  Since it sounds like you have a stronger focus on math than most CS people, it would make sense imo to do projects related to math you enjoy.

electricity was always a big one for me because the “single ball in a pipe” metaphor that we tend to be taught with is very flawed when it comes to understanding things like why voltage in series is split evenly between components (how does the ball “know” that there are more components down the pipe?)

it works better when you think of it as a pipe full of electrons that are then all pushing each other, so if a later electron experiences resistance down the pipe, it will impact precious ones too, so energy is transferred not from individual electrons but from all of them pushing together against all the components (which is my layman understanding but atra can correct me when they see this )

There is a really interesting theory about this though!

Basically, the reason younger millenials and older gen z have much higher rates of literacy than previous generations may very well be a result of the internet being mostly text based at the time, so we spent much more time practicing reading and writing than any other generation.
