lot easier
Just trying to get one in general is hard
It can be with the right setup
I did void salmon farming instead though
Yeah, but once you get just one you can start your farm right away
Yup
How much is void salmon worth?
Me with 160k after fishing lava eels and smoking them with challenge bait
[[Void_Salmon]]
Ty
im going to get 3 deluxe barns full of pigs, is it worth spending 10k gold to get shepherd profession so i can befriend them faster and then switch back to artisan?
That's a rude way to dismiss completely mild criticism. It was an opinion about a small part of the update that I wanted to share and see what others thought, maybe start a conversation about what it could have been. There are plenty of things I love about the game and this update, but they are topics that have been already discussed a lot.
Profession switching is worthwhile imo if you can hold out on selling artisan stuff for 1 or 2 seasons
I thought they meant the NPCs complaining
You could since you could just oil make the truffles later on
And winter/rainy days are downtime to catch up
i dont rally like oil maker's, they cost a lot, and with botanist ill have iridium truffles anyway
I'd rather just sell the trufflesstraight up at iridiium quality instead of processing them
yeah exactly
Same
Then why even switch to artisan? Unless pigs aren’t your main income
i usually have my income split in multiple sources
i have ancient fruit wine production
Ah makes sense
Diversifying your portfolio is the #1 tip for newbie investors
if i befriend the pigs with shepherd i dont really need it anymore, its just for faster hearts
Starfruit is great initially, but the cost for upkeep (rebuying seeds or seedmakering the product and replanting) usually has it lose out against AF after a season or two
Seed makering star fruit is never a good idea but people keep somehow convincing themselves it is
Don’t seedmaker starfruit please
Idk how 🥲
Yoba help their souls
Sometimes you don't want to help the coorporations mannnn
Sandy needs the $ :/
I wish you could leave crops and not harvest them, letting them go to seed instead
hm
I was doing both of those in my greenhouse.
. Them and that other rare one that you get the seeds from the trader (I forget the name Jewel?)
As far as I know you can only sell them .. as far as I know you still can't put it in the keg or anything
and it be a worthwhile amount of seed.
but that's be a bit busted
[[Starfruit]]
If you need to use farm computer for a personal command can type /wiki instead btw
Sweet gem berry cannot be placed in a keg, correct
For the time loss of allowing crops to go to seed the average amount of seed gained could theoretically be fairly balanced based on crop value and grow time but that sounds like a lot more math compared to just an unbalanced mod for funsies.
true
Or just building a lot of seedmakers and eating the cost that way
Let's see, Starfruit Wine with Artisan is 3150G, minus 400G seed cost, with a 9-day growth time bottleneck. 305.56 gold per day per tile, assuming you already have DSG up.
Ancient Fruit wine, if already fully grown, is 330G per day
Hops and Pale Ale actually beat Ancient Fruit but with 7× as much effort and twice as many kegs
Sad but true
Hops OP, but also, hop A LOT OF WORK
great in multiplayer though!
bahahaha I love your name
I wish it could, the processing time would be astronomical which is what I want from kegs.
You can have trellis crops all next to each other for junimo harvesting or are they not able to traverse through them?
Bro this dwarf sword not willing to get +4 speed via dragontooth is killing me
Thanks, yours is also suuuuuuuperrrr~
The ancient fruit and star fruit I tend to throw the non starred ones in the kegs and the starred ones I throw in the seed maker as it seems like they get more seeds
How many weapons are you enchanting chip 🥲
Would like -5 weight on it too
Don’t put starfruit in seed maker it ain’t worth it
what are those oak tree sprites?
junimos can harvest trellis crops planted all next to each other
so worth
My weapon collection that consists of weapon builds I'm satisfied with. Unfortunate 1.6 messed up alot of my weapons
esp with raisins
Wild trees. If they were normal before they turn back in spring
ah fuck
Now I need to redo some of them again
junimos with raisins on hops is probably stupid good
I forgot about junimos when doing calculations earlier
Alot...
Every weapon.
Oh gosh
Even carving knife
I do that until I can buy them (as some playthrough I didn't unlock the other areas yet)
I would do scythe but nope
but its not a green rain event, and i planted those myself aas oak trees
@tough remnant AF vs mystic mushrooms is inaccurate, we didn't account for raisin juminos
Junimos need to be outside
junimos lower the income per tile though cause their huts are pretty big
I was comparing to GI
When did they change
Also ancient fruit outside the farm is a bad idea
and you need access to them
No junimo huts on GI
just this day, first day of fall, Y1
Why
U can put junimo huts on gi?
