Goku is all around a good DPS still even if he gets nerfed
he doesn't need to be specific
You can't really nerf him unless you heavily decrease his Spirit Bomb DMG

I think he will be pretty bad in terms of 1 on 1's just because everything on his kit seems to be relying on a group jumping him
so he will probably be really great when jumping a boss since everyones on it

But Giant Slayer at late game does more damage than pre-nerfed Snowball.

so what skill do you guys usually max out first? tryna main goku
idk if itâs still up to date because I havenât played him in season 3 but you go meteor smash and kamehameha, then you put one point into kaioken and then you always upgrade meteor smash or kamehameha and genkidama at lvl 10 and 11
honestly itâs up to you if you prefer kamehameha or meteor smash
Let them come at you, dash away, if they dash at you, get close to them and ult
up to you to pick one of meteor hammer or kamehameha, both are good
usually i like maxing kamehameha first
but the downtime between max khh and max meteor hammer isnt that long

Goku either needs a massive buff of a rework, he sucks. No def, such low hp and no damage
no damage is crazy but yeah heâs not as good as before without kid gohan s3
Last game it was 1 vs 3, they were so low hp you needed one ability to kill them all, but Goku? He didn't do damage, I went with meteor crush + kaioken and they didn't died, direct hit Kamehameha and they DIDN'T DIED, and they killed me in such short time

im outfarmed, outranged, and can only catch kills if im fresh and she just had a fight
Kaioken + meteor crusher , let her dash away, then kaioken + Kamehameha and she dies, kefla has low def like piccolo, 2 hits and she dies
If she runs use kaioken to chase her before she's far enough
My man needs his Second Kaioken, and old Genki-Dama Back
Idk Abt old bomb but the kaiolen would def make him more fluid to use

Goku's Spirit Bomb's speed should he how it used to be, they gutted its damage, i have no clue why these incompitent devs had to also gut its speed

not only that, but out right double the damage of khh at this point, or nerf kefla
Its not fair that that peice of trash character Kefla has a move with the same cooldown, but it is outright FASTER, DOES MORE DAMAGE, and is just plainly undodgable, while Goku has to work 10 times as hard to land that 1 shot, just do die
The Kaioken buff was cool and all, but that needs a change too
keep it the way it is by also increasing its stats, make it double ur defense and damage ouright
And, make it so that the kaioken's duration is extended when ur are taking damage and/or attacking
again, Kefla has a Simmilar skil that lasta for nearly 4 times the duration
what the actual hell is a 2 second Kaioken going to do in a one on 1 fight
it should last longer WHEN fighting, and trying to protect urself from damage
In higher level play, I often die before that first Kamehameha animation is even over after a suprise attack
i dont even get to proc backstab, even gain any distance
I dont care that everyone is broken in their own way, keep it that way
but make them equally broken at least
have you even read what kaioken does? it literally gives Strike Attack Up, All Defense Up, and Movement Speed Up ontop of giving skills more damage BUT ANOTHER EFFECT
not only that but literally using another skill refreshes kaioken letting you use it after opening a fight with it
I have, and comparing it to kefla, that 2 seconds isnt even anything at all
you die by then, i get to slam my head against torunament players weekly, Goku has just become a throw pick, he's actually garbage now
the only good thing about him is his boss secure, and even thats not easy
takes an insane amount of skill to consistently do

I got to S through solo que and just am always up against high ranking players even when solo quing
especially this time of day, he's just not good anymore
I can confidently say I play him better than the majority
but after months of being beaten down by kefla who is just straight up better, yea he is just not good

I solo tanks late game using a strat for him I came up with
I know when to use his skills to reset the Kaioken cooldown to take advantage of backstab, I've been doing nothing but trying to make this charater work for the past 5 weeks
I've been playing no one else but him every day straight up for the past 5 weeks
He just isnt enough

don't know actually since kaioken powers up your rush attacks, could easily test it out in training i think?
I've been getting a bit into Goku recently, looking to make him my third DPS most likely.
What's you guys' preferred skill path? I usually just either avoid skill 2 for kamehameha + kaioken max rank or give it only one level but then only get one max-rank skill at lv8 (usually kamehameha)
you level up kaioken last not your second biggest source of damage silly
not only does Meteor Hammer give you back kaioken like kamehameha does ontop of having a shorter cooldown but it has a 70% slow
youâd want to keep kaioken at level 1 for like most of the game, youâd want to max out every move before leveling up your kaioken, so max out metor hammer, kamehameha, and spirit bomb
once every move is maxed out then you can focus on leveling up kaioken

