rarely throughout the dungeon, you will find small vents on the ground. If you crouch down and grab the hatch to open it, the white circle that indicates something you can pick up will apear in it. If you hold your grip button while pointing at it, you will sit inside it until you press your jump button to leave. You can use this to hide from certain enemies throughout the dungeon.

However, if you stay inside for too long, (around 30 seconds) A monster inside will start eating you taking 10 health points from you every second. Eventually killing you.

I actually really like the idea of hiding places

The incentive to keep up with quota will negate the risk of people permanently hiding in the hole.

It does add to the spooky element though so the secondary monster might work well.

Developer considerations: Physics systems break down with confined spaces.

and have a cool down of a minute
