lmaoo look what I just did

dusty pollen
hushed raven
#

I love that so much

dusty pollen
#

for a sticker SBVLmaoDog

errant comet
#

!!

#

I can make a higher res rq

dusty pollen
#

(if you want it as a sticker in this server, I recommend posting the high res version to #1020054604534259742!)

errant comet
#

worth a shot

#

okie done lets see how well it goes

#

wasnt even that hard to make really

hushed raven
#

I feel like I could do a better job with fonts in windows movie maker, why are so many missing a cross section and why does the second line look so bad???

#

Ahh ttf is vector not raster, that may be the reason

errant comet
#

not sure, never really worked with fonts outside of the showcase thing above somewhere

#

such a shame I don't have nitro to use it here 😭

hushed raven
#

and now importing pngs isn't working, I am so confused by the program

#

oh and it crashed... wow

cinder karma
#

Ngl game maker scares me

hushed raven
#

itch gave me two versions of this program, the latest version were importing pngs no longer works for some reason, and the previous version, where nine slice down't work, why???

errant comet
#

are you exporting it in a right way?

hushed raven
#

and now it magically works, it wouldn't be so bad if there way a log so I could see whats happening when it breaks

#

Oh i'm not even at the exporting yet XD

errant comet
#

okay its 1am I really gotta fix my schedule

#

gnn yall

hushed raven
#

gn! and thank you for the help XD

dusty pollen
#

(and an option to enable crash logs)

hushed raven
#

Oh ye there is a log somewhere but I literally cannot find it for the life of me, I know where it is on the windows version, which doesn't work through wine or proton on my pc XD

#

but not on linux so I am like super stuffed SMCKekLmaoDog

dusty pollen
hushed raven
#

I did, and experimental, and proton 10 GE, it kept crashing when exposing some nodes fields without fail

dusty pollen
#

weird

#

9.0 4 worked for me

hushed raven
#

theres only been twice where proton has failed me, a super old win32bit game, and this, which is quite suprising

hushed raven
#

Remembered launching programs through the terminal means I get logs to it, which is grand for figuring out why animations don't export
/usr/bin/bin/ffmpeg.exe: No such file or directory 1. there is no /usr/bin/bin 2. exe? seriously? on the native linux build? do they even test this?

pliant snow
#

i was also running into export issues, but due to missing imagemagick.exe lol

little furnace
#

This is especially bad because on Windows you don't even need the .exe extension. So that would have been a super easy fix for compatibility.

fleet wren
little furnace
hushed raven
#

honestly that's pretty probable ngl

little furnace
#

Does creating a symlink work?

#

If you sell it as work in progress, I won't blame you for bugs that exist due to ongoing development. But if you advertise support for a platform, I expect you to ensure at least basic compatibility and not just wrap a third-party translation layer and call it a day.

hushed raven
#

I would prefer they don't have a dedicated linux port if it's just a wrapper for wine/alike, atleast I'd know from the get go that I need to do it myself

#

also symlink stops the missing exe eroor, but it doesn't actually export to an mp4 which is a shame

little furnace
#

Awwww.

#

If it was source-available, you could simply submit fixes and build it for yourself.

hushed raven
#

at least it lets me export 120 frames to assemble, so I can still use it, if just a bit of an arse

hushed raven
little furnace
#

Huh. Is the repo open for pull requests?

hushed raven
little furnace
#

... I know what I'll do tomorrow.

hushed raven
#

you'd be my saviour XD

little furnace
#

My professor told me today that I have successfully mastered procrastination.

hushed raven
#

Now that is a skill to have, may not be the best skill, but it sure is a skill XD

little furnace
#

I feel like it's more a lack of skill.

cinder karma
#

Tomorrow is Tuesday! You know what that means

hushed raven
#

A good thing about the export to animation being broken is I can make the animation with the avif format outright, thank you python and PIL, still my most used import XD

devout vault
cinder karma
#

this one feels as chaos as it looks

#

Pretty much every time I put a bunch of arms on a track

#

And there are two groups here!

#

It's 2p because I did the math once, came up with 4 qs, then did the math again, came up with 2qs, then just merged the two solutions together

#

More journal pages tomorrow?

#

I like how one arm looks like it's playing keepaway

fleet wren
#

I am glad atra and arms on tracks have resolved their differences

cinder karma
#

It's not arms on tracks

#

It's pistons on tracks

#

You will notice....no pistons on tracks.

