It has media keys support, but doesn't integrate with media controls on windows. Or if it does, it doesn't work for me.

What I meant though was better in-browser controls. The thing I liked about be quiet is that

• it allowed you to auto-pause when you started playing new video/audio
• you had play/pause/next/previous controls for individual tabs, not just the whole browser

Also relying solely on media keys makes some things awkward, like if I open YouTube while playing music in the background, I can't use media keys, or if I want to pause my music player with a game open and also have a browser with a paused video open in background

• Postponed the assignment until the night before, a few hours (or sooner) before the deadline
  There was no inbetween.

I had a lecturer who shouted at me for "assuming he could mark my work whenever I wanted" when I handed it in late once, which was annoying because I didn't at all assume that, I just wanted to make sure he saw I ended up doing it and would have been completely fine if he said he didn't have time to mark it, but I understood the issue of not having the time to grade assignments late (and from that point made sure to say any time I handed anything in late that I didn't expect it to be marked)

HOWEVER, he said if you managed to get first place he would give you the extra credit (probably jokingly).

Pretty sure I got first place that semester (as I did a few other semesters), can't recall if I actually got that extra credit or not

ours tended to be a lot more complicated than this - they took the raw marks and used a formula to convert them into "UMS", which they adjusted for each exam based partially on how well everyone did but not so fully strictly to make it so exactly x% of people got each grade

but yeah, if you think about it, custom grading scales for each exam are themselves a type of curve

It's a whole different topic with a big emphasis on depth and learning basic concepts, it's just apples and oranges and it is hard to explain.
