Anyone that is using atlas on thunderstore having problems with it spawning banana peels when you join a lobby? Every time i join one that someone else is hosting it spawns them under everyone. i believe its from some of the mods clashing but i wanted to check here before i spend the time testing each mod

erm slippypeak spawns banana peels if youre below 10% stamina, i assume you dont have this cos its a rly new mod but i saw it announced the other day which is why its in my head lol

That sounds entirely within the question of the implementation.

Obviously a bit too of a hyperbole but it’s kinda the same thing as asking “if I made a meteor would it be all black or a super complex shifting pattern of refraction”

im more wondering if the actual climbing interaction is possible if the surface is moving. I've seen the way that surfaces are differentiated from ledges to walls. but yeah i guess anything is possible.

like if i try to grab a moving wall am i going to travel with the wall or is the wlal going to move out of my grip and let me fall?

(unless a particular mod says using it will deactivate achievements and they've coded it in to prevent you getting any.... But I haven't seen any that are like that)

to add onto what kressa said, if youre new to modding it might be better to use a modmanager and download the mod from there than to manually install. R2Modman or thunderstore would be best for this

Peaker, have ingame options (f9 keybind) like slowing down spazzing out/glitching Scouts who joined your game late even clients can use. Also slows down the respawn of all dead scouts so there's less chance that a scout will fly if there's too many dead scouts etc

Doing similar - there is a teams mod, with racing in mind. Not tested it though. I would strongly suggest you have a "moderator" hosting the race but not taking part - optionally, a second moderator killed by the host at the start so they can observe as a ghost. The host should have unlocked console (Advanced Console) and other things to detect foul play and the ability to punish cheaters and generally keep control of things.

I agree with everyone else telling you to use a mod manager, but on the thunderstore link you click manual download, and you should get a .zip, in that zip will be the dll you're looking for.
On the github the only release is a unitypackage, so you'd need to grab the source and compile it in something like visual studio, or anything else than can compile c#.

Is PeakThings by Evaisa compatible with the current patch, or is another mod causing problems?

It took awhile to get it to where it would even load the game instead of locking up on the Landfall / Aggro Crab screen. Now that it loads I cannot left-click interact with Arson, and the camera item will not zoom or record.

The other mods in the pack are BepinExPack_Peak v5.4.75301, PEAK_Unlimited, DanceTilYouDrop, PhotonCustomPropsUtils, DetourContext_Dispose_Fix, AutoHookGenPatcher, and Unitask.

There is a '!' by DetourContext_Dispose_Fix and AutoHookGenPatcher. When I click the "!", it says Error BebpInEx-BepInExPack-5.4.2100 could not be found.

The mod list originated from a game session played by other players, but I trimmed it down to the smallest I could, so I can't rule out cutting something important, but know that would usually show up on other game mod lists as a "!" on the other mod associated with it.

I am testing the list on Offline Mode if that matters any.

Is there a mod I could use to apply godmode to a specific player? Doesn't seem like that's possible with Atlas. I'd looking to mix up hikers hunger where they can't take damage, but could still say be knocked over or blasted away from dynamite

Unfortunately, and i know from experience, mods like these must be active for everyone. Hell, i had atlas commands not work on me cause i was vanilla

Stuff like teleporting a player? totally fine, but many mods struggle with affecting vanilla players

Well actually, you should ask @midnight sleet . Even though he doesnt host anymore he had this mod where the user would regen from ALL ailments a lot faster, even ones that normally dont go away on their own

Have you tried PlayerDistanceDisplay? says 0 impact on perfomance...but I have even fewer mods than you and SOMETHING causes the game to start lagging for me, it can get real choppy and unplayable. Anyone else experience this?

I had that mod before, but I don't remember experiencing any lag. If PlayerDistanceDisplay is causing the lag, then I recommend using AlwaysDisplayPlayerName as an alternative since it does the same thing, but its always on, so you don't have to press a button. I haven't had any lag with it. Hope this helps.

hey not sure if it only started after using a specific mod... but when you play vanilla what launch option do you choose?

mod managers default to using vulkan, which has a higher cpu requirement for peak than dx does. So if you usually use dx when launching vanilla through steam this could be why

Are you using a mod launcher? Since putting -dx12 in steam doesnt work, you have to put it in the launch parameters under settings on the profile on your mod manager

Client side mods no, mods that give extra stam or a advantage over other people in public lobbies tho. Most kids cant figure out which is client side mods and which is client side cheating.

and most people arent gonna just stay cheating in singleplayer lol. Whats the point unless youre developing something which more than likely you arent

better backpack is pretty cheaty imo, youre supposed to put your bag down on semi solid and flat ground not be able to whip out a lolipop on a pixel foothold which you can do with better backpack. Depends what types of cheats he uses if he uses x2 or infinite stam with x3 climb speed and takes all the luggage loot it would effect ya

which then means you have more time to not lose hunger/daytime/ also removes basic knowledge of figuring which is a safe spot to place your backpack. If it took 10 key presses to manage your backpack inventory id say yeah. But you press 4 and q then hold e and drag down to pick up your bag. Also removes the fact you could lose your backpack on a cliff entirely.

Everyone will have a different line in which mods must cross to be cheats.
You might find infinite stamina a cheat, you might find better back packs a cheat. At the end of the day, this game is up to you how you want to play it, when it comes to single player or hosting.

I dont care if someone wants to use infinite stamina to play the game. I would care if it in my lobby I am hosting, especially if I set out rules like others do in #🔨peak-lfg-modded . I think its just common decency to follow a host's terms.

Wemod is different because its not really a mod. It's a cheat engine. I dont see any valid reason to be using it in other people's games unless they have given permission to.

I don't think they are the same level of cheating, as one is blatantly trivializing the game and the other provides an upgraded version of what one might consider a bad game mechanic. It can get annoying using vanilla backpacks with the multitude of run ending glitches they can produce, so I completely understand using it as a quality of life change. My issue is people using it in VANILLA servers where it provides a slight edge over other scouts and violates the rules.