#

The purification station just happened to work out lol

errant comet
#

Morning everyone

safe dragon
#

morning

#

I'm currently sitting here in confusion

#

I told a delivery service to deliver on Wednesday, they told me they will deliver it on Wednesday... but the tracking code claims it'll be at my door within 20 minutes

#

but on the other hand they've supposedly not even started driving yet

#

idk what they're even doing honestly. They've driven the package to 3 different cities at this point

cyan shadow
#

DHL?

#

For some reason they always take my packages to Belgium first

safe dragon
#

nope... GLS, the delivery service of choice for the steam controller

cyan shadow
#

GLS always sends my stuff to a pickup point because they don't bother to ring the doorbell

safe dragon
#

idk if they even have a pickup point in this city

cyan shadow
#

So I hope that's not the case for you

#

They share one with postnl and everyone else

#

It's not far from me anymore but when I lived at my old place it was a very long bike ride

safe dragon
#

postnl dumps ours at a horrible to reach business park outside of town

#

the pickup point gets horrendous reviews cause of people being mad it ended up there

cyan shadow
#

For why

#

We have so many postnl pickup points here

#

The one I go to is literally a dedicated package processing shop

#

They do vinted pickups too

safe dragon
#

we do too but they just use none of them because technically this one is still within their 3 km distance requirement

cyan shadow
#

Ah

safe dragon
#

if you give up ever having home delivery you can manually choose a pick up point and I'd have tons to choose from all around my house

cyan shadow
#

UPS sends my packages to a random knitting shop on the other end of town, it has awful reviews for the same reason as the business park

#

Which is such a pity because the old people running it are such sweethearts

safe dragon
#

DHL dumps mine at a liquor store but it's like a 10 minute walk so whatever

cyan shadow
safe dragon
#

at least the place we're review bombing does nothing except handle packages

cyan shadow
#

I love them so much, they actually remembered me the second time I came in and told me my Dutch had improved SMCSobs

safe dragon
cyan shadow
#

They were happy I was trying

#

Not necessarily because their English was bad but just because I was trying lol

safe dragon
#

not everyone does

cyan shadow
#

I know

#

I don't get it, at least for this province. People are usually really nice to you if you say you're learning and then they slow down a bit for you

#

In Amsterdam, sure, there's a good chance the café owner or whatever also doesn't speak Dutch lmao

#

But literally everywhere else, gotta try!

safe dragon
#

my mom being a teacher in Rotterdam exposed her to a ton of people with immigrant backgrounds and while the students themselves always learned Dutch, they'd fairly regularly have parents who have been here for often more than a decade who somehow learnt genuinely nothing, no basics even

cyan shadow
#

Yeah idk

#

But I think there are more resources now than back then

safe dragon
#

it'd help them the most so I'd hope it's improving

#

I can't imagine living somewhere where you just can't communicate with the people of that country

#

it seems they just stick to their local communities

cyan shadow
cyan shadow
#

And then they were stuck

safe dragon
#

pretty much

#

my mom's retired now so idk if things have changed noticeably

cyan shadow
#

New migrants have to learn

#

You can't naturalize unless you're B1 at the minimum

#

I'll be B1 in August, fat lot of good it'll do me in the end though since it really is looking like I'll have to go back

safe dragon
#

job hunting's really not working out huh

cyan shadow
#

Nope

#

Can barely find anything I can apply to

cinder karma
#

For me, the first pulls 4 tin, downgrade them all to lead, and merges them all to iron

#

The second pulls 3 tin and downgrades 2

#

So I'll end up with 6

#

I could not figure out a way to have 1 product made with out waste

devout vault

#

(I'm not, but what if?)

fleet wren
#

100% waste free

fleet wren
devout vault
#

Unreal also has blueprints though. And there's a fairly well known C# thing for unreal

pliant snow
#

Why endure the pain of C++ when you can use picotron and lua instead

devout vault
#

Is that the pico8 stuff

fleet wren
#

wow this almost feels wrong

devout vault
pliant snow
devout vault
#

...pico-9?

#

(Or pico-16, even)

pliant snow
#

I think it did begin life as pico-64 lol

#

hmm succulent lava block

cinder karma
#

Tried making a qs generator in the top but that was even more metal pulled

errant comet
#

I thinks thats the block I did before

errant comet
#

There's sines wiggles saws and bounces I think

#

Some don't work

#

Or or at least looked like they didn't

errant comet
#

purely visual barcode gen

lethal walrus
#

i was almost expecting you to have done the encoding of text into it before the image loaded

errant comet
#

that's not that hard to do but I don't really know how it works

lethal walrus
#

i dont either tbf

errant comet
#

I guess I could assign each string a line of different pixels but then its gonna look pretty chonky

#

and im not sure if it supports text or numbers only

#

wait why make barcode boring bnw if I can make it colorful

#

and then encode text into array of different colorful lines

#

and after that I somehow how to make a decoder for it

#

hm

lethal walrus
#

quite ambitious

errant comet
#

Now I gotta make the one that can read colors to text

lethal walrus
#

oh thatsa smart way to do it

errant comet
#

used tunnels cuz too much lines were annoying

#

But it works both ways now!