Can last for 3 seasons and die off in winter
Idk maybe small chance when season changes?
I literally just said no junimo huts on GI
Also they take time to setup
I had multiple maple trees turn into the mossy trees during fall
Ah thats what u meant
It is not a good idea to put ancient fruit outside ginger island or greenhouse since they wilt and also take time to setup
do GI weeds grow over flooring?
Maybe you meant to word this differently???
It's not a good idea...to use a bad idea.
Yeah
anyway to stop it?
oh right...meant to say outside greenhouse and ginger island
Not that I know of other than gold clock
Damn I'm tired...
yea, the farm is reserved for coffee in spring and summer, with fall having grapes for my junimos
Eh, it's better than literally all seasonal crop combinations over the course of a year
I got you lmao
would paths work?
true and starfruit is pretty nice
No because weeds grow in them

It's hard to overstate just how bad spring and fall crops are compared to summer
Might as well path the whole ginger island farm
Coffee and grapes 👀
I start spring 1 y3 usually with full AF farm on regular farm & GI
Anaira got ring recommendation
Really though, the main farm is for buildings
?
I just want like, 100 stacks of coffee
Buildings are OP
I utilzed 20 tilled soil in the Greenhouse for meh Coffee since that's just enough to constantly maintain a supply of Triple Shot Espresso.
Big sheds are good
spring is for making carrots for your horse
yea ofc
I'm jsut messing around
For SC I use double iridium+double lucky
For volcano I use double iridium+burglar+lucky
You can give carrots to your horse?!
Damn this dwarf sword is killing me both inside and out
yes
if you have greenhouse and GI, you don't really need the main farm for money at all. Just decorate imo
it makes it 0.4 faster
Yep and they make sound
Oooo
No such thing as too much money
Hm no burglar?
Iridium+Lucky and Lucky+Burglar
so my first crop is carrots to last me thru the year in spring
I only have a horse on my switch save so I gotta wait
In volcano I do, for SC I do lucky for treasure floors & ladders
once I have like 100 mil. I see no point
Hmmm alright
Well yeah I’m deff decorating at that point lmao like my meadowlands farm right now
I'm currently planning out my farm and I'm planning for my only outdoor crop space to be pretty much decorative
Time to get lucky rings...i have 0 so far
That’s up to you though! I was just stating what I used
New update makes it a lot easier to get luckily
It shall exist purely for the sake of being able to see the junimos work
are artifact spots predetermined or can i use food/luck buffs to make them better?
Well ur suggestions are good soo...
Thanks!
Anyone find out if the cat tree or dog house gets used by your pets or the just to look at?
Best coop animal with golden animal cracker
golden chicken
Personally cows
but as for obtainable before perfection, I think sheep win out?
Yeah
Already determined, but archaeologist enchant on hoe will help increase artifact spawn chance
But sheep is only if you have Shepherd
otherwise ostriches?
If you don't have Shepherd or Golden Chickens, Ostriches are next best
For the cracker? Yeah
Is it Sheep with or without the Loom?
With
I knew it. I'm so smort
Cracker?
Why golden chickens ?
Because it's Gold
Animal cracker
What's that?
$$$$$$$ but at that point I guess it doesn’t matter lol
Hmmm
Farming mastery item
golden eggs give 3 gold quality mayo.
double that and each chicken is like 2.5k a day
Dang thats way too op
The auto catcher works if u dont wana make it into a chore no?
You can also use a treasure totem
Trueeee
yeeee
yea just auto collect and then mass proccess anything that's not high enough quality like once a week
You can use them anywhere with tillable tiles even quarry mine
Yep
i know
Does nobody use cheese in sc?
I use energy tonics
loads of people use cheese
to clarify, if you have the rancher perk, iridium gold eggs lose u 3 gold if you process them into mayo
yea, but artisan is life
Yeah, that's kinda the ideal super endgame farm. Basically a ton of coops full of golden chickens with autograbbers. Your maintenance is to buy hay once a week or so, and then harvest at infrequently as you wish, because all that matters is that the autograbbers don't fill up completely
3 gold?!

BUT MY MIN MAX…
That 3 Gold can feed a village.
