Having issues with our current mods for group plays.

This is the current profile, but there's two issues so far with it

we started with 5 people in the airport, and had a mid-game joiner, making 6

we had someone who joined at the airport disconnect, but when they reconnected, they were trapped as a ghost at sea (below the map(?). the person who joined us mid-way didn't have this issue.

the person who joined us midway at alpine couldn't traverse past the campfire at kiln; they were stuck there and had to run back to turn into a ghost to watch us climb kiln. This problem has been replicated in the past as well.

which mods are everyone using together (late join + respawn) that seems to be the least buggy?

oddly, thats not what was happening with the mod. It was spawning them as a ghost after the campfire was lit. even if we had just lit the campfire and didnt leave the campfire yet

then its just the matter of finding the right "5+ players" mod to use but you and someone else said PeakUnlimited so I guess we'll give that a try if getting rid of PeakLateJoin doesn't get rid of the issue.

Host Only would mean that only the host needs to have the mod and it would affect entire lobby
Client Side would mean the mod is only affecting one client
All Clients would mean that everyone would need to have the mod for it to function properly

nah you can either manually install mods (but if youre new to modding i wouldnt reccomend this), or you can use a modmanager.

would reccomend you download a modmanager such as r2modman here -> https://thunderstore.io/c/peak/p/ebkr/r2modman/ (click manual install)
you can then select peak as the game, and download mods simply from there. If youre using using more players with friends id reccomend peak unlimited

there isnt a modded 'version' - theres just different mods ppl have made for the game

it depends what type of mod it is - some are host only mods and some are all players needed mods. (it just depends whether it uses things already in the games code/files , or not).
Mods like 20 player mods only need the hosts to have it.

Check your resource usage, playing modded uses up more resources so even if you have 16 GB of RAM you might be using it all up depending on if you're running anything else alongside r2modman, Steam, and the game you're playing

r2modmanager is completely safe as long as you got it from thunderstore or github. r2modman.com is not official, however it's confirmed to not have malware on it. Perhaps you installed dodgy software, dont just blame it on the last thing you installed.

How to make lobby code:
In the main menu, go to settings and change lobby mode to 'friends'.
Then press host and go into the airport.
The green 'join game' button should now appear on your steam profile. Right click it to copy the link :)

see if that makes a difference, dx is easier on the CPU than vulkan is, so it can help depending on where the issue lies

disabling that nvidia stuff for peak specifically tho should help anyways and make dx12 more stable, nvidia has always given me trouble for old games or just alt tab brightness bugs running true fullscreen

you shouldnt run peak in windowed fullscreen mode or fullscreen as those are buggy for me on my old pc and new pc

everytime you alt tab your fps drops more and more lmao

windowed mode has been the most stable and reliable

nah its cos theres no way to kick someone without flooding them with packets, which causes stress on the servers (and so could cause issue between the server provider and the game) or be considered a ddos attack