#

im thinking of some ways to improve it but generally I really love how it turned out

lethal walrus
#

oo

#

i should try a qr code encoder but ive never done that before at all

errant comet
#

okay fixed the case issue and now it autosamples the graydient to match stringmap lenght to allow a dynamic stringmap typing and easier index math

#

Probably the most complex find I did yet

#

there was also a way to make a dictionary via struct nodes but for some reason they hated the color as value and random text as keys

devout vault
#

@safe dragon can you confirm or deny

cinder karma
#

If someone mails me one I can take it apart and look for an accelerometer

#

And then ||sell it on ebay for the monies||

safe dragon
#

I cannot. The steam controller has not arrived yet

devout vault
safe dragon
#

I'm sure it has an accelerometer considering it supports gyro controls

devout vault
#

I almost said that, but it could just have a gyroscope for that

safe dragon
#

I suppose

devout vault
#

...maybe? I don't know enough about them

safe dragon
#

me neither

devout vault
#

Supposedly the scream only works in big picture mode, and only triggers sometimes

safe dragon
#

in a world with quantum tunneling joysticks who am I to say what's possible

heavy daggerBOT
little furnace

Considering that accelerometers are ridiculously cheap, I assume it has them.

lethal walrus

i think i do prefe rthe looping

devout vault

Wow that is incredibly subtle (at least in the looping one)

lethal walrus

yeah the framerate is 0.25x so it is very minor

its a lot more noticeable when zoomed in

i was doing a lot of python for the last 47 horus there

i have made a new word for 88x31s

hushed raven

lethal walrus
little furnace

Might be because of RAM. Still, I have absolutely no idea what they are thinking.

lethal walrus

i want to make 88x31s for my other sites now but like

what do i do for skyblock.onl ??

omg i should make a 88x31 for sneeb.fans

I will make a 89×32 just to trigger people who notice it.

lethal walrus

😔

hushed raven
lethal walrus

skyblock.singles and/or skyblock.ing and/or skyblock.gay and/or skyblock.onl doesnt really have much to do with the actual blocks

hushed raven

I always forget you have so many domains XD

im not even the worst offender for skyblock.tld

and i have 3 more that i just dont use

the original skyblock guy has.. so, so, so many

hushed raven

Good lord, too many, that must be breaking the bank

lethal walrus

when the bank is from a minecraft server it's probably not too bad

i dont think a lot of them are renewed tbf

so what background do we think gives off sneeb

hushed raven

pentagonal for sure

lethal walrus

true but also the randomness of a maze or random tile

any ideas how to make it better?

errant comet

this kind of scam is the hardest to prevent using automod

uncounterable

#

ty discord

hushed raven
#

I think Iro did some OCR stuff to find them easily

errant comet
#

I made some stuff for my server as well and it helps to block most of scams

#

but not those with just images

#

I think some bots are required for it

#

maybe trigger on particular image resolution or metadata lol

red crest
little furnace
#

I mean, it would be technically easy for Discord to block certain checksums, they just... don't.

lethal walrus
errant comet
#

discord can easily prevent that it just doesnt care

little furnace
lethal walrus
#

the exact ones?

errant comet
#

I hate discord for that and the fact they no longer give 700 orbs per video quests

hushed raven
#

The URL changes often which is why checksums won't work for them but OCR tends to work well

errant comet
#

I thought ocr is some kind of disorder

#

apparently not

#

it is tho just not in this context ig 😭

little furnace
lethal walrus
errant comet
#

worst part that verification doesn't save from this kinda thing cuz a lot of people get hacked while being a member for a while

lethal walrus
hushed raven

That's why I'm fond of the money pot idea, even if an account is hacked, automated tools will try to get every role possible to get channels behind locked roles

frosty echo

cinder karma
lethal walrus
errant comet

it depends if it exposes a thing to execute

lethal walrus

so interestingly

hushed raven

http download node does work with jpgs, just not avif specifically, shame

lethal walrus

the spinner for the download in progress only works if you move your camera

errant comet

lets see if I can steal your pfp using pxc

hushed raven
#

for me it only works if you do something, whether it be moving the mouse or the camera, not touching anything just makes it stay still XD

lethal walrus

im not convinced it works at all given its been taking far too long to get a 55kb jpeg