I mean, they lose a lot more than since you don't have artisan 😛
Can i live in that village
its less about losing 3 gold and more that you put extra effort to lose money
why is mayo pretty much a universal like? bruuuhhhhh
I was getting annoyed with fences so I used the fish ponds, silos, machines (mayo, cheese, furnace, etc) to keep the animals in and only put a fence piece here and there to put gates on
Coz y not
Gold mayo also best for luau
Caroline trying so hard to be different smh
I think I'll give it more time. There's still some tiles to fill.
i decided to go with 2 deluxe barns atm, is this enough space for 24 pigs to roam around?
good luck. It gets exponentially slower to fill the less tiles there are IIRC
I'd put the barns on oposite sides so they're spaced out a bit at the bginning instead of having to path past each other for more room to produce
but it'd probably be fine
Love that but I kept forgetting to look before spamming the button lol
like this?
yea, just make sure you fix your fences :p
yeah
Not sure on the location for those barns since there is so little space for grass to grow naturally. Unless your good with auto feeders and hay
One of the raffle tickets prizes I thought was a free cow but it was a cow sticker
What do I do with it?
I think most "optimal" would be somewhere like each barn has room to the left and right, instead of jsut one direction, but i dont think anyone playing even remotely casually needs to care all that much
How much crit is too much crit
It's probably better to jsut use hay for feed so you don't miss any truffles in the grass. Those little buggers hide pretty good
I'd say anything over 100% crit chance is too much
With the new bobber styles, how do I unlock the last 2? (diamond and star drop I believe), I've caught every single fish so idk what to do
I believe it's around 55% crit without luck level buffs
need moar then! :p
I assume it's not possible, but it's funny
Fair enough time for statue of blessings
Actually why not +75 crit power
Although without luck level buffs would mean 48% chance, the crits would be able to deal 1k damage for that amount of crit chance
Aight yet around 1k on crit
Honestly, anything more than 20% crit chance on a fast attacking weapon isn't really necessary if you can double or triple crit damage easier than doubleing the chance
This is for 48% crit chance
making fences 2-tile thick will stop pigs from producing truffles outside of them, right?
48% crit chance for 1k damage on crit
nothing will stop them from producing outside unless the blocks are blocked all the wy to the edge of the farm
When will someone mod just a very simple "Challenge" Worm Bin?
so just leave the fence 1 wide
really?
really
wow, that's a headache
"the tile checked for debris is where the pig stands. If the tile in front of the pig is occupied (e.g., by a fence) the truffle is instead placed one tile further. If that tile is occupied, the truffle is placed one tile further, and so on. This can lead to truffles being spawned outside of a fenced area."

What was the gap between 15 releasing on PC and then on console?
Alright should I go +3 crit chance or +75 crit power (2.5x multiplier when on crit)
1.5*
Few months I think
One allows me to have a high crit chance around 50% while the other one is 48% but between 900-1200 damage on crit
Wouldn’t the latter be better then
damn still got a while to wait
Wait you can get the spouse weapons now?
1.6 smaller than 1.5 so idk
Yeah at festival
That's so cool
max level fairy?
True
Tools are now finished!
Also forgot to mention I have desperado so
I just got lv4 I dont want to reroll to possibly lose a max level already
Level 5 max level for fairy

what are the chances for owl statue event? its the 4th or 5th time i get it, it has to be bigger than other events right?
5
He's expecting a shorter wait this time around 🤞
There's a 0.5% chance of the stone owl event being chosen.
Same conditions as strange capsule, but you can have more than one stone owl
just reached skull cave 100 and all I got was some lousy life elixirs. Did the Stardrop from the mines get moved deeper in? Or is it that I havent triggered some quest beforehand?
Life elixirs from mines?
...Huh?
There was never a stardrop in the Skull cavern
Sorry I wrote mines, I meant skull cavern
Lmao
The Mines aren't Skull Cavern, silly.
Oh... there was a reward on floor 100 though?
There was the Iridium Snake Milk, which is tied to the quest from Mr. Qi
I mixed up the terms but I meant skull cavern
Also in 1.6 if you go deeper two chests on 200 and three chests on 300
Increases health instead of energy. You need the quest
If you want iridium snake milk, you'll need the secret note for it
Thanks. Thats my problem then
I dont have the quest
Does the secret note spawn before Qi's Challenge and/or The Mysterious Mr. Qi are done?
to get iridium snake milk, you need to have the magnifying glass from the winter event and the secret note talking about a secret on floro 100
Appreciate the help, it had been awhile.
