One of the bug reports said he had no mods. I've also not been able to pinpoint an exception occuring or so in the logs. It's as if it just doesn't fully load it. I don't know much about how the game actually loads so I'm a bit clueless. Since joining other games usually goes fine, even rejoining, I have a feeling that the host' state can get corrupted at some point after which you can't rejoin ... but that's a wild guess

Running a game with Peaker for additional scouts. One scout made it to the top of Roots successfully and accessed the revive statue, but no one revived and the scout wasn't given an item. Has anyone else experienced similar?

If it detects dead players it respawns them. If it doesn't it gives the item. Given that it doesn't give the item, it obviously detected dead players. So... something went wrong after that, giving an error or blocking the abilitiy for that player to revive there

I've not seen it happen in vanilla or even my own PEAKER modded lobbies, as well as not have seen a bug report for it pass by. So I'm wondering if another mod could be intervening. player.log and player-prev.log (see in some bug reports in #1371455169098678292 on how to find those files) could help pinpoint if there's been an error

That would be a massive undertaknig. The closest we have is probably the terrain randomizer. On the modding server there is a level editor where they can generate current biomes. But I've not seen anything on a separate custom biome out there

Can current biome levels be edited/generated easily? Yes. Is there a new biome somewhere out there that looks and plays different and perhaps has its own functionalities? Not yet.

There are more specific details and all that. But I think for the technical details you can ask on the modding server. But long story short I'm not aware of a custom biome mod you can just download and play rn, other than TerrainRandomizer for randomizing current biomes

depends on the mod, it tells you in the tags on the thunderstore page

Host Only means that only the host needs to have the mod for effects of the mod to be visible for entire lobby

Client Side would mean that it affects only one client (the one with the mod)

All Clients requires that everyone in the lobby has the mod for it to function and display properly

I've seen it reported by people without mods. I feel like it is a desync bug. I've played various games with various mods and only ever seen it occur once. The preious anticheat didn't load the next biome upon interaction with a present campfire by anyone, but it didn't interfere with the disappearing campfire wood

It's also one of those bugs that's not easy to reproduce consistently I think which makes it harder to solve it

I've only seen it happen after Mesa, which leads me too believe its lag contributes to the desync

Similarly I've seen the shaknig ragdoll bug a few times after Mesa

nah the one time it happened to me was at shore campfire/start of roots. I do think its a desync, cos I usually play with friends who live in the same country, but the ragdoll I had was the 1 time i played with somebody from a different country

explains why its happening more in lfg lobbies compared to normal lobbies as well - because lfg's are more likely to be connecting from different regions etc etc

It depends on the mods and if it is the following:
Host Only means that only the host needs to have the mod for effects of the mod to be visible for entire lobby

Client Side would mean that it affects only one client (the one with the mod)

All Clients requires that everyone in the lobby has the mod for it to function and display properly

if you are worried about statue being used before players die, you should consider using mods that make campfire revive players

I don't know of an actual mod to do so yet. It should be theoretically possible to write one; has to be seen if it is better to ignore the revive call, or whether it is better to let the revive call go through but immediately negate its effects by keeping the players dead and somehow allowing action on the statue again. Another option is to consider disabling the statue altogether and having the campfire ressurect everyone

so I hopped in https://discord.com/channels/1368870708335083650/1476301332024393909 with @novel dome and several other Russians because I understand the language a little and they immediately demanded I only speak Russian which is fair they did put RU in the name of the chat. As an American I have been told my entire life that Russians are extremely hostile and tend not to see reason. Despite this, in 2012 I started learning to speak Russian. Since then I have gotten extremely rusty and all I can recall are the conjugations.

Anyways... I was talking back and fourth for like 30 minutes to an hour and we were having a good time but one of the players found out I was using client side mods and became extremely hostile. The guy didn't even let me plead my case. I am visually impared, I had a brain tumor that bled onto my optic nerve causing me to experience glacoma symptoms and start going blind. Since the tumor has been excited my vision hasn't fully returned. They didn't even give me the opportunity to disable the mods, they guy wanted me out so I got kicked.

I joined another Russian voice chat and they immediately became hostile at how bad my Russian was. I just really don't get this at all. Have any of you had similar experiences or do most people here stick to only playing with other modded players?

@neon crypt was pretty chill though... I can't recall if it was @novel dome or @orchid kayak that became hostile with me but this just does not look good...

question: does anyone know how to use r2modman and Decky LSFG simulataneously on Steam Deck? i keep trying to put both launch options but only one of them work at any given time. if LSFG takes effect, r2modman doesn't do anything, and vice versa.

1. Singleplayer has a pause on vanilla anyway, when you hit esc and the menu pops up, thats paused (singleplayer only)

2. The mod you linked hasn't been updated in 6 months, before a lot of major game updates, so its most likely outdated and broken

How i do to play with other people by using the URL and play with mods (thunderstore)?

Firstly install any mods that are required to join their lobby (if any)
Then paste the lobby URL into a browser search bar, press enter. It will prompt you to open the game on Steam.
Make sure you are not in the airport lobby when accepting the invite. If you stay on the main menu, then the lobby is full or closed.

You can use a lobby link to give for others to join
A little guide down here to let you know how to make one
How to make lobby code:
In the main menu, go to settings and change lobby mode to 'open to friends'.
Then press host and go into the airport.
The green 'join game' button should now appear on your steam profile. Right click it to copy the link :)