#

it works for me if i move the mouse.. but only with a modifier key pressed, and itll only be smooth if that modifier is alt

errant comet

does it even consider webp an image

it can connect to network as I understood from html but

small images seem to not bother it

my own node based image thing

errant comet

oh okay it was the webp issue

most images work

hushed raven

I did start it and have a basic gui and nodes but it's still a bit terrible XD, using lua for the nodes bc it's so much easier and quicker

errant comet
#

I know some luau but not sure if I am able to do anything here

it's got much better compression than gif and much better quality for the level of compression

I think you may wanna check the composite node

it allows to transform multiple surfaces in one node

lethal walrus
#

yes i should, i really should

#

and i have used it in the past

#

i just didnt here because ???

errant comet

cuz thats some real black magic here

#

basically composite is a much better blend

#

allows to connect more than two nodes and does basically everything else +supports layers/transformations and such

hushed raven

the composite node saved my text, blend very much made it so blurry, great fun using the logic gates too, that helped with the getting the text to appear correctly without fussing with key frames

errant comet

errant comet

never really tried logic gates but they seem fun

for basic animation stuff its much useless me think but for dynamic generators I see this as a nice thing

unfortunately not a dumb phone or a Linux phone

#

but a custom OS at least

hushed raven
#

I'd go with a bank that has a web portal if it meant I could have true linux on my phone

safe dragon
#

it has one

#

the app is for 2fa

hushed raven
#

like generic authenticator app 2fa or bank special 2fa app?

safe dragon
#

bank special

hushed raven
#

safe dragon
#

crystal wren
#

I miss my bank's little PIN card machine.

hushed raven
#

safe dragon
#

hushed raven
#

Theres one bank that still has them in the UK I think but I don't remember the name

safe dragon
#

aside from my bank there's also the dutch digital id system which uses an app for logging in though I'd assume they have an alternative

#

main 2 really

cinder karma
#

I think it's wild to not have level 2 charging if you have an electric car

#

It's literally $250 in supplies!

dusty pollen
#

hushed raven
#

I thought it had blue branding? it's been so long since I've used a high street bank ngl

dusty pollen
#

cinder karma
#

HSBC is Hong Kong and Singapore Banking Corporation but is one of the biggest banks in the UK for some reason

#

the others are mostly British

hushed raven
#

Wasn't midlands bank the british version that was bought out by HSBC? it was from before my time so I'm not certain at all XD

dusty pollen
#

possibly? if it's before your time it's definitely before I moved to the UK SDVkrobusgiggle

hushed raven
#

Ahh ye, midlands bank was from birmingham, acquired by HSBC in 1992, and full rebranded to HSBC in 99, 100% before my time

prisma flume
#

i simply can't fathom why the Hong Kong Singapore banking corporation would be big in Britain SDVdemetriums

cinder karma
#

No idea, i muttered, as I try to find a non British outlet in Hong Kong

hushed raven
#

to establish a UK and european foothold of course! they must've had a lot of money to buy out one of the Big Four XD

little furnace
#

I think you can hardly call it an European foothold if they are established only in the UK.

safe dragon
#

idk who they are

#

the ING group is the big one here

#

as far as banks go they're pretty good in most ways

little furnace
#

-# I actually have no idea what Nebraska is like.

safe dragon
#

I'm sorry to Nebraska but it's probably one of the least memorable states they've got

hushed raven
#

Ye it's certainly not the correct use for foothold at all XD a euro foothold would have to be atleast 3 places in my opinion, in west, central, and east europe XD

#

Ohio is flat, california is techy, florida is swamp, nivada is casinos, nebraska is....there?

little furnace
safe dragon
#

Nevada is now nvidia

hushed raven
#

I did mess the spelling up slightly XD

little furnace
#

Kansas might also be boring, but at least they named themselves after a good band.

safe dragon
#

apparently Nebraska just has a lot of agriculture and that's basically it

little furnace
#

People say that it's boring to drive through. It's the size of a mid-sized country, I feel like anything would be boring after three hours.

Messina was way too easy.

#

||You call the strait between Italy and Sicily the Strait of Messina, so it's kinda obvious that it's close to it.||

It's a joke because in the house of leaves book, the word "house" is stylized in blue. So I made the word a link to the Wikipedia article to make it blue in the same way