As you can see, my memory was playing tricks on me haha.
The 35 floor delve and the member card quests
no worries
I forget if one or both (or neither?) are needed for that note
you can get it before these, but you're limited in that you need to have the magnifying glass from the shadow person in winter, and have found the secret note
arent seasonal plants included in catalogues?
Anyone got to those new floor 200 and 300 rewards yet? Seems tough to do that in time without massive staircase spam.
I have. It jsut adds more chests
and floor 400 doesn't get 4 chests. It's jsut floor 400
wdym?
Same treasure pool as regular chest rooms?
Oh, nothing really special then. I see.
(Fancier boxes though I hear)
Sandstone chests
floor 200 gets 2 chests, floor 300 gets 3 chest treasure rooms
yea they look pretty
I'd ask if we can keep the chests but I doubt it
woah didn't know thx
1.6 notes mentioned new treasures on floor 200 and 300 of the skull caves
but I haven't noticed a quality difference
We should take them with us
they break into dust if you right click them a bunch after opening
"Floor 100 of the Skull Cavern is guaranteed to contain a treasure chest. The only exception is during the run where the player completes the secret. Floors 200 and 300 of the Skull Cavern are also guaranteed to contain 2 and 3 treasure chests, respectively."
or is it only the first time?
So, every day it's refreshed.
If you leave skull cavern and go back down to floor 1-2-or 300, then you get the chests again, but -1 chest
so floor 100 will ahve no chests, floor 200 has 1 chest, and floor 300 has 2 chests
if you've already been to those floors that day
Just realised that Jewels of the Sea is actually useful for more than just legendary roe
but who's going to floor 200 twice a day?
There were in fact other fish that you couldn't get roe for before
yea you can get loads of weird roes
Squid and Midnight Squid roe were unobtainable before
geez
also, you can trade jewels of the sea for jellys. Can mke that sea jelly grind easier for some if they're lucky
how's the pool? is it the same as the single chest one?
Damn squid eggs are going to be yummy
it seems like it. but i'm not entirely sure
there's no mention of a difference on the wiki
i just wish they added lucky ring somewhere
Wasn't there at least one other fish that couldn't reproduce and now has roe as well via Jewels of the Sea
idk where to get it specifically
Tiger Trout couldn't reproduce, but could produce roe
just go panning
Certainly is after the preserving process lol
any place?
i have like 6 lucky rings
Panning can now "combo" (chance to spawn another panning spot each time, with upgraded pans having a higher chance)
iridium pan with the spots at the dig site and loads of luck = hve fun!!
GI has a good spot but any spot can have lucky rings, just rng
i need to wait till winter ends cuz i made truffle oil from all the truffles like an idiot
🤦♂️
the dig site is gaurunteed a pannign spot every half hour i think
Anyway, I have finished planning new farm I think. Obviously some details missing because planner (e.g. tree types are not final), but this seems like it covers all my bases
I like panning on riverlands, it's a nice downtime activity just chasing them down on your horse
Whats the strategy for all those coops, and feeding the little buggers?
Hay
We get stingray roe. Stingray are viviparous. I assume we age stillbirth or failed embryonic stingrays
my secret friend is evelyn
Thats quite something
You must know a way to produce massive amounts of hay that I dont haha.
Buy it
Oh.
From Marnie
Iridium scythe
Yeah, I guess that works, but its expensive.
Or grass starters
do I need to help get raccoon a wife or something
I got 2 silos so i can stock up
could also get some from wheat
Just do the bundle
Well Marnie will be able to send Jas to Havard.
Yes by doing his quest
Given golden chickens make 1100-1200g per day without animal crackers, the -50 from hay doesn't really matter lol
but buying is the easiest way to maintain when you got a lot of animals
is he gonna find a wife by himself i just finished a bundle
you mean the bundles in CC? cuz he isnt giving me any bundles just saying that he needs to find a wife
Nah, i meant the raccoons quest
smoked tuna and 5 cockles?
whats the best way to get clay now?
I GOT FUCKING STUCK
Joja murdered u
Yeah, just complete that and hell find his wife over time
its a joja train tho

Idk how long it takes but im guessing a week or so
whats the best way to get clay now?
oh, well i dont care then, if Joja needed my dead body im happy to provide
o7
what item is missing here_
Raisin
ah thanks
Year 2 finally got my giant cauliflower!
