looking at the games files with ILSpy and I cannot find the script that determines if a root will be mandrake or medicinal, does such a script even exist or is each root predetermined on map generation?

They probably got that from knowing that there are two options, but only one can be true. Hence, 1/2 = 50%

yeahh we're a bit confused about the wiki atm.... it says theres a 50% chance of a medicinal root being a mandrake, but then someone else wasnt able to find any reference to it in the script

so we dont know if someones gone 50/50, either it is or it isnt

or if theres actually a reference that someone else has missed lol

anyone able to help me? I'm trying to open peak with mods but every time i try, the ground is invisible. Opening vanilla, the only version that doesnt have invisible ground is Vulcan, and i dont really know how to fix it.

mod managers should default to vulkan by default too

1st make sure your mod managers launch parameters havent been set to vulkan

can test if Healing Campfire, Cozy Campfire, or Eternal Friendly Campfire works or not

but usually the invisible ground on vanilla dx is due to your pc not meeting the minimum specs, and vulkan helps with that

so it could just be that with mods its pushing it even further

Atlas has a bug with the backpack right now

is anyone else experiencing a problem where playing modded (through r2modman, not sure if this makes a difference) when you die it makes you a ghost even when you're solo/there are no other players alive and you have to manually leave? Also a bug where when you get to the peak it does a countdown and then stops on 0 and the game doesn't finish? I've experienced the ghost after death issue myself, and then seen friends on a modded run (I think a more players mod was all they had installed) have the stuck at the peak issue.

Anyone else have had problems with someone being unable to late join since the update? People could join the lobby and stuff but the one player that late joined after we started just ended up on the Peak menu. Before the patch we had no problem with someone joining late while using PEAK-Unlimited. (also latest version) But since the patch it seems it doesn't work.

Host Only means that only the host needs to have the mod for effects of the mod to be visible for entire lobby

Client Side would mean that it affects only one client (the one with the mod)

All Clients requires that everyone in the lobby has the mod for it to function and display properly

Iirc there is an in-game mod config mod but it requires other mods to implement stuff to work with it

The latest update for foothold made it really laggy
I was checking to see if my lobby was the issue, so I went back to version 1.3.0
And the lag completely disappeared
Basically what happens is I'd press the button (the setting I use is toggle) and it would take ~5 to 10 seconds for the dots to appear

It seemed tied to my framerate somewhat, I had worse frames near shore with 12 other ppl, and it would take around 10 seconds to show
but in kiln with like ~7 other people it took only a few seconds to show

Because I spread the workload over a few frames instead of doing it all in one single frame.
It would be fine if you don't have any frame drop, but if your game is already lagging, it will be slow as well.

It's okay if you want to revert. Or made a setting that you can change to use the old method.