I love this guy because he's so plain. This guy goes back to Dragon Ball fundamentals. You dont have to think too much to use him to the fullest. Just grab this guy and have fun. Just dont upgrade his Kaioken until last
What combo and skill priority?
S1, S2, Ult, S3, in that order for skill priority
Depends on what ur DPS rank is
Cuz is higher level play you have to learn to hit the Khh without the hammer
because hitting the hammer is essentially telling ur enemy that ur getting ready to khh them, they always dodge behind you if they are even semicompotent
Im gonna go against the usual advice and tell you to level up Spirit Bomb last
Th Speed from kaioken is extremely priceless Mobily if you aren't rinning many green cards
hitting the point blank khh first allows you to use the hammer after that to regain ur Kaioken, this allows you to chase the enemy or escape using it depedning on the situation
Most people go for hammer first then khh, but swapping the order around is far more effective, but it does take some practice
The reason for this is like I mentioned, it allows u to use the hammer to escape or chase
but also, this is far more effective when done right because it kills them faster and they are way less likely to dodge behind u
Often times before bardock and Kefla got nerfed I'd die before the first khh animation was even over despite doing this suprise strat, so starting of with the hammer is just dumb
Taking them out faster means u get to walk of taking less damage over all so I'd hightly recommend swapping the order of ur skill use
start with point blank khh first, then hammer, spirit bomb can stay at level 1 until boss 3
then u can use it to take out bosses at level 2, but u really dont need it beyond that all to much after that
just for large team fights, so yea do focus on ur Kaioken a lot more
It also allows you to back farm a lot faster, always make sure to reset the Kaioken cooldown after taking out an NPC, then use it to run to the next one to efficently farm
It's funny because it rarely ever occurred to me to do hammer into kamehameha, like yeah it'd happen a few times but khh damage is so strong that oftentimes hammer helps with the followup and is less telegraphed if it's the 2nd ability better than the other way around.
Fax, thats how to go about it cuz Metior hammer is just a great follow up.
The faster the enemy dies the better.

Guys, is it me or does kaio-ken last shorter when you activate it right after landing a skill?
I think it lasts for only the skill when you do that, yeah
I think it's because it adds extra stuff to your skills when you compound them
Extra damage, bigger range, etc.
Well, gokus model does go into kaio-ken for the animation of combining the skill so i guess it makes sense
But its funny to me that getting the timing wrong would technically get you more damage due to kaio-ken lasting longer
Cuz the follow-up does so little damage
Being on the topic of kaio-ken, did you know that upgrading kaio-ken to lvl 2 boosts the damage you get from kaio-ken but upgrading it further to lvl 3 does not?
that sounds like a bug
What are we thinking goku's best build is right now?
I've been running buildup giant slayer defense step, but thinking of swapping buildup for snowball, thoughts?

here is another tip
use Kaioken first before Metior damage, it gets a massive damage buff
ay Max level(level 15) with Gaint slayer on an enemy running no defense, it does almost 2000 more damage
use the Kaioken before Hammer
Do know, if u plan to play in really high level, its an uphil climb, a very difficult and unforgiving uphill Climbm and you'll often have to go the extra Mile to Keep up playing this character
but I wish u the best
Either is just as good. If you're good with him, go snowball. If not, stay buildup.

is it safe to say that he's arguably better than kefla now
Um, depends on if SSG Vegeta is in the lane with him or not. Skill 2 kinda requires the enemy to stay still or move very little to be most effective

the ppl who play this character are either unbelievably garbage or insanely good players to ever grace this game, there is no in between
This is a blatant fact
When ever I see a Goku player on my team I worry that they'll even go afk most of the time
but hen they dont, they steal Bosses in a 1 v 3, get a quad kill, etc
S2-->S3-->S1 is a crazy combo, especially in S2 Cooldown Reduction matches
This guy is good for more than just hammers
its worse when they die all the time lol
yeah he does crazy damage too, with cooldown reduction you can just spam kaioken since S2 replenishes kaioken lol

feels like there is NOTHING i can do against god vegeta or goku
Yeah hitting those skills are what restores your Kaioken, I just prefer activating Kaioken during S2 because of the Stagger

As long as you jump people with your lanemate you get enough kills and assists to excuse using Snowball instead of something like Build Up for your first card (although it's still good if you're in bot lane I think)

not really, hes supposed to be a brawler/secure and late game he cant do that because he'll died in 2 seconds if you dont have build up and defense step
I cant with this game sometimes. Decided I'd continue trying, but I cant do anything when mid fight my partner darts off while im trying to kill the dps in the back thats pegging us
i guess the good news is its starting to feel a little more natural with the combos

I run Snowball, Giant slayer Defense step and go deathless many games, I play as if his passive is always active, let my team do the main thing and I only come in to finish the job
that is ideally how a lpt of people play him, like an assasin
but I prefer to play him as a play maker, I'll go in a 1 on 3 by myself to take em out alone
If they let you do that you're overlevelled as hell
I mostly play passive though, and only fight when my card set uo is complete, and till then I just take bosses
the same level most of the time
I just run build up, Gaint Slayer(I'll swap out depending on the situation), and Backstab
Oh you're hella agressive
its just a play style difference though, i like making an impact like that on the feild

Nah I accepted that SSJ Goku not matter what nerfs are thrown at him will never not be meta in some shape or form
every new meta isn't gonna take him down

I try to get kills the majority of the time, buuuuut it seems SB is solid for bosses if times right.
you do both build up allow you to get close enough to throw the spirit bomb