Could simply do artifact spots in the quarry mine by treasure totems
trueeeeee ty!
mine is full of trees at the moment
Since mines and quarry mines don't have their own artifact spot data
Oh, the dungeon
Honestly, if you're doing a run in there for coal, might as well hit the soil a bit before you leave. Dual purpose your run in there
Not outside in the actual quarry
does luck affect artifact chance? like 2 things I'm missing have .8% chance from bone nodes. Does that get helped by luck?
radioactive ore....is SC better than the mines?
Nah
someone said no but i ate luck buffs before gonig for the one i needed and i ended up with 4 of them lol
Could repeat floor 1 for radioactive ore in dangerous mines
guess it can't hurt at least
So SC and regular mines floor 1 have same/similar rates?
Yeah I've done that in the past
Yeah
thats what i said
try a treasure totem if you have any!!
But dangerous mines better because ladder closer
and you see the whole floor. see what you want? no? leave/come back. pretty fast
something tells me this isnt what pam meant by potato spirit
and yet, that's what pam is going to get 😄
Oh yeah that's definitely what Pam wants
three treasure totems got me 16 clay
Generous hoe can help too
i havent done any enchanting yet
Damn...
guess thats next on my to do list lol
Also how much of the area are you covering with the treasure totem?
HOLY MOLY
the full circle?
16 spots in a ring around you
wish I had a visual
You want to maximize the amount of artifact spots from the totem. Like this
wheres this from
you can buy it from her year 2, 5k
Took you that long to notice it? It even works doing closing times.
im in y2 spring day 19 for sale marnies shop
i just wanted milk pail and got a Book
It appears when y2 starts iirc
Yeah get a full circle
yeah i was lol
That way you get all 16 artifact spots
yeah
is it better to do it in the place u get the golden scythe?
Or you could do tilling in the mines
Why not the Railroad?
What are the chances of getting the trash catalogue? I keep reading it's a 20% chance after you've searched 50 garbage cans but I've searched well over 100 and gotten nothing
Am I doing something wrong?
Mines can reset tilling spots
It's called "Chance"....and it sucks.
same its year 2 winter and i still cant find a trash catalog
Do you have the book that buffs trash cans + luck buffs?
I have the book that buffs trash cans, but I forget to check the fortune teller icl
I heard it was misinterpreted and it's not "0.2" (i.e. 20%) but already is a percent (i.e. 0.2%)
you could check the predictor, mine was accurate for when it appeared
I do not know whether the book helps but luck is completely irrelevant
Oh has the predictor updated for 1.6?
Because yeah, the predictor works
Here's my crudly-made distance guage from your pic @steady narwhal
once u get the catalogue and hat, any reason to continue checking trash?
lmao
This is pretty good tbh
Sure has. Mouseypounds managed to get it out in about a week or so.
Nah imo
For loot
Trash hat
I still do it out of habit but it does give more stuff with the book
hhh maybe for food from the saloon but
yeah
I do like that the Challenge Bait practically shortens the time it takes to finish these "Fishing" quests.
That was the last book I got 😐
The crabbing one and the friendship one would take me time to get
Definitely could be used as reference LMAO
Isnt the friendship one in the prize ticket loop
better start contributing to the community
Gotta do more quests then
Oh damn that's simple but effective
I always the consider the House Plant as the beginning of a loop...because players will see a lot of those.
Help Wanted quests dispense a ticket with every third completion, and I think Special Orders provide a ticket with every completion
i just had the biggest brain fart oh my god
wish I hate the sprites to put in there, but eh
Were you tilling outside
I bet they left after tilling: "alright, tilled them all. I'm out."
just unlocked mastery, was gonna go farming first but all this treasure totem talk has made think maybe foraging. Mastery tier list everyone?
i had been saving and aging roe to make caviar when i got my cellar upgrade and i.....this whole time......it was salmon roe.....why did i think it was salmon roe???
Iridium scythe is just so insanely convenient, I'm told
wait wym
Especially on GI with all that space.
yeah that's a huge draw
You mentioned having trees in your quarry, but they meant for you to use the treasure totems in the dungeon
just what i wanted
Man...
oh i see now....i read "use treasure totems in the quarry" and i did that and now i see the message is edited to say "in the quarry mine" lmaoooo rip but oh well either way
1.6 sucks bc you can’t hang the cow decal in the barn
Oof
i thought it was gonna give me a real cow just in strangely high quality
You could always reset the day if you still have them
but yeah my brain fart was with the salmon roe lol
Oof
Yeah...idk why players just not mention Mine since the Quarry...is on the outside.
already on the next day
Oof. Feel you for this one. I sometimes have those moments
i dont even have a sturgeon in my chest and its the middle of fall cool cool cool cool
would the drop rate better in the mines tho? It'd just be better so u can reset, ur still gonna get crap like cave carrots and dwarf scrolls
he will be my shed mascot
also is there a strat for getting cinder shards? i feel like im having a hard time gathering them lol
Bombs?
so just mining in the volcano basically lol
I do monster musk to increase magma sprite spawn rate and just break cindershard nodes
If you have mining mastery, dwarf king with +1 ore buff helps too
Yep with bombs and pickaxe. Also open chests for cindershards too
literally say less rn what a day
im assuming luck buff foods would help as well?
Goddamn the good buff
It's either that or the Greater chance of ladders for me. It's a toss-up.
Yep luck levels help with increasing ore count
⛏️
Burglar ring killing the fire sprites
i dont have one yet lol
It's worth grinding for, believe me
oh my god i only need 11 more dust sprites
burglar ring and the fire monsters
yup
I feel like I'm trying too hard lmaoo
need someone to update the treasure totem wiki page with this plox
https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Treasure_Totem
Feel like the "Player" square could have been the Treasure Totem sprite
you forgot to include "random rocks in dirt that block the treasture spot"
Nah, I could figure it out. misses the top part completely when using a Treasure Totem
LMAO this is good
Are there any good uses for treasure totem?
I guess just finding artifacts you haven’t gotten yet, but by the time I get all lvl 10 I usually have all the artifacts
Can’t send pics in new farmers how do I do this?
Use wiki
You start at that house
On the green tile shown
That house right there.
if you use them on GI you can get 1. any bones you need that are buried and 2. loads of golden coconuts
And you walk in the directions it shows until you can’t walk in the g direction anymore
🙏🙏
Yesssssssss
I dont get that totem yet
It also looks so happy
so happy
Oh my goodness this is amazing
Bro is big chilling. Loves his job
I was hoping you could use it on the GI farm grass to give yourself more farming space
Grapes in junimo hut give a chance at double harvest or is someone pulling my leg?
In 1.5 if you found an artifact spot on the grass, you could use the tilled spot to farm
So I heard. Wonder what the chance is
Raisins
To craft it will need a Mystic Syrup, so it's not gonna be an immediate requisition.
I take it that’s just grapes in the dehydrator?
Ye
Yup

They consume the raisins to get the double harvest power for one week
Although with iridium scythe I don’t think Junimo Huts are worth it anymore
Why’s that?
So you can stuff their hut with several pouches to keep them in super mode for more weeks
I’m not really caught up on all then new tech in 1.6
It's not double, it's like 1.2x I think?
It’s not too much a hassle to harvest large farm areas anymore
It’s 25% at 2x from what I saw
How do you get 0.2 of a crop
The automation isn’t as useful now, iridium scythe harvests
So i've been playing on and off with the new update and I just had a question real quick
About books, if I read them twice will the effects stack? Surely not, right?
No, you get XP towards a skill
It's better to just sell or trade duplicates?
If you’ve read it already
Well, Junimos can get a chance to double harvest via Raisins, so there's that
It’s best to trade, the 250 xp isn’t really that valuable
Oh alright, thank ya
So 1 raisin is 1 week of bonus crops? And that’s consumed as soon as the buff runs out or when they start harvesting something?
That, I have no idea
Doesn’t anyone know if harvesting mystic trees will drop a seed?
I've heard the answer is no
Junimo Huts are good if the crops cover the majority of the Junimo's range; otherwise, if there's obstacles like rivers, ponds, and untillable ground, (shoutout to Riverland Farms), I'd imagine players just offload all their farming to the GI and redecorate their farm accordingly rather than plant crops on their farm.
I did the same. Not sure if it's cute or horrific but it's staying
The only way to get a seed so far from what I read...is to craft it.
Junimo huts are mostly a decorative piece to me. Buuuut. It feels wrong to use them for 0 benefit so there’s always some crops in range
There’s junimo huts as literal decor now anyway
like, the totals.
If you have 100 crops planted, they'll have harvest 120ish at the end ofthe day
Wait what?
yall i am STRUGGLING on where to put my house rn
brooooo i got this parrot egg like half a second before i passed out lmao
worth
can you enchant the advanced iridium rod?
yep
yea
good
they're are some pretty good enchants too
Finally got master on my normal one, forgot I would get a new one from mastery 😭
I assume there isnt a way to transfer
😭
unfortunately not
I just killed a yellow slime (Mines 65, no slime-related quests or special equipment, Winter 23 year 1) and got 250g for it, instantly added to my money counter. I haven't seen this before, and I can't find anything about it on the wiki. Is this a new 1.6 thing?
yes
The fish specific bait is kinda bad
Anyone else glad that challenge bait uses easy to get stuff in its recipe
gold slime gives an amount of money dependent on either how much gold you have or your total income, not sure
Gold slime
neat!
I am literally never going to use it lmao
Id get 1 fish every time anyways
first tryyyy lets goooo
Yes, by having a 20% chance to double-harvest.
Junimo catalog
Yeah tbf it would be helpful, I just don't fish enough to bother
Happy with my deluxe bait
I saw someone who got 3 of each iridium star legendary fish
😭
NICE
what's wrong with it
...Unless it's a smaller chance to triple harvest but that would be weird
The fact that you can now get multiple of the legends is going to make me actually hate myself for not getting 3 😭

Ill just get the one I guess
im fr blanking on what to do
What does generous do again lol 💀
chance to doubble ur product
50% chance of double item after digging.
Just wait until you get a Blessings of Water on a rainy day. Boom. Practically a win against The Legend.
use a rain totem every day until its a day with blesing of water
Ah yeah I forgot about them
chellnge bait it
I might attempt to get 3 of each
also get legend roe too
Why crying
Ohh that’s better than archaeologist?
How does blessings of water make it "easier"?
Like what does it change im yet to use it
im assuming so since i want it for clay
nerfs the fish's stats
thefishing buff makes the first three fish you catch "easy" and I mean extremely easy. so if the legend is one of those...
I think %50 chance for 2 items is better than doubling an artifact chance, cause doubling some .08% items feels useless
I think it halves their difficulty
legendary fish are only 25% instead of 50% though
"When this blessing is active, the difficulty of Legendary fish decreases by 25% and the difficulty of non-Legendary fish (with the exception of Carp) decreases by 50%. In addition, for all fish, the progress bar decreases 50% slower."
Carp is just built different
"I am Legendary!" - Carp
Carp built SO bad, it literally can't be made easier
Can you use challenge bait to get their extended family too?
What do yall think is the most useless item in the game
oh yeah i forgot you can catch them more than once
I think it’s gotta be legend bait
Sap (just remove it from every recipe it's in I hate sap)
Rotten plant
omg recolor mods ae so cool
It it because Sap becomes sticky on your hands?
🤨
Are mods like stardew valley expanded working with 1.6?
I had: adv iridium rod, trap bobber, cork bobber, and the blessing and it was dead easy, I was amazed
I know that 1.6 was supposed to help modders
some. You jsut gotta look on the mod page and update smapi and your mods
most of my mods are good to go, they were finished updating over a week ago
Crazy how whole mods are updated faster than the wiki lol
free love and animation avatars are my favorite so far
its cause they had access to the code changes early i think?
Not including new content stuff
I wonder if any mods will add books and trinkets and mastery rewards for new skills
adventurers guild needs to open earlier man
more rings mod gives you more slots for trinkets as well
People gonna have 4 animals following them at once
all birds. Stupid money
I'd use Magic Quiver and Golden Spur, because I'm a DPS main.
I wish the higher level parrot gave a slightly higher minimum money than 250
I’ve noticed that the magic quiver isn’t boosted by crits
I just wish there was a junimo one man
True !!!
I'm a void frog main
It can range from 250-2000 per mob, that adds up!
Maybe it could boost foraging or crop harvests
Spring 7 Year 3: Now up to 16 Mystic Trees (8 of them are Tree-Fertilized-Growing)
Maybe it gives you luck or picks up items idrk
Yeah maybe it could forage for itself
True, but maybe like 10 more at minimum per level?
I wish the wiki was updated with trinket information.
It's hard to know how useful soemthing is when it has (X) effect for (Y) duration
So like a level 1 one would give 250 minimum and a level 5 one would give 300
I know level 5 doesn’t exist but there are other ones with level 5
I don’t mind the frequency tbh
Rather frequency than minimum at least
Also does the burglar ring affect coin drops?
doesnt it always drop 250 gold, it's jsut how many of those proc per mob, right?
Not always, but otherwise yeah
what do we think of the house (I have never decorated in my entire life i just hoard)
I feel like maybe higher lvl parrot has higher chance of gold drop proccing mybe.
Or there'd be no point to lvls
No
it does
Rip
That’s what it is
house looks cute.
Has a bit much empty space in the master bedroom, could get kinda drafty. Dont kow a solution though
more of a #farms-and-outfits question though I think
those guys over there are good
oh yeah i forgot that channel was a thing
Idrk how to fill space I just put stuff against the wall
think about irl.
You wouldn't want a table in a bedroom with your chairs pinned up against the corner, right?
Maybe pull them out from the wall a bit.
But it's really just the master bedroom that feels "off" to me. Everythign else looks great
maybe rugs?
Yeah I guess, I just feel like it looks weird in the middle
they break up the zone without being physical barriers
I looked at the rugs in the catalog but I cant say im feeling any of them
Looks like the chairs have a tile of space behind them?
yea, the options aren't always that great sadly
okay so now i take my generous hoe and some treasure totems and go into the quarry mines, or the dungeon as i think its called? and use them there?
I'm talkin about master bedroom
Oh the bedroom couches
Yeah if that's a coffee table, you... usually have space for your legs
Not directly up against each other
Yep. As in the image shown
perf perffff
and then if i hit the tiles with my pickaxe i can do it again in the same spot yeah
This feels like too much space though? not sure
Yep
As shown in this image @vale quartz
yup yupppp
looks like a house that actually gets used by a family, that's nice!
i do understand the radius lmao
I feel like the light or large green rug would fit in the master bedroom quite well.
And maybe like the modern or funky rug in the living room where the tv area is?
Did you mean in the top left room? If so, those couches just sit awkwardly in the middle of tiles lmao
but the spacing looks good now imo
I think they were looking at the dining room table chairs
Ohh
Yeah i wasnt really sure what to do with that i just wanted to use that table
😭
no, the dining room table and chairs look great!
the more i look at this the more normal it looks actually, ill leave the space
this si a great way to tile it
and I'm pretty sure you can ahve tappers and mush logs on the same tile?
i made up an endgame mushroom log setup that also integrates kegs and tappers into the equation and you can just walk through every 4 days and make bank
send pics!
I appreciate that you can't pick up carpets with stuff on them now, but i think it should still be possible 😭 its just as bad now
wait can you have tappers and kegs in the same tile
I dont think so
Maybe if you hold down or something then you could pick up the carpet?
I thought they technically blocked most items from being placed 1 tile below the tree base
Point is, yes, you can have tappers next to all these shrooms.
Double down and whatnot
green: tree, grey: keg, brown: mushroom log, blue: crystalarium, orange: flooring
the crystalariums even with diamonds fall horribly short so its just to get some extra jade
get a greenhouse that makes 84 ancient fruit a week and a shed with 60 dehydrators and you're making 2mil a season
is this your quarry?
More g per day than crystalariums assuming mystic trees with heavy tappers though more situational in placement
okay MUCH better....got 150 clay out of 5 totems lol
Yep
its too big for the quarry so its for the standard farm and i think the island too?
Only good in places like the quarry, railroad, etc.
Good you were able to get more
but yeah this setup is nice cause you only gotta check it 11 days a month and you make bank on every single one
mystic tree ofc
Dang you’re missing out on so much g per tile by just double or triple stacking each row/ planting on the path tiles
Did the wiki just die?
i was jsut about to ask that lmao
OOF
i care about efficiency but i have standards for how it looks
Wiki got that Reddit hug of death
please i was about to grab my items for the fair
how do i throw the ancient doll into the lava,, theres like some invisible field preventing it from fallling
I mean they still look decent when at a max efficiency setup, and you’re barely operating at like 60% of what you could
I can guide ya through. Pierre is easy to beat
the stardew fair helper
why only 84?
just right click, right?
i have no idea
mannn mouseypounds has everything
that’s how i did it
